00:08:45 This fall, and I can just talk for these guys,
00:08:47 this fall we've stood up another show.
00:08:49 So we're running Bustin with the boys, our main flag.
00:08:53 We go Bet the Bus that we film on Tuesdays,
00:08:55 and we go Slips and Picks that we film on Wednesdays.
00:08:58 These boys, we're a smaller crew.
00:08:59 These guys are working hours on hours and hours,
00:09:02 and we're hitting the fall tour and all that stuff.
00:09:05 We're hitting vlogs.
00:09:06 We're putting out more content this fall than we ever have.
00:09:08 So these guys, their bandwidth, their battery is low,
00:09:11 and they are grinding.
00:09:12 This is a huge opportunity.
00:09:13 Now, I will tell you, Will and I, we hooked the boys up.
00:09:16 We gave them some raises actually this fall.
00:09:18 We're giving some bonuses.
00:09:19 We're doing some other things in the world

00:10:02 that truly is like, oh, I like that.
00:10:04 Hey, where'd you get that?

00:10:14 Some guys like, man, I love that.
00:10:15 He starts talking about this YouTube channel that he has.
00:10:18 It's For the Boys type of mentality.
00:10:19 I'm like, hey, man, take the hat.
00:10:21 And it's those little things that's like, all right,
00:10:22 we're turning in the right direction with our merch.
00:10:24 We love the fact that people love to wear our merch.
00:10:25 Now listen, everybody loves a giveaway.
00:10:28 We're gonna hit a giveaway for you right now, okay?
00:10:30 This is tiers.
00:10:31 There is going to be five tiers in this situation,
00:10:34 and then an honorable mention type of thing.
00:10:36 Then there will be a God tier.
00:10:37 I'm gonna talk about the tiers first,
00:10:38 and then I'll hit you with the God tier.
00:10:40 So tier one of the top spender is going to be
00:10:44 going on a fall or spring tour stop with the boys.
00:10:47 We're gonna fly you out there, you're gonna get a hotel,
00:10:49 you're gonna hang out, live show, vlog.
00:10:52 All the stuff you guys see that we do,
00:10:54 you're gonna be able to be a part of, and that's awesome.
00:10:56 Tier two, you're gonna be able to sit on the bus,
00:10:58 or any show of your choosing.
00:10:59 If you started watching Slips and Picks,
00:11:01 you started watching Bet the Bus,
00:11:02 and you really loved those shows,
00:11:03 you love the gambling aspect of the world that we live in,
00:11:05 that you can pick between any of those that you wanna do,
00:11:08 and come and sit on the bus, or any of those shows.
00:11:11 Tier three is gonna be a signed jersey from not just Will,
00:11:14 not just me, but from both Will and I.
00:11:17 Tier four is going to be up to six tickets
00:11:21 of the game of your choosing using the Game Time app.
00:11:24 Game Time's been a sponsor for us.
00:11:25 We talked about relationships, they've been great to us.
00:11:28 We're gonna use the Game Time app.
00:11:29 We're gonna give you six tickets
00:11:31 of your choosing to a game,
00:11:32 and I'm gonna let you know right now,
00:11:33 it's not gonna be the Super Bowl.
00:11:35 Don't ask for the Super Bowl, those tickets are crazy.
00:11:37 Am I right, boys?
00:11:38 Insane.
00:11:39 So regular tickets, you guys will enjoy that,
00:11:41 that'll be awesome.
00:11:42 Then, sorry, this is the last tier.
00:11:45 This is tier five, I meant to say,
00:11:46 I said it in the honorable mention, but tier five.
00:11:48 After these tiers are filled up, and everyone's slotted,
00:11:51 I know people, as I've seen from the last Black Fridays,
00:11:54 people have really fought for getting to that next step,
00:11:57 and kinda getting edged out by a dollar here,
00:11:59 three dollars there, sometimes it's a close margin.
00:12:02 So after those tiers are eaten up,
00:12:05 the next 20 top spenders are going to get a personal video
00:12:09 from either Will or I.
00:12:11 I know we've done this in the past,
00:12:12 there was like 500, and we're gonna do top 20
00:12:15 from either Will or I, so 10 for me and 10 for Will,
00:12:18 and we're gonna pump those out as quick as possible.
00:12:20 Now, the God tier.
00:12:23 Now this comes with a price,
00:12:26 and there is some back and forth
00:12:28 of whether or not we should do it.
00:12:29 The reason why it comes with a price
00:12:30 is because it's at my house,
00:12:32 and it's very personal,
00:12:34 and there's a lot of close friends there,
00:12:35 so it's like bringing a stranger
00:12:37 into your house for the first time,
00:12:39 for me, feels a little something,
00:12:41 but I do think this would be truly an epic experience.
00:12:45 Now the God tier is going to be you and a partner
00:12:50 will be flown out to Nashville, Tennessee,
00:12:53 and you will partake, you will compete
00:12:56 in the third annual Beer Olympics
00:13:00 against individuals like Bert Kreischer.
00:13:02 Individuals like Shane Gillis,
00:13:03 guys like Midland, Hardy, possibly Jake Paul.
00:13:08 Possibly Jake Paul, the Paul brothers will be there.
00:13:12 I'm hearing, Bert Kreischer called me.
00:13:14 We've talked about it.
00:13:15 You guys have seen the clip on Twitter
00:13:16 where they wanna be a part of Beer Olympics next year.
00:13:18 These types of guys, and I don't know the Paul brothers,
00:13:20 but the guys that are coming to this house
00:13:23 are close friends of mine.
00:13:24 All right, we've, through this podcast,
00:13:26 have established a relationship,
00:13:27 and it's awesome 'cause it's truly like
00:13:31 the biggest bro experience of all time
00:13:34 that you walk away from sore, hurt, bruises,
00:13:38 hungover, just tough.
00:13:41 It's like, why would you ever put yourself through it?
00:13:42 It's the vibe you get to relive those college days
00:13:45 with all these great dudes.
00:13:47 It's a phenomenal time.
00:13:48 The price on that, hold your breath for a second,
00:13:52 is $20,000.
00:13:54 If someone spends, which is an ungodly amount of money,
00:13:57 if somebody spends $20,000,
00:14:01 you and a partner will come and spend time with the boys,
00:14:05 that star-studded crew, at Beer Olympics 2024.
00:14:09 It's gonna be an awesome time.
00:14:10 Now, the way you get entered into this,
00:14:13 and I gotta be very clear here,
00:14:14 you are going to take a screenshot of your purchase
00:14:16 once you do it during the Black Friday weekend.
00:14:18 You're gonna use #BustinBlackFriday.
00:14:22 #BustinBlackFriday with a screenshot of your purchase,
00:14:25 and you're gonna post it to Twitter.
00:14:26 The boys, I'm sure it'll be Garrett,
00:14:28 will siphon through those things.
00:14:29 He will find all of those purchases
00:14:32 and put them where they should be on the tiers.
00:14:34 Now, let's say you're the tier one guy,
00:14:37 but you don't really feel like
00:14:38 going on a spring tops tour.
00:14:39 You really wanna come on the bus,
00:14:40 or you really want the jerseys,
00:14:41 or you really want the tickets.
00:14:42 Then, it's first come, first serve.
00:14:45 Well, not first come.
00:14:45 It's top guy gets to choose first.
00:14:47 So, if tier one guy wants the tier three prize,
00:14:50 well, then tier two guy gets to pick
00:14:51 between the top one and then two, four, and five.
00:14:54 You understand what I'm trying to say?
00:14:55 Am I making clear sense there?
00:14:57 Whoever spends the most gets to choose.
00:14:59 Whoever spends the second most gets to choose after that.
00:15:02 So on and so forth until those tiers are eaten up.
00:15:05 Do I expect this guy tier to get fulfilled?
00:15:07 I don't know.
00:15:08 I would say it's 50/50.
00:15:09 I know we have a couple of fans out there
00:15:10 that truly are like that, not only financially,
00:15:14 but about the brand that way as well,
00:15:15 which we love you for.
00:15:16 And if they wanna go ahead and invest
00:15:17 in that type of thing for the experience,
00:15:19 I would love it.
00:15:20 I think we'd have a phenomenal time with you.
00:15:21 It is going to be, it is truly incredible.
00:15:25 It's truly incredible.
00:15:26 But that's the Black Friday.
00:15:28 Is there anything, boys, in the back that I'm missing?
00:15:30 - No, I think you're good.
00:15:32 I think you hit it all.
00:15:33 - Right?
00:15:34 - There'll be more stuff that comes out through the week.
00:15:35 Just be following on all socials
00:15:37 'cause there'll be probably crucial detail stuff
00:15:39 that might get swapped here and there.
00:15:41 But for the most part, this is, yes,
00:15:44 the concrete giveaway.
00:15:46 - The concrete giveaway.
00:15:47 And we're not about adding one or two more tiers.
00:15:50 - Why not?
00:15:51 - We're kinda like that.
00:15:51 - Why not?
00:15:52 - We're kinda like that.
00:15:53 But these five tiers--
00:15:54 - 50,000, who knows?
00:15:55 You could live with Taylor for six months.
00:15:58 - You spend 50,000, you get to have Jack for one night.
00:16:02 - Okay.
00:16:03 - That's what happens.
00:16:03 Jack, do you agree?
00:16:04 - It depends.
00:16:07 - Because you want the money.
00:16:08 Here it comes.
00:16:09 - I don't think all that money's going to me.
00:16:11 And what if, you know,
00:16:14 this is a weird line to tote.
00:16:18 - Right, it's called prostitution.
00:16:19 It's a weird line to tote.
00:16:20 We probably don't want to do that on this show.
00:16:22 - You know, if a guy spends, you know, 60K,
00:16:25 you know what I mean?
00:16:28 - He could have you?
00:16:29 - No, like I'm saying like,
00:16:30 then I have to follow through with that.
00:16:33 And, you know, I'm not against, you know.
00:16:37 - Look at him, look at him just digging a hole right now.
00:16:41 - But I swing for one team,
00:16:43 so I don't know if that's gonna work.
00:16:45 - Right, right, gotta try everything twice, though.
00:16:47 - Just follow us on socials
00:16:48 and you'll see if we add anything else.
00:16:50 - Follow us on socials.
00:16:51 - And find out if you can have Jack for a night
00:16:53 spending $60,000.
00:16:54 - Yes.
00:16:55 - That's what we're doing on Bustin' with the Boys.
00:16:56 I want, is the camera on you guys?
00:16:59 I want to picture you looking at
00:17:01 a black and white video right now.
00:17:03 That somber music you hear back in the commercials
00:17:06 in like the 2090s for 25 cents a day.
00:17:09 You can save this individual.
00:17:11 When you spend on Black Friday and you hit the number,
00:17:14 you are not only getting great merch,
00:17:17 a great opportunity for yourself,
00:17:18 but you're able to help these fine gentlemen back there
00:17:20 pay their bills, electric, utility, auto, insurance,
00:17:25 home, car, everything.
00:17:27 That's what you do when you press the purchase button
00:17:29 at store.barstoolsports.com/bustinwiththeboys.
00:17:33 That's what happens.
00:17:34 These men take a step up to their inevitable goals
00:17:38 financially, spiritually, personally.
00:17:41 You're helping these guys.
00:17:42 I wish all of them were sitting back there,
00:17:44 sad faces, sitting there.
00:17:45 Oh, peace, I may have some multi-vibes,
00:17:48 but they, right there, look at 'em.
00:17:50 They're sad boys and you can help them
00:17:52 by just spending a little bit at the store.barstoolsports.com.
00:17:57 That's all you gotta do.
00:17:59 Maybe you should clip that through
00:18:00 and turn it to black and white and put the music on.
00:18:02 - Like the Sarah Laughlin one?
00:18:05 - Yeah, yeah.
00:18:07 Now let's talk about the weekend
00:18:08 because that is where the boys,
00:18:10 we shipped off to Las Vegas, Nevada,
00:18:12 second home for Jack and I.
00:18:13 Jack and I was able to experience,
00:18:15 show off our house, Red Rocks Casino and hotel
00:18:17 to the boys in the back.
00:18:19 Everybody had a great time.
00:18:20 It was amazing.
00:18:21 We got there Thursday.
00:18:22 Will joined us on Friday.
00:18:24 So we get there on Thursday.
00:18:25 What's the first thing we did, Jack?
00:18:27 - Tables.
00:18:28 - Tables, baby, 'cause there's nothing better
00:18:29 than sitting with the boys,
00:18:30 whether you're betting $5 or $5 million
00:18:33 and trying to piece together a better hand
00:18:35 than the blackjack dealer sitting right in front of you.
00:18:37 It's disrespectful how good at math they are.
00:18:39 It's disrespectful that I have to watch them
00:18:41 put five cards down and all of a sudden,
00:18:43 they just look at me as if I'm supposed to know the answer
00:18:45 in the basic math category.
00:18:46 And for that, you have to beat them.
00:18:48 Thursday, how'd it go for us, Jack?
00:18:50 - It went well.
00:18:51 - It went well for you.
00:18:52 - It went well for me.
00:18:52 - It went well for you.
00:18:53 - Right.
00:18:54 - Did not so go hot for me at first, right?
00:18:56 Your boy was down about 5K early, early off,
00:18:59 and I was taking punches, taking body shots,
00:19:00 Rocky Balboa, right?
00:19:01 I'm in Russia.
00:19:03 The blonde hair, handsome boy with all the technology
00:19:06 is really putting work on me.
00:19:08 Now, saving grace, here he is, the king, Dana White.
00:19:12 Now, I'm gonna backtrack a little bit.
00:19:15 When I met Dana White in February,
00:19:16 it was awesome just to meet the man
00:19:18 'cause I respect him from a business standpoint
00:19:19 and the way he handles his business.
00:19:21 He came on the bus, well, at the Super Bowl,
00:19:25 and gave us 30 minutes.
00:19:26 Essentially, it was like, he's only got 30 minutes,
00:19:28 he's got to get back to Vegas, blah, blah, blah.
00:19:30 We sit there, we have a great time.
00:19:32 He enjoyed us.
00:19:33 For whatever reason, he saw something in Will and I
00:19:35 that he thought, I wanna be around this a little bit more.
00:19:37 Invites us out to Power Slap March 11th.
00:19:39 Jack, we all go out there to Power Slap.
00:19:42 It was a great time.
00:19:43 That Power Slap is the number one most viewed sport
00:19:48 by 5X, 10X of all sports combined
00:19:52 on the TikTok space on Instagram.
00:19:54 That's how big of a deal Power Slap has become in this year.
00:19:57 And it's not even been a full year of Power Slap yet.
00:20:00 We go see it, it's a great time.
00:20:02 I end up gambling with Dana.
00:20:03 I've told that story before.
00:20:04 I win, I win, I win, I win, I win, I win.
00:20:08 I continue to win.
00:20:09 We're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:20:13 Over trusting an individual over an untrustworthy game.
00:20:17 And so I go back in August
00:20:19 and I lose hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:20:23 There was a vlog that was gonna come out.
00:20:24 I still thought it was gonna come out.
00:20:26 And then Jack was like, I don't know
00:20:27 if we can put that out, man.
00:20:28 It was so sad.
00:20:30 My heart hurt, my body hurt.
00:20:32 It was one of the most painful experiences
00:20:36 I've ever had doing something.
00:20:39 Breaking bones, tearing ACLs.
00:20:42 That shit probably hurt the most.
00:20:43 Because you essentially asked for it.
00:20:45 People tell you you're going to lose eventually,
00:20:47 and you did.
00:20:48 Now why do I bring that up?
00:20:49 Because that night, Dana, I went back two weeks ago
00:20:53 and we won a whole bunch of money.
00:20:54 And Dana was like pressing me to do it.
00:20:57 He said, hey, come on, let's get back on the horse.
00:20:58 You gotta try it, blah, blah, blah.
00:20:59 And I myself, having a family, kids and all that,
00:21:03 like thinking financially, I can't go through that again
00:21:05 because I don't wanna put myself, my family in a position
00:21:07 that's like being stupid and end up being
00:21:09 a 30 for 30 broke guy.
00:21:11 He loosely presses me in a confident way.
00:21:15 I'm like, just get back on the horse.
00:21:16 We don't have to bet that much money, blah, blah, blah.
00:21:18 We end up winning a whole bunch.
00:21:19 He comes Thursday after I'm down.
00:21:21 Jack is soaring to the moon.
00:21:24 I believe you were up $5,000 at that point.
00:21:26 - Yeah.
00:21:27 - Damn near close, right?
00:21:29 So Dana goes, hey, how much do you wanna win?
00:21:31 Now usually when I win or I play with Dana,
00:21:33 it's like if I can win $60,000, that's great.
00:21:35 'Cause you do a $30,000 bet, you win that twice,
00:21:38 you get out.
00:21:39 And you've been in the wars, you go back and forth
00:21:40 a little bit and literally nine times out of 10,
00:21:43 I've won that war.
00:21:45 Dana is like, all right, 30, yeah,
00:21:47 not as much as you usually do.
00:21:48 I respect that.
00:21:48 Let's get after it.
00:21:49 Before I can place a bet, he's like, give me 30.
00:21:53 He starts going to war.
00:21:54 He's down like 250, 300, but it's quick
00:21:56 'cause there's so much money flowing back and forth.
00:21:58 He ends up getting up and winning the 30.
00:22:00 He wins the 30, pays off his marker,
00:22:02 hands me $30,000 in chips.
00:22:04 That's the kind of guy we're talking about right now.
00:22:07 Hands me $30,000 in chips and it's like,
00:22:09 yeah, but Taylor, he's a billionaire.
00:22:11 He has so much money, he has this and the other.
00:22:13 He doesn't have to do that stuff for people.
00:22:15 There's a bunch of billionaires out there
00:22:16 that have an attitude of me first.
00:22:19 And what you'll see in this podcast
00:22:20 is that Dana is relationships over money.
00:22:24 And that is, it's easy for a guy
00:22:28 who's struggling with their bills to say that.
00:22:30 'Cause we all like to inevitably say
00:22:32 we will choose relationships over money.
00:22:34 An individual that has three commas in the bank account,
00:22:36 and I'm just saying that to put things into perspective,
00:22:38 has to make so many sacrifices to essentially
00:22:41 make the 1% of the 1% of the 1% of humanity.
00:22:43 For him still to sit there and choose relationships
00:22:45 over people to me is, he's an anomaly of a human being.
00:22:50 He's one of the best human beings.
00:22:52 So what's Dana's rule, Jackie, after you play and you win?
00:22:55 - Get out.
00:22:56 - Get out immediately.
00:22:57 So we're sitting there, we're hanging out.
00:22:59 And at this point, it's not just Dana's relationship.
00:23:03 He's dapping Jack up, he's dapping Will up,
00:23:05 he's dapping all the boys up
00:23:06 as if we're all close friends, right?
00:23:08 We're hanging, we're talking, having a good time.
00:23:10 He sits there and he says, "Fuck it, give me 30."
00:23:13 Now, this man goes down seven figures.
00:23:17 He is down seven figures at the table
00:23:21 'cause he broke his rule.
00:23:22 And right as he was getting in, I told him,
00:23:23 I said, "Hey, you're breaking your rule."
00:23:25 And he fights it out.
00:23:26 So he ends up going down that much money,
00:23:28 comes back and winning 60.
00:23:29 And he's like, kind of wipes the brow like, "Whew, shit.
00:23:32 "That was a bit of a deal."
00:23:34 He leaves, it's like four or five in the morning.
00:23:37 I stayed up with him 'cause it's like,
00:23:38 "Yo, I know he came out here to gamble with me
00:23:40 "and you all wanna be there for support.
00:23:42 "Even if I am tired, I'm exhausted.
00:23:43 "The boys are running on fumes."
00:23:45 It is what it is.
00:23:46 So I stay up all night with him.
00:23:47 He leaves and next day, the boys, we go to UFC.
00:23:52 UFC headquarters, we do a podcast with him.
00:23:54 And then after that, all the boys, we go to F1.
00:23:58 F1 is an absolute spectacle.
00:24:00 Those vehicles are incredible.
00:24:02 And we got an opportunity to partner up
00:24:04 with a company called Duracell.
00:24:05 You might know them from your batteries.
00:24:07 They sponsor a team there.
00:24:10 We went and saw the experience down at the strip.
00:24:12 We were doing the taps, the lights tapping up.
00:24:14 And you have 30 seconds.
00:24:15 The faster you do it, the higher your score.
00:24:18 I don't know who won, but I know that if you're good at that,
00:24:22 you're probably great at life.
00:24:22 If you have the reaction time to do that,
00:24:24 you're probably an awesome dude.
00:24:27 But I'm not sure who won.
00:24:28 Jack, do you remember who won?
00:24:29 - I don't. - You don't?
00:24:31 - I know I was up on that board.
00:24:32 - You were top three for sure.
00:24:33 - Yeah, I can't remember who won though.
00:24:36 I only got to go once, but I was under the--
00:24:38 - Drunk.
00:24:39 You were drunk.
00:24:40 - You wanna talk about that?
00:24:43 - We can talk about that.
00:24:43 But I wanna talk about the F1 experience first.
00:24:46 I wanna talk about the F1 experience first.
00:24:48 We go and do the F1 experience.
00:24:51 It was awesome.
00:24:52 We simulated, and the cars was a lot harder to drive
00:24:54 than you think they are.
00:24:55 And it was a lot of fun.
00:24:56 So we got to do that.
00:24:57 And then the next day we went to a drone show for Duracell.
00:25:01 And that was cool too, man.
00:25:02 Drones are essentially the new fireworks without the bang.
00:25:05 They came up, they spelt out Duracell about 15 times.
00:25:08 They turn into a boat, they turn into a car.
00:25:10 And it's the transition, the seamlessness of drones.
00:25:13 It's a really cool experience.
00:25:15 They had a very, we'll say very exclusive party there.
00:25:19 We will say it was smaller numbers, big personalities.
00:25:23 We'll say it was a time.
00:25:27 But we had a blast.
00:25:28 But yes, let's get into, we are in the weekend recap.
00:25:30 Here's, I'll paint it.
00:25:32 Do you mind if I paint it?
00:25:33 Or do you wanna talk about it first?
00:25:34 - You can paint it.
00:25:35 - Okay.
00:25:36 We're at breakfast the next morning
00:25:37 after Dana goes down those seven figures,
00:25:39 he comes back and wins.
00:25:40 And we're hanging out, having a good time.
00:25:43 There's a fan there, I believe it was Jim.
00:25:47 God, I hope it's Jim.
00:25:48 It starts with a J.
00:25:50 And his wife named Hannah.
00:25:51 I think they live in Nashville.
00:25:53 And is either a police officer
00:25:56 or he's boy's the police officer
00:25:57 'cause he tells me about the police officer
00:25:58 is coming to my house all the time
00:25:59 after my alarm goes off and they're there in five minutes.
00:26:02 Like literally, the police are so quick to my house
00:26:05 when there's an alarm going off.
00:26:06 And it's happened like seven times since I moved in.
00:26:08 But they hang out for like 20 minutes.
00:26:09 So apparently his boy was talking about it.
00:26:10 They buy us six shots of Crown Royal.
00:26:14 Now, I'm not gonna take a shot at 10 a.m. in the morning
00:26:19 when I've got work to do.
00:26:21 So, but I know that these shots have to be taken.
00:26:24 The boys are out, everyone's like, I'm not taking it.
00:26:26 Like, I'm not taking it.
00:26:27 Jack's sitting next to me, I'm not taking it.
00:26:29 JP's sitting next to Jack, I'm not taking it.
