He's been missing for six years but now British teenager Alex Batty has been found and wishes to return home. Last seen on holiday in Spain, the now seventeen year old was spotted in France and authorities say they are working to return the teen to his home in Oldham in Greater Manchester. Here's everything we know so far.

00:00 Back in 2017, Alex Batty of Oldham went missing while in Marbella, Spain, while with his mother
00:07 and grandfather. The two don't have legal guardianship of the boy and therefore remain
00:11 wanted in connection with his disappearance.
00:14 On Wednesday 13th December, a motorist spotted Alex walking through the rain near Toulouse
00:18 in France and after becoming concerned, took him to a police station. It was here he was
00:24 able to use the motorist's phone to contact his grandmother, texting her to say "I love
00:28 you, I want to come home." His grandmother and legal guardian, Susan Caruna, said "I'm
00:33 so happy. I've spoken to him and he as well. It is such a shock."
00:37 Greater Manchester Police confirmed their officers are in touch with French authorities.
00:42 A spokesperson for the force said "This is a complex and long-running investigation and
00:46 we need to make further inquiries as well as putting appropriate safeguarding measures
00:50 in place."
00:51 In a statement, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said "We are now supporting
00:55 a British national in France and are in contact with local authorities.
