00:00 Bella was dumped in the shelter while she was in labor and to be euthanized if road dogs didn't rescue her
00:06 She went straight in for an emergency c-section. Four puppies passed away, but two survived
00:11 I've been fostering for road dogs for a few years now. I couldn't say no. So they're here with me now
00:16 Bella was really tired for the first few days and I was a bit worried because I was supposed to separate her from her puppies
00:24 Because she had a big scar from the c-section and they didn't want to mess it up, but she accepted it right away
00:30 That I was feeding her puppies and she was sitting next to me and just watching her helping me clean them a little bit
00:36 I think Bella was very grateful to get some help with her puppies
00:52 Probably first getting dumped by her owners and then ending up in a loud shelter while giving birth
00:58 So me helping her wasn't a problem and still isn't a problem
01:02 Like we're two moms. I'm her nanny basically and she's the mother
01:08 We're a great team
01:17 I talk to Bella all the time and I tell her how loved she is, how safe she is and how perfect her kids are
01:24 I have a feeling she understands me at least on an emotional level
01:28 I have other animals here
01:35 I have other dogs, I have a cat and it took her some time before she could accept them
01:39 But now she lets the cats be around us when we nurse the babies
01:46 She's healing beautifully
01:48 She did her first zoomie yesterday when I asked if she wanted to go for a walk
01:56 And she's showing her personality more and more now. I have always been very passionate about animals
02:05 When I see an animal that starts to feel trust for me, that's the biggest reward
02:12 That was so yummy, huh? I love taking care of them. I love seeing them happy. I love seeing them thrive
02:18 It's just what I do and I can imagine my life being any different
02:22 The puppies probably will get adopted when they're eight to ten weeks and Bella will stay with me until then
02:28 She and I bonded pretty early
02:30 We've grown really close within these weeks of being together
02:35 But she will also be a put up for adoption
02:37 Because if I keep every dog that I love I won't be able to take in new ones
02:42 I have to be able to detach myself eventually from them. Whoever is gonna adopt her are gonna be lucky
