00:00 How are you?
00:00 >> Sorry about that.
00:01 >> No worries.
00:01 >> Well, I know everything was going 100 miles a minute for you over these last four weeks.
00:12 Did you get a chance over the bi-week to be able to kind of unplug a little bit,
00:17 but also maybe take a look at things in a way that maybe you can retool things a little bit?
00:22 >> I did, I did.
00:24 We as a staff got together kind of before even right at the beginning of the week,
00:28 got together some things to be done.
00:30 We were to evaluate some positive and some negative and
00:33 really assess that going forward.
00:35 So we had some good time to spend there.
00:37 >> Is there time left in the season to, I'm not saying make massive changes, but
00:40 make, whether it's subtle changes or dramatic changes to what you guys do offensively?
00:46 >> Yeah, there's always time, but you have to be respectful for the players.
00:51 And then what we put on their plates, because what we do, we expect to execute it,
00:56 and we have to practice it, and that's carry over the game.
00:58 So wholesale changes, no, not this time.
01:02 >> What have you learned about yourself as a play caller maybe over this last month?
01:07 >> Well, every day is something I learn something new.
01:13 But that's been that way, I feel like, for my whole coaching career.
01:16 So I take the experience and I move on from it,
01:20 whether it's a positive or a negative one.
01:25 >> I guess what is the key to finding consistency?
01:28 It seems like you have good drives, good plays,
01:31 different times of the game going really well, and other times it's not.
01:34 So what is the key to just finding that balance of the game and just sustaining it?
01:38 >> Execution, relying on the things we do well.
01:42 Always there's, is there a better call sometimes, possibly.
01:45 Is there better execution out there?
01:47 Certainly, just those things combined into one, but
01:51 just staying level headed and calling a good game.
01:54 >> You look at the Vikings defense on film, Hunter, he kind of jumps off on the film.
01:58 How much does that impact, does he have on that Vikings defense, and
02:02 how can you kind of limit him?
02:03 >> Yeah, he's a great player.
02:05 Like I've told you guys before, there's one every week.
02:08 So I mean, them as a whole, as a football team, they're a very good football team.
02:12 >> When you were able to take that review and look at the film,
02:16 any takeaways from Aiden O'Connell over the last four games he's started?
02:21 >> He's progressing, very positive, what he did last game.
02:26 Obviously, if you don't win, that's your number one job, that's my job.
02:30 But he did a lot of positive things to grow from.
02:34 >> What are some things that you've noticed within the relationship on and
02:37 off the field that he has with Devontae Adams?
02:41 >> Yeah, I think they communicate well.
02:43 He does a good job of communicating with all his teammates.
02:45 He's been like that since he came here.
02:47 And he's very grateful for his opportunity.
02:50 And he's proud to make the best of it.
02:51 >> You talk about every team having at least one guy that's gonna wreck your day
02:57 sometimes if you're allowed to.
02:59 Is there a balance between making sure you account for those type of players and
03:03 not freaking out and just obsessing over them and
03:06 forgetting about just what you wanna do?
03:08 >> There's a balance, but it'd be irresponsible not to pay attention to
03:12 a great player as we do every week.
03:15 >> That's good.
03:20 >> Thanks so much.
03:20 >> Thank you.
03:21 >> Sorry about that again.