00:26:31 Stephen, I'm not.
00:26:32 Mitch, or Garrett, I'm not.
00:26:33 Mitch goes, I'll take one.
00:26:35 And it's like, okay, brother, you're gonna take one?
00:26:38 So I say, I think to myself,
00:26:39 what an opportunity to test one of my guys
00:26:42 when they know we have a full slate today.
00:26:44 Hey, Mitch, I'll give you $1,000 if you take those shots.
00:26:49 How long did you think about it for?
00:26:50 You went, took a Tuesday?
00:26:52 - I thought about it for,
00:26:55 I was so stuffed from the great breakfast we had.
00:26:58 And then I was like, I need to go for a walk
00:27:01 and think about this, took a Tuesday, came back,
00:27:03 I'm like, $1,000 is $1,000.
00:27:08 I've taken six shots in a night before, why not?
00:27:12 - So you took the shots?
00:27:13 - I took the shots, but I feel like you're painting it
00:27:15 in the sense of, let's just test my guys.
00:27:21 - Can I ask you this?
00:27:22 Besides that comment,
00:27:23 have I not said everything exactly correct so far?
00:27:25 - Yes. - Okay.
00:27:27 - So I mean, that's a big comment though.
00:27:29 - It's a big comment.
00:27:31 - Twist the story a little bit.
00:27:33 - So I give him the $1,000,
00:27:35 we walk up to the room, I had a $1,000 chip,
00:27:37 boom, give the coin flip,
00:27:38 bink, he flips in the air, he catches it, he leaves.
00:27:41 I set a timer on my phone,
00:27:42 I go grab myself a little bit of pump, hit the glutes today,
00:27:45 and grab a little pump, set a timer for one hour.
00:27:48 Around the hour it hits, I go,
00:27:50 Mitch, how we doing, brother?
00:27:51 He's not so great.
00:27:53 We end up actually meeting up in Mitch's room,
00:27:54 Will's not even there yet.
00:27:56 And we get there and I go,
00:27:59 Mitch, we need to talk about it.
00:28:02 You're getting drunk on the job
00:28:04 when we have a whole lot of work to do today.
00:28:06 How do you feel?
00:28:07 Now, I will say, it was a joke.
00:28:11 I was kidding.
00:28:13 That's what you wanted to hear.
00:28:14 'Cause I thought about going through the whole process again
00:28:16 but there's a vlog that's gonna come out
00:28:17 where you guys will literally be able to see all of it.
00:28:19 But essentially, Will and I,
00:28:21 or I started it, I put Mitch in an absolute blender about,
00:28:25 essentially the horrible bosses thing
00:28:27 where the guy pours him the scotch at 11 a.m.
00:28:29 and makes him drink it.
00:28:29 That's basically what I did to him.
00:28:31 We go, we knock it out.
00:28:33 Mitch is in a blender.
00:28:34 So now he's drunk and he's got anxiety.
00:28:37 A tough combination.
00:28:38 - Through the roof.
00:28:39 - Through the roof.
00:28:41 I text Will.
00:28:42 I said, hey, we got Mitch to do six shots for $1,000.
00:28:46 When you get here, when you see him,
00:28:47 give him shit about being drunk on the job.
00:28:51 So I go, we go downstairs.
00:28:53 You guys got down there before me for whatever reason,
00:28:54 but I walk over there and he's just tearing into you.
00:28:58 - Eviscerating.
00:28:59 - Eviscerating you.
00:29:00 Where I'm watching my boy question life for a second.
00:29:04 He's having a tough time.
00:29:06 - That bus ride over to, was it the fan zone?
00:29:09 - Oh my God.
00:29:10 - You were--
00:29:11 - No, it was through the interview.
00:29:13 - It was the interview.
00:29:14 - Through the interview.
00:29:14 It was the interview with Dana.
00:29:15 - Oh, it was.
00:29:16 I felt awkward.
00:29:17 I was like, is this a joke at this point
00:29:19 or is this real now?
00:29:20 - Can I be honest with you?
00:29:21 I felt the same way the way Will was going at him.
00:29:24 'Cause he did start raising his voice
00:29:26 and kind of coming at you.
00:29:27 But I have the text of it's like,
00:29:30 LOL, I was planning on doing that.
00:29:31 Ha ha, I'm gonna get him good.
00:29:33 Now, shout out Will for being a method actor,
00:29:35 really jumping into the role.
00:29:36 - He got me good.
00:29:37 - Of being a horrible boss.
00:29:38 - I was stressing out to the point where I asked
00:29:42 each Jack, JP, and Garrett, I'm like, yo, am I all right?
00:29:45 - I know, they told us to go to the bathroom
00:29:47 before the date upon, they're like,
00:29:48 yo, Mitch has literally asked us if he's good.
00:29:50 - And they're like, yeah, bro, you're fine.
00:29:52 Don't worry about it.
00:29:53 I'm like, bro, he's coming.
00:29:55 I know Taylor's joking, but Will is like,
00:29:58 seems kind of pissed.
00:29:59 - Which I'm glad Will did that,
00:30:01 because I did come at, I instigated the thing.
00:30:03 And then to come at you after that,
00:30:04 it's like, obviously, there's some joke there,
00:30:07 but I'm sure there's a piece of you that's like,
00:30:09 is he serious though?
00:30:10 Like, is he really trying to put me in a spin zone?
00:30:11 Will coming in that hard, not even being a part of it,
00:30:14 sealed the, we'll call it a prank, sealed the prank for us.
00:30:17 Which I really enjoyed.
00:30:18 So Mitch is in a blender, and then that evening we go,
00:30:21 or not evening, that afternoon,
00:30:23 we go to UFC headquarters and do the podcast with Dana.
00:30:27 Now Dana has zero sleep.
00:30:30 6 a.m., 5 a.m., whenever he left the night before,
00:30:32 he's rip roaring around.
00:30:33 We get there, he's signing Howlerhead Whiskey.
00:30:35 He's chatting everybody up.
00:30:38 He's on the phone.
00:30:39 People are grabbing him left and right.
00:30:40 And it's like, we're supposed to start at 2.30,
00:30:42 2.35 hits, 2.40 hits, and you get it, man.
00:30:44 The guy's grinding through it.
00:30:45 He's got no sleep.
00:30:46 Ends up sitting down, and I go,
00:30:48 hey, how much time do you have?
00:30:49 And he goes, just rip it, man.
00:30:50 I go, as long as you guys need.
00:30:51 Once again, talking to the character of Dana White.
00:30:54 We end up having, the interview you're about to listen to,
00:30:58 we end up having an incredible conversation with this man.
00:31:01 His mindset, the way he approaches it,
00:31:03 the Theo Vaughn podcast where Peloton,
00:31:06 he starts, go rip it into Peloton.
00:31:08 He touches on the Bud Light stuff that we've all seen.
00:31:13 They had the Dylan Mulvaney thing, right?
00:31:15 Proud Boys are up in arms about it.
00:31:16 And he's like, this is a great partnership for us.
00:31:18 And he starts to go into why
00:31:20 it's an incredible partnership for us.
00:31:22 So I think you guys are truly gonna enjoy that interview.
00:31:25 That's here, as you're sitting here
00:31:27 anticipating this podcast,
00:31:28 you're gonna hear it in about 20, 30 minutes.
00:31:30 A great partner for us is Duke Cannon.
00:31:33 Dude, Duke Cannon's been around for a while.
00:31:34 They're coming out with a little
00:31:36 holiday collection as well, dude.
00:31:37 Products that men actually like.
00:31:39 Give the boys something they deserve,
00:31:41 like a big ass lump of coal soap from Duke Cannon.
00:31:44 Duke Cannon holiday gifts are made in the USA
00:31:47 by humans, not elves, in the USA, American made.
00:31:50 Let's support our boys out here.
00:31:52 These gifts aren't going to break the bank
00:31:54 and are gonna make the perfect gift for your boys,
00:31:55 your father-in-law, or that cousin you barely like, dude,
00:31:59 for the holiday season.
00:32:01 They got the big ass lump of coal soap,
00:32:03 the illegally cut pine soap,
00:32:06 mall Santa's cough syrup soap,
00:32:08 Rudolph's much deserved nightcap soap,
00:32:10 oops, all the brandy homemade eggnog soap.
00:32:16 Yeah, so good stuff.
00:32:17 They got good stuff there and it smells amazing.
00:32:19 The big ass brick of soap is like three times bigger
00:32:21 than your regular soap and you put it in a little pouch.
00:32:24 It's incredible.
00:32:25 Oh, literally in this ad read it says,
00:32:30 talk about some of the big ass bricks of soap names
00:32:32 and scents and then in parentheses, not all of them.
00:32:35 Well, guess what?
00:32:36 I go above and beyond for all that.
00:32:37 - The good thing is 'cause there's other scents they have.
00:32:39 - Right, there's other scents they have.
00:32:41 That's right, dude, perfect.
00:32:43 Listen, if you are a Christmas guy,
00:32:46 like we pretty much all are,
00:32:48 getting the regular present is a difficult task,
00:32:51 but getting the stocking stuffers is a pain in the ass, bro,
00:32:54 'cause you just gotta, what do you do?
00:32:55 You just go to Target, grab a couple of soaps,
00:32:57 grab a couple of mouthwashers and throw it in there
00:32:58 and say, hey, have a good time,
00:32:59 have some Q-tips on the boys.
00:33:00 That's not a fun deal, but this right here,
00:33:03 perfect stocking stuffer type of mentality
00:33:05 and you're doing your boy a favor if he stinks.
00:33:07 He's got that BO, you're doing him a big favor.
00:33:09 Find their holiday soaps and gift sets at Target, Walmart,
00:33:12 or dukecanon.com.
00:33:15 So we do the interview with Dana.
00:33:18 It was great, it was fun.
00:33:19 Just like I said, man, I cannot tell you
00:33:22 how much I love that, man.
00:33:23 It's honestly weird how much I'm gonna talk about
00:33:25 in this podcast, but it needs to be said.
00:33:27 After that, what do we do after that?
00:33:29 - We went to the fan zone.
00:33:30 - We go to the fan zone, that's the thing.
00:33:32 Right, the lights, we did all that.
00:33:35 And that night, we get back, we grab a little dinner,
00:33:39 boys grab a little sushi, talk about playing a little bit.
00:33:41 We played, I think I, did I win?
00:33:45 - Yeah.
00:33:46 - Yeah, I won a little bit, but not much.
00:33:48 It was a smaller hands type of night.
00:33:50 Smaller hands type of night, but I had that little 30 piece
00:33:52 that Dana tossed me the night before.
00:33:55 And Jack is truly putting on a clinic
00:33:59 of how to win money and how to bet,
00:34:01 when to stay, when to hit.
00:34:03 He was, he was himothy.
00:34:06 Will was in there, Will's not a big cards guy,
00:34:08 but he was enjoying himself.
00:34:09 Got a little too aggressive at the wrong time,
00:34:12 and it went downhill.
00:34:13 I think he was down five at one point.
00:34:15 Now we got the boy right, don't get it twisted.
00:34:17 We got the boy right towards the end of the night.
00:34:19 And so we're hanging, doing our thing.
00:34:21 The Nelk boys show up, Steve will do it,
00:34:24 who, you know, after you hear the story,
00:34:27 Steve and I have become great friends at this point.
00:34:29 I really enjoy him.
00:34:30 I think Drewski was there.
00:34:32 - Yeah, Drewski.
00:34:33 - Yeah, Drewski popped up around 11 p.m.
00:34:37 Guy's just funny, man.
00:34:38 It's just dudes you really don't know.
00:34:39 I think Bradley Martin was there.
00:34:40 Who, what's the girl's name that does the podcast with him?
00:34:42 What is her name?
00:34:43 - Sarah.
00:34:44 - Okay, we don't like Sarah?
00:34:45 - No, no.
00:34:46 - Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, the way you said Sarah,
00:34:47 I didn't know.
00:34:48 - Just Sarah.
00:34:49 I think, I don't know her last name.
00:34:50 They're just, they're like gym influencers.
00:34:52 - Yeah, gym, yeah, I know Brad is,
00:34:53 and yeah, he loves the chat.
00:34:55 He was doing the stream the night after the night
00:34:57 I'm talking about right now, and he loves the chat.
00:34:58 They do a good job of essentially being what they are,
00:35:01 fitness influencer, and they have got a massive brand
00:35:04 because of it, so you're around all these people
00:35:05 that are inevitably in the same game that we all are.
00:35:08 It's a good networking experience,
00:35:09 even if it's not the same kind of brand that we're doing.
00:35:11 It's great to be around them
00:35:12 and learn about the personalities.
00:35:14 Dana walks in, we're having a good time.
00:35:16 I'm wondering, am I gonna go, or is he gonna go?
00:35:18 He starts, and brother, it was hell.
00:35:23 It was hell.
00:35:24 Now, when we were at, when we went to UFC headquarters,
00:35:26 Dana kind of took me to the side and he's like,
00:35:28 "Hey man, you didn't have to stay all last night,
00:35:30 "but I appreciate you doing that.
00:35:31 "Like, that's cool, that's a cool bro move of you,
00:35:33 "and so thank you, thank you, just saying thank you."
00:35:36 Dana goes down twice as much as he was the night before,
00:35:40 and it is an all-out war.
00:35:41 It is, slowly but surely, the boys in the back,
00:35:44 they start trickling off.
00:35:46 Drewski, out of here.
00:35:48 Everyone kind of starts to leave,
00:35:49 and it's really just me, Dana, Hunter,
00:35:52 who, if you guys don't know who Hunter is,
00:35:54 his story, we talk about his story a little bit
00:35:55 on the podcast with Dana.
00:35:57 I fucking love that man.
00:35:59 His boy Skip, his other boy Marty,
00:36:02 and we're kind of just watching our boy go to war,
00:36:04 and we're up till 11 a.m. the next day.
00:36:09 We're up till 11 a.m., so I didn't get sleep
00:36:11 the night before, 11 a.m. the next day,
00:36:14 and he's down two.
00:36:18 I'll just say the number two,
00:36:19 and you can probably piece it together from there.
00:36:21 He comes back from two down $10,000.
00:36:26 He's literally one hand away from being up $20,000,
00:36:32 and this is right around 7 a.m.
00:36:33 He loses that one, he loses another one,
00:36:36 and it just spirals to where it's 10.30 in the morning,
00:36:39 11 in the morning, and he's down $500,000.
00:36:43 And he's like, looks at the deal,
00:36:44 he goes, "I have to go to a meeting.
00:36:46 "I have to go to UFC now.
00:36:48 "Go ahead and put a hold on this.
00:36:50 "I'll be back later to win it back."
00:36:52 So he postpones the war to essentially go to his other wars
00:36:56 that he has to go take care of.
00:36:57 We grab breakfast with the boys.
00:36:58 We go watch a little college football in Michigan.
00:37:01 Yikes, which I'll probably talk about that a little bit
00:37:03 after we get into the weekend recap.
00:37:05 After the weekend recap.
00:37:06 And then I go upstairs around 12.15, 12.30,
00:37:10 grab a 45-minute nap.
00:37:12 And then we went and met with some people.
00:37:14 Went to that little club,
00:37:15 met with some people about potential sponsor stuff.
00:37:17 They were awesome, they were a great time.
00:37:18 I'm not gonna say the sponsor right now
00:37:19 because there's nothing set in stone,
00:37:21 but I will say it would be a phenomenal partnership,
00:37:24 would it not?
00:37:24 It would be incredible.
00:37:26 Had a good time.
00:37:27 Mitch might've fell in love.
00:37:32 - No?
00:37:33 - Didn't fall in love, but had a good time.
00:37:36 - Maybe that sounds worse.
00:37:39 - Didn't fall in love yet.
00:37:40 - He didn't fall in love yet, but I'll say this.
00:37:42 Spring's not too far away, right?
00:37:45 I love it, I love it.
00:37:47 And you know what, we'll see what happens
00:37:49 come Super Bowl when we get back in Las Vegas.
00:37:51 I think it's the next time we'll be there.
00:37:52 We go to that, then we go to the drone show.
00:37:55 And the only thing I'm thinking about is sleep.
00:37:58 The only thing at this point I'm thinking about is sleep.
00:37:59 I was like, we've done what we've had to do
00:38:02 for Duracell, we did the vlog,
00:38:04 the boys wanna go to a magic show,
00:38:06 and I'm just like, did I not say at noon?
00:38:08 I, hey, the minute I can get some sleep tonight,
00:38:11 I'm gonna get some sleep tonight.
00:38:11 And the boys all gonna wanna go to a magic show,
00:38:13 I was like, hey, well, I'll drop you guys off,
00:38:14 and then I'm going back to the Red Rocks.
00:38:15 I'm gonna get some sleep.
00:38:17 I could feel the boys were a little bummed.
00:38:19 Were you guys not?
00:38:21 Yeah.
00:38:22 - Bummed about?
00:38:24 - Me not going.
00:38:24 - I knew you had, you needed sleep.
00:38:29 - We appreciate that.
00:38:30 - You didn't do.
00:38:31 - I did, I did not do.
00:38:32 - Which I did not do.
00:38:33 - That's fine, because.
00:38:34 - Yeah, but I wanna say my full intent was to go get sleep.
00:38:38 - Yeah, that's fine.
00:38:39 - My full intent was to go get sleep.
00:38:41 So I take the bus back to the Red Rocks,
00:38:43 and as I'm sitting there, I didn't say this part,
00:38:46 but I got a little squirrely during Dana's
00:38:49 second night fight with the tables,
00:38:51 and I wanted to go play a little bit myself.
00:38:53 That 30 that Dana helped me out with, that's gone.
00:38:55 I lost that.
00:38:56 I got to zero, and I was like,
00:38:58 let me get the hell out of here.
00:39:00 So I'm now even, and sometimes even's W.
00:39:04 I called my wife, she's like,
00:39:06 oh man, you didn't win nothing, that's crazy.
00:39:08 Usually you win, that's wild.
00:39:10 And I kind of feel to myself,
00:39:10 hey, maybe I should go just play a couple of hands,
00:39:12 see if I can win five or 10, and kind of move on.
00:39:15 See, come out a little net positive.
00:39:16 But there's a piece of me that's like,
00:39:18 wouldn't it be sick if I was able to win Dana his money back?
00:39:23 And that is where the night of the most
00:39:25 incredible gambling experience of my life started.
00:39:28 I get to the Red Rocks, I go into the high roller room.
00:39:31 Who's sitting there?
00:39:32 Steve will do it.
00:39:33 Smoking a Marlboro Red and drinking some pink martini
00:39:36 with a sugar rim.
00:39:38 And we're sitting there, he's playing a little bit,
00:39:39 and I'm like, hey, you mind if I jump in?
00:39:41 He's like, nah, yeah, go ahead, buddy, do what you want.
00:39:43 And one of us says, wouldn't it be sick
00:39:47 if we won Dana's money back?
00:39:48 If we won him $500,000?
00:39:51 And we get all excited, and maybe,
00:39:53 hey, what if it does happen, what if it does happen?
00:39:55 And so we both pull out $10,000.
00:39:57 He pulls out from his credit line,
00:39:58 I pull out from my credit line.
00:40:00 We have $10,000 to play with.
00:40:02 We're playing $1,000 hands, a lot of money,
00:40:05 but very conservative if you're trying to win $500,000.
00:40:09 Now, after a couple of shoes, that $10,000 is $25,000.
00:40:14 And it's like, okay, well, maybe I can take this other 10,
00:40:16 I'm gonna go pay off that credit line.
00:40:17 So now I'm even, I don't owe the hotel anything.
00:40:20 And so Steve and I are there.
00:40:22 We nickel and dime slowly and slowly
00:40:24 to the point where I'm up like 70,000.
00:40:28 Steve's up 45,000.
00:40:30 And it's like, okay, we're getting to a point here
00:40:32 where we might actually be able to make a press
00:40:37 to win the 500,000.
00:40:38 It's still a dream, it's still like a non-reality.
00:40:40 It's truly impossible to do that.
00:40:43 But we keep playing.
00:40:44 And here's the cool thing.
00:40:46 There was a point where I was doing well
00:40:48 and Steve was not, just how the cards were going.
00:40:50 I give Steve $5,000, I give Steve $10,000.
00:40:53 Then there's a moment where I start going down.
00:40:55 Steve, bing, gives me $5,000.
00:40:57 We're truly playing this table as a team.
00:41:00 And it's like, vibes are high.
00:41:02 He's hype, I'm hype.
00:41:04 Bradley's sitting in the middle, talking to the chat,
00:41:05 getting chirped about eating ice cream,
00:41:07 saying he needs to eat a hot dog,
00:41:08 but he doesn't eat the hot dog
00:41:09 'cause he doesn't wanna get chirped on
00:41:10 by the whole entire world.
00:41:12 Where it's a unique experience
00:41:13 that we're all kind of in right now.
00:41:15 And we're figuring out a way for the greater good,
00:41:17 not because of me, not because of Steve,
00:41:19 but for Dana, to win this man $500,000.
00:41:23 Now, I tell him, I was like, man, I got to get to sleep.
00:41:26 I've got some sleep 'cause I have to be up
00:41:27 at 3.30 in the morning.
00:41:29 I've gotta get up at 3.30 in the morning
00:41:30 to catch this 5 a.m. flight to get back to Nashville.
00:41:32 Boy's got kids, I got a wife, I wanna go home,
00:41:34 and I wanna be a product member of our family
00:41:37 while I get back.
00:41:38 So I was like, we gotta press a little bit.
00:41:40 I lose a couple, and then I put a $25,000 hand down.
00:41:44 I put two $25,000 hands downs, excuse me.
00:41:48 One's a double, nine and two, and then one is 2/8.
00:41:52 So I get, so I obviously double that,
00:41:55 and I split the 2/8.
00:41:57 So we're talking about $100,000 right now on the table.
00:42:00 Then I get a 10 on 1/8, and I get a three.
00:42:05 Well, those of you who play cards,
00:42:06 you know you always double 11, regardless of where you're at.
00:42:10 I double, I want to double.
00:42:13 Here's the problem is, I have now bled out
00:42:15 the entire amount of money that I have won
00:42:18 to try to get Dana his money back,
00:42:19 and I am now scared that I have to go reach
00:42:21 into my own credit line and possibly come out negative
00:42:24 from this experience when the whole goal was,
00:42:27 hey, win a couple bucks, get out of here,
00:42:29 turns into winning Dana money.
00:42:30 Without thinking, without me even having the opportunity
00:42:34 to say, all right, give me 25,
00:42:36 Steve takes $25,000 of his own chips.
00:42:39 Steve will do it.
00:42:40 Takes $25,000 of his own chips,
00:42:42 takes it and puts it right next to it to double.
00:42:45 That's the kind of guy he is.
00:42:48 That's the kind of guy, that's who we're fighting for,
00:42:50 is Dana.
00:42:51 Dealer has a six, flips over a five,
00:42:55 flips over a two, flips over a three.
00:42:59 What number are we at now?
00:43:01 11, two, we're at 14.
00:43:03 The next card, a king, bus.
00:43:07 Steve's on a chair, jumps in the air.
00:43:09 I catch him like a ballerina,
00:43:11 and we are jumping up and down so excited
00:43:15 that now it has become a absolute reality
00:43:19 that we can win Dana his money back.
00:43:21 I give Steve 50, we are now sitting good.
00:43:25 We start playing a little bit more.
00:43:26 It gets to that 1130 range.
00:43:28 And I go, I pull Steve over and I'm like,
00:43:30 man, if we really wanna do this,
00:43:31 we've got to press and either lose it all
00:43:34 or make this money for Dana.
