BSP expecting PH inflation to stay with 2%-4% range in 2024

00:00 The Banco Central ng Pilipinas, or BSP, is expecting inflation to stay within the 2-4%
00:05 range in 2024.
00:07 BSP Governor Eli Ramalona Jr. says this is the projection the central bank hopes will
00:12 happen as based on its estimates, the Consumer Price Index, or CPI, will likely stay within
00:18 the 2% level in the first months of next year.
00:21 However, the BSP expects inflation to eventually rise to 4% by the middle of 2024.
00:27 In the meantime, the Monetary Board is set to meet on December 14 to discuss the key
00:33 policy rates.
