00:00:42 Oh boy.
00:00:48 Welcome to a brand new edition of the Believe in Carolina Panthers Podcast here on the Believe
00:00:51 Podcast Network.
00:00:52 I'm your host, Desmond Johnson, joined by Sports Illustrated beat writer Skylar Callahan
00:00:56 and the Panthers all-time lead in rusher Jonathan Stewart.
00:00:59 Your Carolina Panthers have fallen to new lows, one and nine on the season after a 33
00:01:04 to 10 defeat at home by the Dallas Cowboys.
00:01:07 We'll talk a little bit about that.
00:01:09 A lot to get to.
00:01:10 I'm sure you guys actually just sitting there looking at the comments before we even went
00:01:12 live.
00:01:14 You guys are very frustrated with this franchise as I'm reading through some of this stuff.
00:01:19 We'll get to all of that.
00:01:20 Of course, it's always open mail back here at Believe in Panthers, so if you got something
00:01:23 to say, if you're mad, of course, we got to tell them why you're mad today.
00:01:26 I'm sure there's plenty of things to point out here.
00:01:29 Just a lackluster effort all the way around.
00:01:31 We're like Dallas didn't even want to be there on Sunday for most of the game.
00:01:34 They were just kind of there because they needed to be.
00:01:37 Then they turned it on when they needed to.
00:01:38 We'll get into all that.
00:01:39 I know a lot of you got questions about Frank Wright, the coaching staff.
00:01:44 Skylar has been in the building, so we'll get the latest on that and what might be happening
00:01:47 over there, if anything at all, and just more.
00:01:50 So glad you guys are here with us live here on a Tuesday.

00:02:25 BetOnline, where the game starts.
00:02:27 And normally we start off with the box score.
00:02:30 I don't think we haven't had to do that for the past two weeks, so we're not doing that.
00:02:33 But before we move off of the Cowboys, just kind of give me your thoughts on what you
00:02:40 guys saw on Sunday.
00:02:47 I'm starting to feel indifferent here.
00:02:49 I realized that during the game, I'm sitting here with my laptop, I'm doing something completely
00:02:53 different.
00:02:54 And I look up, I see the Panthers win, I'm like, "Well, they ain't gonna score."
00:02:57 I start doing whatever, I look up again, they got the ball, they ain't gonna score.
00:03:01 Same thing, it flipped the whole day.
00:03:03 Even when we got to 17-10 in the fourth, I was like, "Well, we can't score 20, so how
00:03:07 are we supposed to win this football game?"
00:03:09 That's the thoughts I'm having as I'm watching these games now.
00:03:14 You guys go first, because I feel like they're going to get Bryce Young hurt, and we'll
00:03:17 get back to him in just a second.
00:03:18 But Stu, what were your thoughts?
00:03:20 First of all, were you at the stadium?
00:03:22 Were you at the stadium Sunday?
00:03:23 No, I was at the house.
00:03:24 Okay, bless you, bless your heart.
00:03:25 All right, so what were your thoughts on the game?
00:03:34 My initial thoughts were, man, the defense is playing strong, which gives you an opportunity
00:03:42 to be competitive in any NFL football game.
00:03:49 But then the costly penalties, you can't have those, especially when you're playing a good
00:03:58 football team.
00:04:02 As a player, when you find yourself making penalties, it's just fundamentals.
00:04:17 It makes me question, are these guys getting the coaching?
00:04:22 Are they being reminded of certain things they're supposed to be doing?
00:04:27 Are they being reminded of, "Hey, don't reach, don't grab.
00:04:31 Stay with your feet."
00:04:33 You know what I'm saying?
00:04:34 So be where your feet are, literally.
00:04:38 If you're not there with your feet to make the play, you're out of position.
00:04:44 So the penalties threw me, obviously, to the edge of my seat, because it's like, we're
00:04:54 right there.
00:04:55 We're that close in so many instances.
00:04:59 And against the Dallas Cowboys, and you can tell that these guys are out there playing
00:05:04 hard, especially on defense, man.
00:05:07 They're out there flying to the ball, trying to make plays.
00:05:10 I love how our safeties react to the ball.
00:05:17 And then you see the offense, right?
00:05:20 We've known for the whole season, we've been battling protection.
00:05:26 It's just like, I cringe watching Bryce in the pocket, because it's just not the best
00:05:37 thing to look at.
00:05:38 As a fan, you want your number one pick to be safe.
00:05:42 You want him to not get injured, and you want him to excel.
00:05:46 And it's hard watching him, because he doesn't have the pieces there to help him excel the
00:05:55 way he ought to, right?
00:05:58 And that's a broken record.
00:06:00 One of the things that I did see, though, was the running game.
00:06:04 And I was really happy about the running game.
00:06:06 I thought that we got away from it a little too soon.
00:06:11 If we would have stuck with it throughout the second half of the game, it could be a
00:06:18 little bit of a different story.
00:06:21 But at the time of possession, if you're struggling on offense and your defense is
00:06:28 playing to the best of their ability, you keep that ball, their offense can't score.
00:06:37 And you're not relying so much on the passing, especially if the running game is working.
00:06:42 Miles Sanders, I loved how explosive he was.
00:06:45 It was good to see him on one of the runs he had.
00:06:50 He got caught in the backfield, made one quick move, jump cut to the right, and that was
00:06:56 explosive.
00:06:57 Those are the plays that I would love to see more drawn up for him, where he gets an opportunity
00:07:06 to make guys miss.
00:07:07 Put them in space, make them miss.
00:07:09 Now obviously, that looked like an unblocked guy, but he's good work.
00:07:16 Chuba Hubbard, I feel like has been the most consistent piece in my mind through this offense
00:07:24 throughout the year.
00:07:25 So seeing him run the ball, running behind his pads, the typical Chuba.
00:07:33 But yeah, man, it's just the penalties.
00:07:38 It's beating yourselves, right?
00:07:39 It's like, how do we not beat ourselves?
00:07:41 - At the worst times too.
00:07:43 It's always like- - Pivotal plays.
00:07:45 - Yeah, pivotal moments in the game where I feel like I don't usually draw conclusions
00:07:51 to the fact that, man, the penalties.
00:07:54 - I mean, it handed them 10 points in the first half.
00:07:59 - Yeah, you can't really...
00:08:02 And not just 10 points, it's momentum, right?
00:08:05 So I think we gotta figure out a way to really go into a game and have a clean game.
00:08:14 - Yeah, I think it's going back to fundamentals of football.
00:08:18 Don't face mask a guy and don't blow up a guy when you're not supposed to.
00:08:23 - Don't face mask a guy on the same play.
00:08:26 I've never even seen that happen before.
00:08:28 - He wasn't letting him get in the end zone.
00:08:30 - Yeah, I appreciate the effort.
00:08:31 I appreciate the effort all the way, but listen, buddy, be where your feet are.
00:08:36 - I didn't believe it at first.
00:08:37 They said it on the broadcast.
00:08:38 I'm like, "That's impossible.
00:08:39 You can't horse collar and face mask a person at the same time.
00:08:43 How do you do?"
00:08:44 I'm like, "Oh, he did.
00:08:45 Oh, he really did it."
00:08:46 - And I want to say too, on the Sean Williams one, that's the one that you can't absolutely
00:08:53 have.
00:08:54 You can maybe live with the face mask and the horse collar on the same play.
00:08:57 Yeah, it's terrible football, but the Sean Williams, man, like, what are you doing?
00:09:01 It's third down.
00:09:02 You had them stop.
00:09:03 They're getting ready to kick a field goal, which is not a guaranteed anything.
00:09:07 And then three plays later, they're in the end zone dancing like, "Come on, man."
00:09:11 When you're a team that's one and eight or one and nine, the margin for error is like
00:09:16 this.
00:09:17 You can't overcome penalties like that.
00:09:20 That's just not what this team is built to do.
00:09:22 - And let's not excuse the fact that Dallas came in there basically expecting to kind
00:09:26 of walk away, not taking the game seriously the first three quarters of the game.
00:09:28 - Felt like a very vanilla game plan for them, didn't it?
00:09:31 - Yeah.
00:09:32 They just were kind of like, "All right."
00:09:33 They almost treated it like a bye week.
00:09:34 That's the way it felt to me until around the fourth quarter and they got some separation.
00:09:38 And then that pick six kind of just, you know, that pick six is what it is.
00:09:41 - And then Barnault with the late hit.
00:09:46 - Yeah, man.
00:09:47 You can't do this.
00:09:48 You can't do that.
00:09:49 Isn't that coaching?
00:09:50 - I would tell you this though.
00:09:51 I'm going to tell you this because Tom Brady actually spoke about this on some of our podcast.
00:10:02 Like football, like NFL's got to figure this out.
00:10:05 - Oh, Stephen A. Smith.
00:10:07 - Yes.
00:10:08 Yeah.
00:10:09 Because the NFL does need to figure this out.
00:10:10 I'm all for protecting players, but I played a position where we not protected at all.
00:10:16 You know what we have to learn to do?
00:10:17 We have to learn how to protect ourselves.
00:10:20 - Yeah, I saw this.
00:10:21 - That's exactly like how football should be played and how it should be viewed and
00:10:27 how it should be structured and roughing and protecting the players is, "Hey, teach these
00:10:31 guys to protect themselves."
