00:00 I want to give you this gift. I want you to be my first.
00:03 Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for terrible films from cinematic legends.
00:08 Potential spoilers ahead.
00:10 How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned?
00:14 I don't know!
00:15 Number 10. Batman and Robin. Arnold Schwarzenegger and George Clooney.
00:20 Hey, freeze. The heat is on.
00:23 For this comic book adventure, an A-list cast assembles to wear ridiculous costumes and fight each other.
00:29 Unfortunately, stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger and George Clooney can't save this over-the-top production.
00:34 The former actor plays Mr. Freeze in a role that includes some of the corniest one-liners ever.
00:39 What killed the dinosaurs?
00:41 The ice age!
00:43 Clooney isn't given much of a chance to shine either, dealing with a crazy batsuit, ice skates, and a bad credit card.
00:50 Every step of the way, director Joel Schumacher only leans into the sillier aspects of the superhero universe.
00:56 Even with the other misfires in their catalogues, neither man has ever been in anything else this awful.
01:01 I actually thought I'd destroyed the franchise until they brought it back.
01:04 You know, somebody else brought it back years later and changed it.
01:07 But, you know, I thought at the time this was going to be a very good career move.
01:12 Um, it wasn't.
01:15 Number 9. Dolittle. Robert Downey Jr.
01:18 We've no choice but to embark on this perilous journey to obtain the fruit of the Eden Tree.
01:24 After a decade as Tony Stark, the veteran actor tried to follow up his Marvel success with another potential blockbuster.
01:30 The result was a highly questionable adaptation of the Doctor Dolittle story.
01:34 Although it survived a number of production setbacks, the movie ultimately might have been better off not seeing the light of day.
01:40 The star mostly acts opposite a bunch of CGI animals and tries to provide some family-friendly adventures.
01:45 You rise to the occasion.
01:47 You're stronger than you know.
01:50 Now remember, courage is not the absence of fear.
01:55 Wait! You got cut off! I can't hear you!
01:58 Along with focusing more on goofy action sequences, the film doesn't allow for Downey Jr.'s quippy energy to let loose.
02:04 You could easily change out any performer for this role and it would still be a failure.
02:07 You were right. I suppose it is nice to get out of the house every once in a while.
02:12 Stubbings! Minnie! Enough! We have far less important places to be.
02:16 Number 8. Garfield the Movie. Bill Murray.
02:19 While he wasn't a terrible choice for the iconic feline, Bill Murray also wasn't enough to make this comedy worthwhile.
02:24 His comedic brilliance feels lost in a film with a subpar, unfunny script.
02:29 Come to papa, baby.
02:30 I didn't see everything.
02:31 Let, let, let, let, let, let, let, let, let, let, let.
02:33 I didn't see my house.
02:34 [Burps] Got milk?
02:36 Murray has been open about the misunderstanding that led him to be cast.
02:39 He took the part without reading the script, thinking it had been written by a different writer.
02:43 I'll catch up with you. It's probably just a mild concussion or a skull fracture.
02:48 Maybe I'll get a CAT scan.
02:49 He has also referenced the project as a major regret in his career.
02:53 If there was any consolation in him becoming the Orange Cat,
02:55 he ended up turning it into a hilarious joke in Zombieland.
02:58 So do you have any regrets?
02:59 Garfield, maybe.
03:04 Number 7. Righteous Kill. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
03:08 My name is David Fisk, detective first grade.
03:12 I've been a cop in the NYPD for over 30 years.
03:17 After sharing the screen in Heat,
03:19 these two legends joined forces for a lesser crime drama.
03:22 This ultimately feels like a project that begins and ends
03:25 with the decision to cast Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
03:28 He ain't talking, eh? Real name Robert Brady.
03:32 Bobby Brady. Damn shame.
03:34 What are you thinking? Marcia? Greg?
03:35 Trying to break the mold with a tricky plot,
03:38 Righteous Kill can't come together in any meaningful way.
03:41 The stars partner up as NYPD detectives,
03:44 but they don't have the right material to work with or the drive to elevate it.
03:47 The serial killer plot also feels a bit hokey for these two icons.
03:51 What's your plan? You gonna arrest me?
03:54 You gonna take me down to the precinct, book me, fingerprint me?
03:59 We almost entirely forgot about this movie,
04:01 and we wouldn't be surprised if Pacino and De Niro did as well.
04:04 Number 6. Catwoman. Halle Berry.
04:07 You boys thought you could come in here and steal all these beautiful things?
04:11 What a perfect idea.
04:15 Not long after the star won an Oscar,
04:17 she decided to try her hand at the superhero genre.
04:20 Nobody expected that the film she chose would be this bad.
04:23 Catwoman is a fever dream of a movie with incomprehensible action sequences
04:28 and bizarre choices from Berry herself.
