Part 5 of the TV mystery Quiet As a Nun (1978), starring Maria Aitken as Jemima Shore, the TV reporter investigating the deaths at her former convent school of two nuns and the mysterious legend that haunts it of the "Black Nun", who appears when a death is about to happen. With the mysterious disappearance of one of the schoolchildren, Jemima is determined to find her before it's too late and questions Sister Boniface (Sylvia Coleridge) about any secret passages and catacombs about the convent. There is one: however, to find that, they have to go down to the crypt, where the "Black Nun" awaits them...

This is the only episode that jars slightly for me, and that is the "comedic" element at the beginning involving Tessa's parents Sir Charles and Lady Polly, who are absurd in the context of the rest of this mystery thriller. The rest of the cast - among them Renee Asherson, Susan Engel, Brenda Bruce, David Burke, James Laurenson, Doran Godwin and Mary Healy, not forgetting the child stars, including a young Patsy Kensit - are superb. And apologies for the picture quality, but this is from an old video recording.
