00:00 What was the reps we saw with everyone catching passes, what was that about?
00:04 We were just, you know, doing tryouts for I guess the future so you can play
00:08 receiver. We want to be multiple. It was fun, it was cool. I caught it. Not everyone did.
00:15 But I did. Did you work on reporting as eligible? I did report, well I didn't but I
00:20 should have. It cost us the game. Did you pay attention to any of that over the weekend?
00:24 What's that? The reporting stuff? You and the Lions?
00:29 I saw it. I mean we always make a big emphasis of it if we're bringing in an
00:33 extra lineman to go up and report and be really demonstrative about it just
00:36 because you know you don't want a game to hinge on something like that. So
00:40 unfortunate for them, you know, tough luck. Which one of the best of the, which one of y'all had the best hands?
00:47 I don't, I think it's up for everyone else to decide for themselves.
00:53 I have prying eyes so I don't want to make a statement. Yeah. I'm gonna say I
00:58 did catch and I also got good yak. Best route runner of the group?
01:04 Yeah, I'm gonna say I gave a head fake at the beginning and then released and
01:08 kind of peeled wide and caught it. Five points of contact on the ball, turned up.
01:13 Got good yards. You watched the Alabama-Michigan game? I didn't. I saw the highlights though.
01:19 It's tough. Tough finish for the fellas. How do you feel like this year at White's Apple has went for you?
01:26 I think it's been good. I've enjoyed it. I think I've, you know, I've done a good job.
01:29 So it's just, it's been, you know, not the result we wanted from a team
01:34 perspective. But you know, yeah, this is a tough year for the team but I'm, you know.
01:41 Any different emotions this week? Not knowing what your future could hold in
01:46 terms of if you'll be back here or where you'll be after this game?
01:50 I'm not really thinking about it too much. You know, we still have a big game against a
01:54 divisional opponent this week. You know, we want to end on a high note. Like I said,
01:58 it wasn't the season that we wanted but we still have a chance to end on a
02:01 positive note and, you know, get a divisional win and finish with a winning record.
02:06 Why is that so? You want to be back here, Jonah? I'm not thinking about the future.
02:09 I don't really want to comment on it. I'm just thinking about this week.
02:12 Why is Sunday so important? Getting a winning record. Zach's made it clear that you guys are
02:17 going to play. The starters are going to play. Why is it important to go out on a high note?
02:20 I mean, there's a lot of pride in this city and this isn't, you know, this is a
02:23 rivalry game. This is a divisional game. It's the battle for Ohio and, you know,
02:26 unfortunately it doesn't mean as much right now as we want it to in terms of
02:29 the playoffs and all that stuff. But it's so important to us as a team and
02:33 important to the people of the city and the state. So, you know, we're gonna go
02:36 out there and put out our best effort and try to get a win. How do players get
02:40 when fans are like, "Oh, you know, it'd be better for us to lose so we can get like a
02:43 draft pick next year." I don't know anyone saying that. That's a wild thing to say.
02:50 Because we're all competitors in here and, you know, we want to feel the best
02:54 team that we can and win every game that we can. So I don't think any of us are
02:58 thinking about the future like that, you know, that's kind of above our, I guess,
03:03 pay grade, you would say. So for us, it's just let's go out there, let's play well
03:06 as individuals, as units, and win the game against a divisional rival. What does it
03:11 mean to you, Jonah, when Brian Callahan says you play equally well at right
03:16 tackle as you do left tackle, that, you know, he hasn't seen any drop-off at all
03:21 moving in your transition over there? That's nice for him to say. That's, you know,
03:24 that's what I want to do coming into the season is, you know, prove a little
03:27 versatility and, you know, have a good year and a good performance at right
03:31 tackle. So, you know, I appreciate him saying that and, you know, I like to think
03:36 I added another tool to the tool belt. Did you enjoy playing right tackle? And do you want to play right tackle moving forward?
03:43 Probably wherever. I have enjoyed it. It's been fun. I also love left tackle, so, you know, no
03:49 preference moving forward. I like them both.
03:53 As you go through the offseason, how much of what side you play will dictate
03:56 kind of what you would like to do moving forward? I'm not thinking about the
04:01 offseason too much, you know, we got a big game coming up against good
04:04 opponents, so not thinking about it too much, but, you know, I do like to think
04:08 that I added some versatility to my, you know, repertoire and I think that's only
04:13 good in the NFL. The more positions you can play, the more valuable you are.
04:17 You saw that Browns defense in week one. Did you think these guys are going to be a handful this year?
04:22 Yeah, I mean, I think going into the year you look at their defense, you know,
04:28 and they brought in a great coordinator and great talent on every level, you know,
04:33 D-line, linebackers, DBs, there's not really a weakness, so it was a big
04:37 challenge for us in the first game and, you know, I wish that maybe we had a shot
04:40 of them later in the year when we're firing on more cylinders, but a lot of
04:45 respect to that defense, both scheme and players.