00:43:36 We played one hand where I had 15,000, 15,000,
00:43:40 and Steve had 15,000, 15,000.
00:43:42 So $60,000 on the table, we lose.
00:43:44 We win the next one and we win the next one.
00:43:48 Now we are right in that 450 range,
00:43:53 right around the 450 range where it's like
00:43:56 if we just win one more hand.
00:43:58 Think about where we came from here.
00:44:00 We both took out $20,000 and paid that off.
00:44:03 And now between Steve and I, we are at $450,000
00:44:08 with a chance to make Dana White his money back
00:44:10 after going to war two nights in a row
00:44:13 and being the position he was.
00:44:15 So we put one more hand down, 15, 15, 15, 15.
00:44:19 Cards are dealt, six, 16, 15, 14, 13.
00:44:24 Those are the cards that Steve and I have.
00:44:26 The dealer's showing six.
00:44:28 The dealer puts down six more cards, six of them,
00:44:33 and busts at 22.
00:44:37 We lose our fucking mind because like I just said,
00:44:42 $20,000 in, we're now $510,000 up.
00:44:49 We have truly lost our mind.
00:44:52 And it was so incredibly insane.
00:44:56 And I don't think, I think if Steve and I go in there
00:44:59 and play, we don't win.
00:45:00 I think we don't win.
00:45:02 I think we both end up busting out
00:45:03 if we're playing for ourselves.
00:45:05 Something about karma, something about energy,
00:45:08 something about helping good people,
00:45:11 even in categories where we all know
00:45:12 Dana White doesn't need help.
00:45:14 That was the reason why we won that money.
00:45:17 So we're sitting there, we have the 500,000.
00:45:19 They have these little, these blue chips that say $25,000.
00:45:23 Those equal out to $500,000 with 9,500 left over.
00:45:28 And it's like, well, hey, what do we do with this?
00:45:29 Oh, let's put it on one more hand, we'll see.
00:45:31 And if we win it, we'll split it.
00:45:33 And look at us, we're both walking away
00:45:34 with around 10 grand.
00:45:35 We get blackjack.
00:45:37 We got blackjack, boys.
00:45:39 Hey, we got blackjack, boys.
00:45:43 That's the kind of night we were dealing with.
00:45:45 Now, I don't understand where the enthusiasm's at
00:45:48 'cause this is a hype story.
00:45:50 - We heard, we heard.
00:45:51 - We know where we know the story.
00:45:54 - But how insane is that?
00:45:55 - It's insane.
00:45:57 - It's insane.
00:45:58 - Yes, insane.
00:46:00 - It should have never happened.
00:46:01 - Never happened.
00:46:02 - Never in a million years.
00:46:03 - Couldn't be done again.
00:46:04 - Could not be done again.
00:46:06 So we FaceTimed Dana, we're losing our minds.
00:46:08 We've won it.
00:46:09 We go cash out and I go to my room and try to sleep.
00:46:12 I barely sleep and Steve calls me and say,
00:46:14 hey, Dana's gonna be here in a little bit.
00:46:15 I think it'd be cool if we were both here
00:46:16 to give him the money.
00:46:17 So I go.
00:46:19 I was like, hey, I'll send a timer
00:46:20 for when I have to leave for my flight.
00:46:21 Call me when he's about 10 minutes out.
00:46:23 I'll do whatever.
00:46:25 He calls me.
00:46:26 It's like 2.30 in the morning.
00:46:28 So I get like two hours of sleep, hour and a half of sleep.
00:46:32 And I cruise down there.
00:46:33 Dana's ecstatic.
00:46:34 Dana's, you know, Dana, we all know Dana
00:46:37 doesn't need help with his finances.
00:46:39 But there's been numerous occasions
00:46:41 where Dana's helped me in the gambling space.
00:46:43 He's helped Steve.
00:46:44 And it was a very cool opportunity
00:46:47 for us to help Dana out
00:46:49 and just kind of do something for him
00:46:51 that a lot of people wouldn't do
00:46:52 and kind of show Dana like, you're our boy.
00:46:55 And we're not just here for you
00:46:57 'cause you're Dana White and X, Y, and Z.
00:46:59 And I feel like it was a big staple moment
00:47:02 for all three of our relationships.
00:47:03 And it was the fucking best, man.
00:47:06 It was just the camaraderie.
00:47:08 It was working for something that doesn't,
00:47:11 like, that you don't really have a whole lot to gain in
00:47:13 in that specific space.
00:47:15 It was so awesome to be a part of.
00:47:18 And he was thrilled, man.
00:47:19 He was, he's like, you know, calls me.
00:47:22 He's like, we're family now.
00:47:24 We're this, we're that.
00:47:25 He was so appreciative.
00:47:29 And I just thought it was the coolest experience ever, man.
00:47:31 I thought it was so damn cool.
00:47:34 But yeah, that's how the weekend ended.
00:47:36 I am so bummed.
00:47:38 We'll probably cut this part out,
00:47:39 but I'm bummed one of you guys weren't there to film it
00:47:42 'cause it would have been sick.
00:47:44 - I know, well, when you left,
00:47:45 you said you were going to sleep.
00:47:47 - Yeah, but you guys came in the room.
00:47:48 You guys saw what I was doing?
00:47:49 - Yeah, we came in the car stand and said, what's up?
00:47:53 - Yeah, but you saw, I was cooking a little bit
00:47:55 when you saw me.
00:47:55 I was cooking, was I not?
00:47:58 - Yeah, you were cooking, you were in the kitchen.
00:48:00 - I was chefing.
00:48:02 But yeah, I would have been sick if you guys were there.
00:48:03 I'll probably try to get that film from Steve
00:48:04 and see if we can add that to the deal.
00:48:08 We can't put him on YouTube, can we?
00:48:11 Brutal, brutal.
00:48:12 But yeah, that's the story, boys.
00:48:14 And it was, it was awesome.
00:48:17 And I literally tweet out, you know,
00:48:18 greatest gambling experience of my life
00:48:19 with Steve Will Do at Ball Ball Ball.
00:48:21 Who comes with a body bag?
00:48:22 A Michigan man, my boy, Dave Portnoy,
00:48:26 is like, you know, reached into his cool
00:48:28 gambling tweet guy simulator and pulls this one out,
00:48:30 which is on a hilarious chirp.
00:48:33 And when I saw it at 6 p.m. the night after,
00:48:34 I was like, I don't even know what to say to this.
00:48:36 Just a good body bag by him.
00:48:38 But let's talk about body armor for a second, dude.
00:48:40 I love, here it is right here, it's in my hand.

00:49:16 Joe Burrell, by the way,
00:49:17 let's get a moment of silence real quick for Joe Burrell.
00:49:20 Heartbroken, buddy, keep hydrating using Body Armor.
00:49:25 Do I have to say anything else about go to this website?
00:49:28 Yep, Body Armor's available in stores nationwide.

00:49:35 Body Armor store on Amazon, and get yours today.
00:49:38 Dude, Joe Burrell, tough sledding for the boy there, man.
00:49:43 I wonder if the Bengals are actually
00:49:45 gonna get a massive fine.
00:49:46 They're probably gonna get in big trouble, right?
00:49:48 - They said they can get in,
00:49:50 I saw something,
00:49:51 and I think this is a little over-exaggerating,
00:49:52 but how popular sports gambling is,
00:49:55 that they could become a lawsuit
00:49:59 because the amount of money that was probably put on them.
00:50:01 The Bengals didn't report anything about an injury,
00:50:03 so they could get in massive trouble.
00:50:05 - Massive trouble.
00:50:06 You saw Dave's, what'd he put, $150,000?
00:50:09 - He put $67,000 to win a million, and then lost.
00:50:13 - $67,000 to win a million,
00:50:14 but that was for them,
00:50:15 that was a futures bet to win the Super Bowl.
00:50:17 But I think he made a tweet
00:50:18 the night of the Thursday night game,
00:50:20 and says, "I still believe in the Bengals,"
00:50:22 and I think it was like $130,000
00:50:24 for Bengals money line, maybe.
00:50:26 And when Joe gets hurt, it's 10 to seven in that game,
00:50:28 like you're looking at probably the Bengals
00:50:30 being able to pull that one off.
00:50:31 Obviously, it's not gonna be the score
00:50:32 that it was before Joe got hurt,
00:50:35 but it just sucks, man.
00:50:36 And yeah, tactically, the wrong move for the Bengals,
00:50:40 not to say anything,
00:50:41 to essentially get a competitive edge over the Ravens.
00:50:44 But man, that sucks,
00:50:45 and seeing him try to throw the ball on the sideline
00:50:47 was just brutal.
00:50:48 Seemed like it was a tough weekend for all gamblers.
00:50:52 Slips and picks.
00:50:53 I think the best record we have right now
00:50:54 is Chet Savage and the Mule are at 500.
00:50:57 500 after that game.
00:50:59 The Giants go off.
00:51:01 The Giants go off against the Commanders,
00:51:02 all of a sudden they can score points.
00:51:03 We're talking about they score 17 points a game barely,
00:51:06 the 28th in the league in scoring,
00:51:07 and all of a sudden they wanna put up
00:51:09 a bajillion against the Commanders.
00:51:10 The Commanders can't put anything together.
00:51:12 Sam Howell has three interceptions.
00:51:14 That is wild, bro.
00:51:16 Wild that they were able to do that.
00:51:18 That is just crazy.
00:51:20 But yeah, man, it was a wild week.
00:51:24 Should we talk about the Titans?
00:51:26 - We can.
00:51:29 - What do we do?
00:51:30 - Tank.
00:51:31 - I think so.
00:51:32 I think that's the answer.
00:51:35 - Yeah, I mean, Houston lost.
00:51:37 - Houston won.
00:51:39 Houston beat the Cardinals.
00:51:40 - Yeah, you're right.
00:51:43 Seattle, yeah, I don't wanna talk about it.
00:51:45 - Yeah, you don't wanna talk about it.
00:51:46 The AFC South seems like it's going to be controlled
00:51:48 by the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
00:51:50 They play this week.
00:51:52 So that'll be an interesting dynamic
00:51:53 'cause I think the Texans are at five and four now,
00:51:56 and then the Jaguars are seven and three, correct?
00:51:59 Seven and four?
00:52:01 64 and seven and three.
00:52:06 So this is a big game between Jacksonville and Houston
00:52:09 to see who's gonna ride the top of the AFC South.
00:52:12 Colts, 500, just a weird squad.
00:52:15 They're still in the fight.
00:52:16 I don't get it.
00:52:18 Shout out Quentin Nelson, love him to death.
00:52:20 Hope he's all pro again.
00:52:22 But damn, bro, that's, yeah, three and seven.
00:52:24 Three and seven.
00:52:27 And now sitting back, not being a player,
00:52:29 and being a fan, and being a fan of the Titans,
00:52:32 obviously they're not gonna tank.
00:52:34 They're not sitting there at upper management going,
00:52:36 oh, let's tank, let's try to go get this receiver,
00:52:38 let's just try to get this offensive lineman.
00:52:40 But for the future of the franchise,
00:52:44 it's probably better that they lose games.
00:52:46 It's better they lose games and have more draft capital
00:52:51 so they can go and get it, 'cause we were talking about
00:52:55 how it's tough to protect Will Levis right now,
00:52:58 and the offensive line was having a tough time yesterday.
00:53:01 I know a couple of the boys who have been playing
00:53:03 actually pretty good ball had a really tough time.
00:53:05 And if you're like, all right, let's go out and get a tackle.
00:53:08 We gotta go out and get a tackle.
00:53:08 Nick's been hurt.
00:53:10 He got the shoulder, he's out for the season.
00:53:12 We don't know what we're doing at left tackle.
00:53:14 Well, you look at the free agent market next year.
00:53:16 Who's gonna be a free agent that's worth getting?
00:53:19 Jonah Williams?
00:53:20 Jonah Williams?
00:53:24 No, no, Jonah and I had some back and forth,
00:53:26 'cause I said something about in a podcast
00:53:27 how the Bengals need a left tackle,
00:53:28 and he DMed me, he's like, I hope you're kidding.
00:53:30 And I was like, well, tell your girlfriend
00:53:32 to stop texting me type stuff,
00:53:33 as if the Bengals were the girlfriends.
00:53:34 And I was kind of joking, but I think he's not even on,
00:53:39 he's not in the Bengals anymore, right?
00:53:41 He's hurt, he's hurt.
00:53:43 I saw another one, Dwayne Brown, Tyron Smith.
00:53:46 Dwayne Brown's been in the league for so long.
00:53:47 Tyron Smith, both great players.
00:53:49 Tyron Smith, for sure a Hall of Famer.
00:53:50 Dwayne Brown might also be a Hall of Famer as well.
00:53:52 But you need to get guys in there that are like studs.
00:53:55 And do you go draft?
00:53:56 'Cause you also need to help a receiver.
00:53:58 And the defense hasn't been playing that great either,
00:54:00 so it's just tough, and looking at it with critical eyes,
00:54:02 fucking hard, man.
00:54:04 It's hard, 'cause you want, I want the Titans to do well.
00:54:07 I want them to crush it.
00:54:08 But it's, what's the best thing for the Titans?
00:54:12 Tanking, which they're not gonna do.
00:54:15 They're not gonna try and do, at least.
00:54:16 They might still do it, but--
00:54:18 - I am, we're three and one at home.
00:54:19 We have the Panthers next week, or this week.
00:54:22 - We'll beat the Panthers.
00:54:23 - That seems like a pretty reasonable game to win.
00:54:26 And then we just have a bunch of divisional games too,
00:54:27 stacked in the last month of the game,
00:54:29 I mean, of the season, so, who knows?
00:54:33 - Tough, yeah, the Panthers, you win that game.
00:54:36 That gets you farther and farther away.
00:54:38 Offensive lineman or Marvin Harrison Jr., who do you want?
00:54:40 - Offensive lineman.
00:54:42 You saw in the last two weeks how many times
00:54:44 Will has been pressured.
00:54:46 We don't need our rookie QB taking that many hits.
00:54:50 Feeling like the non-confidence factor too.
00:54:53 You wanna have a little bit of time
00:54:55 to set it back in that pocket.
00:54:58 We'll see.
00:54:59 Obviously, Marvin Harrison Jr. would be a stud.
00:55:01 But, can't do anything if your quarterback
00:55:04 can't get the ball out.
00:55:05 - Interesting take.
00:55:07 Brock Bowers.
00:55:08 - Another stud.
00:55:10 - Like, if you're losing games the way you are right now,
00:55:11 these are all options.
00:55:13 Which you get these franchise type of dudes.
00:55:15 Marvin Harrison Jr., we got the game this week
00:55:18 and that dude's scary good.
00:55:21 Scary good.
00:55:22 It's a lot, man.
00:55:24 You know, I mean, Cardinals, I think they're down
00:55:27 towards the bottom of the list right now.
00:55:28 I think they're gonna do a whole lot better.
00:55:30 You saw the way Kyler Murray was kinda dishing it out.
00:55:31 They ended up losing to the Houston Texans.
00:55:33 But I think they're gonna have a better,
00:55:35 they're gonna do better as the season goes
00:55:37 and I think they're gonna win more games
00:55:39 and they lose from here on out.
00:55:41 Who else is the bottom of the pack?
00:55:43 Bengals are kinda dead right now.
00:55:45 I can see them just dropping a whole bunch of games now
00:55:47 with Joe Burrow being out for the season.
00:55:48 Torn ligament in the hand, that's tough.
00:55:51 Panthers, yep, they'll stay at the bottom.
00:55:54 Giants, the most bipolar team in the league
00:55:56 after last week.
00:55:57 Bears, who'd the Bears play?
00:55:59 'Cause they were in a fight.
00:56:00 - Bears played--
00:56:02 - They ended up losing.
00:56:03 They played somebody last week.
00:56:05 I forget who it was.
00:56:07 - Lions.
00:56:08 - That was a good game.
00:56:11 And the Lions, Dan Campbell,
00:56:12 that's coach of the year right now in our heads, right?
00:56:14 Gotta be coach of the year.
00:56:15 And he's in an absolute slugfest with the Bears.
00:56:19 Now, division rival, who knows how much that plays a factor
00:56:22 if the boys are sleepwalking a little bit.
00:56:24 I don't know.
00:56:25 Patriots, they're gonna stay towards the bottom of the list.
00:56:27 So now you're looking at that,
00:56:29 you for sure wanna be in the top 10.
00:56:31 You're gonna be in the top 10, brother,
00:56:32 if it keeps going the way it is.
00:56:34 But it's hard.
00:56:35 'Cause the Bucs, they're gonna win games.
00:56:37 Commanders, they're weird but they're gonna win games.
00:56:40 The Jets, I don't know what the fuck
00:56:42 the Jets are doing right now.
00:56:43 They got quarterback issues up the ass.
00:56:45 They benched Zach Wilson yesterday.
00:56:46 They bring in, was it Boyd?
00:56:48 Boyle?
00:56:49 Bring in Boyle.
00:56:50 He didn't do a whole lot better either, right?
00:56:51 - Zach Wilson is benched.
00:56:53 - Zach Wilson, oh, they just announced it?
00:56:55 - Yeah.
00:56:56 - And it's like now this Cinderella story
00:56:59 of Aaron Rodgers coming back
00:57:01 after a torn Achilles in December, it's like, don't.
00:57:04 - Don't.
00:57:05 - You gotta win, unless you win this week
00:57:06 against the Dolphins and puts you in a position
00:57:09 to maybe fight for something.
00:57:10 Like, what are we coming back for
00:57:11 other than how insane of a story that would be?
00:57:14 But I think it's even better if we just see him come back
00:57:17 and practice on the football field.
00:57:18 And as a Jets fan, you sit there and you're like,
00:57:20 man, I can't wait for next year.
00:57:22 'Cause that's where you get when it gets
00:57:23 towards the bottom of this list.
00:57:24 I've been three and 13.
00:57:25 I've been two and 14.
00:57:26 I haven't been there as a fan watching,
00:57:28 but as a player, you wanna win every game.
00:57:30 The boys are gonna do everything they can
00:57:31 to win every single game.
00:57:32 But for the greater good,
00:57:34 you got guys that are gonna start getting older.
00:57:36 Jeffrey Simmons' studies are gonna start getting older.
00:57:38 What happens with Derrick Henry this year?
00:57:39 He's a free agent.
00:57:40 Does he stay?
00:57:41 Probably not.
00:57:42 He's probably not a Titan next year.
00:57:44 You know, you see them, they're not using him as much.
00:57:46 I think he ran the ball 13 times for 38 yards.
00:57:50 Couldn't get into that fourth or fifth step.
00:57:52 You have in troubles on the offensive line.
00:57:54 Trey Lynn Burks has been hurt.
00:57:55 DeAndre Hopkins has a big game a few weeks ago.
00:57:57 And DeAndre Hopkins is a study.
00:57:58 He'll continue to be a study.
00:57:59 I hope he's on the team next year.
00:58:00 But you know, you gotta get Levis Protection
00:58:04 to get the ball to Hopkins.
00:58:06 But you don't want just the one guy being Hopkins
00:58:09 'cause Trey Lynn Burks, the last two years,
00:58:10 has shown that he's gotta stay healthy.
00:58:12 It's a tough world we're living in as Titan fans,
00:58:15 which we essentially have to instill our trust in Ran
00:58:18 and hope to God, we use the phrase cook,
00:58:20 goes up and cooks up a nice five-star meal
00:58:22 during their off season.
00:58:24 It is a wild deal out here, bro.
00:58:26 It's a wild deal.
00:58:27 Let's hit the Twisted question
00:58:28 and then let's jump into some college football,
00:58:30 specifically just Michigan.
00:58:33 - We're at an hour right now.
00:58:34 - Are we really?
00:58:36 - Twisted question.
00:58:37 - Do we need to do something for it?
00:58:38 - Yeah, do you wanna do yours?
00:58:39 - Yeah.
00:58:40 - Yeah, we can do mine.
00:58:42 Mine might be a quick one, but.
00:58:44 - All right, Twisted question is brought to you.
00:58:48 Go ahead, bub.
00:58:49 - The, as Ed and what's the rest,
00:58:52 correctly, this is the only segment that we actually have.
00:58:54 We don't have--
00:58:55 - Direct take?
00:58:57 - Direct take, so let's do some of it.
00:58:59 - Cool, all right.
00:58:59 Twisted question is brought to you by Twisted Tea,
00:59:01 the smoothest hard iced tea out there,
00:59:03 perfect for pool parties, tailgating,
00:59:05 holiday season's right around the corner.
00:59:06 Dude, you wake up in the morning,
00:59:08 you're off work, snow's on the ground,
00:59:09 why not grab a Twisted Tea and get spicy early?
00:59:12 Dude, college game days, keep it twisted with Twisted Tea.
00:59:15 Grab a refreshing Twisted Tea today.
00:59:18 Go ahead, Mitch.
00:59:19 Now, we had a little trouble last week.
00:59:20 Did you reach out to the internet or did you,
00:59:23 is this you?
00:59:24 - Jack reached out to the internet for me,
00:59:26 but I also thought of one or found one,
00:59:28 but I would like if Jack pulled up the tweets as well.
00:59:33 - The internet, man, we're at it, mercy.
00:59:35 - All right, so the one I found or thought of or whatever,
00:59:40 would you rather be able to see ghosts
00:59:46 but not interact with them
00:59:49 or be able to interact and talk with them,
00:59:51 but you can't really, you can't see them?
00:59:53 - I think that's an easy answer.
00:59:58 I'd rather be able to interact with them and not see them.
01:00:01 'Cause if you're just seeing ghosts
01:00:02 and you can't interact with them,
01:00:03 then that's just more scary than anything else.
01:00:04 Like, what are they up to?
01:00:05 What's their motive?
01:00:06 Why are you over here kind of just poisedly
01:00:09 dragging your little gown across the floor
01:00:12 as I'm trying to go to bed tonight?
01:00:14 With conversation, yeah, it's a little nerve-wracking
01:00:16 that you can't see them, but at the same time,
01:00:18 I'm able to, hey, what are we up to, brother?
01:00:20 We come in peace or we got a bit of an issue here?
01:00:22 Do I need to grab the holy water on the cross
01:00:24 and start doing an exorcism or what?
01:00:26 So for me, that's an easy boy right there.
01:00:27 That's simple.
01:00:28 What about you, Jackie, what you doing?
01:00:30 - Well, is it talk to ghosts and not see them
01:00:32 or see ghosts and not talk to them?
01:00:34 - Essentially.
01:00:35 - What was your answer?
01:00:36 - I would rather not see them
01:00:37 and be able to interact with them.
01:00:38 - Yeah, yeah, yeah, same.
01:00:40 'Cause if you can see them and not interact,
01:00:41 there's kind of like a weird, creepy factor there.
01:00:44 If you can just talk to them,
01:00:45 I bet majority of ghosts are pretty good people, spirits.
01:00:48 - You'd like to think so.
01:00:50 - Yeah, I mean, there's always bad seeds,
01:00:52 but I do think that, yeah, I'd rather get some knowledge
01:00:56 instead of just like, imagine if you just saw a ghost,
01:00:59 you can't interact with it, communicate,
01:01:01 and just like sitting in there.
01:01:02 It's like that to me is off-putting.
01:01:04 I'd rather have someone hearing someone talk
01:01:07 and not seeing them.
01:01:08 Seems like an easy answer.
01:01:10 - Yeah.
01:01:11 Was there anything that grabbed your eye from the internet?
01:01:14 - Give me a sec, I'm still kind of...
01:01:24 - I got time.