00:10:33 You're not just going to be able to go across the middle willy-nilly and just catch every
00:10:37 ball.
00:10:39 When the ball's thrown, you're going to have to position yourself in the air to protect
00:10:43 yourself.
00:10:44 - Right.
00:10:45 - Okay?
00:10:46 So like, there's just certain, like as a quarterback, like, yeah, he's not protected, but hey, if
00:10:50 there's a guy in your face, that means you can't throw the ball.
00:10:54 Like tuck it.
00:10:55 It's a sack.
00:10:56 - Yeah.
00:10:57 - It's a sack.
00:10:58 Or run away.
00:10:59 Or curl up, protect your head, and live to fight another down.
00:11:07 But those aren't the rules right now, so you got to abide by the rules.
00:11:10 And you got to know going into the game, like I know when you see Dak Prescott back there
00:11:15 about to deliver a cannon, and it's like, "Oh, I have a shot to hit the quarterback."
00:11:22 You got to have the tameness, or is that a word, tameness?
00:11:27 - It is now.
00:11:28 - You got to be, it is now.
00:11:29 - Yeah.
00:11:30 - You got to be tame.
00:11:31 You got to tame yourself, brother.
00:11:33 - I mean, like the physicality and the violence of the game has been stripped away.
00:11:38 Like we all know that.
00:11:39 But the one hit from Xavier Woods, was it this week or the week before?
00:11:44 I think it was this past week, right?
00:11:45 Where he just made a clean shot on the guy.
00:11:48 Maybe it was two weeks ago.
00:11:49 - It was last week.
00:11:50 - It was two weeks ago.
00:11:51 - Yeah, they call it targeting.
00:11:52 - Two weeks ago.
00:11:53 Targeting, like, come on, man.
00:11:54 That's a clean shot.
00:11:56 But I agree, like football right now, it's not a clean product.
00:12:01 It's a lot of bad football, to be honest with you.
00:12:03 And we're seeing it firsthand, you know, more than anybody.
00:12:07 - I'm going to go through some of these comments and I'm going to get to one of the things
00:12:10 I got frustrated with.
00:12:11 I made a mistake of going, kind of going at Panthers Twitter.
00:12:16 I didn't mean to do it, but it kind of developed that way.
00:12:20 So and it's something-
00:12:21 - Shame on you, bro.
00:12:22 - I've asked five separate people yesterday the same question.
00:12:25 They all answered the exact same way.
00:12:26 So I'm going to, we'll get to that in just a second.
00:12:28 But got a whole lot of people in the comments today.
00:12:32 Appreciate y'all checking this out.
00:12:34 Mark Burks talking back and forth with Willie Smith.
00:12:36 Willie still wants that separate call in for the fans.
00:12:38 I don't know how to, like, I don't know how to chaperone that.
00:12:43 Like, there's no way for me to do it while we're live.
00:12:44 I'll figure something out, Willie.
00:12:45 - Maybe we can do it on Twitter spaces or something.
00:12:48 - Yeah, maybe like something live, like after a game or something like that.
00:12:51 Jethro Swan says, I'm such a diehard fan from the beginning, but this is the worst I've
00:12:54 seen it.
00:12:55 I'm a retired Army vet and something has to change.
00:12:57 This is getting very frustrating.
00:12:58 Willie, super fan, 10 games and nothing offensive wise has changed.
00:13:03 Offensive minded head coaches, BS.
00:13:06 Stu, you think you still fit some pads though?
00:13:08 We could use an actual running back on this team.
00:13:11 It's just a bunch of- - Nah, man, there's some actual running
00:13:14 backs on the team.
00:13:15 Don't be throwing darts at the running backs.
00:13:16 - I don't have a problem with running backs.
00:13:18 I have a problem with the scheme they're running for the running backs, but I don't have a
00:13:20 problem with the running backs at all.
00:13:21 I think they've been a bright spot, like you said, Stu.
00:13:24 One of the things, oh, okay.
00:13:25 I'm just going ahead and set it off.
00:13:27 - Yeah, I'm gonna tell you why we mad, son.
00:13:28 I'm gonna tell you why we mad, son.
00:13:29 - Let's just start before the game even began.
00:13:31 Why the hell are Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones on the field?
00:13:36 And Jerry Jones is announcing that he's putting Jimmy Johnson in the ring of honor for the
00:13:39 Cowboys at an away game in Carolina.
00:13:42 Like why is this?
00:13:43 What is this happening?
00:13:44 What is happening?
00:13:45 Like what is that about?
00:13:46 - I really wanna know how that happened, or how it was allowed to be happened.
00:13:51 Like did David Tepper give him permission, or did he just do it?
00:13:55 Or is this like a PR thing that they agreed to?
00:13:59 Like, I mean, how does that happen?
00:14:01 - At the very beginning of the game, before the game started, like in the pregame or whatever,
00:14:04 Jerry Jones is in the building, and they announced finally that they're gonna put Jimmy Johnson
00:14:09 in the Cowboys ring of honor, which is something that should have been done 25 years ago.
00:14:13 But you know, Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson had the thing or whatever, and it just hadn't
00:14:16 been done.
00:14:17 For whatever reason, this week, Jerry Jones woke up and was like, you know what?
00:14:20 I'm gonna put Jimmy Johnson in the ring of honor.
00:14:21 And they decided to announce it not at the next Dallas home game, but they went out on
00:14:25 the field in Carolina and announced it there.
00:14:28 And the cameras all picked it up, and they're out there, and they're holding hands and everything
00:14:31 else.
00:14:32 And I'm just like, what does this have to do with us?
00:14:34 Like, why is this happening here?
00:14:36 Like it was weird for it to happen at an away game.
00:14:38 It'd be like retiring a jersey, like, you know, like retiring a Carolina basketball jersey.
00:14:43 Or being in the NC State game on the road or something.
00:14:46 Like, what are you doing?
00:14:47 Could you even imagine like the level of disrespect, not only to the Panthers, but almost kind
00:14:51 of like for Jimmy Johnson too.
00:14:52 Like, you're not even getting that honor at home.
00:14:54 That'd be like if David Tepper called up Stu and said, hey Stu, we're gonna put you in
00:15:00 the ring of honor.
00:15:01 Like, that's cool.
00:15:03 But if he did it while you were in New Orleans, or the team was in New Orleans.
00:15:09 Or Greg Olson would be a perfect one, because he's on the games, right?
00:15:12 If he's calling a Panthers-Saints game in New Orleans, and they do this thing in New
00:15:16 Orleans, like that's just-
00:15:17 On the field.
00:15:18 On the field.
00:15:19 They were on the field, like waving, and like, it was a big deal.
00:15:22 And the cameras are picking it up.
00:15:23 They're like, oh, it's so great.
00:15:24 Jimmy Johnson's going in.
00:15:25 Yeah, that don't make too much sense to me.
00:15:28 So that was the beginning of the tomfoolery on Sunday.
00:15:31 And then you get this game where it's like, I haven't said anything about it out loud.
00:15:36 I've noticed it really since week one.
00:15:38 And I thought, well, maybe it's just him learning the offense or whatever.
00:15:41 And this past game, I was really like, okay, I gotta say something about it.
00:15:45 I haven't even said anything about it to either one of you.
00:15:47 Bryce Young.
00:15:48 I had a tweet Sunday during the game, and I'm going to pull it up here, where basically
00:15:54 I'm saying-
00:15:55 I might need to make it bigger.
00:15:58 So it's like 3.36 in the afternoon, and I'm sitting there watching the game, and I keep
00:16:04 thinking about it.
00:16:05 And I'm like, is it me, or does Bryce Young literally never climb the pocket?
00:16:08 He takes the shotgun snap and just stands on his toes.
00:16:10 He doesn't drop deep.
00:16:11 He doesn't climb the pocket into his throws.
00:16:13 It's been nagging me for weeks, but I really see it today.
00:16:15 I'm a tripping.
00:16:16 Panthers, Twitter lost their mind.
00:16:19 They literally came to me as if- everyone was basically like, well, how's he supposed
00:16:23 to step up, dumbass?
00:16:24 There's somebody in front of him every time he has to do it.
00:16:28 And I'm like, I'm not talking about the times where there's pressure clearly in his way
00:16:31 and there's three dudes.
00:16:32 I'm talking about the times where it's like, he does have a little bit of a pocket.
00:16:36 He gets the snap, and he just kind of-
00:16:39 He does this kind of thing.
00:16:40 It's a bad habit.
00:16:41 Yeah, it's a bad habit.
00:16:42 Nobody's correcting it.
00:16:43 It's not his fault.
00:16:44 It's not necessarily his fault.
00:16:46 It's a fact.
00:16:47 It's a product of the pressure, right?
00:16:48 Because we're so used to it, you don't even think twice about them.
00:16:52 You're so used to having to flush out of the pocket.
00:16:56 See, I thought maybe it was something he was doing in Alabama or something like that.
00:17:00 And the more people kept coming at me from Panthers Twitter like, well, there's no place
00:17:03 to go.
00:17:04 It's like climbing a fallen tree and all this other stuff.
00:17:06 I mean, I've got all kinds of people.
00:17:07 As you can see, that tweet got viewed 35,000 times from Sunday to today.
00:17:11 So people were really on this thing.
00:17:13 And I'm like, okay.
