00:00 "Uncle Jack!"
00:01 "Jackie boy! How's it going?"
00:03 Welcome to WatchMojo!
00:05 And today we're counting down our picks for the most memorable cameos
00:09 and otherwise forgettable films that make them a little more worthwhile.
00:14 "What's that?"
00:16 "Nothing. It's a weather experiment."
00:20 Number 10. Shaquille O'Neal - Grown Ups 2
00:26 "What's up with the school bus?"
00:27 Nobody would have expected Shaq to play a police officer in an Adam Sandler movie.
00:32 Through his natural charisma, the former NBA star makes it all worthwhile with his
00:37 upbeat performance. He pretends to confront the main friend group before turning everything into
00:42 a dance party. "Say ho!"
00:46 Towering over everyone, Shaq shows that he's equally gifted in front of a camera as he is
00:51 on the courts. The basketball player somehow manages to be funnier than all of the other
00:55 comedy legends in the scene. For a movie that largely underutilized its comedic talent,
01:00 Shaq's presence in this entertaining sequence seems like a breath of fresh air.
01:05 "He's a ballet fan. All of them."
01:07 Number 9. Bill Murray - Dumb and Dumber 2
01:18 "So what have you been up to, buddy boy? Seen any good movies lately?"
01:21 While he might not have been in the original, Bill Murray was a welcome addition to Dumb and
01:25 Dumber 2. In the sequel, Murray plays Ice Pick, the unexpected roommate of Harry,
01:31 who has turned their apartment into a drug lab. Hidden behind a mask throughout,
01:36 Murray provides a cameo that focuses solely on his comedic timing and less on his star power.
01:42 "How's it going, Ice Pick?"
01:43 "Best day ever. Greatest day of my life, really."
01:46 Fans of Breaking Bad will likely enjoy this hilarious reference. It might be challenging
01:51 to recognize the comedy icon initially, but repeated viewings elevate this scene as the
01:56 highlight of this largely forgotten sequel. You can't help but commend the actor for showing up
02:02 in a thankless role and still being completely hilarious.
02:05 "Pick cooks up a rock candy that'll make you dizzy."
02:08 Number 8. Tom Brady - Ted 2
02:11 "Yeah, can I help you?"
02:12 "Hey, um, are you, uh, Tom Brady?"
02:16 "Yeah."
02:17 The titular bear in this fantasy comedy sequel needs a sperm donor to have a child.
02:22 So naturally, he looks for the best possible candidates. Enter legendary footballer Tom
02:27 Brady. Ted and his friend John try to sneak into Brady's house to acquire the sample.
02:33 It's a ridiculous scene made all the more absurd by the presence of the real quarterback.
02:38 "Two league MVPs, four Super Bowl rings, guaranteed first ballot hall of famer."
02:44 Things turn south in hilarious ways as he wakes up and foils their plan.
02:49 Brady doesn't appear in a lot of movies, which makes this cameo even more special.
02:53 It showcased the NFL player's willingness to poke fun at himself and injected this
02:58 comedy with the spark it desperately needed.
03:00 "Someone's trying to steal Tom Brady's jizz again."
03:03 Number 7. Michael Bolton - Snow Dogs
03:07 "Remember, no matter what color you are, you can still have soul."
03:11 Snow Dogs isn't exactly the pinnacle of Cuba Gooding Jr.'s career,
03:15 but it does feature this enjoyable gag.
03:18 After getting lost in the snow, Ted Brooks hallucinates that he's relaxing in a tropical
03:22 paradise. In the whimsical scene, the character lounges on the beach and envisions himself
03:28 engaging in a conversation with Michael Bolton. The scene is unapologetically silly, featuring
03:34 a funny exchange between the two in which Bolton asks for a cookie.
03:37 "Can I have one of those blue cheese cookies, please?"
03:39 The singer gives Brooks advice and exudes an abundance of charm, managing to make at
03:44 least one scene in this movie genuinely hilarious. It's the kind of bizarre cameo that would
03:49 shine even brighter in a more noteworthy project.
03:52 "Where am I?"
03:53 "My, my, my. Sleep and beauty finally awake."
03:58 Number 6. Mariska Hargitay - The Love Guru
04:02 "Mariska Hargitay, your holiness."
04:04 "Mariska Hargitay, Jessica Simpson."
04:06 Many people would argue that The Love Guru ranks among the worst comedies of its decade.
04:11 Despite being critically panned, it still features a fun cameo from this TV icon.
04:16 It turns out that Mike Myers' character, Guru Pitka, uses Mariska Hargitay's name
04:21 as a greeting, making for a welcome surprise when he encounters the real person.
04:25 "Mariska Hargitay, Guru Pitka."
04:27 "Mariska Hargitay."
04:28 "Mariska Hargitay?"
04:34 Willing to make fun of herself, the SVU star makes this more hilarious by fully committing
04:39 to the joke. The scene also cleverly nods to the actress' work on Law & Order, with
04:44 the signature sound effect.
04:46 "We are establishing the Mariska Hargitay Special Victims Unit."
