00:06 directives of their president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, despite Amno suffering significant

00:11 losses in the polls since the 15th general election last November.

00:15 According to political analyst Azrul Hadi Abdullah Sani, even if Amno's losing streak

00:20 were to continue, calls for a revival of Muafakat Nasional, Amno's now-defunct pact with PAS,

00:26 would remain muted as long as Zahid was leading the party.

00:29 He said there is a desire to work with PAS, especially at the grassroots level, given

00:34 that there is still distrust of Anwar Ibrahim NDAP among supporters and party members, but

00:39 added that as long as Zahid remains president, Amno will remain with Anwar.

00:44 Last week, PAS Deputy President Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Wan said his party was open to working

00:49 with Amno again, though this must be through PN, which includes Bersatu.

00:54 University Science Malaysia's Ahmad Fauzi Abdul Hamid said there was a fair balance
