00:00 We were all here, we were all here Monday as we are every Monday,
00:05 just getting ready for team meeting and team meeting came in and addressed it.
00:10 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:13 You know that's how I found out.
00:15 >> Bryce, would you say that Frank let you and the offense stay?
00:21 >> No, I think we all take ownership, especially offensively.
00:26 It's all of us.
00:27 I think we all look in the mirror, there's all things that we could have done better.
00:34 We all wanted to do better.
00:35 And it's a collective unit.
00:37 There's no finger pointing from players, coaches, nothing.
00:42 There's no, we all could have been better.
00:45 We have to improve.
00:47 >> Bryce, a couple of times this year we've kind of asked you about the grim
00:50 realities of the NFL in terms of injuries and struggles early on.
00:54 Just how much of another kind of slap in the face is this one?
00:59 >> It's really hard.
01:01 Again, these are real relationships, people's lives, of course.
01:08 Again, you spend, I don't know,
01:12 you spend almost double digit hours a day at times just in the building.
01:17 And day after day after day, so much time is spent.
01:22 Obviously, you build a strong bond, a strong relationship over that time.
01:25 And like you said, it's hard.
01:30 It's a really harsh reality of the business.
01:32 >> Not just Frank, but Josh as well.
01:34 I'm wondering how he helped kind of get you settled initially,
01:40 and then how many you found out about his fire?
01:43 >> Yeah, Josh definitely has played a big role in,
01:47 obviously, the quarterback has a big role in development.
01:52 Getting me accustomed to everything and growth.
01:55 And yeah, just finding out about that.
02:00 Again, it's really hard.
02:01 These are all people I have a tremendous amount of respect for.
02:05 Again, when you go to war with him, you work on things throughout the week and
02:11 day in and day out.
02:11 And you're trying to figure stuff out together.
02:14 Obviously, you grow close.
02:15 And again, it's hard for sure.
02:19 >> Bryce, did you feel like a personal sense of, maybe failure is not the right
02:24 word, but responsibility that these two men you respected so
02:28 much did get fired because the results weren't there on the field?
02:33 >> We all do.
02:34 We all share in that.
02:35 We all talk.
02:36 We all feel like, again, you never wanna see people lose their job.
02:41 You never wanna see people fight.
02:43 We wanted to, of course, come in, especially this being a new team,
02:46 we wanted to come in and conquer things together and
02:48 accomplish our goals together.
02:50 And we all take responsibility in that not being the case.
02:54 So that's all my mind says.
02:57 >> What allows you, one of the realities of the NFL is it's really the next game
03:01 up after all this transition throughout the week.
03:05 What's allowed you to compartmentalize everything that's happened but
03:09 also prepare for handball?
03:12 >> Really, it's just rallying around everyone in the locker room,
03:15 the people that are here.
03:18 Like you said, these are tough and trying times, these are hard times.
03:22 But ultimately, we play for each other in that locker room.
03:26 Again, just working with everyone every day, I have a tremendous amount of respect
03:32 for all my teammates, all the people that are here.
03:35 And we have to rely on each other, we have to lean on each other, and
03:38 we don't wanna let each other down, we wanna push each other.
03:40 So through that, just being able to play for each other, rely on each other,
03:44 is what allows us to keep working and stay driven.
03:50 >> Any tweaks you saw today with the guy from Coach Tabor or
03:56 anybody else that's showed you that may have a better chance of succeeding?
04:00 Protection, anything like that?
04:03 >> I mean, of course, there's little tweaks, of course,
04:05 with the change in leadership, change in roles.
04:08 Of course, things are gonna look a little different.
04:09 But I believe in everyone here, and we gotta practice.
04:15 So I think, I guess, time will tell as far as what the results are.
04:20 But again, I believe in everyone, I believe in organization,
04:27 my teammates, and everything.
04:29 So obviously, we're gonna do everything we can to be better and
04:33 to push and to translate into results.
04:35 But we have to earn that right, so
04:38 we have to earn the right to have more success in the future.
04:41 >> Bryce, you've spoken highly of Parks in the past.
04:44 I'm wondering what those meetings are like now, and
04:47 how you can kind of build that relationship with him as a coach.
04:50 >> Yeah, Parks is definitely someone that I've been close with throughout the year,
04:54 I'm really close with.
04:56 So he's been in the QB room.
04:58 Obviously, his responsibilities are changing a little bit now, but
05:01 he's been a part of every QB meeting.
05:03 He's been in the room the whole time.
05:05 So he's been able to see it, and obviously, it's just different,
05:10 it's a transition, but I'm definitely grateful for
05:15 Parks to be here and us to just try to finish strong, to keep building.
05:19 So yeah, grateful for that.
05:21 >> Bryce, personally, do you feel like the right decision was made, or
05:27 would you have liked to see Frank get more time to try to turn this around?
05:30 >> That's not for me to decide.
05:32 I'm a player just like everyone else here.
05:35 My job is to be the best I can in my position.
05:40 I try to execute on Sundays and lead the team, but that's not my decision.
05:44 >> Do you feel like you've improved over your first ten starts very much,
05:49 or to what degree have you improved?
05:51 And what would you like to see improve for you these last six games?
05:57 >> Yeah, I do feel like there's been growth, there's been improvement.
