A delivery driver has revealed a hack to prevent a car windscreen from icing up - using a bottle of VODKA.
Jack Mentiply, 26, reckons he's found the perfect solution to icy car windscreens in the winter months and says it saves him anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes during his rounds.
The delivery driver claims a spray of the vodka on a car windscreen and "a few shots" in the screenwash refill, will prevent it from freezing over.
Jack shared a video demonstrating the simple hack - and claims any "cheap" bottle of the spirit will work just as well.
He is seen pouring the vodka on his windscreen and then filling his screen wash with the remainder of the £7.99 bottle of booze.
In the video Jack explains how alcohol "will not freeze" - therefore preventing anything icing up.
Jack, from Albrough, Scotland, said: "I thought it was a more well-known trick to be honest.
"It is something that I have known for quite a long time, and I have been doing it since I have been driving.
"I was outside doing it the day before I put the original video up, and my neighbour asked me what I was doing.
"Vodka is what I have always used.
"It is very strong so I would have thought it will be the best type of alcohol to use."
After sharing the video to his TikTok, he racked up over 1.8 million views from stunned road users.
Jack followed up with a bonus hack - showing how to create a vodka screen spray so you don't have to pour it directly.
He said: "If you get a spray bottle, and put the top part on the vodka bottle, it will last longer."
Jack said he had previously used shop-bought screen de-icer, but found it much less effective.
He suggested the timing is key and impacts how well it works - recommending drivers do it before bed.
He said: "If you go outside at night and put it on your windscreen, it is far more effective."
