00:05 >> Coach, MC Breed, in the future in front, throwback.
00:08 >> [LAUGH] >> We're on the playlist today.
00:11 >> [LAUGH] >> From Flint, right?
00:13 >> Yeah.
00:14 >> There you go.
00:15 >> FLINT, yeah.
00:16 >> There you go.
00:16 >> [INAUDIBLE]
00:18 >> [LAUGH]
00:23 >> Colton Miller, any update on him?
00:26 >> Yeah, it looks like he's turning in the right direction.
00:29 I'm hoping that's the case.
00:30 Obviously, we'll see here.
00:31 Meetings, typical deal for us, so
00:34 it probably better suited for me to answer that question.
00:37 >> With it being Thanksgiving, obviously, the schedule changes a little bit.
00:40 How you've been, you've seen him as a coach and as a player.
00:43 How do you kind of handle this type of week?
00:46 >> We know what's gonna happen, we embrace it.
00:48 We're here working this work, and we're eating that turkey and
00:50 ham with our family, let's enjoy that turkey and ham.
00:52 >> I know a lot of times people talk about routine being so
00:57 important to athletes, you guys are changing that up, obviously,
01:00 with the vaccine this week.
01:02 Is that really a big deal, your routine of knowing what day is what?
01:05 >> No, if you've followed me the last three weeks,
01:07 we've changed our routine every week.
01:09 So we're comfortable being uncomfortable, and that's on purpose to have these kind
01:13 of situations that's coming up, it's gonna be one in a couple weeks,
01:16 it's gonna come up again, where we're gonna have to adapt and change and
01:19 adjust to what's going on.
01:20 So just don't blink, our guys have done a good job of that.
01:22 We just take whatever day is given to us and make the most out of it.
01:27 >> What have you seen overall defensively in the last few weeks that have been
01:31 improved, and what do you like as kind of overall schematic, do you think?
01:35 >> Yeah, the mindset, the mindset's there.
01:37 You got, we talked about the energy with Max Crosby and the intensity of Spill.
01:43 But what you're seeing now is 11 guys just hungry, flying to the ball,
01:46 everybody being very eager to make a play, to contribute, to do their job.
01:52 Nobody's going out of the box, we're doing everything in our wheelhouse.
01:55 And I think PG's called a great game, allowing our guys to be comfortable to
01:59 start a game.
02:00 And as we get kind of a flow of the game, then we bring out our bag of tricks.
02:05 But I think overall, between the coaches and the players,
02:08 what you see is guys really trusting what we're calling,
02:10 believing what we're calling and executing.
02:13 >> When you and Champ were introduced as the interim GM and head coach,
02:16 you guys talked about culture and what that looks like.
02:19 So what does a winning culture on the professional level look like to you?
02:22 >> Yeah, win, lose, or draw, the product you see on the field is that of something
02:25 to say, okay, well, they might have came up short.
02:27 Like the other day, we ran out of time.
02:29 That's how I told our players, we ran out of time.
02:31 And like I said, regardless of what the score is, the way we play,
02:36 our intention of how we play, the execution of our play, the mindset of our team,
02:41 that's what I'm looking for.
02:42 And I think we've done that, win, lose, or draw.
02:45 Obviously, we were short last week, but it's a new week and we're at home and
02:48 we're excited.
02:49 >> You feel like it is trending in that direction, what you're looking for,
02:52 though? >> Yeah.
02:52 I think the team has been the same, win, lose, or draw.
02:54 They're not blinking, they got the same attitude, the mindset,
02:56 we're talking the same, we're not getting frustrated.
02:59 We're not pointing fingers.
03:00 You hear team, you hear we, you hear us.
03:04 And I think that's the key point about it.
03:06 >> Tony, as a former player, how real is a rivalry week when you're going up
03:10 against a rival like the Chiefs?
03:11 And granted, the Chiefs have won five of the last six, and
03:14 it's a team you hear in Vegas.
03:15 But as a player, how much emotion goes into that?
03:18 >> A lot.
03:19 I mean, they know us, they're on the short week.
03:20 I mean, they probably have the game plan.
