00:00 >> Well, we're just out there playing, obviously,
00:05 wanted to get that but they got cameras, they got the press.
00:10 We're just trying to get this happening as quick as possible.
00:13 >> Bryce, in a losing effort obviously, but
00:17 did you feel like that was as well as you've played this year?
00:21 >> Really, I think it's as good as we've looked as a unit.
00:25 Whatever stats or whatever may say, you point at one person and
00:32 you say, it's all of us.
00:34 I think this was a good building block for us as a unit.
00:36 And then that's all 11 and plus with all the substitutes, of course.
00:43 We all stepped up.
00:44 There's obviously still stuff to clean up.
00:46 Myself, first and foremost, and then us unit.
00:48 There's still stuff we left out.
00:49 There's stuff we gotta get better at, keep improving at.
00:52 And ultimately, it wasn't enough.
00:53 So we gotta be better, but it's a good place for us to build from as a unit.
00:59 >> Bryce, your two wins this year come from behind the fourth quarter last drive.
01:03 This one attempting to at least tie the game to last drive.
01:06 What are you getting out of being in these situations in your first season?
01:09 >> Yeah, again, we just being able to understand the moment,
01:13 know what's going on, we all do that.
01:15 We all embrace that as a unit.
01:17 It's something that, as much as you play football for,
01:21 obviously, especially in the past, we put ourselves in bad situations that
01:25 have made ourselves do that.
01:26 We don't have to do that, so we wanna try to be better at that.
01:30 But when those moments come, I just have full faith and
01:33 confidence in my guys that we're gonna step up.
01:36 We're gonna execute.
01:38 We're gonna do what's right and be able to move the ball.
01:41 And we all have that faith in each other, so I think that's where it stems from.
01:44 >> Bryce. >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:49 >> Yeah, Mir's been doing a great job.
01:53 Everyone, obviously, we're starting to see it come more into effect on Sundays.
01:58 But what you don't see is how hard he's working throughout the week,
02:01 practicing super hard.
02:02 Just trying to make sure, asking questions, making sure he's [INAUDIBLE]
02:07 That someone who worked his way up to earn those snaps he's getting, and
02:12 he's doing a great job with it.
02:13 So I have all the faith in the world in him.
02:16 He's doing a great job.
02:16 He's just getting the ball in his hands and making plays.
02:19 It has been great to watch, so I'm super excited to watch him grow.
02:23 >> Bryce, that throw me up, Dobbs catch, what you saw,
02:26 it happened right in front of you in real time.
02:28 You said it was a drop.
02:29 What did you see and take us through that moment?
02:32 >> Just played quarterback, not a ref or an official, so
02:36 caught it in our way.
02:41 >> But with that being said, being a throw forward,
02:43 we are sort of first time in your career, we have a losing effort when there
02:47 are questions about this time at the end, a question about that catch.
02:50 Does it sting a little more?
02:52 >> The sting is that we lost.
02:53 You can try to make up whatever more victory you want with whatever.
02:58 At the end of the day, we do this to win.
03:00 And we didn't get that done.
03:03 I didn't do enough, we didn't do enough.
03:05 We all take accountability for that.
03:06 So yeah, again, we've watched the film.
03:08 There's stuff to learn from, stuff to build off of.
03:12 But it is fresh, right now, again, we didn't get the drop in.
03:15 So ultimately, we still gotta be better.
03:18 >> All right, Chris said that you were in complete control of this whole game.
03:21 Was that a game plan?
03:22 Is it something they were doing that you just recognized like, what?
03:25 >> Really just feeding off my teammates.
03:28 And on top of that, the coaches doing a great job getting me prepared throughout
03:31 the week.
03:32 Us being able to work together, build stuff, talk about things throughout the week.
03:37 Watching stuff, the credit goes to my coaches for
03:41 putting me in that position.
03:42 And then my teammates as well, just us being able to rally around each other and
03:46 build the faith we have in each other.
03:47 >> Bryce, one of the narratives this year has been that,
03:51 outside has been wins and losses, great.
03:55 But Bryce's development is paramount.
03:59 Do you feel like today was sort of just a symbol of how far you've come as a rookie?
04:06 >> Again, I haven't watched the tape yet.
04:08 So I think there's stuff that I can build off of,
04:11 change a few of them, and get some stuff to clean up.
04:14 But that's not at all our thought process.
04:17 The goal is to win.
04:18 What we've worked day in and day out throughout the week is to win games,
04:22 to win games on Sunday, now.
04:24 And we have to earn the right to do that.
04:27 And that's what every coach will say, what every player will say.
04:30 That's what it's about.
04:32 And for me, it's doing everything I can to help that winning effort and
04:36 to be valuable for the team, so we win games.
04:39 So I really like that, that's all I say.
04:41 >> Bryce, you said you had the pieces in place where you could succeed now.
04:47 What made them all work today?
04:49 >> Sorry, could you say that again?
04:51 >> This ain't all year that you had the pieces to succeed.
04:53 What made them work today?
04:55 >> Yeah, I think just as a unit, us coming together and executing.
05:00 Again, we talked about it the whole time.
05:01 We didn't have these magical new players.
05:05 We didn't have these magical new teams.
05:08 We had some new stuff, and T.V. did a great job of dialing it up and
05:12 installing stuff and getting it caught at the right time.
05:14 So that's definitely part of it.
05:15 But ultimately, we talked about it all year, it's just execution.
05:18 Just being the man in front of you, doing the little things,
05:21 feeding off each other, not having mental areas.
05:23 And I think, again, there's still stuff for it to grow from.
05:26 But I think we did a better job of cleaning that up.
05:28 So really, that's what it was all about.
05:30 >> Bryce, I think those all of those things, that one, would be done,
05:32 would be right here, Scott.
05:34 The explosive plays and the offense get kind of ramped up here.
05:38 Talk about what's been the key behind that, not just your play, but
05:42 maybe the coordination that comes around the route concepts.
05:45 What has led to the bigger explosion that has to be there?
05:48 >> Yeah. >> To watch our plays?
05:49 >> Yeah, T.V.'s been doing a great job of dialing stuff up,
05:53 putting everyone in position to be successful.
05:55 Marriage of running past game, creativity, things like that.
05:59 T.V.'s been doing a great job of that.
06:02 And then on top of that, for me, it's just getting the ball to the soldier and
06:06 receiver.
06:06 They're doing a great job.
06:07 They're winning.
06:09 They're winning match-ups.
06:11 They're taking advantage of that.
06:12 So I'm super grateful for that, just trying to find the right people against
06:16 them, but the credit definitely goes to both of us.
06:19 >> Bryce, if you could take us through the two fourth quarter touchdown passes
06:23 to chart specifically what you saw, what you did.
06:28 >> Yeah, the first one, just an end breaker.
06:35 Had good leveraging and great job from T.V.
06:38 dialing that up and getting us to leverage.
06:40 And great job from D.J. being able to keep that, hold that.
06:43 And we've repped that play a good amount of times.
06:47 So just being able to execute also with a clean pocket,
06:51 Lyman did a great job giving me time and the ability to make that happen.
06:56 So again, it's a unit effort.
06:58 And then on top of that, we're kind of a full field thing on the second one.
07:05 Was able to step up and finally to extend.
07:08 Great job again from D.J. breaking off his route.
07:10 Working with me in scramble drill.
07:12 And then just trying to keep playing long to give him time to work.
07:16 And then it's a great, great tow drive catching the back of the end zone.
