00:00 >> Gosh, yeah, I expected that to hurt.
00:02 >> All right, Jermaine Van Oswalt coming off the highest scoring game ever in
00:06 Raiders history.
00:08 How do you think the team's gonna follow it up on offense?
00:11 >> I think that momentum wise it was big for us,
00:13 especially coming off that 3-0 loss to the Vikings.
00:17 So going there to just put it all together finally was a really big confidence boost
00:22 for us, not for the teams that we figure out, figure out how to put it together.
00:25 I just remember the ones I get in January.
00:27 Obviously it's a huge test for us, we know if we lose that the player thing is
00:32 over with, so we're gonna go in there and just put it all out on the field and
00:36 players are today.
00:37 >> What are your thoughts on Chris Jones?
00:39 I know they move him around a little bit, and
00:41 where's he kind of rank amongst the best guys to go up against?
00:44 >> He's up there, he's definitely up there.
00:46 I know that I gotta have my stuff together when he comes out and
00:49 plays against me, and I love it.
00:50 I love when they move the D line to the left and it's just me versus him out there.
00:55 I know they're trying to see what's up, so I love when that happens,
00:58 cuz it's just I get to prove my worth and show everyone what I can do.
01:02 He's a hell of a player too, so it's definitely a war when we go against each
01:05 other, and it's a war when we go against a guy like that off that caliber.
01:09 But he's definitely up there, I mean,
01:10 I'm sure he's already got a whole family, and he's just added to that.
01:12 Crazy career that he's had.
01:14 >> And how do you guys stay locked in on Christmas?
01:17 Regular people with the office jobs are ready to go home, and
01:20 you guys gotta kinda go to war, so how do you do that?
01:23 >> You talking about Christmas?
01:24 >> Yeah. >> I think it's dope.
01:25 I think it's really dope.
01:26 It's kinda like playing on Thanksgiving.
01:27 I think that it's a hell of an opportunity for us to play on national TV like that,
01:33 be the only game once, and the whole country's gonna be watching it.
01:37 I saw that it's only 6 PM in England, so that's dope too,
01:39 that guys in England get to watch it as well.
01:42 But yeah, I think it's a really cool opportunity,
01:44 a really cool experience to get to play on that day, especially.
01:46 Just given the opportunity, it's cool.
01:49 >> Are there any things that you took away from last year's game that you think
01:54 will be able to help you guys this go around?
01:57 >> Yeah, we came out hot in the first quarter, and
01:59 the last three quarters kinda cracked the bed.
02:01 So just keeping that consistency and finishing where we start,
02:07 because I mean, it's from 100 to Italian Knights, but
02:09 it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
02:13 That's kinda, we can start as hard as we want, but
02:16 then we're gonna outscore 31 to 3.
02:18 And that kinda lays a bad taste in your mouth,
02:20 because remember coming to Newham around 14-0, I was like, damn,
02:23 we're gonna do this, and then looking at scoreboard, it's 31-17.
02:26 So the Chiefs are a hell of a team, and
02:29 Petro is a hell of a player, and Kelsey, they have a great O-line,
02:34 great D-line, great defense.
02:35 So I feel like we have a great O-line, great team also.
02:40 So there's nothing that should stop us from going in there and playing our heart.
02:44 So I hope the game will result in something good.
02:47 >> And man, what are some of the keys to logistically keeping and
02:49 sustaining those drives in terms of when you're moving down the field,
02:52 first half, second half?
02:53 What are some things that you guys can do to actually make that happen?
02:55 >> Yeah, I think that the O-line blocking as hard as we can,
03:00 knowing that we may have to block for a little bit longer if Aiden is waiting for
03:04 a certain guy to get open, or in the run game, just making sure we finish guys.
03:07 And I know they're probably gonna be tired, but you have to work even harder
03:10 when you're tired, cuz that's when people really get to see what type of player you
03:14 are, the first, second, third players, so the drives are easiest.
03:17 Or the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, those are the plays that are gonna truly show
03:21 what type of player you are, and show the rest of the league and
03:24 the rest of the country what type of player you are.
03:25 And I believe that we can do a better job with that, finishing the drives,
03:30 getting most of the way into the red zone, converting those, and
03:32 not just field goals, but going for touchdowns.
03:34 Cuz with this team, you can kick as many field goals as you want, but
03:37 you gotta know that Pax and Homes are gonna get multiple touchdowns.
03:40 It doesn't matter who he goes to, they got that nice rookie number four.
03:43 So it's always gonna be a shootout going against the Chiefs.
03:48 They have a hell of a team, a hell of a play, quarterback.
03:51 So we just gotta sustain drives, be consistent in the red zone, and
03:55 just convert as much as we can.
03:56 >> Thanks, Jimmy.