01:01:27 This is what I have to do today.
01:01:28 Mitch.
01:01:29 How do you feel about getting drunk on the job?
01:01:34 - Not very good about it.
01:01:35 I mean, I'm still sort of like wondering
01:01:37 if Will and I are okay.
01:01:38 - No, you and Will are fine.
01:01:39 Don't worry about that at all.
01:01:41 It would be a ridiculous thing.
01:01:43 'Cause at the end of the day, you're still waiting
01:01:44 to get your job.
01:01:45 - That might be a good one.
01:01:47 - What's that?
01:01:47 - If you could transform into an animal,
01:01:51 would you rather be a pet, like a domesticated animal,
01:01:54 or a wild animal?
01:01:55 And that comes from Hayden_Clo82 on Twitter.
01:01:59 - I would rather be a wild animal.
01:02:03 I think being a domesticated animal,
01:02:04 if I'm a predator, I'm a wolf, or a polar bear,
01:02:08 top of the food chain type stuff,
01:02:09 or just a bear in general, there's the issue
01:02:11 of scavenging for your own food
01:02:13 and making sure you have to stay alive.
01:02:15 - And think about disease.
01:02:16 There's no vets out in the wild.
01:02:20 If you're a domesticated dog or something,
01:02:21 you're getting fed two square meals a day,
01:02:24 you're sleeping whenever you want,
01:02:26 if you get sick, you're going to the doctor immediately.
01:02:29 - Right, that's with a good owner.
01:02:29 - Imagine being a dog in your house.
01:02:32 - Yeah, I would not wanna be there right now,
01:02:35 'cause I'm at war with my dogs.
01:02:36 (laughing)
01:02:38 No, I think about, what if you get a bad dog owner?
01:02:41 How much animal abuse do we hear about on the daily?
01:02:44 - That is true.
01:02:45 - And so you're a good dog owner.
01:02:46 I unfortunately am a good dog owner,
01:02:48 even though I'm having a hard time
01:02:49 with my animals right now.
01:02:50 So they're getting love, they're getting affection,
01:02:52 they're getting the resources they need when they're needed.
01:02:55 But man, I think about, not all people are good,
01:02:58 and I don't get to choose that.
01:02:59 So if you're put in that position,
01:03:00 you just gotta be a dog getting beat up on
01:03:03 or getting neglected or whatever.
01:03:04 And that's tough.
01:03:05 For me, out in the wild, your boy's making his own rules.
01:03:08 I'm out there, I'm able to rely on myself and myself alone.
01:03:12 And if I'd be able to be a part of a cool wolf pack,
01:03:14 rip around, I ain't gotta be the alpha wolf.
01:03:16 Let me hang out for a little bit.
01:03:17 Let me chill with the boys.
01:03:18 I'm gonna hang out.
01:03:19 You wanna go get some meat?
01:03:20 I'll help you hunt.
01:03:21 I'm a cool player in that situation.
01:03:23 I'm a social guy,
01:03:27 so probably some sort of social pack animal.
01:03:29 I gotta be a predator.
01:03:30 Yeah, or could be sick.
01:03:34 Orca would be sick.
01:03:35 That might be the most perfect one to pick.
01:03:37 Yeah.
01:03:39 - That's literally the biggest apex predator in the ocean.
01:03:43 - Yeah. - No one is fucking it.
01:03:44 - Except for the megalodon, you just don't see 'em.
01:03:47 Yeah, but I think orca's great.
01:03:49 You're smart, you are great at hunting,
01:03:52 you're rolling with a pod the whole time.
01:03:54 That's a great pick.
01:03:55 I'm taking orca.
01:03:56 Good pick, great pick.
01:03:58 What are you gonna be?
01:04:00 Are you sticking with domesticated?
01:04:03 - No, probably wild animal.
01:04:04 - Yeah, right?
01:04:05 Yeah, there we go.
01:04:06 - But yeah, orca too.
01:04:07 I mean, my Twitter followers know I'm orca gang.
01:04:10 I run deep in the orca world.
01:04:12 - Hell yeah, brother.
01:04:14 - I might go domesticated.
01:04:15 - Yeah, even after all that?
01:04:17 - Yeah, might just be like a golden retriever or something.
01:04:20 Just be the goodest boy.
01:04:22 - You'd be like a--
01:04:23 - So many stipulations.
01:04:24 It's like, do you have a good home if you're domesticated?
01:04:27 Are you a dog or a cat?
01:04:29 Or are you like simple as like a betta fish
01:04:32 just sitting on someone's shelf?
01:04:34 - Right?
01:04:34 - Well, you get to pick, no?
01:04:36 - I mean, this is a hypothetical question.
01:04:39 So we make the rules.
01:04:40 - We're making the rules out here.
01:04:42 Who had that question?
01:04:44 - That was Hayden Clo.
01:04:46 - Shout out Hayden Clo.
01:04:47 Hayden_Clo82.
01:04:51 Good for you, brother.
01:04:51 Good pick, good pick.
01:04:52 Appreciate you guys interacting with the boys
01:04:54 on the social medias.
01:04:55 But yeah, dude.
01:04:57 Yeah, for sure wild animal, for sure.
01:05:00 You just, that way,
01:05:02 even if you're in a tough position as a wild animal,
01:05:04 you can kind of figure your own way out of it.
01:05:06 As a domesticated animal,
01:05:07 you're at the mercy of how good your owner is.
01:05:09 And that is tough.
01:05:11 It's almost as tough as having symptoms of ADD.
01:05:13 And if you do, if you lack focus and no productivity,
01:05:15 your brain is constantly wandering.

01:05:59 You're listening to the audio,
01:06:00 I was trying to figure out how to pick this thing up.
01:06:02 I might take one of these actually,
01:06:04 'cause you guys heard about my weekend.
01:06:07 That was an awesome time.
01:06:08 That was a good time.
01:06:09 - Rip roaring time.
01:06:10 - A rip roaring time.
01:06:11 Speaking of rip roaring times,
01:06:13 this weekend I will be traveling to Ann Arbor, Michigan.
01:06:18 I'll be bringing Mitch Carsley, the booze bag himself.
01:06:21 We will be headed out to Ann Arbor.
01:06:22 He is a, we know about Mitch.
01:06:24 We know the kind of front runner fan he is.
01:06:25 He'll probably be wearing Michigan gear when we're there.
01:06:27 At least he should absolutely be.
01:06:28 We've been granted with sideline passes.
01:06:31 Shout out Dave, Dave Abloff, man.
01:06:33 They are going through a whirlwind of issues up there
01:06:36 with the allegations, all that stuff.
01:06:38 They're running around trying to figure it out.
01:06:40 And I know Dave is super busy trying to clear the name
01:06:43 of the University of Michigan,
01:06:44 'cause they've done nothing wrong.
01:06:46 They're just allegations.
01:06:47 So shout out Dave for that, man.
01:06:48 We're gonna go check out the game,
01:06:50 do a little bit of a vlog.
01:06:51 Last minute trip too, 'cause I asked you about what,
01:06:54 a month ago, if it was a possibility?
01:06:55 - Yeah, and I told you that,
01:06:57 or I said I was gonna be in town for Thanksgiving.
01:06:59 So we were gonna go last year, but something last minute.
01:07:03 It was way too last minute to kind of figure it out.
01:07:05 But this year I'm ecstatic to be going.
01:07:07 - We did college game day, and that was cool.
01:07:10 That was very cool.
01:07:11 We also got the college football show.
01:07:14 Barstow's college football show's gonna be out there.
01:07:16 Texted Dave the minute they saw it out there,
01:07:17 he's like, "Hey, I wanna be a part of that."
01:07:19 He hit me back, he's like, "We'll find a place for you."
01:07:21 So I'm fired up on that, that's gonna be awesome.
01:07:23 Big Ev's gonna be out there.
01:07:24 We have ourselves a nice little bet about that game.
01:07:26 If he wins, if Ohio State wins, he's able to,
01:07:30 I don't know, do some bullshit.
01:07:31 I think it's like, do a Spanish draft at my pool.
01:07:33 It's like, all right, bud,
01:07:34 you could've actually just came and did that,
01:07:35 but if that's what you wanna do.
01:07:36 And if Michigan wins, he's gotta put on,
01:07:38 I'm gonna give him a Taylor LeJuan jersey.
01:07:40 He's gotta put that thing on and then sing the victors in it.
01:07:43 Which I'm gonna love.
01:07:44 Him squeezing that tight little jersey
01:07:45 is just gonna make my heart sing.
01:07:47 Gonna absolutely sing.
01:07:48 So that game though, man, it's scary.
01:07:52 It's scary, but I have full confidence
01:07:54 the University of Michigan's gonna be able
01:07:55 to pull that thing off.
01:07:56 Those guys are dialed in.
01:07:57 JJ, the last couple of weeks,
01:07:59 not the best showing at Penn State.
01:08:01 Obviously, I mean, he was actually only seven for eight
01:08:03 with like 64 yards.
01:08:04 It's actually not a bad showing at all
01:08:05 for the amount of times he threw the ball.
01:08:07 But this past week against Maryland,
01:08:09 wasn't great, right?
01:08:10 Threw his first pick since he did it against Bowling Green.
01:08:12 Gives him four picks on the year.
01:08:13 But here's what I'll say about that.
01:08:15 Is Maryland was the trappiest of trap games.
01:08:17 If you go back to August when we were reviewing
01:08:19 all these games in the season, what did I say?
01:08:22 I say Michigan's going 12 and 0.
01:08:23 The scariest game on the schedule is Maryland.
01:08:25 'Cause you're gonna beat Penn State
01:08:27 the way they beat Penn State, essentially.
01:08:28 Then you're gonna go to Maryland,
01:08:29 or yeah, they went to Maryland.
01:08:32 And then you're gonna be sleepwalking.
01:08:33 Everyone's talking about the game already.
01:08:34 College game day releases a week early.
01:08:36 And I think they usually release a week of
01:08:37 that they're going to this X, Y, and Z spot.
01:08:40 They said, hey, we're going to Ann Arbor for the game.
01:08:42 Two teams that are 11 and 0,
01:08:44 vying for a playoff spot and a Bayton East contender.
01:08:48 So all eyes were already on the game.
01:08:51 They squeak it out.
01:08:52 Who cares?
01:08:53 Like throw that one to the wind.
01:08:54 Throw the stats to the wind on that one.
01:08:56 We're in Ann Arbor.
01:08:57 We have Ryan Day's number.
01:08:58 I like Ryan Day.
01:09:00 I do.
01:09:01 I'm getting to meet him in the spring tour in Columbus.
01:09:03 I enjoyed being around him.
01:09:05 He's a good guy.
01:09:06 This week though, fuck Ryan Day.
01:09:09 And fuck Columbus, Ohio.
01:09:10 And the weird thing is, I know I go off every year.
01:09:13 Michigan State plays Michigan.
01:09:15 Or Michigan plays Michigan State.
01:09:17 And I say, oh, fuck you guys, blah, blah, blah.
01:09:19 And they bring up, I was one and three,
01:09:20 and they get a 43 rushing yards.
01:09:21 I don't like Michigan State.
01:09:23 I think it's a shitty school.
01:09:26 I think it's a shitty program.
01:09:27 I don't like them.
01:09:28 They're disrespectful.
01:09:30 William Golsan punched me in the face one time.
01:09:32 That's never sat well with me since then.
01:09:34 I just do not like them.
01:09:35 There's a level of respect that I do have for Ohio State.
01:09:38 Am I gonna boast and kind of build it up a little bit more?
01:09:40 Yeah, 'cause we're playing the game of social media.
01:09:42 Maybe I'm gonna talk about it.
01:09:43 But if you listen to this show, if you're a tier one,
01:09:45 you've stuck with us in this hour
01:09:46 before the Dana White podcast, you know, listen,
01:09:48 I respect Ohio State.
01:09:50 I do.
01:09:51 But fuck Ohio State.
01:09:54 Do we have anything else?
01:09:55 Oh, and also, we gotta talk about Nebraska, Iowa.
01:09:59 Nebraska, five and six right now.
01:10:01 Five and six, when Will said nine and four season.
01:10:04 I said six and six.
01:10:06 I sat here in August and said six and six.
01:10:09 Now, they've dropped three in a row, four in a row,
01:10:13 and they were up 14-0 versus Wisconsin.
01:10:15 Everything was looking good.
01:10:16 Young Purdy was out there slinging it around,
01:10:19 and it just didn't go their way.
01:10:21 Now they gotta go play an Iowa team
01:10:22 who's already clinched the Big 10 West.
01:10:24 It's tough, bro.
01:10:28 It's so tough for me to sit here and tell these people
01:10:31 that Nebraska's gonna win this game, but I am.
01:10:34 I'm gonna sit here and tell you,
01:10:36 like, we need this for so many reasons.
01:10:37 One, Will's well-being.
01:10:40 Nebraska, whether they win or lose,
01:10:42 they're already turning in the right direction
01:10:43 'cause they won one more game than they did last year.
01:10:45 But we need to save Matt Rule
01:10:47 because Matt Rule is becoming the quote guy,
01:10:50 the guy that just says the quotes,
01:10:51 and it sounds super awesome,
01:10:52 and it makes the big headlines,
01:10:53 but they're not winning games.
01:10:54 We need a couple of dubs out of Matt Rule.
01:10:57 We need to get into a bowl game
01:10:58 'cause if we get into a bowl game,
01:10:59 you get that monkey off your back
01:11:00 for being looked at as a super shitty program.
01:11:03 And now you're able to say,
01:11:04 hey, we've officially made a bowl game.
01:11:06 We're turning in the right direction.
01:11:07 Watch out for us in two, three years.
01:11:09 That's what we need for Nebraska, and I like Matt Rule.
01:11:12 I think maybe he was colluding with Rutgers
01:11:14 and Ohio State trying to steal Michigan's signs,
01:11:16 but that'll all come out.
01:11:17 That's still allegations.
01:11:19 So I think it's gonna go,
01:11:21 I hope it goes Nebraska's way.
01:11:23 I really do 'cause we gotta look out
01:11:24 for the boy and his well-being.
01:11:26 I think if it all works out,
01:11:29 we might be headed to the Big Ten Championship as well
01:11:31 the week after that when Michigan wins.
01:11:33 But yeah, boys, we need to, a couple more things.
01:11:38 Couple more things, I'm gonna get you out of here real quick.
01:11:40 Happy Thanksgiving.
01:11:42 Have a hell of a Thanksgiving.
01:11:43 It's a great time.
01:11:44 The day after Thanksgiving, we're jumping into Christmas.
01:11:46 My family's already just completely disobeyed me
01:11:48 and jumped into that.
01:11:49 Yeah, let's see what we're thankful for.
01:11:53 I'm thankful for Jack taking that L
01:11:57 and someone spent $60,000 to take him down.
01:12:00 That's what I'm thankful for right now.
01:12:02 Go ahead, Mitch.
01:12:03 - I was gonna say actually something legit,
01:12:07 but if you were gonna-
01:12:08 - No, no, no, I'll say something else after.
01:12:09 Go ahead, Mitch.
01:12:10 - I'll get real.
01:12:12 I'm thankful for obviously this being our job,
01:12:16 like just being able to come here
01:12:19 and kind of escape like what's going on
01:12:23 in your personal life 'cause the last six months,
01:12:25 my personal life has been a bit in shambles.
01:12:28 So being able to come here and kind of forget what's going on
01:12:31 and just kind of hang with the boys and shoot the shit
01:12:33 and do the stuff that we do and travel everywhere,
01:12:35 like you're not gonna be able to do this at any other job.
01:12:38 So I'm super, super thankful for that.
01:12:40 And also just like another friends and family,
01:12:43 like heavy relying on the friends
01:12:46 and everybody's like by my side this year,
01:12:49 just been a rough year for the kid.
01:12:52 But like in just the family,
01:12:54 you can just pick up the phone and call them whenever,
01:12:56 just say what's up, checking in on you,
01:12:58 just kind of stuff like that.
01:12:59 So thankful for you guys
01:13:02 and you like the Boston boys themselves
01:13:05 and also the friends and family.
01:13:07 So happy Thanksgiving.
01:13:08 - Here's what I'll say about that, Mitch.
01:13:10 I have seen the last, how long has it been?
01:13:13 Two years being here now?
01:13:14 - Here, I came in 2022, September.
01:13:18 - September, 2022.
01:13:20 Here's what I'll say about you is when you came in,
01:13:21 we already had a really good core group of guys
01:13:24 that all had a great relationship
01:13:26 and watching you take the time to integrate into this group
01:13:29 and not just kind of bulldozing your way in
01:13:32 and whatever, which is not your personality,
01:13:34 you've done an amazing job of navigating a new workspace
01:13:37 and becoming a critical part of this team.
01:13:39 And we do appreciate you.
01:13:40 Obviously, you can always lean on the boys.
01:13:41 We love you to death.
01:13:42 And so I'm super grateful for what you're grateful for
01:13:45 'cause this is what it's all about, brother,
01:13:46 keeping the locker room alive.
01:13:48 Jackie.
01:13:48 - I'm thankful for the obvious stuff, friends, family.
01:13:53 Family, specifically my younger brother from Hawaii.
01:13:56 He came back last week and we got to surprise my mom
01:13:59 for her birthday, which is really special.
01:14:02 She had no idea.
01:14:03 So he's in town.
01:14:05 My older sister who lives in Tampa with my brother-in-law
01:14:09 and my niece are coming in town this week.
01:14:13 So, and it's her first birthday.
01:14:15 We're having a birthday party this Saturday.
01:14:17 So really stoked, really excited to be around them.
01:14:19 And then I'm most thankful for ugly Christmas sweaters.
01:14:24 - Oh, very nice plug.
01:14:26 - In the Barstool store and also help the boys in the back
01:14:30 pay for Christmas gifts
01:14:32 because we get a little extra added bonus if it goes well.
01:14:36 So.
01:14:36 - Christmas sweaters.
01:14:39 - Pick yours up.
01:14:40 - What a beautiful.
01:14:41 - Yeah, just thankful for life,
01:14:43 to be able to get up every day and breathe and walk.
01:14:46 - Nice.
01:14:47 Yeah.
01:14:48 I'll tell you what, Jackie, you've shown a lot of growth,
01:14:50 not just in the last however long I've known you,
01:14:53 but specifically these last six months.
01:14:56 You've been crushing it.
01:14:57 The emotions, the consistency of your emotions,
01:15:00 I will say has been so much better.
01:15:02 - Thanks, man.
01:15:03 - It has been a awesome thing to see
01:15:05 from a, I guess, a maturity standpoint.
01:15:08 You've really, you've grown in a big, big way.
01:15:10 - Day by day, 'cause there's slip ups.
01:15:13 - Brick by brick.
01:15:13 - Just remember that anyone listening,
01:15:15 which I'm sure there's six and a half people
01:15:17 still listening right now who haven't just skipped over
01:15:19 to go to the date interview, but day by day,
01:15:22 you're gonna have good days, you're gonna have bad days.
01:15:25 You know, two steps forward, one step back.
01:15:27 Live by that, it works.
01:15:29 Yeah, Christmas sweaters though, buy them.
01:15:33 - Buy them, I love it.
01:15:36 Thankfulness, thankfulness.
01:15:39 First thing I'm thankful for is my family, obviously.
01:15:42 Getting this last year, since February,
01:15:46 when I was essentially cut by the Titans
01:15:49 and having this transition of life,
01:15:51 I have seen the growth in the relationships I have with,
01:15:55 Taylor and I have always had a phenomenal relationship,
01:15:56 but my kids and I, I could tell with football,
01:16:00 there was a piece of our relationship that was lacking.
01:16:04 Not in like a, you know, not being around type of dad,
01:16:07 but just not as present as I should be.
01:16:09 And so for me to be able to like,
01:16:13 I guess see them warm up to me in a place where
01:16:18 I can feel good about being the present father
01:16:21 that I thought I was and really realizing how I am now,
01:16:24 even if all the traveling we're doing,
01:16:26 that's probably what I'm number one most grateful for,
01:16:29 by far.
01:16:30 Those kids are, dude, they're the best.
01:16:32 They are the best and I'm doing my best
01:16:35 not to get emotional about it because we do need
01:16:37 to transition to this podcast, but it is,
01:16:40 there's nothing like being a dad.
01:16:41 There's nothing like,
01:16:43 like I went and dropped my kids off today at school
01:16:46 and we were a little late.
01:16:47 We were a little late today.
01:16:49 Someone forgot to brush their teeth.
01:16:50 I'm not gonna say who it was.
01:16:51 And we took an extra five minutes
01:16:53 and we ended up being a couple minutes late to school.
01:16:54 But as I was leaving, my youngest daughter,
01:16:57 who was born when I had my first ACL
01:17:00 and kind of took the brunt of, you know,
01:17:02 my lack of presence, turns around halfway
01:17:05 and runs over to me and hugs me.
01:17:06 And to me, I'm like, dude, it's just so great
01:17:10 to see the intentional steps paying off
01:17:14 with the relationship.
01:17:15 'Cause that is the most important thing.
01:17:17 Jordan Peters talks about it all the time.
01:17:18 That's the most important relationship you can have
01:17:20 is with your kids.
01:17:21 So I'm super grateful for that.
01:17:23 We're gonna get you into this podcast real quick,
01:17:24 but quick announcement.
01:17:26 Bet the bus and Slips and Picks.
01:17:31 We'll be coming out on Wednesday.
01:17:32 So tomorrow we're gonna film,
01:17:34 Will and I are both gonna be on Bet the Bus.
01:17:36 Payoff Willie, Louie, Locke's both on Bet the Bus.
01:17:38 And we're gonna film Slips and Picks.
01:17:40 Slips and Picks usually comes out on Thursday.
01:17:42 People say, I see the comments all the time.
01:17:44 Hey, great show, we love the show, it's an amazing show.
01:17:47 Let's get some numbers to reflect that a little bit.
01:17:48 Let's get the numbers reflected
01:17:49 'cause it's an overwhelmingly positive comment section.
01:17:53 But we need to get that thing up
01:17:54 'cause the boys are actually winning some money,
01:17:56 which is wild.
01:17:57 First year of betting and this has been awesome.
01:17:59 And so right after that,
01:18:01 so Wednesday, Bet the Bus, Slips and Picks.
01:18:04 Let's talk about sport clips for a second.
01:18:06 Your hair may grow fast, but after going to sport clip,
01:18:08 haircuts, you'll wish they grew even faster.
01:18:10 That's because sport clips has the best seats in hair.
01:18:14 And that may or may not be because they happen to be
01:18:17 right in front of TVs playing sports all day, every day.
01:18:19 We know watching sports while getting a haircut
01:18:21 sure beats watching your reflection get a haircut,
01:18:25 which is why sport clips every day is clippers
01:18:28 and curve balls, high tops and Hail Marys,
01:18:30 and even waves and wickets,
01:18:32 if you're into that kind of thing.
01:18:33 As sport clips, you can check in with the pros in men's hair
01:18:36 and totally check out with pure uninterrupted relaxation.
01:18:39 So yeah, come watch an endless stream of sports on TV
01:18:42 while getting an awesome haircut sport clips.
01:18:45 It's a game changer.
01:18:46 With that being said,
01:18:46 please enjoy this Dana White podcast.
01:18:49 - We're gonna roll, we're gonna go.
01:18:51 Yeah.
01:18:52 - He's on a tear.
01:18:53 - I don't know, man, after last night,
01:18:55 that was the biggest comeback I've seen in gambling history.
01:18:59 That was unbelievable.
01:19:00 What was-
01:19:01 - You're the sensei of blackjack.
