Shane MacGowan, lead singer and songwriter of Celtic punk band The Pogues, has died at the age of 65. He was perhaps best-known for his duet with Kirsty MacColl in The Pogues' Christmas single ‘Fairytale of New York’. In 2022, the Irish singer revealed he had been diagnosed with encephalitis, and he subsequently spent many months in intensive care. Report by Chinnianl.
