00:00 Kyle Shanahan, he's the head coach of the team
00:02 that just won 31 to 13,
00:04 so I'm not gonna be too critical of the guy,
00:06 but I don't understand how the offense can look that good
00:11 in the first half and then struggle that much
00:14 in the third quarter.
00:15 They scored 24 points, they couldn't miss in the first half.
00:18 And then in the third quarter,
00:21 they couldn't score any points, and it's like,
00:24 when are you gonna get Brandon Iyuk to ball?
00:28 And to Kyle's credit, he got on the ball
00:30 with the game on the line.
00:31 And it's like, if you watch that play to Iyuk,
00:34 it was him, man to man against Devin Witherspoon.
00:38 He destroyed Devin Witherspoon.
00:40 He was open by like five or six yards.
00:43 So there's never a good reason to not throw the ball
00:46 to Brandon Iyuk eight, nine, 10 times in a game.
00:48 He got four targets in this game,
00:50 and it's like, I'm not trying to nitpick a win,
00:54 but there was a 0.3 quarter,
00:57 and they had to wait until the fourth quarter
00:58 to put this game away.
01:00 In the future, Kyle, that pass that you called
01:03 for Brandon Iyuk in the fourth quarter,
01:04 you are allowed to call that in the third quarter.
01:07 In fact, I would, as your attorney,
01:08 I am now your honorary attorney
01:12 and your quality control coach.
01:13 As your honorary attorney, I would highly recommend
01:16 you call that play in the third quarter next time.
01:18 Why wait?
01:19 Why wait?
01:26 I don't know.
01:26 His run game was great.
01:27 His usage of McCaffrey was perfect.
01:30 His usage of Debo was perfect.
01:32 He used Kittle as a blocker, great.
01:35 But Iyuk is the man on this team.
01:38 I'm not saying he's Jerry Rice, but he's not John Taylor.
01:43 He's the man.
01:45 And in this game, the team that shut him down
01:49 was the Niners.
01:50 Devin Witherspoon didn't shut down Brandon Iyuk.
01:54 Kyle did.
01:56 So Kyle, just something to think about.
01:57 You're doing really good, man.
01:59 Really good.
02:00 Got the run game going, but you shut down
02:04 Brandon Iyuk in this game.
02:05 He can't be stopped right now.
02:07 He's hot, you got in his way,
02:09 and it was 24 to 13 for a little bit.
02:13 It was almost a game.
02:14 'Cause you messed around in the third quarter
02:17 and didn't get Brandon Iyuk the ball, man.
02:19 It's not that hard.
02:19 He gets open, you can just call his number.
02:21 It's not hard.
02:22 You don't have to, with Debo,
02:23 you don't even have to manufacture him looks.
02:25 Play action, underneath the offensive line,
02:27 all the screens and stuff.
02:29 Brandon Iyuk can just let him run routes
02:31 and then throw him the ball.
02:32 That's how you get it to him.
02:33 You let him run routes and then you throw him the ball.
02:36 Did anyone else notice that?
02:41 Why is Brandon Iyuk not in the game plan this week?
02:43 Maybe it's the opposite of Debo,
02:44 where Kyle understands that Debo's a big game player.
02:47 He's gonna rise to the occasion.
02:48 He likes the big stage.
02:49 Maybe Kyle feels like Brandon Iyuk isn't that guy.
02:53 Because he hasn't had a lot of big games
02:56 or big game winning moments,
02:58 or he played junior college,
02:59 or he went to Arizona State.
03:01 I don't know what Kyle,
03:02 how he decides who's ready for the moment,
03:05 but it's Iyuk.
03:07 I mean, Kyle messed around all game
03:09 and then when he really needed to play,
03:11 who'd he go to?
03:12 Iyuk.
03:13 So if you trust him in the fourth quarter,
03:14 why not the first, second, and third?
03:16 And I think it's fair to say now that Iyuk is like,
03:22 he just won the game.
03:23 Debo Samuel took him to the end,
03:26 but Iyuk got him across the finish line.
03:29 He is a clutch player.
03:30 He is a game breaker.
03:32 He is an elite wide receiver.