03:21 I guess they know us like the back of their hand.
03:24 And the same here.
03:26 Obviously, a lot of respect for what Andy has done there, Spagnola, Patrick Mahomes,
03:30 Kelsey, Chris Jones, they got all pros across the board.
03:34 It's a challenge.
03:35 The rivalry, this has been a team that's obviously won Super Bowls and
03:38 they're a championship caliber team.
03:39 They've dominated division since Patrick Mahomes has taken over.
03:43 And Sarge, go out there and give us the best fight.
03:47 But give them their flowers.
03:48 They're defending Super Bowl champions.
03:49 In regards to what happened last night, we expect the best from them.
03:52 >> Coach, four out of your next six games are in the division.
03:56 I'm curious to how that changes things for
03:58 you, if it changes things at all when you're playing divisional opponents.
04:01 >> Yeah, in our division, then three out of four at home, correct?
04:04 >> Mm-hm.
04:04 >> I'm gonna start there.
04:06 Having a home field advantage for us is huge.
04:08 What we've gotten the last two home games against the Giants and Jets,
04:12 that has also energized our team.
04:14 So I'm calling on Raider Nation, our fan base, our alumni to show up and
04:18 show out.
04:19 Bring that energy, bring that passion.
04:21 Watch these guys play hard, give the effort, execute at a high level, and
04:26 play with intention to win every game at home.
04:29 No, Legion Stadium has to be ours.
04:31 That black hole has to be real.
04:33 And when we make that a conscious effort and a mindset, and
04:38 the fans do the same, it's a hell of a place to play at.
04:41 So we're fortunate enough that three out of the four are gonna be in our place.
04:45 Great opportunity for us in our division with a team that we know very well.
04:48 We're excited.
04:48 >> Coach, how do you think the process went of challenging a play on Sunday and
04:55 winning that challenge?
04:55 Was it easy to kind of get that on the way, get that process down?
04:58 >> The win one felt real good.
05:00 It felt good.
05:01 Put it in my back pocket, ready to throw it again.
05:03 But no, really good job by our people upstairs on it right away.
05:09 I was ready as were by the ref.
05:10 And we have our process of how we operate.
05:13 And from a field level, it always looks one way or the other.
05:16 I thought I had a good view on it.
05:18 I had a beat on it, but obviously upstairs had a really good beat on it.
05:21 We threw it.
05:22 I mean, it's one of those deals that changed the game at the time, right?
05:25 We gave us three points.
05:26 The more opportunities we can get like that to win possessions,
05:30 to challenge flags, I think it just energizes everybody.
05:32 So yeah, it was one play and I'm glad I finally won one.
05:35 >> How was your form on the throw?
05:37 A lot of coaches like to throw it, like to drop it.
05:39 What did you do?
05:40 >> Well, the first one I threw the other day wasn't good.
05:41 The first day, that wasn't good.
05:42 This one was nice.
05:43 I just had a nice, easy toss.
05:45 No corn hole.
05:47 >> You talked about background, the consistency,
05:49 and is he calling, does he remain consistent?
05:51 I mean, you talked about his overall.
05:53 >> Yeah, yes.
05:54 I mean, Patrick comes from a system in the background where you vary multiple and
05:59 do a lot of things.
05:59 And at the end of the day, you gotta adapt to your players and your team and
06:02 what you can do well.
06:03 And we've done that now for a year and a half.
06:05 And I think what you've now witnessed over the last month or so,
06:09 I really say the whole season.
06:10 We've had some bad games and some moments here.
06:12 But overall, guys have really done a good job of listening to what Pat is asking.
06:16 What's the must?
06:17 How do we win?
06:19 Who are we trying to take away?
06:20 What are we trying to execute?
06:21 And then what is my job?
06:23 And I think he's really simplified that for a lot of our players and
06:26 allowed them to play faster.
06:27 >> That's good.
06:29 >> So if NWA's up here, where's Taylor Swift with Travis Kelsey?
06:35 >> I don't know, I'll see if she's on the playlist today.
06:37 >> [LAUGH] >> Appreciate it.
06:39 >> Thanks, guys. >> Thanks, coach.