00:17:14 They were like, "Desmond, you dumb."
00:17:15 Yeah, they're like, "What are you doing?"
00:17:16 It's like you don't even watch the games.
00:17:19 I'm like, "Y'all, look, right below it, y'all know damn well I'm forced to watch every damn
00:17:22 second of the games to even do a Panthers Weekly."
00:17:25 So I mean, I have to watch these games.
00:17:26 It's not like I'm not watching them.
00:17:28 You got a point.
00:17:29 I mean, because I mean, you look at- I look at guys like Lamar Jackson, right?
00:17:35 Lamar Jackson in the pocket does everything in the pocket that you would ask a guy that
00:17:44 gets sacked.
00:17:45 Like, "Hey, why didn't you just step to the right?
00:17:48 Why didn't you just see that guy coming out the gate and just run away from him?"
00:17:53 Or like Lamar Jackson's pocket awareness is just elite because he's always looking down
00:18:00 the field too.
00:18:03 And so that's an elite guy.
00:18:07 That's something that maybe, if you're a coach and you're Bryce Young, you add that to the
00:18:13 tool shed, you know what I'm saying?
00:18:16 Especially given that right now your offensive line is struggling, like anticipate sometimes
00:18:23 on certain looks that guys are going to be in your face and you need to deliver your
00:18:29 own time almost.
00:18:31 But I also can't sit up here and say that that's easy to do because these guys, you
00:18:40 got six, five, three hundred, two ninety guys in your face about to tear your head off.
00:18:47 I'm pretty sure there's thousands of things going on through his mind.
00:18:52 And it's hard to prioritize what sticks and what you choose to do in those moments.
00:19:01 And I'm not saying Bryce Young sucks or anything like that.
00:19:04 In fact, we've been some of the biggest cheerleaders for Bryce Young since we knew we were going
00:19:08 after him.
00:19:09 So I'm not saying that in the tweet.
00:19:10 What I'm basically saying is that it was a difference watching Dak Prescott take seven
00:19:15 step drops and then climb the ladder in the pocket up and step into his throws.
00:19:21 Bryce doesn't step into his throws.
00:19:22 If he's climbing the pocket, someone is chasing him.
00:19:24 Like literally someone's behind him and he's having to move out and go.
00:19:28 Think about any regular Bryce Young play.
00:19:31 It's going to be shotgun pistol formation.
00:19:33 Eighty eighty five percent of the time.
00:19:35 I was shocked he was under center on Sunday.
00:19:37 That's something I don't know if we've really seen it all and something they need to do
00:19:41 because if you can do that, you can run some play action and you can't really run play
00:19:44 action right from where he's at.
00:19:46 Matt Pocket, he gets the snap.
00:19:48 And for those talking about him, well, you're going to run no room to climb the pocket up
00:19:52 front if the Panthers know that.
00:19:54 And all of us know that, too, at home watching.
00:19:57 I'm pretty sure Bryce knows that at this point when he gets the shotgun snap.
00:20:01 Why is he taking a couple of steps back?
00:20:03 You know what I mean?
00:20:04 Just like a simple two step drop just to give yourself some more space because, you know,
00:20:07 it's coming.
00:20:08 He's not doing that.
00:20:09 He takes it and he kind of stands on his toes like he gets it and he kind of he takes it
00:20:13 leisurely.
00:20:14 I mean, that's the frustrating part for me.
00:20:16 It's like there's no there's no urgency in what he does.
00:20:23 And like some people treat as Mr. Cool.
00:20:26 They just look at it like he doesn't know what he's looking at.
00:20:27 And I don't know which one it is, but like when he gets the snap, he leisurely takes
00:20:31 a step back.
00:20:32 You see him look around, I assume for Adam Thielen.
00:20:35 And then he throws it to Adam Thielen.
00:20:36 Like that's literally what I'm watching the past couple of weeks.
00:20:39 Like when he tries another wide receiver, they drop it.
00:20:42 So he maybe he's falling out of like Mingo and Chark and some of these other guys that
00:20:47 we thought were going to do some stuff.
00:20:48 They can't hold on to the ball.
00:20:49 Like I understand why he's going to Adam Thielen 12, 14 times a game.
00:20:52 I'm going to answer this question, Desmond.
00:20:58 It's based off of lack of trust.
00:21:01 All the things you were just explaining, all the things you're upset about, lack of trust
00:21:06 in the offensive line and the people that he's thrown to.
00:21:09 OK.
00:21:10 But I mean, we have nine games to go or eight games to go.
00:21:16 Like, like, OK, so this makes me.
00:21:19 I got one.
00:21:20 I got one.
00:21:21 I got one.
00:21:22 Hit me, hit me, brother.
00:21:23 I'm going to tell you why we're messing.
00:21:24 I'm going to tell you why we're messing.
00:21:25 By the way, I was going to have a surprise.
00:21:26 I was going to clip you doing that from last week so we could have it as an extra one.
00:21:28 I'm going to have it next week.
00:21:29 So I just didn't have enough time this week to get to it.
00:21:31 But it's not as crisp, but it's OK.
00:21:36 Jonathan Mingo, man, what the hell are you doing?
00:21:39 I mean, I feel like we're saying, what the hell are you doing to about half this team?
00:21:43 But, dude, like he like he he stopped running on his route on the pick six.
00:21:50 I don't know what he's doing.
00:21:52 Like, here's just my my take.
00:21:54 I've never played receiver.
00:21:56 And I mean, Stu's obviously had some effect in the past game as a running back.
00:22:00 But to me, what I was told from guys that played receiver is when you see somebody in
00:22:07 your peripheral vision as a DB or a linebacker, and I know there's playing linebacker.
00:22:14 Some receivers, when they see that guy coming and it's an out route like that, you're going
00:22:17 to condense that route and come down on it hard to take that angle away and come back
00:22:22 to the football.
00:22:24 He drifted off and just kept running the route.
00:22:27 Yeah, you call that.
00:22:30 That was an unfriendly route.
00:22:31 Is that a rookie?
00:22:32 Yes, I was.
00:22:33 Yeah, that would be for you to run a friendly route.
00:22:35 So that way it's an easier throw for the quarterback.
00:22:38 You can cut that thing off.
00:22:39 You don't have to run the complete depth of it or or run it as it's designed.
00:22:44 If you can see this guy's cutting in front of you, he's going to undercut it.
00:22:47 You've got to make it to where you're beating him to the spot and come back to the ball.
00:22:51 And then after the ball's picked off, he gives up on the play.
00:22:56 Yeah, he kept drifting.
00:22:57 He kept drifting away.
00:22:58 Off the sideline.
00:22:59 He could have drifted towards the guy and tapped him while you were on the ground.
00:23:07 It's an effort thing, right?
00:23:08 And it's an awareness thing.
00:23:09 Like I remember when, you know, quarterbacks are going to throw picks, bro.
00:23:13 I remember the first time Cam threw, or not Cam, Jake Delon, he threw a pick.
00:23:20 Maybe we were playing the Cardinals or something like that.
00:23:22 I can't remember.
00:23:23 But I remember in that moment, I was like, oh, I can get a tackle right now.
00:23:30 So like in my mind, I was like, oh, I can I can play defense now.
00:23:33 You like to hit.
00:23:34 Yeah.
00:23:35 So I'm like, where do you go?
00:23:36 Let me go chase them.
00:23:37 Let me see if I can get the ball back.
00:23:39 But like, that's the mentality you got to have.
00:23:41 Like, you play offense, you're a receiver, but you play football, man.
00:23:45 You got to have that mentality that we out here playing football.
00:23:47 So whatever I got to do, I'm going to do it.
00:23:50 And the thing is, when that happens, the play isn't over just because it's picked off, right?
00:23:55 You can go and lay the wood on this kid and maybe he loses the ball because he's not used
00:24:01 to holding the ball.
00:24:02 Last night, did you guys see AJ Brown last night?
00:24:05 He ran a bad, bad route.
00:24:08 And I think it was because he beat the guy so bad off the off the off the snap.
00:24:13 He put his hand up to Jalen saying, I'm going deep.
00:24:18 But Jalen didn't see his hand up.
00:24:20 And so he threw it short.
00:24:21 I think he was like like a little curl right or something like that or in.
00:24:26 And the DB came in and undercut the route and intercepted it.
00:24:31 AJ Brown went up on the DB and stripped the ball away from the DB.
00:24:36 That's what I'm talking now.
00:24:39 AJ Brown accidentally like touched him while he was on the ground, so he was down.
00:24:45 But if it was but you can tell that he wasn't trying to touch the DB after he caught the
00:24:51 ball and accepted the ball because he was going to he like, get up so I could take the
00:24:54 ball back.
00:24:55 I was like, man, this is a great play.
00:24:58 Like if that if he didn't touch if he didn't touch the DB while he was down, that would
00:25:03 have been a top play.
00:25:06 How ironic is that?
00:25:07 How ironic is that the AJ Brown is an Ole Miss guy does does that two years ago?
00:25:12 DK Metcalf Ole Miss guy runs the same mentality down a guy.
00:25:17 It's a mentality, bro.
00:25:18 Jonathan Domingo is an Ole Miss guy.
00:25:21 You think, OK, and they kept comparing it, not necessarily comparing, but the same size,
00:25:25 the same build, kind of in a way as you know, as those two guys.