01:19:03 You're the sensei.
01:19:05 - I've been doing it for a long time
01:19:06 and I've had many nights like last night and even deeper.
01:19:09 I've had some fucking wars, man.
01:19:10 And yeah, last night was fun.
01:19:13 And thanks for riding it out with me.
01:19:14 - Oh yeah, absolutely.
01:19:15 'Cause I knew essentially you were like,
01:19:17 you're coming just to gamble with me.
01:19:19 And then like eight o'clock hits and you call me,
01:19:21 hey, my tooth is broken.
01:19:22 I'm thinking, hey, you don't have to come, it's all good.
01:19:24 - I'm doing fucking Friday yesterday
01:19:26 and I fucking break my tooth in the back.
01:19:28 And I got this great dentist in town here,
01:19:32 Steve Wilson, if you ever need a dentist, they're in town.
01:19:35 - Shout out Steve.
01:19:36 - I fly to his place.
01:19:37 He fucking opens his place for me,
01:19:39 gets in there and whips my tooth back together.
01:19:42 And then I come and meet you and we start going at it.
01:19:46 - That was wild.
01:19:46 Do you wanna talk about numbers
01:19:48 and what your situation was?
01:19:49 - You tell me whatever you want.
01:19:51 - So this is what I saw.
01:19:52 And I know we talked about it a little bit,
01:19:53 but Dana's rule, and you can correct me at any point,
01:19:57 is you play, you max out the hands,
01:19:59 you win two hands and you get the fuck out of there.
01:20:01 No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
01:20:02 That is the rule.
01:20:03 That's what you do.
01:20:04 - 100%.
01:20:05 - So we come in-
01:20:05 - No one your number.
01:20:06 - You got a rule, yeah.
01:20:07 - No one your number and fighting
01:20:08 until you get to that number and then leaving.
01:20:10 We get my number, you go quickly, you get your number,
01:20:13 and then we're sitting there kind of just chatting,
01:20:14 hanging out.
01:20:15 - I didn't really have a number last night.
01:20:17 (laughing)
01:20:18 So I've been gone.
01:20:20 I went out of town for a little while
01:20:21 and I haven't played in a minute.
01:20:22 So I was excited to get together with him and play.
01:20:25 We're fucking around.
01:20:26 We get into a battle with his,
01:20:29 he didn't know that I was playing for him
01:20:30 when I was playing.
01:20:31 - Which is wild.
01:20:32 - So I'm in this big battle, 280,
01:20:35 down 280, come all the way back,
01:20:37 and I win his 30.
01:20:38 And I hand it to him, he's like, "Oh, what?"
01:20:39 No, I said, "No, I was playing for you.
01:20:41 "That's you, buddy.
01:20:41 "You got it."
01:20:42 So pumped.
01:20:43 So I started goofing around a little bit.
01:20:48 I win.
01:20:49 I'm up like 80, 90, 100 in that ballpark.
01:20:52 And I said, "I'm going in again."
01:20:55 He's like, he looks at me, he goes,
01:20:56 "You're breaking your rule."
01:20:57 I go, "I'm breaking all the rules tonight."
01:20:59 - Did it happen fast?
01:21:00 Did the 90, 100 happen fast
01:21:02 and you were just kind of like,
01:21:03 "All right, I need a little bit more action."
01:21:03 - Nothing was really fast.
01:21:04 Last night was kind of, it was battlish.
01:21:07 I should have read all the fucking signs that said,
01:21:09 "The gambling gods are telling you
01:21:10 "to get the fuck out of here right now."
01:21:13 I didn't listen.
01:21:13 I had my conscience over here on my left side
01:21:16 saying, "Hey, you're breaking the rules.
01:21:18 "Go in."
01:21:19 And it just fucking, you know,
01:21:20 we would go, we'd get a little deep
01:21:22 and I'd get right there and almost be out.
01:21:25 I mean, at one point we were like one hand away
01:21:27 and we were out.
01:21:28 And it was like, I couldn't win a double down last night
01:21:31 to save my fucking life.
01:21:32 And if I got a 20, it meant I was gonna lose.
01:21:35 I lost every fucking 20 I got last night.
01:21:38 Think about that, losing 20.
01:21:40 When you get a 20, you're supposed to be excited.
01:21:42 When I got 20, I got to the point, huh,
01:21:43 where I said, "I'm gonna lose this hand."
01:21:44 - Right, and then maybe showing like a four
01:21:46 and then like six cards later, 21.
01:21:48 - The first time doing it around Dana too,
01:21:50 like watching it happen,
01:21:51 that was kind of the theme of the night as well.
01:21:54 He'd be like, "Oh, you're gonna fucking beat me anyway,
01:21:55 "even though I got 19 or 20."
01:21:56 That's just how it works, watch boys.
01:21:57 And then he ends up losing.
01:21:58 He gets all pissed off.
01:21:59 He's like, "Let's go." - Just nuts.
01:22:00 'Cause the funny thing is too,
01:22:02 he's like Mr. Positive when he walks in.
01:22:03 "Hey, keep the high energy, keep good."
01:22:04 And then he did a couple of hundred thousand,
01:22:06 like, "This motherfucker right here,
01:22:07 "go ahead and flip it over."
01:22:09 There was one guy, the dealer last night, Todd.
01:22:12 - You can literally say exactly what they're gonna do.
01:22:15 When the cards turn this way,
01:22:18 you know what's gonna happen.
01:22:19 Literally everything that I would say would happen.
01:22:22 If I had a 14, I'd get to 10.
01:22:25 If I had an 11, I'd get to four for a double downer.
01:22:28 You know what I mean?
01:22:29 It's just clockwork.
01:22:30 - It was a wild deal.
01:22:31 To the point too where we're pushing seven figures
01:22:34 at one point and--
01:22:35 - Down.
01:22:36 - Yeah, down.
01:22:37 And a buffet comes in.
01:22:39 They literally rolled in.
01:22:41 All the little butlers roll in with all the food
01:22:44 and he takes a nice little, he takes a break,
01:22:46 eats his food and he's like,
01:22:47 "I gotta get out of here pretty soon.
01:22:48 "I can't do the late night 'cause--"
01:22:50 - Little omelet. - I think one reason.
01:22:51 - You know what I mean?
01:22:52 - Just a refuel day 'cause when I was back here in August
01:22:55 for Power Slap, I was on, I mean,
01:22:57 I think I won seven, eight times in a row.
01:22:59 And to the point where it's getting numb
01:23:01 that I was like, "I don't think, if you're with me,
01:23:03 "I don't think I can lose."
01:23:05 And then there's guys there that night,
01:23:07 different circumstances, and I end up losing
01:23:08 a whole bunch of money.
01:23:10 And the fact that you've taken it personal
01:23:11 where you're like, we're sitting there, he's down,
01:23:14 you know, we'll say 500.
01:23:14 I have no idea what the number is.
01:23:16 He looks at me, he goes, "How much you down?"
01:23:17 We kind of talk about it a little bit.
01:23:18 He goes, "We're gonna make back all that money.
01:23:20 "No problem."
01:23:21 - Don't you worry.
01:23:22 - You're in the middle of a war right now.
01:23:23 - You're okay. - Talking about the next war
01:23:25 that we gotta go through.
01:23:27 It's wild.
01:23:27 The way this all started was us meeting at the Super Bowl.
01:23:31 And then you're like, "Hey, you guys should come out
01:23:32 "to Power Slap."
01:23:33 And the explosion that has happened with Power Slap,
01:23:36 like how does, did you expect that to go the way it has?
01:23:39 You knew it was obviously gonna be successful,
01:23:41 but it's gotten to a crazy degree at this point.
01:23:43 - When I looked at it, you know, and I was like,
01:23:46 "Holy fuck, this whole thing doesn't make sense.
01:23:48 "How is this pulling these kind of numbers?"
01:23:49 And then you start to think, well, what if I did it?
01:23:51 'Cause I know I'm gonna do it better
01:23:52 than anybody else can do it.
01:23:54 What would that mean?
01:23:55 And then here we are 10 months later,
01:23:58 and this thing is a fucking monster, man.
01:24:00 It's just an absolute monster.
01:24:02 And we sit here every day and we look at the numbers.
01:24:05 When we do an event, whether it was one, two, three,
01:24:10 four, or five, and the stuff that gets posted socially,
01:24:15 it's just, we watch it every day.
01:24:17 So it was two days ago, AJ, you know,
01:24:21 our little social media queen
01:24:24 that runs all the social media for us,
01:24:26 she's hitting me up and she says,
01:24:28 "Yeah, the Sheena post is at 105 million right now."
01:24:32 And this was how many weeks ago?
01:24:33 Huh?
01:24:36 Three weeks ago?
01:24:36 It's at 105 million in three weeks, the Sheena slap, right?
01:24:40 And we're talking, she goes,
01:24:42 "It just went to 106 while we're on the phone."
01:24:45 - Just crazy. - So then that night,
01:24:46 we had a power slap meeting, it was at 110.
01:24:50 When we had the meeting that night about power slap.
01:24:52 So every fucking day, the thing goes up millions,
01:24:55 millions of views.
01:24:56 - Is that where a lot of the money and stuff is made,
01:24:59 is through more social?
01:25:01 - So what happened?
01:25:02 - Than the viewing live on Rumble and stuff like that?
01:25:04 'Cause I think a lot of people have like a idea
01:25:07 that it's like, oh, how can it be successful?
01:25:09 It's like, this isn't that great of a this and that,
01:25:11 but obviously through social media.
01:25:12 - 'Cause you have no idea what you're doing
01:25:14 and you have no idea what you're fucking talking about.
01:25:16 All these fucking, all you people
01:25:17 that are fucking talking shit, and especially the media.
01:25:20 I love the media.
01:25:21 If the media tells you you've got something
01:25:24 that's gonna fail, it's definitely gonna fucking win.
01:25:27 The media are the dumbest, know nothing, do nothing,
01:25:31 never fucking built nothing motherfuckers on planet earth.
01:25:34 So when they say it isn't gonna work,
01:25:37 you got a fucking home run, man.
01:25:38 You know what I mean?
01:25:39 It's jump in and grind.
01:25:41 The media, these guys think about who these people are.
01:25:45 When you really think about the media, who are they?
01:25:49 Where did they come from?
01:25:51 Why does their opinion matter?
01:25:52 What have they ever done?
01:25:54 What have they ever created?
01:25:55 What have they ever built?
01:25:56 Who's ever depended on a paycheck from the media?
01:25:59 Nobody.
01:26:00 They are a bunch of fucking zeros
01:26:02 that sit around and write stories
01:26:05 about people who are actually doing shit.
01:26:07 It's fucking fascinating.
01:26:09 - Fucking juicing me up.
01:26:10 - When you really think about it.
01:26:11 - Yeah, I know, right?
01:26:12 Juicing me up right now.
01:26:13 It's not a fascinating concept.
01:26:15 People who have never done a fucking thing in their life,
01:26:18 ever, sit around and write about people who are.
01:26:22 - What got you to that conclusion?
01:26:25 - Think about that.
01:26:26 Who gives a flying fuck what any of those zeros
01:26:30 have to say about anything?
01:26:32 - Yeah, absolutely.
01:26:33 - It's fascinating.
01:26:34 So anyway, so no, we make money off
01:26:39 just like any other sports property.
01:26:41 We make money off our television rights.
01:26:44 We make money off sponsorship.
01:26:46 We make money off video games, licensing, all that stuff.
01:26:49 I am leaving here when we're done
01:26:52 and I'm striving straight to Fertitta Enterprises
01:26:55 and we're doing a huge fucking story
01:26:57 about Power Slap with SPJ.
01:27:00 It is the biggest, baddest sports fucking story of the year
01:27:04 that nobody fucking knows.
01:27:05 - I know, that'll be awesome to read about too.
01:27:07 It's like, from the business standpoint,
01:27:09 what's been like, I guess the most exciting thing
01:27:12 on making that business work with Power Slap?
01:27:15 Because UFC and all these other entertainment businesses,
01:27:18 you can kind of just see the success
01:27:20 based on what the public opinion is on it, right?
01:27:22 Like you've got great pay-per-view fights
01:27:24 and everything else.
01:27:25 Like what's been challenging or what's been fun
01:27:28 about building the business of Power Slap
01:27:29 since you've acquired it?
01:27:30 - All the things that I love.
01:27:32 The negativity.
01:27:33 - Yeah.
01:27:34 - When people come out and say, this thing sucks,
01:27:38 this can't be done, you can't do it.
01:27:40 That is the shit that gets me out of bed every day.
01:27:43 And I love every fucking minute of it.
01:27:45 And then the end result in shoving it
01:27:49 right up everybody's ass.
01:27:50 I fucking love every minute of it, man.
01:27:52 It's the fucking best.
01:27:53 And the only people I'm really talking to
01:27:56 about this thing, there's some guys out there
01:27:58 that we consider friendlies and we do whatever,
01:28:01 but the Sports Business Journal.
01:28:03 It's like, in the sports world, they are the, you know,
01:28:06 it's what everybody in the industry reads,
01:28:09 it's what all the sponsors read and everybody else.
01:28:11 Monster.
01:28:12 The other thing that's incredible about this product
01:28:15 is when we, like even the ads, you know, our sponsors,
01:28:20 when we post something that's sponsor-driven,
01:28:24 something, you know, UFC stuff does like 1.7 million views.
01:28:28 Power Slap does 15 or 16 million views.
01:28:30 It's like, so right now, this year, year to date on TikTok,
01:28:35 we're number one through seven.
01:28:38 - Yeah.
01:28:39 - One through seven with Power Slap.
01:28:40 On Instagram, we're number one, NBA's two and three,
01:28:44 Power Slap is number four, five and six,
01:28:46 NBA is like seven and eight.
01:28:48 And to put it into perspective,
01:28:49 the NBA has 80 million followers.
01:28:51 NFL has 30 million followers.
01:28:54 We just hit two million.
01:28:56 We just hit two million followers.
01:28:57 So we've done all this under two million followers.
01:29:00 - And yeah, I don't think people understand like
01:29:03 how big of a player just the social media platforms
01:29:05 are, right?
01:29:06 'Cause you're talking about all the views
01:29:07 and everything else and you get, you know,
01:29:09 the money that's being paid and the platform
01:29:11 that you're given on like TikTok and everything else,
01:29:14 it's like, that is where money is,
01:29:15 is where everybody's attention is.
01:29:17 And that's where you've done a great job,
01:29:19 like capitalizing with the business.
01:29:21 - That's not even getting into the fact
01:29:22 that we're doing 450 million views in India,
01:29:26 90 million in Russia.
01:29:27 - Yo, that is nuts, man.
01:29:28 - And the list just goes on and on
01:29:29 as I break it into all the different countries.
01:29:31 So it's like, when you talk about, you know,
01:29:34 people like, well, how do you monetize?
01:29:36 That's what we do.
01:29:37 That's what we do.
01:29:38 That's my specialty is you take these,
01:29:41 you know how many times I've been offered,
01:29:43 people will call me up and say,
01:29:44 hey, would you like to invest in this baseball team?
01:29:47 Hey, would you like to invest in, you know,
01:29:51 this, we were looking at an NBA team one time,
01:29:53 me and the Fertitta brothers.
01:29:55 And the answer is no.
01:29:57 I don't want anything to do with that shit.
01:29:59 You know what I like?
01:30:00 I like taking fringe sports that people think
01:30:03 can't be built and think can't be,
01:30:04 and monetizing those and building them up into,
01:30:06 you know, the UFC.
01:30:08 It's easy for everybody to look back now and go,
01:30:09 oh, the UFC, yeah, fucking, yeah.
01:30:12 If you got into the UFC, when we got into the UFC,
01:30:15 it was power slap.
01:30:16 It was looked at like fucking power slap.
01:30:19 It was actually worse because it was actually illegal
01:30:22 in some fucking states.
01:30:23 It was actually illegal to do.
01:30:25 This is how bad it was with the UFC.
01:30:27 At that time, you as a grown adult
01:30:31 didn't have the option to buy it on pay-per-view.
01:30:34 Porn was on pay-per-view.
01:30:37 The UFC was not allowed on pay-per-view.
01:30:39 That's how fucking bad it was.
01:30:40 So to look at the UFC now and go,
01:30:42 oh, you have, of course, $2 million for the UFC.
01:30:45 Shut the fuck up.
01:30:46 You guys have no idea what you're talking about.
01:30:48 - This thing was just hoping, you know,
01:30:49 at some point you fail and then when they got
01:30:51 a little moment to try and grab it and capitalize on it,
01:30:53 write about it and everything else,
01:30:54 it's like, that's the shot everybody tries to take.
01:30:57 - Well, it gets to a point with me where it's just like,
01:30:59 how many more fucking times are you gonna doubt me
01:31:01 and what I'm capable of doing, you know?
01:31:04 We're doing the same thing right now with Throw One.
01:31:07 We own Throw One, which I told you guys
01:31:09 a million times you already did.
01:31:10 We own Ridiculousness, Nitro Circus, SLS Skate League,
01:31:13 Travis Pastrana's Nitro Cross,
01:31:15 and we bought that company like a little over a year ago
01:31:19 and they're based in California.
01:31:21 I'm building offices over here right now.
01:31:23 We're building them out.
01:31:24 These guys will be here in the next couple of months
01:31:26 and I'll be involved in that.
01:31:27 I'm already involved in the daily,
01:31:29 but I'll be really involved in that in the daily
01:31:30 when we get it over here, get it out of California
01:31:33 and get it here in Vegas.
01:31:34 Literally, my office connects to their offices.
01:31:39 So that's gonna be a really fun project
01:31:43 over the next couple of years.
01:31:43 - That's like up your alley.
01:31:45 - Yeah, I mean, I've shown them a bunch of interests.
01:31:48 I grew up on Nitro Circus, Supercross, all that stuff.
01:31:51 That was like the first love of mine
01:31:53 before I got into organized sports and all that.
01:31:55 But you talk about the mindset
01:31:56 and how your essential hate for mainstream media
01:31:59 when did you learn about the ins and outs?
01:32:02 'Cause obviously like this has been,
01:32:03 you've been in the business forever of these fringe sports
01:32:06 and making them what they are today.
01:32:08 How did you kind of adapt to the world
01:32:11 with internet and all that?
01:32:12 How did your mindset change as you kept going?
01:32:14 - Well, I love the internet.
01:32:15 I'm all about, I love that we can talk directly
01:32:18 to our fans with no middlemen.
01:32:20 Nothing worse than trying to do what you do
01:32:23 and going through a middleman.
01:32:25 And everything that I really do right now
01:32:29 is direct to consumer.
01:32:30 I go directly to our consumers
01:32:31 and talk to the people that wanna listen.
01:32:35 And realistically, when you look at it right now,
01:32:39 the two most hated people on the planet right now
01:32:42 are the media and politicians, right?
01:32:45 Nobody trusts them, nobody likes them.
01:32:47 They know that most of them are lying
01:32:52 and there's never been a better time
01:32:54 for social media than now.
01:32:56 And like I said, in every way, shape and form
01:32:59 in every business that we own,
01:33:01 I talk directly to our consumers.
01:33:03 That's it.
01:33:04 - When you brought up politicians
01:33:06 and you're on this past weekend recently with Theo Vaughn
01:33:10 and he brought up like an RFK interview, I believe it was.
01:33:14 And then Peloton reached out and said,
01:33:16 "Hey, you can't have him on there."
01:33:18 And you essentially went on a rant like you did with us
01:33:21 about hating the mainstream media,
01:33:22 how you can't tell people what to do.
01:33:23 - 100%.
01:33:24 - And you were telling me about that process last night
01:33:25 with the Pelotons and all these other bike companies.
01:33:28 Like, when did you learn that you had the power
01:33:31 to essentially take away from people saying
01:33:32 what you can and can't do in your business?
01:33:34 - COVID.
01:33:35 - Yeah.
01:33:36 - I mean, I knew it before then,
01:33:37 but we're really never...
01:33:40 Well, we went through the whole UFC thing first.
01:33:43 I mean, people, the mainstream media
01:33:45 shitting all over the UFC and how it should be banned
01:33:48 and this shouldn't exist and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:33:51 Then here comes COVID.
01:33:52 You got the fucking goofy New York Times
01:33:56 and all these other fucking clowns coming out,
01:33:59 talking shit, blasting me every day.
01:34:02 They don't matter.
01:34:04 They don't matter.
01:34:05 And they don't have the influence or the power
01:34:08 that they think they do.
01:34:09 And you can come out and say whatever you want about me
01:34:13 and go do whatever you want about me.
01:34:15 You determine your future.
01:34:19 Not people like this.
01:34:21 It's like that whole fucking cancel culture bullshit
01:34:23 and all this stuff that goes on.
01:34:25 You just gotta say, fuck you.
01:34:28 You know what I mean?
01:34:28 - Yeah, it seems like you get a thrill out of it, honestly.
01:34:30 Like people trying to come at you is your fear.
01:34:32 - Well, I don't know if I get a thrill out of it,
01:34:34 but if you wanna pick a fight with me, let's fucking go.
01:34:38 - Yeah.
01:34:39 - Let's go.
01:34:40 - Yeah, taking everything head on
01:34:41 seems like your way about doing everything.
01:34:43 That does seem like...
01:34:44 - And these guys that come out and do these things
01:34:46 that do these stories on you, right?
01:34:49 Who are you?
01:34:50 What have you done?
01:34:52 And are you perfect?
01:34:55 You never fucked up?
01:34:56 Never made any mistakes?
01:34:58 Got any skeletons in your closet?
01:35:00 Of course they do.
01:35:02 Of course they do.
01:35:04 We're all fucking human.
01:35:05 We've all done, my New Year's Eve incident.
01:35:08 Fucking did it.
01:35:09 Happened.
01:35:10 No excuses, no fucking...
01:35:11 I could have tried to make up 10 excuses.
01:35:14 There's no fucking excuse.
01:35:16 I did it.
01:35:17 I admit it.
01:35:19 I accept it.
01:35:20 Now what I gotta do is I gotta get up every day
01:35:22 and I gotta...
01:35:23 At the end of the day, you have to live with you.
01:35:26 Fuck everybody else and what their opinion is of you.
01:35:28 You have to know who you are
01:35:31 and you have to be able to live with yourself.
01:35:33 I got three fucking kids that I love more than anything.
01:35:36 You know what I mean?
01:35:37 And I embarrassed them last New Year's Eve.
01:35:42 I embarrassed myself.
01:35:43 I embarrassed my kids.
01:35:44 You know what I mean?
01:35:45 So you gotta get up
01:35:46 and you gotta look in the fucking mirror,
01:35:48 say, "I fucked up.
01:35:50 "And how do I make sure this never happens again, ever?"
01:35:55 And that's it.
01:35:55 I mean, you're only fucking...
01:35:59 The only one that you have to answer to is yourself
01:36:03 and the people that care about you
01:36:05 and love you and your family.
01:36:07 Fuck everybody else.
01:36:09 No, and I think it's cool that you're talking about it
01:36:13 because my question is,
01:36:15 when you are going through that,
01:36:18 how difficult was that moment?
01:36:20 Because you're somebody, you'll stand up,
01:36:21 you'll stand in the batter's box,
01:36:22 you'll swing with the best of them.
01:36:24 You kind of seem like you can't chip the armor,
01:36:26 but when you have these philosophies you go by,
01:36:29 'cause everybody's human, like you said,
01:36:32 talk about those times where it is super difficult,
01:36:34 things that you lean on.
01:36:35 Maybe it's people, maybe you have a mentor,
01:36:37 maybe it's a circle, maybe it's just your family.
