Goff leads Lions

Goff defeated the team that traded him away and the player he was traded for

00:00 The pressure was all on Jared Goff in this game.

00:05 Stafford has been an experienced guy who took his team to the Super Bowl,

00:09 the Rams to the Super Bowl, and won it.

00:11 And Goff was a guy who led the Rams to the Super Bowl but lost it and

00:15 he played poorly in that game.

00:17 And eventually he was unloaded by the Rams to get Stafford.

00:23 The Rams not only gave Goff, but they gave two first round picks and

00:27 a third round pick just to get Stafford and just to send Goff to the Lions.

00:33 And it seemed like Goff was just gonna be a placeholder for

00:37 the Lions at quarterback for a year, maybe two.

00:41 But he really matured after that first season when the Lions went three,

00:45 13 and one behind him, and he played an excellent game on Sunday.

00:50 Now, he needed a little help, he got a great ground game, and

00:54 there's no question that the Lions offensive line was very helpful.

00:58 Gave him lots of protection, even though Goff was sacked three times.

01:03 He had, for the most part, lots of times to wind up and deliver his passes.

01:08 But Goff is the reason that the Lions got to this situation.

01:13 He's not the only reason, but you don't win a playoff game.

01:17 You don't get to the playoffs and

01:18 win a playoff game unless you have a high quality quarterback.