00:25:29 And that's what happens.
00:25:31 I mean, come on, man.
00:25:34 You got to find the dog within yourself that wants the ball.
00:25:39 Mark Burns says Bryce footwork seems off to he's off his back foot because he's flatfooted
00:25:42 in the pocket.
00:25:43 I appreciate the insight.
00:25:44 Things really work on the field for us.
00:25:45 Couch coaches.
00:25:46 That's and that's another thing.
00:25:47 He throws it off his back foot.
00:25:49 And I think maybe some of us are used to that because Cam did that a lot to the difference
00:25:52 is Cam was like six six to 60 and could throw it 70 yards flat foot.
00:25:56 Like there's a difference like Bryce doesn't have that kind of arm.
00:25:58 So when he throws it, there's not a lot of zip on those throws when he's not granted.
00:26:04 Again, I'm not saying he's not being pressured.
00:26:06 Like I'm not dumb.
00:26:07 Like I see guys in his lap every third play.
00:26:09 Like that's not what I'm talking about.
00:26:11 That's a whole other issue is the offensive line.
00:26:13 I'm talking about the few and far times in between when he does get it two or three seconds
00:26:17 and he gets the ball out clean.
00:26:19 He's not climbing the pocket and putting his, you know, his body weight into the throws
00:26:24 and it makes the throws float like they float kind of either behind the receiver.
00:26:29 They don't have that tight spiral.
00:26:31 Yeah, they're short or they're or most of these pick sixes that he's thrown.
00:26:34 If you look back at them, they're behind the receiver like he's throwing behind the guy
00:26:37 like and it's because of whatever was going on in the pocket.
00:26:40 So this brings me to my first question of the day for both of you because we're at that
00:26:43 point now where we can seriously talk about it.
00:26:45 Should the Panthers bench Bryce Young and bring in Andy Dalton to save Bryce Young from
00:26:50 this because this is only going to get worse as the season goes on, right?
00:26:53 Like I mean, what do we plan for at this point?
00:26:56 He's your number one draft pick.
00:26:57 You gave up so much stuff to get this kid in here.
00:27:00 Do you leave him in there for nine more games and put and potentially have a Zach Wilson
00:27:04 situation going on where he's so fractured?
00:27:07 He ain't mentally to me.
00:27:10 Don't you don't you put that exact Wilson in the same where they were drafted.
00:27:15 Then it's a different situation in New York.
00:27:20 That's a whole district.
00:27:21 You know, that's just the Jets are actually way worse than the Panthers.
00:27:25 So what didn't what?
00:27:28 Look it up.
00:27:29 I think I think they're points.
00:27:32 They got they got to have a cause.
00:27:34 Yeah, I think they want to score.
00:27:35 Yeah, they can't score either.
00:27:38 So but listen, Bryce and that boy over there ain't the same category.
00:27:44 But should we bench him now?
00:27:45 Like and save him from we should.
00:27:47 I think I think we should not bench him because I think there's still an opportunity for him
00:27:52 to develop.
00:27:53 Right.
00:27:54 So like you can use this, you know, we're going to Tennessee.
00:27:58 It's an away game.
00:27:59 They're through.
00:28:00 They won three games.
00:28:02 It's an opportunity for him to establish some confidence.
00:28:06 You know, I'm saying like, you don't want to just end this train like, you know, he's
00:28:13 got how many games they got left?
00:28:15 So eight, eight.
00:28:17 Yeah, eight.
00:28:18 Yeah, eight.
00:28:19 So there's still a game left.
00:28:22 Right.
00:28:23 So I was I was saving next four games after the next four games.
00:28:28 Let's have a meeting and let's talk.
00:28:31 You know, I'm saying like, but these next four games like the holidays, you know, the
00:28:37 extended like it's his first season.
00:28:39 You want him to feel exhausted.
00:28:42 You want him to go through that rookie year of feeling how long an NFL season is and deal
00:28:50 with the woes right now.
00:28:52 I mean, this is a character building season for the guys are going to be here next year
00:28:57 and the years to come.
00:28:58 And these years are absolutely needed for a team to be successful.
00:29:04 You got to figure out what the nucleus is going to be like in years to come.
00:29:08 You look at it.
00:29:09 Everybody talks about the teams that the Panthers have been successful in.
00:29:14 Those teams didn't come from, oh, like they've been good their whole entire career.
00:29:19 No, it came from a nucleus of the two and 14 season.
00:29:25 You know, the the Super Bowl run that you lost to the Patriots and they, you know, the
00:29:32 year they drafted Julius Peppers, like there's been like an establishment of, you know, teams
00:29:39 that have created an identity for what the Panthers once were.
00:29:44 And so right now they have to go through that same Panther fans hold buckle up and get in
00:29:50 that that that car that has no suspension on the dirt on a dirt road where a bunch of
00:29:57 potholes in it, Joe track and and just deal with it.
00:30:01 You go.
00:30:02 It's a bumpy ride right now.
00:30:03 You know why you don't bench price because you've got to get reputed repetitions out
00:30:10 of him.
00:30:11 If we go all the way back to that season opener in Atlanta, right?
00:30:16 Jesse Bates picks him off twice.
00:30:17 And you know why?
00:30:19 Because Bryce is not expecting a safety to make him.
00:30:23 No pun intended.
00:30:24 Bait him into that type of a throw a second time.
00:30:27 He learned from that.
00:30:28 You don't get those when you're sitting.
00:30:30 Yes, you can see it.
00:30:31 But until you're actually on the field and going through it and you see these things
00:30:34 that the defense is presenting you, you don't really know how to answer it.
00:30:38 It might.
00:30:39 This is what you call growing pains, right?
00:30:42 This is the time where if you want to go through growing pains, you might as well do it when
00:30:46 you're one and not and and not where you're you're fighting for the playoffs.
00:30:51 So I think you've got to keep him out there.
00:30:54 And like Stu said, if you get to the last three, two, three, four games of the season
00:30:58 and you still have one win and Bryce is just taking a beating and you can see it starting
00:31:02 to wear on him.
00:31:03 Absolutely.
00:31:04 At that point, make the switch there, Andy, out there for the last couple of games and
00:31:09 you go from there.
00:31:10 But right now, I think there's too much out there for Bryce to either improve on or correct
00:31:15 or just gain that experience.
00:31:16 So that way, when he's there next year, he's your starting quarterback of the future.
00:31:22 He's going to be there next year, starting week one.
00:31:24 He's got to understand what things are going to be thrown at him.
00:31:27 And he's got to see these things up close and in person right now.
00:31:31 So my two issues with both you guys just said, I don't necessarily disagree with it at all.
00:31:36 It's just a question that I felt we needed to ask at the halfway point of the season.
00:31:40 I'm worried because on one hand, we all kind of think that, I don't know if any of us think
00:31:45 Frank Wright's going to be here next year at this point.
00:31:47 Like even if they wait to the end of the season and then let him go and whatever happens with
00:31:52 the staff at that point.
00:31:53 So you're going to have a brand new voice or voices in Bryce Young's head next year.
00:31:58 So whatever he's learning this year, he's going to have to unlearn next year and do
00:32:02 this all over again.
00:32:05 In some points, but I think too, you got to think if Rick is truly on the hot seat, he
00:32:11 can't start Andy Dalton.
00:32:14 David Tepper is not going to let him do that.
00:32:16 I wouldn't think, right?
00:32:18 I mean, if he's, if he's, you're saying like you, you're, you're, I don't know what those
00:32:23 meetings are like.
00:32:24 I don't know if he brings up the job security to Frank or not, but I'm pretty sure Frank
00:32:28 knows how to read a room.
00:32:30 Have you seen Frank Wright?
00:32:31 I'm pretty sure he's told him a couple of times at this point, like each week, it's
00:32:34 probably a little loud.
00:32:35 And here's, and here's the beginning of this kid.
00:32:39 Number one, you drafted this kid.
00:32:42 Number one, he wants to see him work with that kid that they drafted.
00:32:46 Number one and see progress.
00:32:48 He doesn't care what Andy Dalton looks like in this offense with Frank, right?
00:32:52 He wants to see what Bryce Young looks like and whether there's progression or not.
00:32:58 That's the only way David Tepper can make a call on Frank, right?
00:33:01 He can't make it based off what Andy Dalton does.
00:33:03 You know, to be honest and to be honest, like you're not going to really figure out who
00:33:08 Bryce Young is this year.
00:33:10 No, not even till maybe not even till 2025.
00:33:13 Yeah.
00:33:14 Cause this is not, let's just get that out the window right now.
00:33:19 We just talking about Bryce Young getting these reps.
00:33:22 Yeah.
00:33:23 What is it like, Hey, look, we need you to go out there and fight for your life and learn
00:33:27 how to do it.
00:33:28 Good luck.
00:33:29 Good luck.
00:33:30 I'm gonna follow.
00:33:31 Get on out there.