01:36:39 Talk about the low part of that.
01:36:41 - There's nobody but you.
01:36:43 You find out who's who and what's what
01:36:44 when shit hits the fan.
01:36:45 I say it all the time.
01:36:47 You'll see the people that will reach out to you,
01:36:50 see if you're good and the people who won't.
01:36:51 It's all good, I'm whatever,
01:36:53 but the only one that you have to fucking worry about
01:36:55 is you, you, yourself, because it's about you.
01:37:00 You fucked up.
01:37:01 Are you willing to fucking accept the fact
01:37:03 that you messed up and you have to fix this?
01:37:06 You are the one that has to get up every day
01:37:08 and look in the mirror and say,
01:37:09 did I do right, did I do wrong, how do I make myself?
01:37:13 Every day, I have this Bruce Lee quote everywhere,
01:37:16 in my house, in the gym, in here, in everything
01:37:18 about how man, every day when you get out,
01:37:22 basically what this quote says is,
01:37:23 every day when you get out of bed,
01:37:25 your stride and your game plan should be
01:37:28 to be better than you were yesterday, right?
01:37:31 And you will hit plateaus, but you must break through them
01:37:35 and you must exceed to the next level.
01:37:37 And I fucking love that shit.
01:37:39 That is exactly how I live every day of my life,
01:37:42 whether it's my workout, now my health, my business,
01:37:46 my relationships, my family.
01:37:49 How do you make sure that you're better
01:37:50 than you were yesterday?
01:37:51 And when you get into these situations
01:37:53 like I was in on New Year's Eve,
01:37:55 it's like, so you can do two things.
01:37:58 You can run and fucking hide, curl up in a ball
01:38:01 and let the world just fucking beat you to death,
01:38:03 or you can dig your fucking heels in,
01:38:05 you figure out how to, you have to figure out yourself
01:38:08 and then you fucking, you dig in and you fight.
01:38:10 I literally, the day we got back from Mexico,
01:38:13 I had a quote installed on my wall.
01:38:16 It says, "May God have mercy upon my enemies
01:38:19 because I won't."
01:38:21 So let's fucking go.
01:38:23 - Hey, this is you.
01:38:26 - It's a gambling creed too, for, bet the boss.
01:38:28 - The gambling creed?
01:38:30 - Yeah, may God have mercy on the sports,
01:38:31 but because I won't.
01:38:32 - But you've seen these guys, you know,
01:38:35 who make mistakes and fuck up and do whatever
01:38:37 and the world comes after them and they just disappear.
01:38:40 And they roll over and they bow down
01:38:42 to whatever the fucking, the crowd mentality wants from you.
01:38:46 You know what I mean?
01:38:48 Where at the end of the day, we all make mistakes
01:38:51 and we're all human.
01:38:52 But if you know who you really fucking are and you,
01:38:54 you know, you don't have to explain yourself
01:38:57 to the rest of the world.
01:38:58 You have to explain yourself and make things right
01:39:00 with the people that are in your inner circle
01:39:02 and that are your family.
01:39:03 But at the end of the day,
01:39:05 do you have to fucking stick up for yourself
01:39:06 if you believe in, you know what I mean?
01:39:09 I see guys that take just a little bit of heat
01:39:12 and the fucking wheels come off the bus and they,
01:39:14 you know, they run and hide.
01:39:16 It's building the UFC, going through COVID,
01:39:21 building slap, I am not the run and hide fucking guy.
01:39:25 That's just not who I am and I will never be.
01:39:27 - Moving forward, like it seems like
01:39:30 that's all you're focused on is all that.
01:39:31 And you've really taken your health to like the next level
01:39:34 and you've seen it.
01:39:35 Like when we first met you at the Super Bowl this past year,
01:39:38 you were showing us photos of you and sloppy guy.
01:39:42 Just kind of seemed like you're eating whatever,
01:39:43 doing whatever.
01:39:44 And you've been saying, I mean, right?
01:39:47 Those photos.
01:39:48 I mean, he always kind of a built cat,
01:39:50 but you, you know, there was some--
01:39:51 - Don't backtrack, just call me sloppy, come on.
01:39:53 - Yeah, there was some sloppiness going on in those photos.
01:39:56 But you talk about Gary Brekka.
01:39:56 - I'm never doing this podcast.
01:39:58 (laughing)
01:39:59 - You talk about Gary Brekka, man,
01:40:01 and how he has essentially changed your life.
01:40:03 How did you get on board with a guy like that?
01:40:04 How did that whole process happen for you?
01:40:07 - There's a girl named Carrie Kasem.
01:40:08 I don't know if you guys are probably too young,
01:40:09 but Casey Kasem used to have a radio show called
01:40:12 Casey Kasem's Top 40.
01:40:13 Every week he broke down the top 40 songs in the country.
01:40:17 He was also the voice for Scooby-Doo.
01:40:19 Or no, Shaggy, Shaggy on Scooby-Doo.
01:40:22 And you know, his daughter and I have been friends
01:40:25 for many years.
01:40:26 And she's hardcore, but she's kind of a hippie.
01:40:30 You know what I mean?
01:40:31 She's into all the holistic shit.
01:40:32 I didn't believe in that stuff two years ago.
01:40:34 I thought it was all a crock of shit.
01:40:36 Now it's all I believe in.
01:40:37 I'm one of these guys,
01:40:40 show me, prove it to me.
01:40:44 You're telling me that it's this way,
01:40:46 but you have to prove it to me.
01:40:48 So I finally decide to hook up with this guy
01:40:50 'cause he was doing IVs.
01:40:52 My son, we went down to Miami for his 21st birthday.
01:40:56 So we needed IV people 'cause we're down there
01:40:58 doing whatever.
01:40:59 And he comes in with his team and he does my blood work.
01:41:03 When he walked me through my blood work,
01:41:05 guy had no medical history on me or my family or anything.
01:41:08 He told me everything that was wrong with me.
01:41:10 And he told me what was wrong with my parents
01:41:12 and he was dead on, right?
01:41:14 And it was a really trippy experience.
01:41:16 And he basically said,
01:41:18 "If you listen to me for the next 12 weeks,
01:41:21 "I'll change your whole life."
01:41:22 And I was like, I can do anything for 12 weeks.
01:41:25 So I went in, it didn't even take 12 weeks.
01:41:27 In four weeks, I started to feel different
01:41:29 and started to feel better.
01:41:30 And some of the things that were wrong with me
01:41:32 started to go away and all this other shit.
01:41:34 And then I'm so in on this right now.
01:41:37 This guy called me right now and said,
01:41:38 "Fucking squirt hot sauce in your eyes."
01:41:40 And I would fucking do it.
01:41:42 Yeah, this guy is a genius.
01:41:44 And I've seen him help, not just me,
01:41:46 but so many other people,
01:41:48 including people that are close to me.
01:41:49 So he is the real fucking deal.
01:41:51 And again, you go out on the internet
01:41:53 and you hear other people, whatever,
01:41:55 talking about this guy's a scam artist, he's a scammer.
01:41:58 Okay, then don't do it.
01:42:00 Nobody's fucking telling you to fucking do this.
01:42:02 Go see your doctor.
01:42:04 See how it fucking works out for you.
01:42:05 Good luck to you.
01:42:06 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:42:07 'Cause you had a video recently too.
01:42:09 Hey, listen, not a doctor.
01:42:11 I'm not telling you guys do this, do that, whatever.
01:42:13 But you did this water fast.
01:42:14 And now I'm fascinated from this water fast.
01:42:16 What was it, 86?
01:42:17 86 hours? - I did 86 hours,
01:42:19 but it's a 72 hour fast.
01:42:21 And basically it's all water.
01:42:23 So this is actually, this was done by doctors.
01:42:26 They've got studies that are done on this out of Boston,
01:42:29 where if you water fast for seven days,
01:42:33 it gives you an over 70% chance of not getting cancer,
01:42:37 Alzheimer's disease, and many, many other nasty shit.
01:42:41 They've done a study on animals and humans.
01:42:44 So I talked to Gary about it,
01:42:46 and Gary's like, "It's absolutely legit.
01:42:48 "But you don't have to do seven days.
01:42:51 "You can do 72 hours."
01:42:53 And he walked me through how to do it.
01:42:55 And what's crazy about it is when you do it,
01:42:57 you get absolutely fucking shredded.
01:43:00 You get so ripped.
01:43:01 - Oh, I saw the before and afters.
01:43:02 - That's not even what it's about.
01:43:04 - I thought about hitting it right before Thanksgiving.
01:43:05 - It's about the inside is what you're doing it for.
01:43:06 So there's all these philosophies.
01:43:08 And listen, again, I'm no doctor and whatever.
01:43:10 I just regurgitate what I'm told.
01:43:13 And this was from the doctors from Boston.
01:43:16 So it's like cold plunging.
01:43:18 When you go in and you cold plunge
01:43:19 and you put your body through adversity,
01:43:21 you're in 50 degree water for three minutes.
01:43:24 Your body starts to think it's dying
01:43:26 and your body fights back.
01:43:28 So your liver secretes this shock protein
01:43:31 that's incredible for your body,
01:43:32 inflammation, anti-age, all kinds of shit.
01:43:35 You do that every day,
01:43:36 you become absolutely addicted to it.
01:43:38 So when you do the water fast,
01:43:40 basically what happens is when you stop eating,
01:43:43 your body starts trying to defend itself.
01:43:45 Are we starving?
01:43:46 Are we this, are we that?
01:43:47 So it starts shedding all the bad dead cells in your body
01:43:51 and it starts generating new cells
01:43:53 and starts to fight, are we gonna starve?
01:43:56 Are we gonna this, that?
01:43:57 And that's how it fights cancer
01:43:59 and all these other nasty illnesses.
01:44:01 How does that not make sense?
01:44:03 And then when you talk about fasting
01:44:04 and you talk about where we come from
01:44:06 and how we've evolved, right?
01:44:08 Back in the day,
01:44:10 they would go out and hunt and kill something, right?
01:44:12 There was no refrigeration, there was no freezer.
01:44:15 You went back and you ate the food
01:44:16 and you didn't eat again until you hunted again, right?
01:44:21 So these people would essentially fast
01:44:23 until they hunted again and ate.
01:44:26 How does that not make sense either?
01:44:29 And when you're sitting on the couch on a podcast
01:44:33 and you're fucking talking about this,
01:44:34 you're like, Jesus Christ,
01:44:35 I don't know if I could not eat for 72 hours.
01:44:38 I mean, two years, Dana, two years ago,
01:44:41 would have said, that's fucking ridiculous.
01:44:42 Why would I not eat for three fucking days
01:44:44 unless I was on a deserted island or something, you know?
01:44:47 And then once you do it,
01:44:48 the level of clarity that you get, it's fucking,
01:44:52 and I hate even saying this in front of people,
01:44:56 let alone on a fucking podcast
01:44:58 'cause I sound like a fucking hippie,
01:45:00 but you get into this like zen state, euphoric,
01:45:05 like fucking, I don't know, man.
01:45:07 I don't know how to explain it.
01:45:08 You have to do it to believe it,
01:45:09 but fucking Erika did it too.
01:45:11 A lot of the people here now at UFC are doing the thing.
01:45:14 - Do you like it?
01:45:15 - Yeah, no, it's totally worth it.
01:45:16 Internally, externally.
01:45:18 - First 24 hours.
01:45:19 - Look at her, she just got off it too.
01:45:21 I mean, yeah.
01:45:22 So I don't wanna throw her personal shit out there,
01:45:25 but her weight, her whole life,
01:45:27 she's been at a certain weight.
01:45:29 When she did this thing, she broke the weight,
01:45:31 the lowest weight she's ever been as a woman.
01:45:34 - Yeah. - You know what I mean?
01:45:35 - Broke through the barrier.
01:45:37 - How was the first 24 hours?
01:45:39 - The first 24, it was good for me
01:45:40 because I do the intermittent fasting anyway.
01:45:44 So I've gone, like when I fly,
01:45:45 I do the whole Gary Brekka system when I fly now too.
01:45:48 So when you fly, like I went to Australia,
01:45:50 I went to Abu Dhabi, I just did it to New York.
01:45:52 You don't eat, you fast on the plane.
01:45:54 And there's these hydrogen bottle water things
01:45:58 that turn your water,
01:46:00 you know, your bottle water into hydrogen water.
01:46:02 And you just drink that the whole way.
01:46:04 And then when you land, you adjust to the time zone.
01:46:07 It's fucking incredible.
01:46:08 I've done it three times now on crazy flights.
01:46:10 And it absolutely--
01:46:11 - So you're not getting the jet lag?
01:46:14 - Mm-hmm, so you don't get jet lag, yeah.
01:46:16 - Is it like a machine that--
01:46:17 - Yeah, I've been doing it.
01:46:18 - You put it in there and--
01:46:19 - Now I just bought one that's a liter.
01:46:21 These ones were small ones, now I got the liter.
01:46:23 - Yeah, this is how fucking crazy into this shit I am.
01:46:25 - Yeah, it seems like, you were telling me about your routine
01:46:28 that you go through on a daily basis.
01:46:29 You do it like religiously.
01:46:30 - Religiously. - Religiously.
01:46:31 - And I feel like I'm fucking in my 20s again, man.
01:46:34 Swear to God.
01:46:34 - But you got the, you definitely got the energy.
01:46:36 We started this podcast off fun.
01:46:38 - With a banger. - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:46:39 - With an absolute banger.
01:46:40 - And you were with me half the night last night,
01:46:41 playing fucking cards.
01:46:42 And I was back in here this morning,
01:46:44 and I'll be back in here tomorrow.
01:46:45 - What time did you get up this morning?
01:46:47 - Well, I slept in late today.
01:46:49 I got up at 7.30, so I slept in late today.
01:46:52 - He walked out of the Red Rocks at like 2.33 o'clock.
01:46:55 And it's like non-negotiables.
01:46:57 What are your non-negotiables in the morning
01:46:58 for somebody who's listening, being like,
01:47:00 I love the energy, I love where he's at.
01:47:02 What are the little things I can do now,
01:47:04 just for me to kind of be better?
01:47:05 - I have the pad in my bed that alkalines your body.
01:47:09 I come straight here, I do the cold plunge, I do the steam,
01:47:12 I do the oxygen therapy, I do the red light,
01:47:14 and then I do my workout.
01:47:16 And on the days, 'cause I work out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
01:47:20 and then I don't work out again 'til Saturday,
01:47:22 and then every day is recovery.
01:47:24 So I do recovery every single day.
01:47:26 So on days that I work out and do recovery,
01:47:28 it's two hours of my morning.
01:47:30 And then on days that I just recover,
01:47:31 it's one hour of my morning.
01:47:33 - So if you're somebody listening to this podcast,
01:47:36 balling on a budget, what's like the number one thing to you
01:47:39 that you're like, if you wanna just change one thing
01:47:41 and do it consistently, what would that be?
01:47:42 - And that is the hard part,
01:47:43 and it's the thing that kills me,
01:47:44 is because I talk about this so much
01:47:47 because I want to share this with other people.
01:47:50 And I want people that are listening to know
01:47:53 when you're seeing that doctor
01:47:54 and the shit that you're telling them is wrong with you,
01:47:56 and they can't fix it and it never gets better,
01:47:59 but they just keep adding more and more pills
01:48:01 to your fucking pile that you're taking,
01:48:03 and it makes you feel even shittier, there is hope.
01:48:07 You don't have to feel this way.
01:48:08 And there's other guys out there like Gary Breka, right?
01:48:12 There's a guy, will you go grab that book
01:48:15 that's on my counter?
01:48:16 You know the one I'm talking about, right?
01:48:17 The books that I have?
01:48:19 Nicole has one, bring it in here.
01:48:20 'Cause people that can't afford Gary Breka,
01:48:23 I always tell people to watch Gary's podcast.
01:48:25 He's @garybreka on Instagram.
01:48:29 And there's another guy that Joe's had on
01:48:31 that everybody tells me this book is incredible.
01:48:34 And I buy this book and I give it to people.
01:48:36 And I do this because I want to share this with people.
01:48:40 But like the pad that I put in my bed,
01:48:42 Gary says you take your shoes off
01:48:43 and you walk in the grass.
01:48:44 - Grounding. - And it's the electricity,
01:48:46 exactly, from the earth.
01:48:48 And then if you don't have a cold plunge,
01:48:50 jump in your fucking pool when it's cold out
01:48:52 or put some ice in a bucket, in a barrel.
01:48:55 - Cold shower. - And cold plunge.
01:48:57 Cold shower, all these type of things that you can do.
01:49:00 The red light therapy, get out in the sun,
01:49:03 even when it's cold out.
01:49:04 Gary always talks about first sun in the morning
01:49:06 is the best.
01:49:07 And so there's alternatives like this.
01:49:09 And then there's this book.
01:49:10 This book is called Outlive.
01:49:14 I'm gonna give everybody in here one too.
01:49:15 I just bought 10 more.
01:49:17 I never met this guy, don't know this guy.
01:49:20 I make no money off this shit.
01:49:22 I make no money off any of this shit.
01:49:24 In fact, I pay Gary Breka.
01:49:26 Full boat, okay?
01:49:28 I'm telling you this and I'm saying this to you
01:49:32 because you can tell that I'm super passionate about it
01:49:35 and it's real and it works.
01:49:35 But this is called Outlive,
01:49:37 the Science of Art and the Art of Longevity.
01:49:40 Peter Atia, sorry if I'm butchering your name, buddy.
01:49:43 - Atia. - Peter Atia, MD.
01:49:46 Everybody tells me that this book is incredible.
01:49:48 And even Gary, that's the other thing
01:49:50 that I love about Gary Breka.
01:49:52 Gary Breka doesn't shit on other people and go,
01:49:54 "No, no, no, only my stuff will do this."
01:49:56 Gary's like, "This guy is brilliant.
01:49:58 "This guy's good and this guy knows
01:49:59 "exactly what he's talking about."
01:50:01 Gary is that type of guy.
01:50:03 So there you go, Outlive.
01:50:05 If you can't afford to do a lot of this stuff,
01:50:07 check out Gary's podcast and his stuff
01:50:09 and read Outlive by Peter Atia.
01:50:12 - I think this is a lot about Breka,
01:50:14 the way he doesn't,
01:50:15 the way he doesn't talk about other people.
01:50:16 I've worked with some people doing the blood work
01:50:18 and all that, trying to stay ahead of the chains
01:50:19 with football.
01:50:20 And it seemed like most of the people I worked with,
01:50:23 if I brought up somebody else,
01:50:24 they're like, "No, fuck that guy."
01:50:26 'Cause everyone at the end of the day
01:50:27 is trying to make money as well.
01:50:28 But I hear Breka on the Rogan podcast
01:50:30 and you think about the rivalries within the game
01:50:33 that people are living.
01:50:34 And he talks about Andrew Huberman.
01:50:35 He's like, "Guy's awesome.
01:50:36 "Guy understands his shit.
01:50:37 "He knows what he's doing."
01:50:39 So that probably says a lot about him.
01:50:39 - It's the first thing, honestly,
01:50:42 other than when this guy started walking
01:50:44 through the blood work,
01:50:45 the first thing I noticed about him,
01:50:47 other doctors, and he says, "Listen, it's not,
01:50:49 "listen, when doctors go,
01:50:51 "they don't study human biology the way that they used to
01:50:54 "and everything else.
01:50:55 "He works with doctors who work,
01:50:56 "everybody who has other opinions."
01:50:58 He's like, "No, that's it."
01:50:59 He doesn't shit on anybody, ever.
01:51:01 Like, "No, no, no, not that guy.
01:51:03 "My way is, Gary is the exact opposite."
01:51:05 It's one of the things that I extremely respect
01:51:08 about the guy.
01:51:09 So he speaks very highly of this guy.
01:51:12 - When you talk about Breka
01:51:14 and he gave you when you're essentially gonna die,
01:51:16 he said you had 10, 11 years to live.
01:51:18 - 10.4.
01:51:19 - What was your first thought when you heard that?
01:51:22 Was it still in your mind,
01:51:23 this is a guy's load of shit, you have to show me?
01:51:25 Or was that the wake up thing?
01:51:27 - No, it wasn't a wake up 'cause I wasn't a believer yet.
01:51:31 Make me believe, then I'll say,
01:51:32 "Oh shit, I got 10 years left?"
01:51:33 So then after I started doing his stuff,
01:51:35 you know what I believe?
01:51:37 I believe I didn't have that long.
01:51:38 I think Gary was being nice.
01:51:40 I don't think I had 10.4 years.
01:51:42 I was fucking bad.
01:51:43 And I think that there might be a lot of people out there
01:51:46 listening right now that when you're a man
01:51:50 and you got shit going on with you,
01:51:52 you fucking deal with it.
01:51:54 Boo hoo, my fucking legs are fucked up by this, that.
01:51:57 Try to talk to a doctor, they don't fix you.
01:51:58 It's just like, there's two things.
01:51:59 Number one, I'm a man, I gotta do what I gotta do.
01:52:01 I gotta get up every day and deal with life.
01:52:05 Number one.
01:52:05 And number two, maybe this is how fucking 50 feels.
01:52:08 I'm 50 now.
01:52:09 Is this how 50 feels?
01:52:10 It must be.
01:52:10 You know, that's what you start to think.
01:52:12 It is the furthest thing from the truth.
01:52:14 And now I tell Gary all the time,
01:52:16 I'm like, I feel fucking incredible.
01:52:18 I feel 20.
01:52:19 And he's like, no, you don't.
01:52:20 You don't feel incredible.
01:52:21 This is what normal feels like.
01:52:23 This isn't incredible.
01:52:24 This is normal.
01:52:25 This is what you're supposed to feel like.
01:52:27 And it's all fascinating.
01:52:28 He's a fascinating dude.
01:52:30 I hope that this dude lives to be a fucking 100
01:52:32 'cause a lot of people need him.
01:52:34 - Yeah, there's a book called "Lifespan"
01:52:36 where a guy talks about that,
01:52:37 like if you can do fasting and do basic things,
01:52:40 and you can start to feel that normal you're talking about,
01:52:42 like 100, 110 is like essentially the new 70
01:52:46 and like so on and so forth.
01:52:48 70 is the new 40 and all that.
01:52:49 - Well, if you look at the generation before us, right?
01:52:52 You got Clint Eastwood right now
01:52:53 that's fucking 93 years old, still doing it.
01:52:55 - He's a mayor of a town.
01:52:56 - Still doing, well, he was, he's not now.
01:52:58 - Yeah, he's not anymore.
01:52:59 - But still doing, still making movies,
01:53:01 still doing his thing.
01:53:02 You got Gene Hackman, still alive.
01:53:04 I don't know the state of Gene Hackman.
01:53:05 I haven't seen him in a while,
01:53:06 but he's in his fucking 90s.
01:53:07 He's still alive.
01:53:08 Bob Arum, I hate this motherfucker.
01:53:11 Bob Arum, right?
01:53:14 Let me tell you about Bob Arum.
01:53:15 You go back and research anything about Bob Arum
01:53:18 and me talking about him.
01:53:19 I can't stand him, whatever.
01:53:20 I have to give him the respect.
01:53:22 I'm at the Aces playoffs,
01:53:25 so the WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces,
01:53:29 I'm at the playoff game.
01:53:31 It's 8.30 at night.
01:53:33 Now you got to pull up to the stadium in the back
01:53:35 and you got to walk quite a ways.
01:53:36 I look over across the thing, it's 8.30.
01:53:39 Bob fucking Arum is sitting at the fucking 91, 92 years old
01:53:44 at the Aces game.
