Transcript
00:00 We're here with some of the Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School team ahead of the Surf to Surf fun run this weekend.
00:07 How many people will be running and representing the school?
00:11 Well at the moment I think it's about 26. There's a huge regimen tonight or tomorrow morning so hopefully we'll get a few more than that.
00:18 And last year you guys had a pretty successful fun run winning one of the team categories?
00:24 Yeah so we won the overall category. I think it was, I'm not sure what the categories are but I can't remember how many we had in total but around 30-32 around that last year.
00:34 So a lot of the 3Ks, we had a few 6s this year and a few 10s as well.
00:39 And what does it mean for the school to take part in something like this and encourage kids to be active?
00:44 Oh it's great, the kids love it. Isn't that right Harvey?
00:47 It's all about encouraging the pupils of the school and the students to be active and improve their health.
00:54 Since COVID we've ran a run on a Saturday morning so we've done that for the last 3 years now.
01:04 So I think Lenny was probably one of the initial kids that came down for that run so yeah it's been good.
01:12 And kids how are you looking forward to the weekend? What are your expectations?
01:16 Good. I haven't run for a while.
01:23 What do you reckon Indy? I'm looking forward to it.
01:26 What are you doing Indy? Which run are you doing? 3K.
01:29 And Harvey? 6. Lenny? 10.
01:33 Have you done the 10 before? No.
01:35 How are you looking forward to that? Good. I think it's going to be a challenge. Not really.
01:45 What are you going to challenge to keep up with me? I don't know, I'm looking at you Indy.
01:49 You just can't be big for me ok? Best of luck guys. Thank you.
01:55 - Okay, thanks.
