Batter replaces Batsman #euphoriacricket

You might have noticed that the cricket community has started to refer to a "batsman" as a "batter." Why the change? Well, in September 2021, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the organization responsible for making the Laws of Cricket decided to replace "batsman" with "batter" in the Laws of Cricket to make it sound more gender-neutral, similar to terms like bowlers or fielders. The ICC also decided to adopt this terminology across channels and in commentary.