01:53:45 I'm like, you got to be shitting me, right?
01:53:47 A week later, he's in fucking Saudi Arabia
01:53:53 watching the fucking fights in Saudi Arabia.
01:53:55 He's 90 fucking two years old.
01:53:57 - He's ripping, he's moving around.
01:53:59 - You got to respect it.
01:54:01 - You got to respect it.
01:54:02 - Right? - Yeah, yeah.
01:54:03 - I'm saying these guys from this generation now
01:54:05 are already living into their 90s
01:54:07 and flying to fucking Saudi Arabia to watch fights.
01:54:10 - How long are you trying to live?
01:54:11 - I don't give a fuck how long I live.
01:54:13 I want a good quality of life.
01:54:16 I want a good quality of life.
01:54:18 You know what I want?
01:54:19 Hey, Dana's 86, he's still alive.
01:54:21 Fuck, I'm sitting in a wheelchair drooling on myself
01:54:23 in the fucking living room.
01:54:24 You know what I mean?
01:54:25 - 86 at the high rollers.
01:54:26 - I want to be in the high limit room
01:54:29 working on his $8.3 million
01:54:32 that we've won over the last fucking 20 years.
01:54:34 - Let's fucking go with that.
01:54:35 I can get on board with that.
01:54:37 - What's the lowest you've ever been down?
01:54:39 - The most? - Yeah.
01:54:39 - Hey, that's a quick turn.
01:54:41 - Well, we got back on the--
01:54:42 - Let's stay positive.
01:54:43 You know what's the worst you've ever felt in your life?
01:54:45 It's a good question though.
01:54:46 - Two million.
01:54:47 - Two? - Yeah.
01:54:49 - Did you bounce back from it
01:54:50 or that's what you walked away?
01:54:51 Maybe you came back from something lower.
01:54:53 - Is Hunter here?
01:54:53 Pull him in here if he's in here.
01:54:56 - I would love Hunter to be on this podcast, dude.
01:54:58 He's such a legend.
01:54:59 - Yeah, just stays behind the scenes.
01:55:01 - Behind the scenes.
01:55:02 - Makes his appearance every now and then.
01:55:04 - While Hunter's coming,
01:55:05 how much of a factor is Hunter in this business?
01:55:09 The way he operates and everything behind the scenes?
01:55:10 - So you wanna know something fucking crazy?
01:55:12 He was an intern here.
01:55:13 - No shit.
01:55:14 - Hunter was an intern? - He was an intern.
01:55:16 - In like what department?
01:55:18 - Legal and, yeah, legal.
01:55:20 He's a lawyer.
01:55:21 Yeah, so he interned here when he was in college,
01:55:25 was a young kid, and then he became a lawyer,
01:55:28 and then he ended up becoming my lawyer.
01:55:30 And then when we sold the company,
01:55:33 I had to bring, you know, I brought him in as a,
01:55:37 is he here?
01:55:37 He's not here?
01:55:40 - It's a bad luck.
01:55:40 It's a bad luck for Hunter.
01:55:41 - Damn, I really wanted him to.
01:55:42 - Yeah, yeah, shit midsies.
01:55:44 - Yeah, I'll give you the mic.
01:55:45 - We're talking about how, oh, he is here?
01:55:48 Oh, okay.
01:55:48 I was gonna say, we're talking about how great he is
01:55:49 and he's not at work today.
01:55:50 - Yeah.
01:55:51 (laughing)
01:55:53 - And then he ended up becoming my lawyer,
01:55:56 and when we sold the company,
01:55:58 I was sort of rebuilding the executive team in a few spots,
01:56:03 and I brought him in to be my right-hand man.
01:56:05 Yeah, and he's fucking awesome.
01:56:07 You know, he's great at what he does,
01:56:09 but he's one of my close friends now, too.
01:56:12 I'm very good friends.
01:56:13 - He seems like the perfect ying to your yang,
01:56:16 'cause you obviously--
01:56:17 - That's exactly what I was looking for.
01:56:18 - Yeah.
01:56:19 - What you can't have here is two of me.
01:56:21 You know what I mean?
01:56:22 So Lorenzo Fertitta and I balanced each other out.
01:56:27 I needed that other side of the scale to balance out
01:56:32 the way that I am.
01:56:33 - Right, 'cause you're a thrill seeker,
01:56:37 you're competitive, you're fighting the good fight.
01:56:39 Hunter's a lot that way, too, from what I've seen,
01:56:41 but he has more of a,
01:56:43 he seems more cautious in a lot of ways,
01:56:46 and the simplest fact is when we get to the blackjack table--
01:56:49 - Or maybe analytical, calculated.
01:56:50 - Yeah, more analytical, 'cause we'll sit there at the table
01:56:52 and, "Hey, you play?"
01:56:53 And I mean, I know he's well off and he does his thing.
01:56:55 He's like, "No."
01:56:56 He's like, "I'd rather own a casino than play the game."
01:56:59 And every time I play, he's like, "You're a fucking idiot.
01:57:01 "Like, what are you doing?"
01:57:02 And I kind of feel bad about myself for a little bit.
01:57:03 I'm like, "I'm gonna keep playing, though.
01:57:06 "We're gonna keep this thing rolling."
01:57:07 But he's an awesome cat.
01:57:09 I really enjoy him.
01:57:10 - The thing about owning a fucking casino is
01:57:12 you gotta go through a lot of fucking bullshit
01:57:14 to try to own a casino.
01:57:15 - You should, you should, that should be a thing.
01:57:17 - Fuck that shit, I want nothing to do with that bullshit.
01:57:21 That's like fucking running for office.
01:57:22 So basically, the government can come into your house
01:57:24 at any point in time, go through your safe,
01:57:27 go through your phone,
01:57:29 go through all your personal fucking records,
01:57:31 all this shit.
01:57:33 What people don't realize is the gaming industry
01:57:35 is incredibly regulated by the government.
01:57:38 You know what I mean?
01:57:39 So when you go in there,
01:57:41 like some nights when you're in there,
01:57:42 you would feel like, I always talk about this.
01:57:44 Back in the wild, wild West,
01:57:46 you have played enough now to see that sometimes
01:57:50 when these fucking cards flip,
01:57:52 you're like, "How is this even fucking numerically possible
01:57:56 "that this could fucking happen this way?"
01:57:58 So think back in the cowboy days
01:58:00 when guys were really fucking stupid
01:58:02 and had no education, hotheaded,
01:58:03 everybody carried fucking guns.
01:58:05 Imagine being a dealer or a casino owner back in those days
01:58:09 and you see these cards flipping the way that,
01:58:11 people had to die back then.
01:58:12 There's no way that guys didn't pull their fucking
01:58:15 six-shoes out and light up a fucking dealer
01:58:17 'cause they thought they were cheating.
01:58:19 It's impossible.
01:58:20 But the reality is when you play these games
01:58:22 and the way these cards flip,
01:58:23 it is the most regulated shit in this country.
01:58:27 All these games are square and on the up and up
01:58:29 and all the cameras and the government
01:58:32 is paying attention to everything.
01:58:34 It's very, very regulated.
01:58:35 So to get a license in gaming, you gotta go through hell.
01:58:39 - That's not worth your time.
01:58:41 - Yeah, it's fucked up.
01:58:42 - You're more build brands, sell and move on.
01:58:44 - I'm the guy on the other side of the table.
01:58:46 I would rather play against you.
01:58:48 It's just my thing.
01:58:49 It's what I love to do.
01:58:49 And you have people like Hunter and many other people like,
01:58:54 "Why the fuck does this guy, he doesn't need to get away?"
01:58:57 'Cause I like it.
01:58:58 That's fucking why.
01:58:58 - Oh shit, clip that for Hunter.
01:58:59 - None of your fucking business other than I like it.
01:59:02 It's what I like to do every night, exactly.
01:59:05 It's what I like to do.
01:59:06 - When's the last time you didn't bet a max bet
01:59:08 in blackjack?
01:59:09 - It doesn't exist.
01:59:12 - That's one of his non-negotiables.
01:59:13 - That's a non-negotiable.
01:59:14 - Oh, he counts cards, he does this, he does that.
01:59:17 No, I bet the same fucking amount every hand.
01:59:20 I bet the max every hand.
01:59:22 - Yeah, you don't just bet the max every hand.
01:59:23 You're also a psychopath, the way I was watching you.
01:59:26 'Cause essentially when you get down
01:59:27 the way you were last night,
01:59:28 you have to rely on the doubles and the splits
01:59:30 to get you back on track.
01:59:31 - 100%.
01:59:32 - And there was a couple of times,
01:59:34 we're looking at a pair of twos versus a king,
01:59:35 you're like, "Fuck it."
01:59:36 And then classic line, "Let's gamble."
01:59:38 And then you're doubling whatever going after it.
01:59:40 And it obviously worked in your favor.
01:59:42 Is it just a feel thing now?
01:59:43 - Yeah, it's just you have to mix it up.
01:59:45 When we're in this fucking loop that we were in last night,
01:59:49 was it true or was it not true
01:59:52 that I would tell you what was gonna happen--
01:59:55 - That's what we were just talking about.
01:59:56 - Before it fucking happened.
01:59:57 I told you what was gonna happen.
01:59:58 So, yes, for the most part you play by the book,
02:00:03 but overall you play by your gut.
02:00:06 And there's times when you have to do shit
02:00:08 that doesn't make sense because nothing is making sense.
02:00:11 When you have the amount of 20s that we had last night
02:00:15 and we won none of them.
02:00:16 When you have the amount of double downs that we had
02:00:19 and we won none of them.
02:00:21 If I had a 14, I was absolutely positively
02:00:24 getting the fucking 10.
02:00:26 If I had an 11, we were absolutely getting the four.
02:00:29 Right, I mean all fucking night.
02:00:30 So when that kind of goofy shit is happening over and over,
02:00:33 at fucking one point, I don't know if you remember this,
02:00:36 but fucking, what's his name?
02:00:39 Orlando played, right?
02:00:44 John Orlando played, he got fucking murdered.
02:00:47 Then we started playing.
02:00:48 We got the same fucking hands that Orlando got.
02:00:52 Same cards, same up against the fucking deal.
02:00:54 Everything was exactly the same.
02:00:56 Like we were fucking caught in the matrix
02:00:58 and it was a fucking glitch in the matrix.
02:01:00 It was fucking crazy.
02:01:01 - It was wild.
02:01:02 He started playing and sometimes you play
02:01:04 where you just have the cards down.
02:01:05 I don't know if you just enjoy it more
02:01:06 than the thrill of everybody else watching
02:01:08 and no one really knows what's going on.
02:01:09 And I was sitting right next to him
02:01:11 so I could see the cards and he'd have six,
02:01:14 like a two and a four.
02:01:15 And the dealer would be showing a four
02:01:16 and he would just stay.
02:01:17 No hit, no rhyme or reason.
02:01:20 And then the dealer would bust.
02:01:21 And it was the crazy, the goofy shit you're talking about.
02:01:23 - 'Cause you're taking that 10 all of a sudden.
02:01:27 - Dead on, you're fucking absolute.
02:01:28 So when you're in this fucking loop
02:01:29 when this shit's going on, I have the six.
02:01:31 - He gets the crazy shit, he loves the game.
02:01:33 - Every fucking time you hit that six, right?
02:01:35 It's a four, two, right?
02:01:37 You hit it, it's the fucking 10.
02:01:41 So most of the time when shit's going goofy,
02:01:44 I will stay on the six.
02:01:45 I will stay on hands like that.
02:01:47 And the dealer normally,
02:01:49 how many times did you see it last night?
02:01:52 It was probably exactly five or six.
02:01:53 And I think I lost one.
02:01:55 - And the ones you won on just staying on six,
02:01:59 it was kind of like a, look at this fucking move.
02:02:00 And the one you lost, you kind of flip it over.
02:02:02 - But even the dealers will flip it over and go, what?
02:02:04 - Yeah, yeah.
02:02:05 - Dan is so in the moment,
02:02:07 he's doing his mannerisms at the table too
02:02:09 with the card swipe and everything else.
02:02:11 - In the fight.
02:02:12 And the thing that,
02:02:14 here's what blows me away about you,
02:02:16 is we've had conversations about people
02:02:19 when other situations have happened.
02:02:21 And ESPNs and these other companies are calling you,
02:02:23 saying we want this guy out.
02:02:24 And you're like, all right, then we're out.
02:02:26 That type of, how did you become an individual?
02:02:29 Or have you always been like this?
02:02:30 Where you're choosing people over business?
02:02:32 Because you meet people with money
02:02:34 and there's a level of narcissism or something
02:02:38 where they are solely focused on their success
02:02:41 that they don't care about other people's success.
02:02:43 And it seems like you are the exact opposite.
02:02:44 I've been at the table with you
02:02:46 where you've handed me money.
02:02:47 Just last night's a perfect example.
02:02:48 Kyle from the Milk Boys, he's down 50.
02:02:50 You're fucking around, you're on a hot streak.
02:02:52 You're like, hey, give me 30,
02:02:53 bing, bang, boom, here, here's 30.
02:02:54 And you kind of do that.
02:02:56 What does that come from?
02:02:57 Has that always been you?
02:02:58 Or is it because you're the position you're in now
02:02:59 and you understand people?
02:03:00 - I don't ever choose money over people, ever, ever.
02:03:05 I don't know how to explain it,
02:03:10 but I will never choose.
02:03:11 It's just like this business.
02:03:14 The best example I can give you is going through COVID,
02:03:16 is no matter what goes on,
02:03:18 we're gonna go through a lot of hard times.
02:03:20 We went through the crash in '08 and '09.
02:03:24 There's been other things that have happened
02:03:26 in our business going up.
02:03:27 One year we had every fucking main event fall out,
02:03:31 or co-main event, with injuries.
02:03:33 And it was a rough pay-per-view year.
02:03:35 And we've had times back in the day
02:03:37 when we didn't know if we were gonna break covenants
02:03:39 and shit like that.
02:03:41 We never laid our people off.
02:03:42 I will fucking, I look at every day
02:03:46 when I get up out of bed and I go to work,
02:03:48 I'm going to war.
02:03:49 There's people coming to fucking take shots at us
02:03:52 and try to take us down,
02:03:53 whether it's the fucking media
02:03:55 or these people or those people.
02:03:56 And all these people that are in this building
02:03:59 strap up and go to battle with me every day.
02:04:01 So the UFC is this fucking battleship, right?
02:04:05 And we're cruising and we're fighting the fight every day.
02:04:07 Some people have been here for 10, 15, 20 years, right?
02:04:12 And COVID was the perfect example
02:04:15 because we've never found,
02:04:18 we've never been through a time
02:04:19 that was as scary as COVID.
02:04:21 Are we going to die?
02:04:22 Is the whole world going to collapse?
02:04:24 Is this going to happen?
02:04:25 Is that going to happen?
02:04:26 Now, I'm the leader in this organization, right?
02:04:31 I am the guy who is,
02:04:33 my job description is to run the business
02:04:38 through the good, the bad, the ugly, all this shit.
02:04:40 But I take care of my people.
02:04:43 My people depend on a paycheck every week for me.
02:04:46 So the way that I am, what most businesses will do,
02:04:49 you saw a lot through COVID,
02:04:51 you see a lot when they're going through hard times,
02:04:54 the way that you make it a lot easier
02:04:57 is you start fucking getting rid of people.
02:04:59 So you put bullets on all these people.
02:05:01 And then your costs go down
02:05:04 and you manage the business, you do whatever.
02:05:06 This is a fucking battleship.
02:05:08 And we're either all going down together
02:05:12 or we're not going down at all.
02:05:13 That's just the way that I'm fucking wired
02:05:15 and the way that I look at it.
02:05:16 And when I look at my employees,
02:05:19 I expect a lot from them, right?
02:05:22 This place is a fucking grind house.
02:05:26 It's a hamster wheel.
02:05:27 Every fucking Saturday, we're putting on a fight.
02:05:30 As soon as that fight is over,
02:05:31 we start promoting the next fight on Monday, right?
02:05:34 So think about this, and this is the way that I look at it.
02:05:37 How many games have they missed that their kids played?
02:05:42 How many performances have they missed
02:05:44 that their kids performed in at school?
02:05:46 How many hours did they miss playing with their fucking kids
02:05:49 and all this kind of shit?
02:05:50 These are the things that I think about.
02:05:52 And we hit some hard times, we hit a rocky road,
02:05:56 and that's it.
02:05:58 You're just a fucking number.
02:06:00 You're a fucking number to the bottom line
02:06:04 'cause that's basically what these companies do.
02:06:06 They go down and they look at the people.
02:06:08 And if you make the most money,
02:06:09 you're probably the one that's in the most risk, right?
02:06:12 Or there's multiple people that do your job or whatever.
02:06:16 And what goes out the window is all the shit
02:06:19 that you've done for the company, right?
02:06:21 All goes out right out the fucking window.
02:06:24 Fuck that shit, not with me.
02:06:26 I don't forget, I don't ever forget.
02:06:28 I always remember who was here and who did what.
02:06:31 And then the people that I don't even know what they did,
02:06:35 I know what they did.
02:06:36 You know what I mean?
02:06:37 'Cause I know what we do here.
02:06:38 And I will never pick money over people, ever.
02:06:42 - I love that.
02:06:43 Let's talk about one of your more recent battles,
02:06:46 sponsorship, Bud Light.
02:06:48 Obviously you had to stand in the batter's box.
02:06:50 I was messaging you about that on how you handle yourself,
02:06:54 when people are coming after you,
02:06:55 when you make a decision like that.
02:06:57 Can you talk about that recent battle
02:07:00 with sponsorship with Bud Light?
02:07:00 Obviously you talked about it on Theo's podcast,
02:07:02 which I thought was awesome.
02:07:03 - Thank you.
02:07:05 - But yeah, share some light.
02:07:06 I would love to know what goes on
02:07:08 when you're making that deal,
02:07:11 especially when there's probably other suitors in there.
02:07:14 People call you a sellout and everything else.
02:07:15 - Yeah.
02:07:17 That's part of the gig too.
02:07:18 When you make tough decisions
02:07:20 and you make decisions that people don't know all the...
02:07:23 What you have to understand is,
02:07:25 it's just like when we were talking about New Year's Eve.
02:07:27 If you know who I am and understand the way that I operate,
02:07:31 and especially at this point in my life and my age,
02:07:35 nothing is about money anymore.
02:07:38 I've made money.
02:07:39 Everybody thought I was gonna retire in 2016.
02:07:41 I've made money.
02:07:42 I'm good.
02:07:43 Like going through COVID,
02:07:45 I got a really nice fucking house.
02:07:48 Really nice.
02:07:49 I could have fucking camped out for five or six years,
02:07:51 however long COVID,
02:07:52 but that wouldn't have done any good
02:07:54 for this fucking company.
02:07:55 It wouldn't have done any good for my employees,
02:07:57 and it definitely wouldn't have been good for the fighters.
02:07:59 So we didn't.
02:08:01 We battled fucking through it.
02:08:02 So if I have made the decision
02:08:06 to go with Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light,
02:08:08 there's a damn good fucking reason.
02:08:10 I know the inner workings of the beer business
02:08:12 better than any of the other fucking these guys out,
02:08:14 these fans and all this shit.
02:08:16 And basically, they went after Anheuser-Busch
02:08:18 for being woke and doing what they did.
02:08:21 I think that, you know,
02:08:22 obviously I've laid out all the reasons
02:08:25 on why I'm way more aligned with Anheuser-Busch
02:08:28 than any other beer company out there.
02:08:29 And for those of you that haven't heard,
02:08:32 65,000 Americans are employed by Anheuser-Busch.
02:08:36 65,000 Americans, and a lot of them are vets.
02:08:40 That alone should be enough reason
02:08:43 for you to not try to put a bullet
02:08:45 in Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch, number one.
02:08:47 Number two, they spend almost a billion dollars a year
02:08:50 with US farmers, okay?
02:08:52 That should be a fucking reason you do it.
02:08:54 All the stuff that they do for first responders and vets,
02:08:58 and $44 million spent over the last however many years
02:09:02 for their families.
02:09:03 Every time there's a natural disaster in America,
02:09:06 they shut down the plant
02:09:08 and turn it into a bottled water facility.
02:09:10 And they ship out, and they've done something crazy,
02:09:12 like 100 million bottles of bottled water
02:09:15 that they've sent out to Americans in need.
02:09:18 Give me a fucking break, okay?
02:09:20 I am way more aligned with Anheuser-Busch,
02:09:22 so that's why I did that deal with them.
02:09:24 Now, you're gonna have people who come,
02:09:27 and you have these guys that, you know,
02:09:30 consider themselves patriots,
02:09:32 who love this country and everything else.
02:09:34 Let me just tell you this.
02:09:35 If you consider yourself a patriot,
02:09:38 you should be drinking fucking barrels of Bud Light.
02:09:42 Believe me when I tell you.
02:09:44 All these other beer companies out there,
02:09:46 woke is what you're worried about.
02:09:50 They're the wokest of the woke.
02:09:52 You just haven't fucking seen it or heard about it.
02:09:54 So Anheuser-Busch is my partner for the next six years,
02:09:59 and I can't fucking wait, and I'm looking forward to it.
02:10:02 - Was anybody close to Anheuser-Busch?
02:10:04 Like, you know, obviously, when you look at
02:10:06 whatever gets reported on their sales,
02:10:07 dropping, everything else,
02:10:09 a company like Modelo comes to the top,
02:10:10 like is a beer brand like a Modelo
02:10:12 trying to come to the table and sponsor up with UFC?
02:10:15 - Yeah, well, people can say that it's, you know,
02:10:17 "Oh, it's about money."
02:10:17 I was gonna get money no matter what.
02:10:20 Money was coming, you know what I mean?
02:10:22 And trust me, Anheuser-Busch didn't pay me
02:10:25 some fucking crazy number that maybe said,
02:10:27 "You know what?
02:10:28 "I'm gonna throw every fucking thing that I'm about,
02:10:31 "all of the values that I believe in, right out the window,
02:10:34 "because I'm gonna take this money."
02:10:35 There's stories that I could tell you, but I won't.
02:10:40 There isn't any fucking amount of money
02:10:42 that I will take to not...
02:10:45 When you're getting into a sponsorship deal,
02:10:47 you're getting into a relationship.
02:10:49 Who wants to be in a bad relationship?
02:10:51 Nobody, whether it's with a woman, it's with your family,
02:10:55 it's with business partners, or it's a fucking sponsor.
02:10:58 You wanna be with people that you are aligned with,
02:11:01 that the purpose of a sponsorship is,
02:11:06 you pay me money, and the money that you pay me,
02:11:10 we work together to build both of our businesses
02:11:13 and make them bigger and better.
02:11:15 If you are not aligned on most things,
02:11:18 you are not gonna have that kind of a relationship,
02:11:20 and you are not gonna have fun,
02:11:22 and you're gonna be begging
02:11:25 to fucking get out of that relationship.
02:11:27 So you should only do deals
02:11:30 with people that you are aligned with.
02:11:32 - What do you say to people that,
02:11:34 like the first, you said last night,
02:11:37 Power Slap has more sponsors this year
02:11:39 than UFC did in the first seven years.
02:11:41 When you're not in the position you are now,
02:11:44 and you're fighting a good fight, establishing the UFC,
02:11:47 were you, did you still have that same mindset?
02:11:49 - Well, that's- - Or was there not enough leeway?
02:11:50 - Well, no, that's how you learn.
02:11:52 - Yeah, that's a good point.
