Tropical cyclone Jasper has intensified to a category two system as north Queenslanders brace for the storm to cross the coast tomorrow. Heavy rainfall is expected to cause life threatening flooding and residents in Port Douglas, Townsville and cairns are being encouraged to keep up to date with warnings and alerts.
