00:00 I thought today was a coaching failure. Kyle Shanahan, the wrong game plan. Steve Wilkes,
00:04 the wrong game plan. I'm sorry, Steve. You've done a great job this year.
00:08 You absolutely exposed the Eagles and put Jalen Hurts out of business. We'll always remember that.
00:14 You're a legend for that. That's a legacy defining game, what you did to those Eagles. But today,
00:19 what the hell was that? You should have just used the Jalen Hurts game plan.
00:28 You let Lamar Jackson skip out of the pocket. Just walk out of the pocket routinely.
00:38 I asked Nick Bosa during the week, "How are you going to defend this guy?" He basically said,
00:43 "Don't do anything special. Get after him in the pocket and wrap him up."
00:49 Nick Bosa and Chase Young routinely just rushed past Lamar Jackson. He was just standing there
00:56 like, "Okay, I guess I'll scramble." I don't know what the game plan was, but it felt like
01:01 they really decided that Lamar Jackson is equally good in the pocket and out of the pocket,
01:07 and they're just going to play him like any quarterback. What? I'm sorry. I've never seen
01:11 Lamar Jackson in person, so I can tell you exactly what he is. I get it now. In the pocket,
01:18 he's not a good quarterback. He's indecisive and he doesn't see the field well.
01:24 He either doesn't see open receivers or chooses not to throw to them or does throw to them and
01:28 misses them. He's not good in the pocket. I'm sorry. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there's stats
01:33 to disprove that. I saw it with my own eyes. He doesn't see the field from the pocket. He's
01:36 indecisive from the pocket. He's inaccurate from the pocket. That's where you want Lamar Jackson.
01:41 Once he gets outside the pocket, he's the best quarterback I think I've ever seen.
01:51 Mahomes is great too. Maybe Mahomes is as good as Lamar Jackson outside the pocket,
01:56 but once he's outside, he's such a threat to run and he can throw. He's really good at seeing the
02:05 field once he's out of the pocket, and once defenses commit to stopping him running, he makes
02:11 big plays with his arm. You can't let him out of the pocket. I know easier said than done,
02:16 but the Niners didn't even make an effort to keep him in the pocket. They're like, "Hey,
02:20 if you want to leave, God love you." No, no. If they can keep him in the pocket, they win.
02:27 If you let him out, you lose. That's what I've learned about Lamar Jackson.
02:30 And frankly, I'm a fan of Lamar Jackson because I feel like
02:34 modern NFL football is outside the pocket. When you're in the pocket, you don't have the advantage.
02:41 The D line is almost always better than your O line, and the defense can disguise all kinds
02:47 of coverages. They can blitz. They can do all kinds of stuff. Once they can play zone,
02:51 once you're outside the pocket, there's no more zone coverage. Everyone just
02:56 mans up, plaster someone. There's no more disguise. There's no more pass rush.
03:01 Yeah, I'll take a quarterback like Lamar Jackson. The Niners have to do a better job.
03:06 Do the job. They didn't do the job. Keep them in the freaking pocket. I don't know how.
03:11 Rush five. Don't rush pass him with your defensive ends. Don't give him any gaps.
03:17 I don't know what to tell you. Early in the game, when they, when the Niners made him run backwards,
03:22 it was a safety, but they didn't do that enough. He could run forward, which is what they didn't
03:26 want Jaylen Hurts to do. I don't understand how they didn't do the same thing with Lamar Jackson.
03:31 Steve Wilks was terrible in this game. Sorry. Nathan Flores says, this is what happens when
03:37 you go cheap on the O line. It's what happens when you face the AFC North. Niners are now one
03:42 and three against that division. How about that? Vi Vickers says, do you think Fred Warner is not
03:47 bulky enough to play Mike? Why can he not tackle? Cause he's not a linebacker. He's a DB in college.
03:54 Who's a lot who's muscled up since then, but he's just not, he's there. He is an all pro because of
04:00 his coverage. Not because of his tackling. That's the truth. Wave nine says Brock equals nice.
04:05 Lamar was special, special. Let's not blame the defense when they're on the field. Most of the
04:08 time grant. Let's not compare her to Lamar defense's guests. Now I said what I said, wave
04:13 nine, the Niners did a terrible job of keeping Lamar Jackson in the pocket. And I don't think
04:17 they even made it like a point of emphasis. Bobbo says, Purdy had a terrible game, but three of the
04:23 four, three of the four picks felt like forced turnovers by the Ravens. That O line is a problem.
04:28 It felt very much like the NFC championship game. Don't make excuses for Brock Purdy.
04:32 His wife can do that for him. His parents can do that for him. You're not in his family.
04:36 Don't make excuses for him. I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback, but he was terrible today.
04:41 We had bad luck. Young Montana, remember for 28 months, man. How about that? JL says terrible
04:46 Lamar assessment. If y'all had him, you win. I saw him today in the pocket. He's indecisive,
04:53 inaccurate outside the pocket. He's unstoppable. He's on freaking stoppable. Maybe, maybe you can't
05:04 keep him in the pocket. I don't know. I don't think they even made an effort to do so. Plumbing
05:07 God 42 says, I guarantee the Niners overlooked this game and didn't prepare. F across the board
05:11 on the coaching staff, miss tackles, loan coverage assignments, piss poor play calling and no
05:15 identity as a team. They overlooked the Superbowl preview. I don't think so. I think they played
05:20 like crap. Nathan says, our D line was horrible. Purdy was horrible. He's not an MVP. They will
05:24 lose next week to Washington. We aren't going anywhere. Ravens exposed us. I don't think they
05:31 don't lose the Washington man. Giovanni Miller says, be honest. Do you think we will still make
05:34 a Superbowl? And do you think pretty will be okay as a quarterback going forward?
05:37 I mean, I think the Niners are the best team in the NFC, so I think they should go to the
05:43 Superbowl, but there's some injuries. Uh, and it's hard to say the Niners are just going to
05:48 roll over, you know, steamroll some AFC team. They've they're two and three against the AFC.
05:55 They've beaten Pittsburgh and Jacksonville.