02:11:53 - Again, like I was talking about my employees
02:11:56 in COVID or whatever, you don't know who's who or what's what.
02:11:58 You can be in the best relationship ever, right?
02:12:01 I could say, "Taylor's my fucking good friend," right?
02:12:05 Then the shit hits the fan, and I really need Taylor.
02:12:08 Is Taylor there for me?
02:12:10 - Oh, I'm there. - Probably not.
02:12:11 (all laughing)
02:12:13 - Oh, I'm there, brother.
02:12:14 - Tell me, everybody in this room
02:12:16 hasn't been in that position
02:12:17 where you found out who somebody really was
02:12:20 when you really needed 'em,
02:12:21 or when you hit rough times or scary times
02:12:24 like COVID and shit like this.
02:12:27 That's when you find out who's who.
02:12:30 And then as you go on, you live and learn.
02:12:34 And we've had some good sponsors,
02:12:38 and we've had some bad sponsors.
02:12:39 What I don't like is when you have a company
02:12:43 or a group of people, it could be a network,
02:12:46 it could be anybody, that starts coming in
02:12:48 and telling you what to do with your fucking business.
02:12:51 You need to do this, and you need to do that,
02:12:54 or we're gonna pull our sponsorship.
02:12:55 Well, you can pull your sponsorship,
02:12:57 and you can take every fucking dollar of your money
02:12:59 and roll it up into a little ball,
02:13:01 and you can shove it right up your fucking ass.
02:13:03 That's what you can do.
02:13:06 - Hey, it's like one big motivational video
02:13:07 with this guy. - I know.
02:13:08 It's just like we're like locking eyes on him,
02:13:09 just like, "Fuck, I'm gonna get denied."
02:13:11 - Hell yes, hell yes.
02:13:12 You're like the Goggins video right now.
02:13:13 - So imagine you're in the podcast business, right?
02:13:17 And you have a guest, and Peloton calls you.
02:13:22 This guy, Robert Kennedy Jr., is a Democrat.
02:13:27 And this is America.
02:13:30 Robert Kennedy Jr. has, and I've never met
02:13:34 Robert Kennedy Jr., just for the record.
02:13:35 I mean, it sounds like I'm defending him
02:13:36 like I'm talking about a close little friend of mine
02:13:39 like Trump, who I've known for fucking many years,
02:13:42 and he's one of my very good friends.
02:13:43 I don't know Robert Kennedy Jr.
02:13:45 I've seen his videos.
02:13:47 What about Robert Kennedy Jr.
02:13:51 would make your pompous, arrogant, fucking ass
02:13:55 pick up a phone-- - Bike riding ass.
02:13:56 - And tell somebody else, you better not,
02:14:00 like this guy's fucking Hitler,
02:14:02 or some horrible fucking human being
02:14:05 that walks the face of the earth.
02:14:06 He's a fucking Kennedy.
02:14:07 He's a smart guy.
02:14:08 He has his own beliefs and his values.
02:14:11 His podcast has to come down.
02:14:14 You sell stationary bikes for a fucking living.
02:14:17 You are a fucking clown.
02:14:21 There is something mentally fucking unstable about you
02:14:24 that you have the balls to pick up the phone
02:14:27 and call somebody and tell them to take another person,
02:14:30 another fucking guy's fucking podcast down.
02:14:33 Really wrap your head around that.
02:14:37 Do you know what a fucking absolute pompous, arrogant,
02:14:41 I don't even have the rest of the words for this.
02:14:46 (laughing)
02:14:47 - Like let this man cook.
02:14:48 - Yeah, he's just kind of sitting there like, yeah.
02:14:50 It's fucking mind boggling to me
02:14:52 that you could be that arrogant.
02:14:54 - Yeah, and you gotta love it too,
02:14:56 like in this age, like how, not power has shifted,
02:15:01 but this power has been like, you know,
02:15:03 created like into the people,
02:15:05 into the ones like promoting the product.
02:15:07 Like you hear something like that
02:15:08 and you just make a decision, get him out of the facility.
02:15:11 Theo's able to talk about it
02:15:12 because he doesn't feel like he's buttoned in some contract.
02:15:15 I know he went through like a contrasting dispute
02:15:17 with a podcast one network, I believe,
02:15:19 but he's in a spot where he's talking about it
02:15:21 and people are getting held accountable more so publicly
02:15:24 because they're trying to do this backdoor.
02:15:25 Hey, you gotta take this down.
02:15:26 You gotta take this down.
02:15:27 It's like, no, fuck you, dude.
02:15:28 - Right, and I don't like cancel culture.
02:15:31 And I'm not saying, you know,
02:15:32 let's boycott Peloton or whatever.
02:15:34 I know there's plenty of people
02:15:36 that like to ride Pelotons or whatever.
02:15:39 My thing is this, is that you have to put it in perspective
02:15:43 and think about Robert Kennedy Jr.,
02:15:46 Theo Vaughn does the podcast.
02:15:48 A guy who sells stationary bikes,
02:15:51 who the fuck do you think you are?
02:15:54 That you would pick up the phone and fucking call
02:15:59 and tell him to take his fucking podcast down.
02:16:02 - It's wild.
02:16:03 - It's fucking insane.
02:16:05 But it just shows you the mindset
02:16:07 of what a fucking weirdo this guy actually really is.
02:16:10 I just--
02:16:13 - Peloton and UFC are dead.
02:16:14 - Done.
02:16:15 - Well, Peloton and UFC was never a thing anyway,
02:16:17 so it's not like this guy needs to--
02:16:18 - There are probably some bikes ripping around.
02:16:20 - We only had two and they were in my fucking gym
02:16:22 and they're gone.
02:16:23 We ripped them out of it.
02:16:23 They're gone, they ripped them out
02:16:24 right after the fucking podcast.
02:16:25 - So you used to ride Peloton before Theo Vaughn.
02:16:28 - So we're doing a deal now with--
02:16:28 - Before Gary Breka.
02:16:30 - Yeah, yeah, too much EMF.
02:16:31 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:16:32 - It's Ella.
02:16:33 - Echelons.
02:16:35 So Echelons fucking called me up.
02:16:37 These guys are out of fucking Tennessee.
02:16:40 - Shout out Tennessee.
02:16:40 - Yep, and Echelons is now gonna replace the bikes in there
02:16:45 and they're gonna do a deal with Theo Vaughn.
02:16:48 - That's fucking awesome.
02:16:49 - That is awesome.
02:16:50 - You said you kind of brokered that deal, right?
02:16:51 - Yeah, they called me here.
02:16:53 I had every fucking bike company on earth
02:16:54 calling me the next day.
02:16:56 But these guys are from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
02:17:00 Guy's a fucking solid guy.
02:17:02 Talked to him on the phone.
02:17:03 And yeah, they're gonna do a deal with Theo
02:17:07 and he can have fucking Robert Kennedy Jr.
02:17:10 and every other Kennedy and anybody else
02:17:12 in his fucking podcast that he wants to
02:17:14 because this is America.
02:17:15 You can do whatever the fuck you wanna do
02:17:16 when you own your own fucking show on the internet.
02:17:20 - Hell yes.
02:17:21 I feel like after this show comes out,
02:17:23 there's gonna be so many more people
02:17:25 just enlist in the army.
02:17:26 Like you're making it,
02:17:28 you're bringing patriotism back, brother.
02:17:30 You're like Toby Keith when "Courtesy of the Red, White,
02:17:32 and Blue" came out after 9/11.
02:17:34 That's you right now.
02:17:35 You're killing it.
02:17:36 - But am I wrong?
02:17:37 Am I off base?
02:17:39 Am I nuts here?
02:17:39 - No, the proud boy in me is going a little nuts
02:17:41 inside right now.
02:17:42 I'm getting fired up.
02:17:43 You got me going a little bit
02:17:44 because it's land of free, brother.
02:17:47 Like you're able,
02:17:47 that's why people come here
02:17:49 is to establish their dream and keep it going.
02:17:51 And for somebody, stationary bike guy,
02:17:53 wants to come and tell you what to do
02:17:54 about your own business.
02:17:55 It's a crazy concept that people have
02:17:59 for whatever reason,
02:17:59 have this like arrogance to believe
02:18:01 that they can just tell you what to do
02:18:02 with whatever you want.
02:18:03 - 100%.
02:18:04 - Hey, 'cause I've given you money for this show.
02:18:06 You're not allowed to have X, Y, and Z on your show.
02:18:07 - 100%.
02:18:08 You can't have your own fucking opinion,
02:18:10 your own beliefs, your own whatever.
02:18:13 So I'm gonna take the money away.
02:18:14 So what they try to do is they try to create this,
02:18:17 this fear and this image.
02:18:19 Oh my God, stationary bike guy
02:18:22 fucking pulled his money away.
02:18:24 So the other companies go,
02:18:25 "Should we be scared too?
02:18:26 Should we pull our money away?"
02:18:28 Fuck you.
02:18:29 You know what I mean?
02:18:31 It's disgusting.
02:18:31 It's fucking gross.
02:18:33 And it just,
02:18:34 it's so hard for me to wrap my brain around
02:18:38 how fucking arrogant one human being can be
02:18:41 and think that he, you know.
02:18:44 - Right, can make a call like that.
02:18:46 Like off the whole sponsorship and everything else
02:18:48 with Peloton and the Bud Light stuff,
02:18:50 it's like the Peloton thing happens.
02:18:51 You have a decision.
02:18:53 You're like, "Oh, burn the boats.
02:18:54 Like get Peloton out, yada, yada, yada."
02:18:57 I'm curious like what happens in your mind
02:19:00 when you're trying to say,
02:19:01 because you also have to stay fluid
02:19:03 in some of these relationships.
02:19:04 Like when something changes and happens,
02:19:06 like you weren't with Bud Light for a while,
02:19:08 the stuff goes down with the cans and everything else.
02:19:11 Like kind of keeping that, you know,
02:19:13 still kind of being there for if a deal does come back to you.
02:19:16 Does that make sense?
02:19:18 It's like, you don't bite your tongue on the Peloton stuff.
02:19:21 A lot of people would assume that the people
02:19:23 who you're aligned with, the way they go after Bud Light,
02:19:25 when the Dillon can comes out and everything else,
02:19:27 I don't know if you had a statement on it.
02:19:30 I have no clue.
02:19:31 I'd have to go back and look it up
02:19:32 to make this like a better question.
02:19:33 - Me? - Yeah.
02:19:34 - No, I had nothing to say about it.
02:19:35 - Right, but when the Bud Light deal comes back around,
02:19:38 like how important is it to stay fluid thinking like,
02:19:41 you know, keeping a relationship open, I guess.
02:19:43 - Listen, going into that,
02:19:45 I knew exactly what we would have to face
02:19:50 doing a deal with Bud Light.
02:19:52 But it's more about, like I told you guys,
02:19:55 I'll look at all the good things they've done.
02:19:59 You know, if you look at them as a whole, as a company,
02:20:02 Anheuser-Busch is a bad,
02:20:04 they've had some of the greatest ads
02:20:06 in the history of the world.
02:20:06 I grew up, right, I was a big boxing guy.
02:20:10 Every fucking thing I ever remembered was Budweiser.
02:20:12 Budweiser, the king of beers.
02:20:14 Every fucking fight had their, you know,
02:20:17 their backing, their logos were fucking everywhere.
02:20:19 You grew up on Budweiser, the king of beers.
02:20:22 - The three frogs. - You know, it's very--
02:20:23 - Yeah, the three frogs, Clydesdale,
02:20:25 in the foggy morning going through a meadow.
02:20:27 - Yeah. - Wondering,
02:20:28 hey, where are these horses headed?
02:20:29 And you know exactly where they're headed.
02:20:30 - So we as Americans, it's very nostalgic for us,
02:20:33 that brand.
02:20:34 And if you dive deeper into the company
02:20:36 and the heart and soul of the company
02:20:39 and what they are, who they are, and what they stand for,
02:20:43 I am way more aligned with them
02:20:45 than I am with any other beer company.
02:20:47 That, right now.
02:20:48 Six years from now, could be a different story.
02:20:51 But for the next six years, I am fucking excited
02:20:55 and I cannot wait to be in business
02:20:57 with Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light, so.
02:21:00 - I think it was obviously a great move on their part.
02:21:02 'Cause like I've expressed to you,
02:21:04 it's just impressive to kind of see all the business moves.
02:21:07 Obviously, I've followed you closer
02:21:08 since we've had you on since the Super Bowl.
02:21:10 And so I'm always fascinated by,
02:21:12 oh man, I wonder how that's working kind of behind the scenes
02:21:14 'cause you do such a great job
02:21:15 and that's probably why Bud Light,
02:21:17 like as they're getting back into the fold
02:21:20 and trying to align themselves
02:21:21 and brand themselves through people like yourselves,
02:21:23 who stand in the batter's box and like,
02:21:25 yeah, I don't, look, I'm not a fucking salad.
02:21:27 I'm pumped for these reasons,
02:21:29 core values, leaning on all that stuff.
02:21:30 So obviously a very savvy move on Bud Light's part,
02:21:33 but I'm just super fascinated by how your brain works,
02:21:37 especially like you identify Power Slap,
02:21:38 here's how we're gonna blow this thing up.
02:21:40 Now you're looking at entertainment businesses
02:21:42 with Nitro Circus and Ridiculousness
02:21:44 and all these things that kind of capture that,
02:21:47 where attention can go or you see the potential in it.
02:21:50 So I'm just always like, I'm always impressed
02:21:52 and fascinated by how your brain works
02:21:54 because people, now that we have this relationship with you,
02:21:57 people are always curious like,
02:21:57 yo, what's Dana like, what's this and that?
02:21:59 It's like, yo, he, I mean, literally what you see is him.
02:22:02 And so I'm always curious, like what's going on,
02:22:05 behind that skull of yours, I guess.
02:22:08 (laughing)
02:22:09 - I appreciate it, but I'm going down to Texas
02:22:12 for Thanksgiving and as soon as Thanksgiving's over,
02:22:16 I'm flying up to St. Louis and I'm going out
02:22:18 to Anheuser-Busch and I'm meeting all the people
02:22:21 and meeting the distributors and all the people
02:22:24 that make that machine work.
02:22:28 And I'm so like into this whole fucking relationship
02:22:32 right now that I'm excited to go and I can't wait,
02:22:34 I can't wait to go do this and meet all the people
02:22:37 that work there and I'm really into this,
02:22:39 if you can't tell.
02:22:40 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:22:41 Why wouldn't you want to be part of an ownership group
02:22:43 or own a team?
02:22:44 - First of all, when you look at a lot of these teams,
02:22:48 there's no money in it until they sell.
02:22:50 You know what I mean?
02:22:51 It's more of a, a lot of these teams
02:22:53 are about rich billionaires.
02:22:56 It's more of a status than it is a fun,
02:23:00 profitable business to run.
02:23:01 I like growing shit.
02:23:02 I like taking something from nothing
02:23:04 and building it into something.
02:23:06 I like the journey.
02:23:08 There's not really, and all these teams
02:23:10 are established out there, whether it's the NBA,
02:23:13 the NHL, the NFL, Major League Baseball,
02:23:17 it's about winning championships.
02:23:20 You have these multi-billionaires who have these teams
02:23:24 and every year it's about winning championships.
02:23:26 I'm more about building the businesses
02:23:29 and building the brands.
02:23:31 Like I want to take thrill one from zero to fucking,
02:23:36 who knows what's possible.
02:23:37 That's the type of stuff that I love to do.
02:23:39 - When you're a--
02:23:41 - Does that make sense?
02:23:42 - Yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah.
02:23:43 I just think it'd be awesome.
02:23:44 - It's just a different game you don't want to play.
02:23:47 - 'Cause I think it'd be awesome if you like,
02:23:48 you know, Dana, he owns the Raiders.
02:23:50 - He owns the Raiders.
02:23:52 - And you're like trying to go win a championship
02:23:53 or something like that.
02:23:54 - Dana owns Power Slap.
02:23:55 (laughing)
02:23:57 - Half time show, Power Slap, half time show.
02:23:59 - Exactly.
02:24:00 - When you're getting to the status you've gotten to
02:24:04 and you're navigating these waters of relationships,
02:24:06 like a relationship that I've seen since I've known you
02:24:09 is the Nelk Boys.
02:24:10 You guys seem like you have a great relationship,
02:24:12 you've built something beautiful with Happy Dad
02:24:13 and all that.
02:24:14 How did your guys' relationship start
02:24:16 and when did you start to realize,
02:24:17 like, oh, these are dudes I can align with?
02:24:20 - We're super tight.
02:24:21 I mean, we're literally like a family.
02:24:24 And basically, I met these guys through COVID.
02:24:28 You know, they wanted to come out to Fight Island
02:24:30 and Abu Dhabi during COVID.
02:24:32 And it was super organic.
02:24:35 Once they got out there, we all just sort of did our thing.
02:24:38 We really connected, we really liked each other.
02:24:40 And I love how hard these kids work.
02:24:43 These kids work their asses off, man.
02:24:45 And they're good dudes.
02:24:48 And we literally have zero deals in place.
02:24:52 Like, there's no contracts, there's no fucking,
02:24:54 oh, you didn't do this, you didn't do that.
02:24:56 It's a relationship of respect, friendship,
02:25:01 and we do fun shit together.
02:25:04 And I love the kids and I'd do anything for them.
02:25:08 - That's awesome.
02:25:09 - Yeah.
02:25:10 - It's interesting to see that
02:25:13 because of how they started,
02:25:14 essentially, it was like pranks, right?
02:25:15 They were doing like pranks going in,
02:25:17 professors turning on porn without the microphone on.
02:25:19 It was hilarious shit.
02:25:20 And then they've blown up into their own right.
02:25:23 And it's very unique how,
02:25:24 just seeing your guys' relationship, how it's all worked.
02:25:27 - Well, it's what I'm fascinated right now with,
02:25:28 by all these influencers.
02:25:29 So you have all these groups of young kids
02:25:32 that are creating content in this new world that we live in
02:25:35 with social media and the internet and all that stuff,
02:25:37 which has really just grown in the last 15, 16 years, right?
02:25:41 And how these kids have figured out
02:25:43 how to be such good content creators
02:25:45 and how to monetize it all.
02:25:47 And basically to become these new age celebrities
02:25:52 in the world that we live in,
02:25:54 it's impressive and I'm very fascinated by it
02:25:56 because I like, like I was telling you,
02:25:58 I don't wanna own the Oakland A's.
02:26:00 I wanna own Power Slap and I wanna own Nitro Circus
02:26:03 and the UFC when we did it,
02:26:05 taking literally nothing
02:26:07 and turning it into something special.
02:26:10 - Yeah, essentially what they've done.
02:26:11 - 'Cause clearly, yeah,
02:26:13 the relationship like how it has blossomed, but it's cool.
02:26:15 Again, like identifying where attention
02:26:18 and everything else is.
02:26:18 And then you find partnerships and relationships
02:26:21 to where you feel like,
02:26:22 hey, we can both grow these different things together.
02:26:26 Yeah, that is cool.
02:26:28 - When you, what about wrap up?
02:26:29 - Yeah, we gotta wrap up here in a little bit.
02:26:31 - I gotta go to a throw one meeting.
02:26:33 - That's right.
02:26:34 Before we get you out of here, a couple of things.
02:26:36 One, Will Confident has expressed interest
02:26:39 in gambling with you.
02:26:40 - Oh yeah?
02:26:41 - How do you feel about that?
02:26:42 - Yeah, Taylor like puts me, he's like,
02:26:44 hey, you gotta do it, you gotta do it.
02:26:45 - Just gotta do it.
02:26:46 - I'm in like the I don't know phase.
02:26:47 - Where are you at right now financially?
02:26:49 - We're doing all right.
02:26:50 - What have you won?
02:26:51 - Oh, with you, we're over $300,000.
02:26:54 - Okay, 300,000.
02:26:56 And that's five times.
02:26:58 We played five times 'cause five power slaps.
02:27:00 Came for every power slap.
02:27:02 And one of them we lost.
02:27:03 - Yeah.
02:27:04 - And we're still over 300.
02:27:05 - We're still over 300.
02:27:06 - Earlier on the NELK podcast,
02:27:07 I said we were at like 420, so I was wrong.
02:27:09 That number was wrong?
02:27:10 - No, no, no, we were around, we were at 455.
02:27:13 And then that night happened.
02:27:14 - Got it.
02:27:15 - So now we're nickel and diamond our way back.
02:27:16 - Got it, got it, okay.
02:27:17 - We're getting back, yeah.
02:27:18 - That makes more sense.
02:27:19 I don't know why that was in my head, but that's why.
02:27:20 Yeah, so what's gonna be interesting now
02:27:23 is we're gonna play tonight.
02:27:25 Who knows what else we'll end up doing before,
02:27:27 but what your number is at the end of this year.
02:27:29 And that's the way that I look at gambling.
02:27:31 Gambling is a war.
02:27:32 - He's building Taylor as a business.
02:27:34 He looks at Taylor like,
02:27:35 he's like, I gotta build this thing up.
02:27:37 - Gambling is a war.
02:27:38 And every night of these little battles in the war.
02:27:40 - You literally go, when you say,
02:27:42 we're gonna do it again tonight, which I want.
02:27:44 I wanna go back to Wargan.
02:27:45 I think it's like the most thrilling thing in the world.
02:27:48 But the minute you said that, Colt sweats.
02:27:50 - Okay, I know.
02:27:51 - And it's the thrill.
02:27:51 - He is a total sweater when we play.
02:27:53 He paces around the place.
02:27:54 - Dog, you are not lying.
02:27:55 - The anxiety goes through the roof before he plays
02:27:57 and he's going crazy.
02:27:58 - 'Cause there's always like one guy with a suit on
02:28:01 that goes, Dana's on his way.
02:28:02 And the minute I hear Dana's on his way,
02:28:04 I'm like, oh, fuck, dude.
02:28:05 What if, what if, what if?
02:28:06 I was telling you about my wife.
02:28:07 The night I lost, the only reason why I left
02:28:09 was to go catch my flight.
02:28:11 And I fly back and Taylor, my wife is like,
02:28:13 why'd you leave?
02:28:15 Like you should have stayed until you won it all back.
02:28:17 - What a gangster.
02:28:18 - Well, she's a fucking warrior.
02:28:19 - What a gangster.
02:28:20 - Yeah, she texts me this morning,
02:28:21 she's like, I didn't hear from you.
02:28:22 How'd it go?
02:28:23 How did we do?
02:28:23 And I'm like, fuck yeah, bro.
02:28:24 - Did you tell her that night took three months
02:28:25 off our life?
02:28:26 - Dog, it was nuts.
02:28:28 Thank God for Gary Brekko,
02:28:29 with all his late nights he's been doing, dude.
02:28:30 - Exactly.
02:28:31 - We appreciate you coming on, man.
02:28:33 - When is McGregor and Chandler?
02:28:35 - We don't have anything dialed in yet.
02:28:37 If I knew even a little bit, I'd say summer.
02:28:40 If I got to give you an answer, I'd say summer.
02:28:41 - Would you say that is, what yard line are we on?
02:28:44 Are we in the red zone?
02:28:45 Are we close to the goal line on getting that thing done?
02:28:46 - Yeah, yeah.
02:28:48 100%.
02:28:49 - That's gonna happen.
02:28:50 - We love you, appreciate you, Dana.
02:28:51 - All right, boys, thanks for having me.
02:28:52 - Hell yes.
02:28:53 - Oh, hey, inspirational.
02:28:57 That was awesome, man.
02:28:58 (upbeat music)
02:29:01 (upbeat music)