00:33:32 Says no leave him and let him utilize RPO more which he ran in Alabama
00:33:36 Like I don't understand why they're not doing this they ran RPO did a lot of bubble screens and things like that
00:33:40 We don't do any of that stuff really
00:33:42 He can develop a lot of D reading experience that way and get him out of a dangerous pocket
00:33:47 I keep seeing this image of Michael Parsons like
00:33:50 On his backside like coming like you can see it on the TV like him coming and you're I'm screaming. See no
00:33:58 Bryce get rid of the ball get rid of the ball. I like having a time to say it three times before yes
00:34:03 I
00:34:04 Remember y'all remember seeing the acid part the first one. Yeah, remember when that Raptor was in the kitchen
00:34:10 You just in there watching it like
00:34:23 It's like cuz I feel like Bryce should know especially in that Dallas game after the the first Michael Parsons sack cuz you don't begin
00:34:29 Seven overall Michael parts that two and a half of those after the first one
00:34:32 I'm looking for Michael Parsons every play like I shouldn't even took the first snap. I'm looking for Micah
00:34:37 Pregame like I want to know where he's at when he's getting water does
00:34:41 You know what makes this worse, I don't know if you remember back
00:34:46 I think this is when I first started on here with you that that was that year's draft where Mike Michael pars
00:34:53 And I can't 28 yeah
00:34:55 Yeah, this is before like he kind of got into this elite player that he is
00:35:01 But and there were some questions about him coming out of college for some reason
00:35:04 But I was like this is the guy that you want if you're Carolina
00:35:08 Whatever they were number seven or number eight because you can pair him with with Shaq Tom to 21 21
00:35:14 21 okay, so you compare him with Shaq Thompson and he could be kind of like that that replacement for Luke Eakley
00:35:21 Could you imagine Mike Mike Parsons on this defense man Brian Burns and Derek?
00:35:26 I mean we get closer to the draft and there's all this chatter about
00:35:30 That they're probably looking at a cornerback and we're me and you were both thinking it's Patrick Sertain, right? Yeah
00:35:37 Yeah, I remember that and then they take JC horn and they don't even get what I mean
00:35:42 And there's the jury still out on JC
00:35:44 But I don't think it's it's it's a far-fetched thing to say that Patrick Sertain is definitely the number one corner from that class
00:35:51 like he is
00:35:53 playing
00:35:55 So they had two guys there that I mean I'm not saying that we're always right we've said a lot of things wrong but
00:36:01 Jace Eric Patrick Sertain and
00:36:03 Micah Parsons we were pretty much pounding the table for I
00:36:07 Don't know but Panthers weren't the only one to pass up on Micah that brings up actually a question. I wrote down
00:36:13 I thought we'd be pretty cool for today because
00:36:15 David Tapper's on this team
00:36:17 Six is the sixth season on this team and it's gonna be a six losing season as owner of the team
00:36:22 He took over in 2018 if I'm not mistaken
00:36:24 Think of all the choices that David Tepper
00:36:29 Has made over the past six years with this franchise with the roster with coaches with general managers and everything else
00:36:35 if you could do a tepid do-over and
00:36:38 Redo one thing that he did he's done since he's been the owner of the franchise. What would you do?
00:36:45 I
00:36:47 Probably should prep y'all
00:36:49 You got to kind of think about it now because whatever you pick is gonna have ripple effect across everything after so you can go
00:36:58 It's almost like a Marvel movie like you can go back all the way to the beginning of the time I'll change something
00:37:03 It's gonna affect everything else. You know, I would say probably just give her on one more year
00:37:07 Just give her on one more year and if it doesn't work, then you can make the change
00:37:12 But I think it was too much of she wanted to get his own guy
00:37:15 And I understand that owners want to do that GM's want to do that
00:37:18 But I think he ripped the band-aid off just a little too soon
00:37:23 But I don't know that that changes anything. I mean they still have issues at quarterback
00:37:28 So, I mean you got the year you got fired Rivera went through like four quarterbacks that year, you know
00:37:32 Like cuz Cam got a will Kyle Allen. Yeah
00:37:36 It was rough and like that that was on my list because I felt like Ron deserved that he deserved the
00:37:42 Opportunity to rebuild the roster and he never got a chance to do that
00:37:46 Because he's a little bit. I think you know you guys think I think the the Ron Rivera
00:37:52 fire
00:37:53 could be one of things right and
00:37:55 Obviously, we would never know
00:37:58 And to Skyler's point
00:38:01 You need a quarterback what happened cam got hurt in every was never the same. Yeah, nothing was never the same and
00:38:09 That is what?
00:38:13 Really kind of started the ripple effect in my opinion and then you know, you get leaders like, you know
00:38:20 like
00:38:23 deeply retiring and then you get
00:38:26 Greg Olson getting you know, then letting Greg Olson leave
00:38:31 Thomas Davis, yeah, I don't see Hawks Thomas Davis goes to
00:38:35 What the commanders I think it was
00:38:38 No, he went to the chart or was it the chart?
00:38:41 I was the charges first and then he went to the charges first and then went to command
00:38:44 So I mean you get you talk about that nucleus, right? I was talking about earlier where?
00:38:48 You know you
00:38:51 part of that nucleus
00:38:53 something happens that's tragic that causes this ripple effect of like okay a new era and
00:39:00 Do you just rip the band-aid off or
00:39:02 Do you utilize?
00:39:05 What's in the room? You know I'm saying and I feel like sometimes
00:39:09 You know, it doesn't necessarily need to be, you know, always black and white
00:39:15 You know Greg's this for a reason so and and I think too with
00:39:21 With when you go back to like
00:39:26 All the decisions that were made like I don't I don't know that there's really one thing in particular that would really change anything
00:39:32 Because again, it comes down to quarterbacks and
00:39:35 Carolina wasn't that was unexpected with camp, right?
00:39:40 Like you can't prepare for that that type of injury to happen when you lose a star quarterback like that
00:39:45 It's typically gonna send you into a tailspin
00:39:47 Indianapolis like they kind of got lucky throughout the years. They were they had Peyton Manning for years
00:39:54 They he got hurt and they kind of knew all along look we're gonna take a quarterback number one
00:39:59 They got Andrew Luck, but they still had a decision whether they could keep Peyton Manning or not
00:40:03 So they found a great situation green Bay
00:40:05 They had Brett far for years had Aaron Rodgers sitting behind him like he was ready to take the torch like 25 years
00:40:12 Yeah
00:40:13 Greer will Greer as much as I love the guy and I know his family and great people and covered him and you know
00:40:20 He wasn't gonna be that guy even though they drafted him to be he wasn't going to be that guy
00:40:26 behind camp and
00:40:28 Right say the same about Kyle Allen or whoever else but they didn't have that guy waiting in the wings
00:40:34 I think mine and I
00:40:36 Floated around the past couple of weeks the whole Matt rule there all that stuff fine
00:40:41 You're new owner. You want you guy in there? I get all that. I keep coming back to the McCaffrey trade
00:40:46 That's the one thing because that if you ripple from that point on
00:40:50 I think I got to a point where it's like you don't trade top 10
00:40:53 Picks like you don't trade those like the dudes that you drafted in the top 10 over all the draft and they've proven their worth
00:41:00 You don't trade them in their prime and that's what we did. We traded Christian McCaffrey. You know, I think I
00:41:05 Don't have a problem with the trade because we kind of talked about
00:41:08 Like if you're gonna trade him now's the time to do it because he was actually healthy for the first time in forever
00:41:13 But we shouldn't trade. That's my
00:41:16 What you got in return is the issue you didn't get much in return if you get a first round pick or something
00:41:23 Essentially equates to first round pick I don't know about all that but I
00:41:33 Think you needed to get more out of that trade
00:41:35 I don't mind the trade personally and that and see in that that you know, what reminded me of last night
00:41:41 They were talking about or no. I saw it last night. I think it was on Twitter
00:41:45 I came across like a real or something where somebody was talking about the Deshaun Watson trade to Cleveland
00:41:50 People were sinners. I'm a house Houston so much better than Carolina right now
00:41:54 I think all of them have forgotten the loot they got back from Cleveland for trading to Sean Watson up there
00:41:59 They got three first round picks and a bunch of others - they still have a first and like a fourth out that trade
00:42:04 From Cleveland, they still have this
00:42:06 In Cleveland's paying 300 some million for the show
00:42:10 I'm just gonna say
00:42:11 Guaranteed he can't even play the rest of the year and they got tank Dell out of one of those drafts of draft picks they got
00:42:16 a
00:42:17 Couple of others that they got from those picks and that's how they kind of rebuilt pretty quick
00:42:22 We didn't have anything like that. We could have what McCaffrey but the way the trade went down
00:42:26 I just look at it like okay say they didn't trade McCaffrey because think of when it happened - it was the week after rule got
00:42:32 Fired Steve Wilkes would become the interim head coach. Why are you trading away your best player then?
00:42:37 Like why now like when he's finally on the field and you're trying to figure out what you want to do
00:42:41 You know, you're gonna run the ball
00:42:42 So why are you trading way a top three running back in the league that you just extended?
00:42:46 We just talked about this with DJ more if you still have McCaffrey. Maybe you don't want to
00:42:50 Put all your stuff in one barrel and trade up to number one to get Bryce young or even if you do you got more stuff
00:42:55 To play with to do it. You're still gonna have three here
00:42:57 I would imagine McCaffrey being here with Bryce young would be easier on Bryce young
00:43:01 He'd have that check down that he didn't seem to have a check down when he's
00:43:05 Drifting back like we got so used to seeing McCaffrey is the check down for all these other quarterbacks
00:43:09 Who's the check down for Bryce young? It seems like you didn't have one drawn in
00:43:13 Yeah, he's not looking at whoever the check down supposed to be
00:43:18 But if you still have McCaffrey in this what-if situation then you probably don't trade DJ more cuz you're not moving up
00:43:27 You still sign somebody like an Andy Dalton like you had in the past three or four years
00:43:32 Like a Teddy Bridgewater or Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnell?