04:49 While the appearance is brief, it still injects a welcome dose of absurdity
04:57 and provides a chance for Hargitay to play a less serious role.
05:02 Number 5. Ozzy Osbourne, Little Nicky.
05:05 "Ozzy starts at 30 minutes, maybe that'll cheer you up, Nicky."
05:08 You don't have to be a metalhead to love Ozzy Osbourne's appearance in Little Nicky.
05:12 Through a series of unexpected turns, the self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness appears
05:17 out of a mysterious orb. His arrival comes just in time for him to bite the head off
05:21 a bat, an apparent reference to his infamous 1982 bat incident.
05:26 "You can do it, Ozzy! Bite his freaking head off!"
05:30 Whether his appearance makes sense or not is up for debate, but what's certain is
05:35 that the heavy metal godfather brings a delightful energy to this otherwise lackluster comedy.
05:40 And there's no question that his cameo is a seamless fit in a film centered around Satan.
05:45 "Here, kill him with this."
05:47 Despite some questionable CGI, the sequence plays out like a twisted fantasy,
05:53 which Osbourne magnifies in every way.
05:56 Number 4. Paul McCartney
05:59 Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Men Tell No Tales
06:02 As Jack Sparrow gets hauled off to jail, he unexpectedly runs into a relative of his,
06:08 Uncle Jack, played by Beatles legend Paul McCartney. The character, who is also a fellow
06:14 prisoner, allows McCartney to unveil his comedic chops, in addition to showcasing his musical
06:19 prowess through some singing. He also gets to wear authentic garb that adds an extra
06:23 layer of authenticity to the scene.
06:25 "A skeleton goes into a bar, orders a beer and a mop."
06:29 "Funny as ever."
06:33 Surprisingly, McCartney doesn't hold back. The musician lands every joke,
06:38 brightening up this entry in the Pirates franchise with his unique charm. His ability to execute
06:43 dark humor and brilliantly play off Depp's character comes as a welcome surprise to this
06:48 adventure.
06:48 "I mention my name, they won't cut your feet off."
06:51 Number 3. Charlton Heston
06:54 Planet of the Apes
06:55 The villain Thade consults his father, Zaius, in the 2001 version of Planet of the Apes.
07:08 Behind the impressive makeup, the elder character is actually portrayed by Charlton Heston.
07:13 His presence gives this troubled adaptation some added gravitas.
07:17 "In the time before time, we were the slaves and the humans were the masters."
07:26 It's also a bit ironic to see him on the other side this time,
07:30 considering that Heston played the lead human in the original 1968 film.
07:34 Heston tries to give a Shakespearean spin to his lines and ends up elevating the material
07:39 with his iconic voice. It might not be a ton of screen time, but the emotional sequence
07:43 reminds viewers that he's still a legend.
07:46 "And I'm... I damned them all to hell."
07:49 Number 2. Christopher Lloyd
07:53 A Million Ways to Die in the West
07:55 Christopher Lloyd reprises his iconic role as Doc Brown from Back to the Future
07:59 in this very random scene from A Million Ways to Die in the West.
08:03 "Hello?"
08:04 Seth MacFarlane's character stumbles into a woodshed where he finds the scientist busy
08:12 at work on a DeLorean. Fans of the original sci-fi franchise must have loved to see Lloyd
08:17 again, especially with the iconic car by his side.
08:21 "Welcome to my latest experiment. This is a big one, the one I've been waiting for all my life."
08:24 "Ah, well, it's a DeLorean, right?"
08:26 The legendary actor conjures up all of Brown's energy to give viewers
08:30 another glimpse of the beloved character. While the overall movie might be a mixed bag,
08:35 this scene at least gives audiences a nice boost of a nostalgia,
08:39 complete with a famous catchphrase to excite your inner child.
08:43 "Great Scott!"

08:58 Number 1. Al Pacino - Gigli
09:04 "What are you gonna do? It's a real nuisance. But what are you gonna do?
09:09 I gotta fight it, right?"
09:10 Counted among the greatest actors of his generation, Al Pacino has also been in some bad
09:15 movies. This includes everything from falling in love with Adam Sandler in Jack and Jill to the
09:21 infamous Gigli. In the latter project, Pacino plays a hot-tempered mobster and tries to make
09:27 this box office bomb entertaining. "There are a multitude of qualities
09:31 an individual can possess that make them intimidating. Not only this, this is the outside,
09:37 then there's the inside." Despite the film's overall lack of cohesion,
09:41 this standout sequence gives the actor a chance to raise his voice and shoot someone. It's a scene
09:46 that's funny and campy in the best way possible. While the movie's various genres may not come
09:52 together by the end, Pacino's cameo at least offers a moment of thrill for fans of mob movies.
09:58 "And whether you wanna call a thumb, a finger, or a digit, for the sake of this discussion,
10:07 it doesn't really matter." Did we forget a notable cameo from a bad movie?
10:11 Let us know in the comments below. "I think I much prefer just to, you know, end it right here."
