00:14 telling the outlet that the illness has now spread to her bones.
00:18 Though Shannon's prognosis is worrisome, she explained the inspiring mindset
00:22 that's helping her stay positive and focused on what makes her happy, saying,
00:27 "I don't want to die. I'm not done with living. I'm not done with loving.
00:32 I'm not done with creating. I'm not done with hopefully changing things for the better.
00:36 I'm just not. I'm not done."
00:39 The 52-year-old went on to dispel the notion that people with advanced cancer such as hers
00:44 are unable to enjoy or even participate in life, sharing how she's determined to continue
00:49 staying active as long as she can, adding,
00:52 "People just assume that it means you can't walk, you can't eat, you can't work.
00:56 They put you out to pasture at a very early age. You're done. You're retired.
01:00 And we're not. We're vibrant and we have such a different outlook on life.
01:04 We are people who want to work and embrace life and keep moving forward."
01:09 The charmed alum was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and went into remission
01:14 two years later after multiple rounds of chemotherapy, but in 2020,
01:18 Shannon confirmed that the disease had returned and reached stage four.
01:22 Over the summer, the TV icon got candid on social media about facing new treatment and surgery,
01:28 including the removal of a brain tumor, which she told People was one of the scariest experiences of her life.
01:35 Shannon's newest challenge comes weeks after she teared up during an onstage reunion
01:39 with her Nano 210 co-stars at 90's Con in September.
01:43 Jason Priestley, Jenny Garth, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, and Brian Austin Green
01:49 joined the audience in a standing ovation for Shannon.
01:53 Attendees cheered for the actress, who joked after the panel that she's used to getting emotional these days.
01:59 "Okay, thank you so much. You guys know how much I love crying constantly, and I do, it seems.
02:07 So, thank you. What do I have coming up? Honestly, you know, the fight for my life that I deal with every day."
02:17 In addition to remaining dedicated to her continued treatment and raising awareness for cancer research,
02:22 Shannon is set to discuss her experience in the new podcast, "Let's Be Clear,"
02:26 which she has described as a live, interactive memoir.
02:29 In her People interview, Shannon explained how she's turning her understandable fears into motivation
02:34 to make the most of each new day she's given, saying,
02:38 "When you ask yourself, 'Why me? Why did I get cancer?' and then, 'Why did my cancer come back? Why am I stage four?'
02:45 that leads you to look for the bigger purpose in life."
02:48 "I think that's the biggest thing that I've learned from this experience, is that you can't be too optimistic about your life.
02:55 You can't be too optimistic about your life. You can't be too optimistic about your life.
03:00 You can't be too optimistic about your life. You can't be too optimistic about your life.