00:43:35 Andy Dalton out of all those would have more experience and could just come in and go and he's coming in with offense with Christian
00:43:41 McCaffrey DJ more and a pretty decent offensive line or in a defense has played well the past three or four years like then that
00:43:47 Seemed like something that would interest you or or you or you take a gap a gap year and let PJ start a whole year
00:43:54 Yeah, or just or resign Sam for a year. What's up?
00:43:58 PJ PJ Walker beat the 49ers. Yeah, all these dudes that left here don't Baker Mayfield playing well in Tampa
00:44:06 Sammy playing but he's probably the best as a backup to Brock party in San Francisco
00:44:15 So we could have signed Sam for another year and I got a question go for it
00:44:19 and
00:44:20 You can record this and post it on Instagram because I want everybody on social media to answer this question
00:44:27 Oh
00:44:29 What is one thing
00:44:31 Because right now the fans like this is a shout out to the fans like we see you
00:44:38 We hurt with you
00:44:41 The question here is just what one thing
00:44:51 Would make
00:44:56 Everything better
00:44:57 What's the one thing that would make everything better right now? I'm not talking about going back into the past
00:45:04 And I'm not even necessarily talking about going
00:45:08 You know into the future right now. What is the one thing that would make your experience?
00:45:15 And we know winning will cure all
00:45:19 But what thing would you do?
00:45:22 that turkeys are
00:45:25 I
00:45:27 I'd let
00:45:30 I want to know what y'all doing. What's gonna make this feel better?
00:45:35 I would really the reality is that we in it we are in it two feet in the mud
00:45:40 I'm more worried about losing our coordinators at this point
00:45:43 Not necessarily Thomas Browne. Yeah, you get that girl. You get a comp pick
00:45:48 Yeah, I want to keep
00:45:55 Jero, I want to keep him. I actually I want him to be the interim head coach like the past couple weeks
00:46:00 Especially I've been listening to his press conferences. He sounds like what I want a head coach to sound like it's the
00:46:04 Damn, it's the same thing that happened with Steve Wilkes last year because Wilkes
00:46:09 Sounded like a head coach, right? Like we we bought it
00:46:12 Yeah, I was like, I'm gonna go play for this dude and he rose kind of the same way now Thomas Brown
00:46:19 He has a mean press conference to like I feel him when he's up there. He he feels like he's got his stuff together
00:46:24 Frank Wright feels like he's kind of he's not in that word salad place that Matt rules that how he's like
00:46:30 he's very happy with what he says, but sometimes he says too much and
00:46:33 It's like he's trying to explain everything and we don't need to know everything Frank like what we don't need to know how the sauce is
00:46:40 Made just bring us some sauce. It's good. Don't bring us this sauce. That's whatever this
00:46:45 Appreciate his trans his transparency
00:46:48 I do I do appreciate his transparency because he could be like Matt rule where he's kind of throwing players under the bus
00:46:54 And not really explaining that I need to look at the tape in the day
00:46:57 he could be all that but he's been pretty whatever questions cuz uh
00:47:01 Bass I heard and Sheena quick and some of these others in there they Joe person
00:47:07 They've been giving him some like tough like questions like to act like right after a game like so
00:47:13 Coach, uh, do you think you're gonna be fired on Tuesday? Like I'm how are you supposed to answer that?
00:47:22 Football team is what he would like to see and that would make that would save the fan base half the team
00:47:29 earlier was
00:47:31 What will save the fan base? How about that? I'll put it this way. Well, we'll save the fan what will save the fan base
00:47:38 right now
00:47:40 What is a competitive football team
00:47:49 The turkey thing could be a real thing you could eat so much turkey that you're tired you sleep through the game on Sunday
00:47:54 Mark one thing Tepper isn't allowed in the building. I one thing I will say because I keep seeing people
00:48:08 Mentioned that Tepper should sell the team like it's a public decision or something like that
00:48:15 David Tepper bought this team for what 2.5 billion dollars or something five years ago. They're now worth close to five
00:48:20 He's on this team. Like why would he why would he sell this team?
00:48:23 Yeah, like he's in he's doubled the value of the team in six years without a winning season like he has no reason to sell
00:48:30 The team so please get off that he ain't gonna sell the team because some kid and Concord feels like he should sell the team
00:48:35 Because he's ruining the franchise. Like I keep seeing this sentiment. He should sell the team like like Tepper cares
00:48:41 He don't care that we're mad about this stuff like he
00:48:45 But not enough to miss out on another four billion dollars if he just holds the team for another four years like I mean
00:48:53 You want to get on this Frank Reich stuff? Yeah, let's do it
00:48:58 Here's what I was telling the guys before the show and obviously by now you probably understand it
00:49:07 Nothing's happening this week. But the reason why well, I would say the reason but I would assume one of the reasons why
00:49:12 Nothing's happening this week is because yesterday you had the Bradley Bozeman turkey thing at Topgolf tonight. You have the Christmas lighting
00:49:19 of the tree and
00:49:22 You also have Thanksgiving the practice schedules altered this week. So they're not practicing Thursday
00:49:27 They're not practicing today. If you make a coaching change this week, you're changing everything that means
00:49:36 Responsibilities are shifted. You're gonna have to bring guys in on Thanksgiving to make it work in time. It's there's just no
00:49:42 Way logistically that that would make any sense to make that move this week. That makes sense. I also think
00:49:49 You kinda you kinda know
00:49:52 Like are you kind of knew like last year?
00:49:55 We talked about that deja vu feeling right with the Niners and the Cowboys thing
00:49:58 But you kind of already knew at that point rule was not the guy and I'm not saying that Frank could end up being the
00:50:05 right guy
00:50:06 But when you hire a guy and he's only in his first season, you're David Tepper. You want to make damn sure that
00:50:12 That he isn't the guy right because I mean you just hired this guy
00:50:18 You don't want to fire him and be paying three head coaches. Oh
00:50:21 You got you're still paying rule. Yep. You're paying Frank and you're paying the new coach
00:50:27 Either way either way he got his money, right?
00:50:31 You don't want to have to pay two buyouts and then pay a new coaching staff all over again
00:50:37 So that's I don't think we may see this go all the way to the end of the season
00:50:41 I will use and that goes back to all same before I'm afraid coordinators gonna leave like because
00:50:45 They just saw what happened to Thomas Brown, right? We talked about this last week
00:50:49 He got three games to prove that he could do something and then Frank had to snatch it back granted
00:50:53 Frank is basically trying to land an airplane with no
00:50:57 Landing gear at this point like he took the he took the stick back
00:51:00 It's like if we're gonna land this thing, it's gonna be me and everyone behind like this much runway left
00:51:04 Yeah, I was like no Frank the landing gear don't work and Frank's like I don't care
00:51:08 I've already been told I got a land this plane. So I'm landing this plane. So he's he's gonna land this plane now
00:51:13 I don't know what's gonna look like when he lands it but I
00:51:15 Feel like Thomas Brown is not gonna be here next year
00:51:19 He did an excellent job in that press conference last week, basically
00:51:24 Having to answer questions as to what happened and he sounded like he didn't really know quite himself what happened
00:51:29 But he answered in an adult manner like where it's not gonna I don't think it's gonna I hope it doesn't affect him
00:51:35 Professionally going forward with getting jobs or whatever, but I can't imagine him staying here. Like why would he stay here if
00:51:41 It could just be yanked from you on a whim and it seems like a lot of the choices being made are being made
00:51:49 From Panthers Twitter. I swear. I think David Tepper sits in the basement of his million-dollar house and
00:51:54 Just goes to Panther Twitter and makes his decisions off of this because every time they make a big decision of firing a trade
00:52:00 It's so eerie like it always
00:52:07 Realized
00:52:17 But this man is a billionaire for a reason he's got all types of things that he's got to do
00:52:22 Yeah, not like he ain't busy. He got other stuff
00:52:24 You know what it does feel like though is like
00:52:28 I'm not I'm not suggesting that this is happening
00:52:32 But it kind of makes it kind of makes some bit of sense like you start out. Oh and six
00:52:39 Maybe there is frustration from ownership and the front office and maybe that pressure from those two groups
00:52:47 Coming down on Reich made that switch to Thomas happen
00:52:51 And then you see the Thomas thing not paying out and there's that picture again where okay
00:52:56 Maybe let's go back and try and refix that. Yes
00:52:59 I can see that I don't know if that was a hundred percent a Frank right call to hand over the play calls
00:53:04 When it did I don't know we may never know
00:53:07 I'm just saying it makes sense that that could have been a pressured
00:53:10 Decision and then the pressure decision to take it back the the the I did to switch the defense to a 3-4
00:53:15 Like I've heard that people go that was a David Tepper thing
00:53:17 He wanted to run 3-4 why cuz the Pittsburgh Steelers have run 3-4 for the past 60 years or whatever
00:53:22 And that's where he came from and that's what he wanted them all the franchise by him, even though
00:53:25 technically at the time and really still today the roster didn't fit a 3-4 like they kind of had to
00:53:31 Shoehorn in some players in some spots and still there's still you know glaring. Well, that's a big problem is
00:53:38 Even if you make a coaching change
00:53:42 It's not gonna change the results because it's still largely the same coaching staff
00:53:47 And it's still the same players that don't fit in the scheme that you're running
00:53:52 Offensively or defensively we talked about this week after week. You're running a zone scheme running
00:53:58 For an offensive line that is downhill place power and trap. Oh, this is not a
00:54:04 Team that likes to get it outside
00:54:06 Africa completely completely forgot about that. I'm glad you're mine
00:54:10 I
00:54:12 Did it again at the press conference
00:54:14 On Monday, he did it again
00:54:17 Somebody asked him a question about the run game and he was talking about how you had Bryce under center a couple times that long
00:54:23 17 play drive that they had and they scored a touchdown on it even that they made that look hard, you know, like
00:54:28 down the field and
00:54:30 He said something again about the line and no one I think was Vashti that asked the question
00:54:35 the they're not a physical team that wants to
00:54:39 Sir, I wasn't talking about them running the ball. Well, yeah something about that
00:54:43 It's the same vein of what he said the week before that. They're not a smash mouth team
00:54:46 But he basically admitted in the comment that he understands that the offensive line strength. That's that's what it was
00:54:52 She was asking him about
00:54:54 Last year and when he came in why they kept the offensive line together and what were they playing?
