00:05 Hi Believers! It's time again for...
00:08 Cool Labs!
00:10 And this time, we'll get to know more about the Masked Violinist
00:13 who won her music award in the Battle of the Judges.
00:18 And we'll also teach her how to play the violin.
00:22 That's good.
00:23 Let's welcome back Shama!
00:25 [cheering]
00:27 Shama!
00:28 Shama!
00:30 You played well earlier.
00:32 Her style is different, not just classical.
00:35 How long have you been playing the violin?
00:37 I'm four years old.
00:38 Four years old?
00:40 But why did you like playing the violin?
00:42 Because when I was three years old,
00:44 I saw my uncles playing the violin in church.
00:48 So that's when I saw that I wanted to play the violin.
00:52 Ah, I see.
00:54 How long did you practice?
00:57 Classical violin practice lasts all day.
01:02 Pop violin practice lasts all day.
01:05 Can you teach me?
01:07 Of course!
01:08 I'm a bit shy.
01:10 But okay.
01:12 So, our first step is 1, 2, 3.
01:16 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
01:19 Oh my gosh!
01:20 How do you do that?
01:21 1, 2, 3.
01:27 Oh my gosh!
01:28 Oh!
01:29 It suits you.
01:30 Is this it?
01:31 Maybe this is the call.
01:33 Maybe.
01:34 And then?
01:35 And then, we'll stick it together.
01:38 And then, we'll separate it like this.
01:41 Mmm.
01:42 For balance.
01:44 Oh my, the nails are so long.
01:46 And then, we'll put pressure and a big leg so that the string will follow.
01:53 There.
01:55 Make it bigger.
01:56 Make it bigger.
01:57 Oh!
01:59 The first finger is this.
02:03 That's our C.
02:06 He's so good!
02:11 Thank you!
02:13 Thank you!
02:14 So, what will you say there, guys?
02:16 I believe!
02:19 Wow!
02:21 The violin is a wooden chordophone or string instrument that originated from Italy in the early 16th century.
02:42 And did you know that playing musical instruments like the violin has neuroscience?
02:48 That's the science that is related to our brain.
02:51 When we play instruments, the auditory cortex works.
02:55 This is the part of the brain that processes the sound and recognizes the pitch and tone in a music.
03:02 Aside from the auditory cortex, we also use the motor cortex to control the movements of our fingers and hands.
03:11 The cerebellum also ensures that the movements of the body are coordinated and there is timing in playing musical instruments.
03:20 In performing music, there is a science that is amazing.
03:24 I believe!
03:25 I believe!
03:27 Thank you!
