00:00 Aiden, could you talk about second half adjustments? What were some things that
00:08 you guys talked about wanting to adjust to in the second half and maybe what
00:12 happened when the team kind of started to lose momentum a little bit? Yeah I
00:16 think definitely didn't play well enough in the second half. I think you know we
00:19 tried to continue with our run game and had success with our run game and then I
00:24 think that we just had a couple three and outs that you know it's hard to it's
00:27 hard to do that against this team to not you know put drives together. We kept our
00:31 defense on the field for too long and so we got to do a better job sustaining and
00:35 like you said do a better job in the second half executing.
00:39 Early in the game Devontae started out five catches on five targets, seven
00:48 degree yards and then kind of I don't think he had another catch the rest of the game. Were they
00:52 doing something different to take him out of the game or what was going on
00:55 there? You know I think with Devontae you try to look for opportunities as much as
00:58 you can. I know I missed him on that third and eight at the end of the game
01:02 and missed him on a couple more so you know it's my responsibility to get him
01:06 the ball especially when he's in one-on-one situations and you know we're
01:10 trying to continue to call plays for him to get him open and so we got to do a
01:14 better job myself of just getting the ball to him in space and let him be a good athlete.
01:18 Peyton you guys couldn't have asked for a better start but collectively what's the
01:22 message here in terms of sustaining that momentum and building off it and
01:27 basically putting your foot on somebody's throat and making sure you don't give it back?
01:30 Yeah it's that, you got to sustain, you got to you know continue your
01:34 intensity and especially against a really good team that's you know won a
01:37 lot of games and won a lot of games with that to come from behind and so it's
01:41 it's our responsibility to continue to you know every drive locked in,
01:45 every play locked in, try to do our job and you know you can't worry about what's
01:49 on the other side of the ball same as the defense can't worry about what we're
01:53 doing we have to worry about you know our individual jobs and try to do this
01:56 best we can to help the team.
01:58 Okay and talk about the second half momentum with this
02:00 game. Coming into this game you guys totaled at least 50 points in the first,
02:05 second, and fourth quarters across the board. You sort of collected 19 points in
02:10 the third quarter. What is it about coming out of the locker room that maybe
02:13 you're seeing as the quarterback later in this team that's not taking place?
02:16 Yeah I think you know it's just converting on third downs I think you
02:20 know we have to like I said when they have long drives we have to do a good
02:24 job of keeping our defense off the field and sustaining drives and getting ahead
02:27 of the sticks and staying ahead of the sticks and so it's a combination of a
02:30 lot of different things you have to be able to run the ball, pass the ball, and
02:33 execute and so I think like we continue to talk about there's a level
02:38 sustaining that we have to get better at and we have to you know implement during
02:42 practice and try to do a good job of you know continuing to focus.
02:47 I was also just gonna say this is your first start where you did not have a
02:55 turnover in a single game which I guess you can see is a silver lining. How much
02:59 of an emphasis was keeping on to the ball to you going into this game and how
03:02 did your offensive line help you in accomplishing that goal? Yeah I thought our
03:05 offensive line did an awesome job you know they throw a lot of different
03:08 things at you and they continue that throughout the game through you know new
03:11 looks, looks we've seen, looks we haven't and so I think you know like I said
03:16 through this offensive line for just playing really hard and keeping me
03:19 upright and for our guys around me playing really well. On that last 4th of 1 play, was there a
03:24 breakdown in terms of the play call or the O line or what happened when Jacobs got stuffed?
03:29 We were a little off in our formation and so yeah I know I there's craziness
03:35 going around you got to be able to corral the guys and make sure we execute
03:38 so I can do a better job of making sure we're on the same page and making sure
03:42 we have a good play called.
03:45 Thank you guys.