06:01 I think the biggest thing is that growth and
06:03 improvement translating to success on the field as a unit, as a team.
06:07 Cuz ultimately, that's all that matters.
06:09 That's all I care about is us having success, us winning.
06:13 That's the nature of this business, and
06:15 I think that's the biggest thing that has to change.
06:18 >> With so much change this week,
06:21 how much of a steadying impact has Thomas had, knowing that he's still here?
06:27 >> Yeah, to be someone who's been steady and
06:30 been consistent throughout, through, again, the ups and downs,
06:34 all the highs and lows and all of it.
06:36 This season has been, up to this point, he's someone that's been super consistent
06:39 throughout, has been himself and been consistent in his message and
06:42 how he approaches things.
06:44 And I think it's fitting, again, with him still being him and
06:47 still having that consistency.
06:48 Yeah, it's definitely good to have that stability there,
06:54 with all things considered.
06:56 >> Did what happened on Monday shake your own confidence at all?
07:00 >> No, for me, I feed on my team, feed on my faith for all that.
07:08 So again, it's just grasping the realities of what things are.
07:13 Again, it's a lot of real relationships, it's lives,
07:16 there's a lot that goes into it, you spend a lot of time.
07:19 Of course, that's something that is, it's a lot.
07:22 It's something that we all feel collectively as a group, as a team.
07:27 But we all lean on each other for confidence.
07:31 We all have confidence that's rooted deeply in ourselves.
07:35 So I think we all, it doesn't change our confidence,
07:39 doesn't change how we approach things.
07:41 But obviously, it's just, it's different.
07:44 >> We'll do a couple more.
07:45 >> When asked about you specifically, Coach Taylor was saying this week,
07:48 he wants to see you play loose.
07:50 What allows you to do that?
07:52 >> Again, just being able to rely on my teammates.
07:55 Just trusting them, knowing that the people they are,
07:58 the work that they put in, that we all put in, and having faith in that.
08:02 And also just, again, having the mindset and
08:05 the attitude that it is important, it does matter.
08:09 Next game, playing the Bucks this weekend is a huge game.
08:13 Regardless of whatever, our next game is all we're entitled to.
08:18 And that's the most important thing for us as a team,
08:21 is going down and working to execute on Sunday, that's all that matters.
08:25 And again, whatever people may say or not say about us on the outside,
08:31 that's stuff we can't control.
08:33 But we have six games left, and that's meaningful, that matters.
08:39 Just being able to have the opportunity to play, that's valuable,
08:42 that's important, and it's not something I take for granted at all.
08:45 So again, just coming with that mindset, and there's urgency in that too.
08:51 We feel that we wanna be better immediately, and we wanna work to do that.
08:58 So that's kind of the thought process.
08:59 >> Right, so we're gonna do Joe, and then we'll do Steve.
09:04 >> Following up on the day, Sean's question.
09:06 Do you think at times this year you have played too tight?
09:10 And if so, would that be as a result of your number one draft status?
09:16 Or even kinda if you guys were losing and wanting to turn that around?
09:23 >> I think that, especially with, and
09:26 it's something that I've just dealt with, and
09:30 I feel like it's a constant thing just throughout at all levels of my life.
09:34 You may feel a play of, I should, I need to be here, I need to be there.
09:40 I think, I don't know, I look at things a lot from the mental side of the game.
09:47 I think it's a constant, so we're trying to find exactly,
09:50 know where you need to be in, finding it and maintaining it.
09:53 And I don't think any external factors have anything,
09:55 has had anything to do with that, good or bad.
09:57 Again, I think there's times and plays where I need to reframe my mind here,
10:03 I need to reframe my mind there.
10:04 But that's something that's happened every year that I've had to play.
10:07 So again, of course, there's stuff I wish I could do better,
10:10 that I can improve on, that I wanna get better at.
10:12 But I don't think that there's been anything external that has affected me.
10:16 >> Steve.
10:18 >> Bryce, I mean, I've seen a lot of quarterbacks around the league over
10:21 the years that have gotten really frustrated when they're getting sacked a lot.
10:25 I mean, throwing the ball down, whatever, yelling at their offensive line.
10:28 You don't seem to have ever taken that approach.
10:31 What is kinda your approach to the pressure that you've been under and
10:36 how you've handled it?
10:37 >> Yeah, because it's something that falls onto all of our shoulders as a unit,
10:41 as a collective.
10:41 It's not one position group, it's not one player.
10:45 I have a partner, we all have a partner.
10:47 So obviously, we wanna be more efficient with that.
10:50 But that's not just pointing the finger and saying it needs to,
10:53 someone else, we all take ownership in that.
10:56 So I wanna look at what I'm doing and what I can do to be better at that.
11:02 Whether it's where we're sending, what line calls we're making,
11:07 where am I in the park, how can I get the ball quicker, whatever it is.
11:11 Stuff like that, it's not just one.
11:13 I take ownership in that too.
11:14 So, and obviously, I believe in my guys, I believe in my brothers,
11:20 and we all wanna do well, we all wanna be at our best.
11:24 So I trust them.
11:25 There's football, there's gonna be ups and downs at whatever it is.
11:30 So it's more just we wanna get it right, and we're gonna execute.
11:34 We all take ownership in that.