00:55:00 What was the plan?
00:55:00 Did you know they weren't a good pass blocking team line or whatever?
00:55:03 And he kind of was like no we kept him because we that was a strength of the team last year
00:55:07 that they were a power running team and
00:55:09 We felt like we could benefit from that and I'm listening to the thing with my arms crossed like Frank man, Frank
00:55:16 Like you just why would you?
00:55:18 Why would you come in?
00:55:21 And change what they do
00:55:23 Well, you're running like a spread offense with like a power run line
00:55:26 And then you're not even trying really to run power and when you do try to do it on Sunday
00:55:30 It actually worked and you scored a touchdown and now you're in the press conference like yeah, but that's not what we want to do
00:55:36 We don't want to do that. Well, what do you want to do Frank?
00:55:38 Like what do you want to do because we don't there's no identity with the offense
00:55:42 I cannot figure out what they're trying to do and we're in week 12
00:55:45 What's the reason why the tight ends are not involved in a passing game no, he works everywhere
00:55:52 Frank Reich has been the tight ends are
00:55:56 Vital, I mean they are heavily targeted in Frank Reich system. I don't understand why
00:56:03 I watched the Chicago Bears last week when they played us was it last week. No
00:56:08 Technically, yeah, almost two Thursdays ago. Yes. Yeah, but like
00:56:14 How do you how do you say there there commit is that how you say
00:56:19 Man listen
00:56:25 That boy
00:56:27 Like to me that was a difference maker in that game
00:56:30 Like he was picking up pivotal like third down second downs
00:56:34 You have a tight end in a running game
00:56:38 It takes a lot off of the quarterback
00:56:42 It takes a lot off of those receivers and it takes a lot off the offensive line if you utilize them and yes
00:56:49 I'm questioning like like, you know, what tremble scored the touchdown, right?
00:56:56 Yeah. Yeah, so like let let's let's let's take that moment and create momentum like let's feed this guy, right?
00:57:04 Let's get him some some reps where some meaningful reps where he's actually being you know
00:57:10 the choice on
00:57:13 plays your calling because I'm like when we when Greg was
00:57:18 cams guy
00:57:20 That's when we were at our best. Yes
00:57:23 Yeah, when every you look at every time like last night the Kennesaw City Chiefs. I
00:57:28 Can't name many of their receivers right now, but I know who I know who makes that offense go
00:57:34 Travis Kelsey
00:57:37 Okay, and and without Travis Kelsey
00:57:40 You know
00:57:43 Patrick my homes is just my homeboy, you know, and and that's and I'm that's I'm that that's not saying anything bad about his ability
00:57:51 He's one of the best quarterbacks that probably play this game
00:57:54 But Travis Kelsey has elevated his experience at the quarterback position
00:57:59 There's there's times where Kelsey's running and there's like no one around him. I'm like, how's this dude wide open?
00:58:04 You know who he is like wiser running because he's not running routes, bro. He just he just run
00:58:09 This is the area you want me over here in this area, right?
00:58:19 That makes too much sense that why would they have not invested in a tight end?
00:58:23 Well, I guess they did they brought in Hayden Hurst, but they're not really using Tommy
00:58:27 Trimble's kind of become that number one tight end
00:58:29 I guess
00:58:29 but that reminded me of something else to that when I was
00:58:32 Making that tweet about Bryce not climbing the pocket and people were talking about all the pressure
00:58:35 We see all this pressure from these teams now where they're not even like really blitz and they're just getting there with their front for
00:58:40 a lot of times and
00:58:42 Yeah, yeah
00:58:44 They're doing stunts and stuff and just kind of confusing our offensive line and people are like well
00:58:49 Most of us coming up the middle and I saw a lot of people hating on Brad Bozeman on Twitter the past couple of days
00:58:54 To the point where his wife had to take a tweet down
00:58:57 Y'all need to calm down on some of that stuff like these guys are out here trying to play like this is they're not out
00:59:02 Here for for for giggles like they're trying to do what they're being told to do
00:59:06 But my question what Bryce is why don't they run more bootlegs?
00:59:09 It's like like they would do we can't like they run them out to the left run out to the right Joe Burrow does this
00:59:13 Where he's clearly better on the move. Yeah, he's on the move and no huddle
00:59:17 Why and they started doing a little bit of that more Sunday to where?
00:59:20 If you give him a lot of time like we got a huddle and you got think and look at everything
00:59:24 If he has all his time the process
00:59:26 It's almost like he's processing too much and like he can't
00:59:28 Make a quick decision because there's a lot of times where he's dropped back to pass
00:59:32 I'm like that ball should already been out Bryce that ball should already been out and he's just kind of
00:59:36 Hold it's like a coverage. I'll tell you I'll tell you. Yeah, I bought those
00:59:39 Took the words out of my mouth
00:59:45 All the receivers and all the targets are covered
00:59:48 Yeah, so just watching holding on to the ball is basic because ain't nobody over throw it out
00:59:53 Throw it out of bounds or something cuz Micah Parsons remember 20 minutes ago, Michael
00:59:56 See it on TV like we know the sack is about that's the worst feeling in the world when you know a sacks about to happen
01:00:05 And you're at home watching it and rappers in the kitchen. You just like
01:00:08 And you soon get hit and like you're like, all right, Bryce. Just just get up just get up right and he gets
01:00:14 They had the three consecutive sacks at the end of the game. That was rough
01:00:18 But I mean again, I don't I really don't think this is an indictment on those guys on the offensive line
01:00:24 I actually and this is maybe a hot take I don't know
01:00:27 But I actually think those guys on the offensive line some of them like a Taylor Moten Austin Corbett Bozeman and even Ikea quantum
01:00:34 I think those guys are good players
01:00:36 They're just not being put in a system that caters to what they do
01:00:41 Well, if they're playing in a system like they did last year or they go somewhere else in free agency or they get trade or whatever
01:00:48 It wouldn't surprise me to see them play. Well, they're just not being as they do what they're they don't they don't make comfortable
01:00:54 They just don't that's what Panther players do
01:00:57 They're here, you know
01:00:58 and then when they leave they blow up and and are great and the Panther fan base like what a
01:01:02 Problem is y'all wanted to the problem is right
01:01:05 If this staff stays in place or even if it doesn't we're probably gonna see some changes on that offensive line
01:01:11 Well, guess what Bowman's under contract? He just signed a three-year deal. Yeah Corbett is on a multi-year deal
01:01:17 I think he'd be entering his last year. Yep. Moten is still under contract. Yeah extended
01:01:22 He was on a rookie deal. So regardless if you're making a change at the starting five
01:01:27 You're gonna have some dead money somewhere
01:01:30 Who's it gonna be? Who are you getting rid of?
01:01:32 Why don't we just play to their strengths and say let me they just need to get that left
01:01:39 That left guard position just needs a little help. That's all
01:01:42 This Brady Christiansen. How much does that?
01:01:45 Because I think he's the forgotten thing in all this because he hasn't really been a part of the struggles
01:01:50 Yeah, he was out in the first game
01:01:52 We don't really have an answer on Brady is Corbett calling the line place. I noticed that when I was watching
01:01:58 Sunday - it looks like Corbett's the one
01:02:01 Just given up those to go ahead to snap. Okay, cuz you can see him standing up
01:02:06 He's looking at Bryce or whatever and then you know, he sits down and points or whatever does the thing?
01:02:11 I don't know
01:02:12 Is he calling out the line now or is it Bozeman or I don't know?