04:30 In scenes like the flirtatious basketball game,
04:32 everything feels out of place, including the lead performer.
04:45 She also faces off against Sharon Stone's villain,
04:47 but by that point, the entire plot has flown off the rails.
04:50 It's a film that will test your motion sickness
04:52 while making you wonder if Berry fired her agent after production.
04:55 Number 5. Stop or My Mom Will Shoot. Sylvester Stallone.
05:11 So tell me, who are you calling?
05:14 Because it sure as hell wasn't me.
05:15 I was calling my mom.
05:20 After playing so many action heroes,
05:22 Stallone dipped his toes into the comedy world.
05:24 This could have been a great changeup for his career,
05:27 but it instead resulted in Stop or My Mom Will Shoot.
05:30 Go ahead. Make your bed.
05:33 He partners up with Estelle Getty for a buddy film that's as cliche as it is unfunny.
05:37 In some action sequences,
05:39 viewers might even feel secondhand embarrassment for the actor.
05:41 Mommy's gotta change you.
05:43 Mommy, I don't want to be changed.
05:48 I've gotta change you.
05:51 With a tacky story and easy jokes,
05:53 this cop movie becomes a parody of itself.
05:55 Critics attacked the project as one of the worst in the Rocky performer's filmography.
05:59 When asked about it later, Stallone said himself that it was a serious regret.
06:03 Number 4. The Island of Dr. Moreau. Marlon Brando.
06:06 Don't you feel the heat?
06:09 As I do. I can't tolerate the sun.
06:12 And what it's doing to me and what it's doing to all of us.
06:15 The whole life on Earth.
06:17 Often considered among the most inspirational actors of his generation,
06:20 Brando won two Oscars for his iconic work in classic films.
06:24 Let me say that I swear
06:25 on the souls of my grandchildren
06:29 that I will not be the one to break the peace we've made here today.
06:34 All he earned for The Island of Dr. Moreau was a Razzie for his performance.
06:37 The troubled movie tries to adapt H.G. Wells' story,
06:40 but the results are bizarre and sometimes distressing.
06:43 Brando brings unintentional comedy to this unfortunate experience.
06:46 One can only imagine the conversations that took place on set,
07:02 as everyone involved tried to justify the creative choices that were made.
07:06 The film even spawned its own documentary detailing the famously troubled production.
07:10 Much has been said about this remake of the 1970s horror classic.
07:35 Most of it comes down to Nicolas Cage's over-the-top performance,
07:38 which carries this mediocre story into another level of absurdity.
07:41 He's trying to investigate a mysterious island and stumbles onto a murderous cult.
07:45 This plot allows for plenty of outrageous Cage moments,
07:57 including one scene in which he dresses up like a bear.
08:00 He ends up being the Islander's victim in a wild scene for the history books.
08:04 Even though Cage is known for crazy performances,
08:06 he barely manages to make this movie so bad it's good.

10:20 It's a good time to watch a movie that's not just about the characters,
10:23 but also about the story.
10:24 Jeeley, Ben Affleck.
10:26 This rom-com vehicle for Affleck and J.Lo wasn't very funny or romantic.
10:30 I just took a one-bedroom in the front,
10:33 and I've been waiting all day for the phone company to come hook me up,
10:35 but, you know...
10:37 Yeah, it's just kind of a bad, uh...
10:39 It'll only take a second, I promise.
10:40 You know, it's probably a local call.
10:43 The Mummy, Tom Cruise.
10:44 Not even this action star can outrun the lackluster effects and plot.
10:48 Somewhere in there, fighting to get out, is a good man.
10:53 You don't know that.
10:54 I do.
10:56 You know.

11:16 Number 1.
11:19 Movie 43, Almost Everyone.
11:22 Um, Jen, my mom says hi.
11:23 Hello, Jen.
11:26 Hello, Mrs. Miller.
11:28 I'm the pretty girl.
11:30 She is.
11:32 A series of unrelated skits make up this comedy anthology,
11:35 testing the limits of comedic writing and good taste.
11:38 Almost every performer feels left out to dry by this project.
11:41 Neil.
11:41 Veronica.
11:43 Neil.
11:44 You look pale.
11:46 You look pregnant.
11:49 You look like you slept in a soup kitchen urinal.
11:51 Many stars such as Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet seem completely out of place in their respective
11:55 scenes.
11:56 Richard Gere, Kate Bosworth, and Anna Faris don't fare much better.
12:00 In fact, nobody involved feels like they were properly cast for their segments,
12:04 which often involve the raunchiest premises.
12:06 It's no secret that many people involved disliked the final product and wished they
12:10 never done it in the first place.
12:11 By the end, you'll wonder if any of them were blackmailed into being there.
12:14 Basil pissed all over me.
12:19 Oh, no, no, no, he just sprayed you.
12:21 Yeah, it's something male cats do sometimes.
12:23 It means he likes you.
