00:00 Going into your last game as a Jayhawks, has it hit you yet?
00:04 Are you just focused on UNLV?
00:06 What's the feeling?
00:08 >> Yeah, me and Kenny were talking about that on the way over here.
00:10 It's just gonna be our last game together.
00:13 And we're just trying to soak it all in, trying to enjoy the moment.
00:16 And we're definitely looking forward to Tuesday and
00:19 what's to come on that day, and I think it'll be fun.
00:23 >> What do you see from UNLV?
00:25 >> Yeah, very athletic group, and I think they're well coached.
00:28 They're very disciplined, and I'm excited for the opportunity on Tuesday.
00:34 >> Coach kind of talked about how the guys have had some extra time to develop.
00:38 And have you seen that in the quarterback room, especially with Cole?
00:41 Did this extra month of practice more reps?
00:44 >> Yeah, definitely.
00:45 I think Coach Zia's done a great job.
00:47 I think we've had a fun year, and I think there's been a lot to learn.
00:52 I think we've learned a lot.
00:54 And I think Cole, I think that was good for him to get some action in as a true
00:59 freshman.
00:59 I think those are some reps that he'll remember for the remainder of his career.
01:04 And I think that'll be useful to him too.
01:06 >> How much of a difference will it be with Coach Zia calling the plays for
01:09 you guys?
01:10 >> Yeah, I think there'll be a little difference, but
01:12 I don't think there's too much.
01:14 I think he's really excited about this opportunity and
01:18 being able to call plays.
01:19 And I feel like I kind of have a good understanding of what he's gonna call and
01:24 when he's gonna call it.
01:26 Just from being in the room with him every day, like I said,
01:30 I think he's done a great job.
01:32 And I'm looking forward to him being able to call plays too.
01:35 >> For sure.
01:37 Just when you transfer over to Kansas, obviously the first year was a little
01:41 rough, but these last two seasons, were these the kind of games and
01:44 these the kind of experience that you're expecting to have when you came over to
01:46 KU?
01:47 >> Yeah, definitely.
01:48 Just to be able to play in a bigger conference against better competition,
01:52 I think that was the main goal.
01:54 Just trying to make sure that I can prove to myself that I can play at this level.
01:57 And I think I've done that.
01:58 And I'm thankful for the opportunity that I've had here at KU.
02:01 And I'm thankful for the fans and my teammates and the coaches too.
02:05 >> And then of course, playing such a big role in both of these last two seasons.
02:10 Just what was it like to be the quarterback that was playing
02:16 when Kansas clinched both of those, both appearances last year and this year?
02:20 >> Yeah, it was pretty fun experience just to be a part of it and
02:25 have my teammates there with me.
02:27 And I think that those two games will be games that I'll remember for
02:32 the rest of my life.
02:32 Just how important they were to this team and my teammates around me.