03:34 A month and a half ago, I said, no.
03:36 He was dropping catches.
03:37 Debo Samuel was out and Iyuk wasn't stepping up.
03:39 Ever since then, he's been stepping up.
03:41 One of the best wide receivers in the league.
03:45 Not many wide receivers better than him.
03:47 Tyreek Hill's a little bit better than him,
03:49 but I mean, I take him over to Devontae Adams,
03:53 younger than him.
03:54 Kyle, please don't freeze out Brandon Iyuk anymore.
03:58 I know you haven't paid him yet
03:59 and on national television,
04:00 you like to feature all the really high priced stars
04:02 in your team, but Iyuk, he's a little quiet.
04:06 He's not necessarily a star.
04:08 To his credit, you know what he is?
04:10 Football player.
04:13 He's a football player.
04:15 And he doesn't, he barely,
04:16 have you ever heard Brandon Iyuk talk at a press conference?
04:19 He talks like this.
04:20 "Yeah, you know, we just really gotta like play better."
04:23 And he's like, he, very quiet.
04:26 The most non-drawn attention to himself dude of all time.
04:30 And so Kyle forgets about it from time to time.
04:34 Cause Brandon Iyuk's on the sideline probably like,
04:36 "Man, I really want Kyle to call me some plays,
04:38 but like, I talked to him about it
04:39 and I went right up to him.
04:40 I was like, "Hey Kyle, like,
04:41 are you gonna throw me the ball?"
04:42 And he was like, "I don't know, man.
04:43 Like I was trying to get the ball to Debo
04:45 and I was like, "Man, I'm just over here open all game.
04:47 Like, if you can really throw me the ball, it'd be nice.
04:48 But like, I don't know what I have to do."
04:50 I go up to him, I say, "Hey Kyle, I like you, man.
04:52 I want the ball, but you don't throw it to me."
04:53 Like Debo's over there.
04:54 He's like not open ever.
04:56 I'm open all the time, but he doesn't even wanna throw me.
04:58 That's Brandon Iyuk.
04:58 That's my impression of Brandon Iyuk.
04:59 I don't know, man.
05:00 He's just like, I go over to him
05:01 and he throws me the ball.
05:02 I like Brandon Iyuk for that.
05:06 Like he doesn't draw attention to himself.
05:08 He's not a star.
05:08 He's a football player.
05:11 So Kyle, it's on you, man.
05:12 He's really good.
05:14 Give him the ball.
05:15 It's on you.
05:15 Adrian, no got you.
05:19 Drunken Ninja, "Look like the Niners got bored
05:21 in the first half."
05:22 I got bored in the first half.
05:24 It's Vito Baby says, "You should be the head coach,
05:27 Ran. I miss Mason."
05:28 I miss him too.
05:29 Jeremy Ha says, "Brock made that call to Iyuk.
05:31 Kyle said, "Impressor."
05:33 What is Kyle's problem with Iyuk then?
05:34 Jenna Toll says, "Yo, Grant, Niners feasted
05:37 on sea chickens tonight and left no leftovers.
05:39 Shout out Grant for the great coverage.
05:41 Can I get a Fernando?"
05:43 Yeah.
05:44 Eric Jensen says, "Brock makes Iyuk that guy."
05:46 Yeah.
05:47 I think Jimmy was very Debo-centric,
05:49 but Brock understands.
05:51 Fernando.
05:53 Plumbing guy.
05:54 Eric Jensen, "Kyle drafted Iyuk in the first round
05:56 and Uff said, 'Trade it up for him.'"
05:57 Habu Marco 23 says, "Our wins this year
06:00 have all been blowouts and that scares me.
06:03 The 2019 run was filled with a ton of one possession games.
06:05 We need that experience."
06:07 Well, next week could be one.
06:08 Kilo T Dub says, "I know you asked Kyle about JP Mason,
06:11 but shouldn't Mitchell get more touches?
06:13 He's been looking really good lately."
06:14 He looks healthy.
06:16 Good for Mitchell.
06:17 Chance099 says, "Number 11 not in Cabo clicks."
06:19 So no shine for you.
