Your ski conditions forecast for the first full weekend of January

Ski resorts throughout the northeastern U.S. will be getting a very welcome dose of snow this weekend.

00:00 Skiers and boarders in northern New Mexico at the Angel Fire Resort are enjoying fresh powder from the latest cross-country storm.

00:07 And it's not going to be long before Northeast snow lovers also get in on some of that too.

00:12 So, Christina Schauhupp has tonight's ski forecast.

00:15 Skiers and snowboarders, you are going to love this forecast into the Northeast.

00:21 Oh, I'm excited just thinking about it.

00:23 Alright, let's start with this.

00:25 Lackluster snowfall for quite a while here in the Northeast.

00:28 But, as we head through this weekend and we talk about our big weekend storm,

00:32 some thumping snow gets back into a region that has otherwise been, well, a touch depressing for skiers and snowboarders.

00:39 Now, Bretton Woods, not the most snow as we head into the White Mountains of New Hampshire,

00:43 but some on the docket as we get to Sunday.

00:45 Saturday is a beautiful day, by the way.

00:47 Enjoy Bluebird Day out on the slopes of Bretton Woods.

00:50 Before Sunday and Monday, we end up with, yes, still cool air temperatures in the 20s, but more cloud cover as well.

00:56 Let's head to Killington, one of my absolute favorite mountains in Vermont.

00:59 The Green Mountains are just beautiful, and here you go.

01:01 You're ready. You're thumping snow as we get into Sunday.

01:04 There you go. You've got some fresh powder on the ground before a Bluebird Day Monday,

01:08 although it will be breezy. I'll just give you that as we head through this next week.

01:11 Now, some more mountains that could definitely use a little help.

01:14 We've got Snowshoe in West Virginia.

01:16 A little ice at first on Saturday, so it wouldn't necessarily get out on the slopes as we get to Saturday.

01:21 But Sunday and Monday, we turn from ice to snow with colder air coming on in.

01:25 My personal favorite. You're ready.

01:27 We're going to go to Montage Mountain in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Muzik, Pennsylvania to be exact.

01:31 I used to ski here almost every day when I lived in Nipa, and I love this mountain,

01:35 and you will love this forecast if you're skiing here.
