00:00 >> Can all year is Bryce gonna progress?
00:02 Is he gonna progress?
00:03 Last week the game went in drive at the end.
00:05 This week, what did you see today?
00:06 First 300 yard game.
00:08 >> Man, impressive.
00:10 Really the stuff that I saw and a lot of us saw in OTA's training camp.
00:16 Just that confidence, that kind of attitude.
00:19 And then you collectively make some plays for him and watch out.
00:25 He's got the hot hand, as we say.
00:27 So obviously super impressive and excited to build on that.
00:32 >> Adam, you were right there with that dog's catch and
00:34 you were adamant about it wasn't a catch.
00:36 What did you see there?
00:37 And then how does it, I mean, obviously the call didn't go your way and
00:40 it was a huge one.
00:41 >> Yeah, I saw the whole play.
00:43 I saw a catch and then ball moving as he's going to the ground.
00:47 Ball moves, controls it again, hits the ground, and then loses again.
00:53 So in my opinion, the ball moved twice in two different times.
00:58 So there really wasn't enough time to control the ball.
01:00 They say control and then a football move.
01:03 There was no football move.
01:04 And then he rolls out of bounds.
01:05 So you can slow mo it and say, one, 1,000, two, 1,000, three,
01:10 that was some slow mo.
01:11 And full speed, that's no catch.
01:14 So kind of what you get when you play the Packers.
01:17 >> Does it sting?
01:18 What do you mean by that?
01:19 >> Usually they get the benefit of the doubt on some calls.
01:22 >> Does it sting even more that the offense had their best game and
01:26 then to kind of get maybe robbed of an opportunity to have that win?
01:31 >> I wouldn't say it stings.
01:32 I think it's just, yeah, I mean, you put the work in.
01:35 Obviously, you want the results.
01:38 But at the end of the day, that's just how this game works.
01:41 It's a collective effort.
01:42 It's not offense or it's not just defense or
01:44 it's not just best teams, it's everybody together and really playing together.
01:48 The Packers did a great job moving the ball,
01:51 putting up points on a really good defense.
01:53 So credit to them, they played a great game and made some great,
01:58 some big plays in the moment, even that catch that was controversial or
02:01 whatever was a great play by a kid and a great play call.
02:04 So they did a great job.
02:06 It's not taking anything away from them because they did a great job and
02:09 they obviously earned the victory.
02:11 >> Adam, you got some strobe.
02:12 >> Go ahead.
02:13 >> When Mars get him the ball in his hands and
02:14 kind of opening up things on those end rounds of sweeps,
02:17 what does that do to him a lot?
02:19 >> Yeah, he's a special player when he gets the ball in his hands.
02:22 Obviously, you saw it early with his punt returning ability and
02:27 making some big plays there, obviously the touchdown.
02:29 But even before that, just some of the field position that he was set up for.
02:33 So usually when that stuff usually translates over to offense,
02:37 when a guy can make plays consistently in special teams,
02:40 usually it translates to offense just like Blackshear.
02:44 And so we're gonna need him to make plays and even running routes.
02:48 And he does a great job when he gets opportunities.
02:50 And usually in this league, if you make the most of your opportunities,
02:55 usually it keeps coming.
02:56 >> Adam, six seconds left on that final play.
03:00 Did y'all have an amount of time that you knew that you could throw the ball in
03:04 the middle of the field, go down, spike it?
03:07 Is there- >> Yeah, no,
03:08 I think there was enough time there, obviously.
03:11 I think we got it off, obviously it was close, but could use a little help from
03:16 our operator and a little help from the rest.
03:18 Usually they give you the benefit of the doubt, but I honestly have no idea cuz I
03:22 didn't see the play clock, I was just trying to get lined up.
03:24 >> Does it bother you that these plays are potentially taking away from
03:29 Bryce's career game?
03:31 >> Yeah, definitely, but at the same time, obviously a lot to build on.
03:36 It'd be different if we were, it was a playoff push or something like that.
03:42 Those would hurt a lot more, obviously.
03:45 But just to see what he can do, what we've seen from him, from OTAs,
03:49 training camp and all that, and to be able to build on that.
03:52 And really, it's just that collective effort, O-line, protecting great in
03:57 second half, guys making plays out of the place.
04:01 Amir and DJ and just kind of tight ends and running backs,
04:06 just guys really playing a team football game and
04:10 team offense is really what it takes to be special in this league.
04:13 >> But where Bryce is concerned, this seems like next level today.
04:17 >> Yeah, I agree, and again, it doesn't surprise us.
04:20 We've been just kind of waiting for it.
04:22 And again, it's not on him.
04:25 You saw today a lot of guys kind of contributing,
04:30 offense a lot, giving them time.
04:31 And when you do that, he's a special player, which we saw in college,
04:35 we saw in OTAs training camp,
04:37 we saw flashes over when we've kind of been able to do that.
04:40 So it's obviously exciting to build off that, but
04:44 we gotta find a way to continue to build.
04:46 >> This is a Packers defense and scheme that you've faced a lot,
04:49 especially having Jair back out there today.
04:51 Were you able to kind of help Bryce out throughout the game,
04:54 like just recognize what they're doing?
04:56 >> No, no, that's not really in my game, or in my, I guess,
05:01 it's not what I'm paid to do.
05:02 But no, I mean, obviously, I always have things that I see on the field that I
05:08 kind of give suggestions on, but that's about it.
05:12 >> Adam, you guys have struggled in the first half of the game scoring,
05:14 obviously, especially in these last five weeks.
05:16 But today, you guys got going quicker.
05:18 What do you think was the biggest reason?
05:19 >> Yeah, just getting first downs, getting early first downs.
05:22 I think that's something that, in any team, on any offense,
05:25 if you can kind of get some early first downs, you get some momentum,
05:28 you get some confidence.
05:29 And then you go down and you score touchdowns.
05:33 That's huge.
05:34 >> And then for DJ, obviously, he's kind of come alive the last couple of weeks.
05:38 What do you see out of him in that connection with Bryce?
05:41 >> Yeah, just super, obviously, proud of him.
05:44 But just shows the type of man he is,
05:47 to be able to just keep fighting through some tough times.
05:49 And then to really show what he can do and why he was brought here.
05:52 I've played against him a lot of times in the past, and
05:57 I know what kind of player he is when you give him opportunities and
06:01 when he starts getting some confidence.
06:02 So it's great to see him go out there and make plays and that's huge for offense.
