00:00 I lost everything.
00:00 There was a day when I swiped my debit cards
00:02 and everything went red.
00:03 - Retired WWE star, Gabby Tuft,
00:06 gives an update on her three year transformation.
00:10 On November 13th, Gabby Tuft returns
00:12 to the Tamron Hall Show to talk about her new book,
00:15 "Vibe Check" and how life has changed
00:18 since she was last on the show two years ago.
00:21 As fans recall, the fitness coach announced
00:23 she was transgender in 2021 on an Instagram post,
00:27 captioned, "This is me, unashamed, unabashedly me."
00:31 - You've gone through a lot since we last saw you.
00:35 Priscilla, you all have since divorced,
00:37 but you're still great friends and co-parenting together.
00:40 - Yeah, we're in the process of divorcing.
00:41 - In the process of divorcing.
00:42 - Best of friends.
00:43 - And how old is Mia now?
00:44 - She turned 12 a couple of days ago, yeah.
00:46 - Mia turned 12 a couple of days ago.
00:49 She refers to you still as?
00:52 - As dad.
00:52 - As dad.
00:53 How has it been having her still refer to you as dad,
00:58 but then go through the continued transformation
01:01 that you are going through?
01:03 - She asked early on, she said, "What do I call you?"
01:05 You can call me dad, you can call me mom,
01:07 you can call me whatever you want.
01:08 - After discussing her family,
01:09 Gabby tells Tamron about the term, quote, "clockable"
01:13 and how she doesn't mind being a recognizably trans woman.
01:16 - In the transgender community,
01:18 the term clockable means that somebody
01:21 that doesn't know you can look at you
01:22 and tell you're a trans woman or a trans man.
01:25 And so we use the term, the goal is to be as unclockable.
01:28 I mean, I know I'm clockable.
01:30 And that's part of it because I know what I am.
01:33 I'm not sure if everybody has that perspective
01:36 where they know I am a trans woman.
01:38 I wasn't born a woman.
01:39 I have big hands, I have big feet.
01:41 I can't change that.
01:42 And I'm okay with that.
01:43 - You're okay with that.
01:44 - Because I love who I am on the inside.
01:45 - Later, the former WWE star tells how she, quote,
01:48 "lost everything" after transitioning
01:51 and how she had to start putting herself
01:53 out there to fix it.
01:54 - My previous business was mostly male.
01:57 It was 92% male demographic.
01:59 And when I transitioned, alpha males don't like
02:02 their alpha male heroes turning into a woman,
02:05 which is totally understandable.
02:06 I get it.
02:07 And I can never be upset at anybody
02:08 for not sticking with the business.
02:11 So I lost everything.
02:13 There was a day when I swiped my debit cards
02:15 and everything went red.
02:15 And that was a big moment for me
02:18 where I couldn't hide behind my home,
02:21 behind a screen, behind a filter anymore.
02:24 And I had to put myself out there
02:25 and be real with the world and say,
02:27 "Okay, I need to go fix this right now."
02:30 - And after 10 years of being away from the WWE franchise,
02:33 the TikTok star tells Tamron what it felt like
02:36 to be back in the arena.
02:38 - It was incredible.
02:40 I didn't realize how much I had missed being in an arena.
02:43 And to see the lights and the,
02:46 I mean, 15,000 people in Madison Square Garden,
02:49 packed house, and I was on the floor,
02:51 and to hear the sounds of the ring
02:53 and seeing my friends that I was in the WWE with before
02:56 now leading the show, they're the big superstars.
02:58 And just to see them 10 feet in front of me,
03:00 it was just an overwhelming feeling of joy and gratefulness.
03:03 - She ends her time on the talk show
03:05 sharing what's most important to her
03:06 and how she feels overall on a day-to-day.
03:09 - And so every morning I wake up, I choose happy,
03:12 and I align myself and everything around me
03:14 with things that bring me joy and gratefulness.
03:15 - Oh, that's beautiful.