01:02:14 It just seems like night and day especially with Bozeman cuz Bozeman we were raving about Bozeman last year and how the line
01:02:19 He's a he's a downhill guy. He'll got not he's not this this
01:02:24 Zone scheme like I don't even know how to really dumb it down because it's just it's it's literally this it's as simple as this
01:02:32 square peg round hole
01:02:35 How many time how many weeks are you gonna keep trying to put it in there? Because it clearly is not working
01:02:40 We can't score
01:02:41 If a team we said this last week if a team gets up by like double digits on us
01:02:45 It's it's almost like it's done right at that point because we're not we're not built to come back like the way this offense is
01:02:51 I feel really bad for the defense because the defense is playing pretty well. I thought I saw going into that game
01:02:56 They were like seventh overall and yards allowed which was shocking to me
01:03:01 I was like, how is that possible and I started thinking well
01:03:03 Short fields and you know that kind of stuff
01:03:05 So yeah, I guess I could kind of see it but they haven't really had their defense out there all year
01:03:09 The starters have been hurt
01:03:11 We haven't really had a full secondary healthy since the first quarter of week one and for them to be playing this
01:03:19 well is a telltale sign that
01:03:21 Ebro probably will be a head coach. He's probably get interviews for head coach this year when it's over
01:03:27 Even though the pants are gonna be like two and whatever
01:03:30 Just because of the strength of the defense and how they played now. What do you do going forward? That was the question we had
01:03:36 earlier in the show, I
01:03:39 don't know if you can do anything going forward other than just continue to
01:03:43 Keep
01:03:47 I'm gonna continue to do the same thing because
01:03:49 Mmm, Tennessee is coming up here next and they got a similar situation
01:03:54 Their coaches like kind on a hot seat now - they're not similar baby. I'm gonna tell you why they're not similar
01:04:00 Oh
01:04:02 Do we see will love us this week you got that they got that boy called Derrick Henry
01:04:11 Steve Derrick Henry doing this year because I
01:04:14 He ain't doing what he usually do but I can tell you I can tell you he's looking at us like, huh?
01:04:21 All right, barbecue chicken
01:04:24 Barbecue chicken on Sunday for the Dallas kind of that man ran on us a little bit
01:04:30 I think we suppose Dallas a defense a little bit with us running on them
01:04:32 Like I think the Eagles and the 49ers looking at like, okay when we see on January
01:04:37 Was pretty good team, but they know that I'm what I'm riding with Detroit the Detroit a -
01:04:44 The optics again
01:04:48 Losing the Dallas Cowboys is not like I think everyone even David Tepper probably knew that this was gonna happen, right?
01:04:54 The optics though. This is this is where it really gets dicey for Frank and company because if you lose you can't lose the Tennessee
01:05:02 Will Levis led Tennessee you will love us you lose to Tyson Bajan
01:05:08 Now the optics are starting to look really bad and it looks like that Houston game was just an anomaly
01:05:13 Yeah
01:05:16 Looking back on I'm like the world did we beat Houston like it was the defense our defense basically
01:05:20 They lights out that day and despite the offense not really be able to score and Julius Peppers was on the field for halftime
01:05:27 That's right. Yes, Muhammad. They were they was showing out for them
01:05:30 So you had to win that game like you had to win that game
01:05:32 I forgot
01:05:33 Shout out to Derrick Brown Derrick Brown had that one play or like he literally hit the dude as he was getting the hell
01:05:46 On the ground and just walked all ragdoll that was the one time in that game I was like, ooh
01:05:50 Like I was excited about I don't say this my boy Derrick Brown
01:05:53 You got it. You got to keep these dudes. Like I was saying earlier in the show
01:05:56 You can't trade your top 10 picks
01:05:58 You can't you can't keep the cycle of trading them off you trade it off DJ more you trade a McCaffrey way
01:06:04 Don't trade Derrick Brown. Don't trade Brian Burns. Don't trade
01:06:07 These dudes are supposed to be the the studs you're gonna build whatever's next with all these dudes are in their prime
01:06:12 Like why are you trading them away? And if you are you're not getting back what you're losing from them
01:06:18 So guys you can build with them does I hate to say this. I really know
01:06:23 I've experienced losing as a Pittsburgh Pirates fan for nearly my entire life and it's starting to feel like
01:06:33 This team is becoming the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NFL because as soon as the Pirates get a good player, right?
01:06:40 They don't pay them or they just trade them. They live in
01:06:43 purgatory forever and
01:06:46 I'm not saying that there's not a light at the end of this tunnel
01:06:50 but man that thing is very dead and it's starting to feel like
01:06:54 they may be just the Pirates of the NFL or
01:06:57 the new Cleveland Browns and that's even
01:06:59 We want to be the Cleveland Browns
01:07:05 What they doing right now?
01:07:07 It's starting, you know the speaking of the Browns remember how they had that guy had the jersey that just duct-taped of all the quarterback
01:07:13 Name. Yeah, it's starting to become that with all the coaches potentially a Frank. It's fire
01:07:18 I need to go find that video. There was a video that came out maybe 10 years ago
01:07:22 it's a dude standing out in front of Cleveland Brown Stadium and he's just going on and on about how like
01:07:27 for some reason like the city of Cleveland allows this team to affect their like
01:07:32 Mentality like every Sunday and he's just like you're he screams like you are a factory of sadness
01:07:36 I'll see you next week. I mean he like walks off like he's resigned to the fact that he's gonna be there
01:07:43 Anyway, I'm a fun that video cuz it's I have in-laws in Cleveland
01:07:47 So I hear it all the time in terms of you know what this is Brown
01:07:50 You know what you want to know what this season is really doing
01:07:54 It's creating true diehard
01:07:58 Panther fans waiting for somebody to say it. That's what
01:08:01 Diehard fans. Yeah, we're like
01:08:06 It's like in the heart especially nowadays with social media the receipts they're out there
01:08:12 So the diehard fans are gonna be like, yeah, you can come to the house. You come to the house. You can't
01:08:20 Yeah, you
01:08:22 Know you can't
01:08:24 Remember what you said?
01:08:27 Yeah
01:08:29 You go to the Super Bowl you can't come the Panthers are starting to become the old Detroit Lions man almost like
01:08:36 Could you say Arizona?
01:08:38 What would team was it that like kept firing guys like like every 18 months and then they was it?
01:08:43 I think it was Detroit where they just kind of fired a guy every year
01:08:47 I mean Houston Houston had had to use or to you wanted on coaches, right?
01:08:53 Kali and love you, right? Yeah. Yeah love you. I love you
01:08:56 And then yeah, then Kali came in for the interim or know that one year and then he's gone too
01:09:01 And now you got it right with D'Amico Ryan's
01:09:03 It's all about picking the right dude in the right culture and just Houston just got it, right?
01:09:07 And sometimes it's luck, you know
01:09:09 But getting the right quarterback getting that right head coach having all those picks and you still have a little no no begin with
01:09:16 They'll never admit it but Houston would take Bryce young if he was available number two
01:09:22 Yeah
01:09:24 He had the number one pick I mean if they had the number one pick they were gonna take brush
01:09:27 There were two Bryce young so I'm not worried about Bryce young in terms of did we make the right pick or whatever like that?
01:09:33 That's a conversation for another day. I'm worried about Bryson safety at this point. I want to make sure Bryce is okay
01:09:39 I got I want to see him in year two and year three
01:09:42 I don't want to happen to him what happened to Kyler Murray?
01:09:44 You know what?
01:09:45 I mean like I want to be able to for them to try to build around
01:09:48 I'm speaking of Kyle Murray that boy. He looked like he never got hurt. Yo, what I don't know what surgery happened to him
01:09:54 But yeah, you're right. Looks like he's almost faster like
01:09:57 Yeah, a see their chances for the the Caleb Williams sweepstake
01:10:03 Maybe I mean, would you take color Murray or I know we're up against time. Would you take color Murray or Caleb Williams?
01:10:17 I would take Caleb Williams because
01:10:20 By doing so you can trade Calimer and you know, you're gonna get something out of it
01:10:24 You're also you're gonna get a franchise quarterback in that song. You just keep Tyler
01:10:29 I'd almost rather keep Kyler and trade and draft Marvin Harrison jr. To go with him. You know what?
01:10:37 Because I think Marvin Harrison jr. Is gonna be the he might be the number one player pick by the time we get to the
01:10:44 Draft the way people are talking about him. So I'd pray don't don't sleep on Stu's guy now bone next is starting to
01:10:50 rise up
01:10:53 Let's go for organs or you might spoil this whole thing the playoff stuff because they're floating around and this Oregon State game this weekend
01:11:01 Is it is a huge?
01:11:02 game
01:11:04 for bone X yeah, because
01:11:06 Oregon State just lost to a very
01:11:10 They lost a hard game hard fought game against you dug in the rain elements all that
01:11:16 And they probably pissed off and it's in this, you know, it's a big game for Oregon as a state. Oh
01:11:23 You know, it's awesome prayers to his Jordan Travis the Florida State quarterback who got leg in
01:11:30 Yeah, and you know, I hope that everything's fine and he gets a chance to play in the pros because he was he started a
01:11:39 Program around like that program all the way around and I don't please do not drop Florida State because he got hurt because
01:11:46 Somebody brought this up to me the other day
01:11:47 They didn't drop well the playoffs didn't exist, but they didn't drop Ohio State when they were on Cardale Jones
01:11:52 He was the third string quarterback actually wasn't that was the first year the first year of the playoff like they
01:11:57 It was Barrett and somebody else and then and then it was Cardale Jones
01:12:02 That was playing for me boy my whole thing. So don't don't pun. Don't penalize Florida State because they lost their quarterback
01:12:09 Let this play out if they're undefeated ACC champ, they deserve being the playoff
01:12:13 I mean somebody's gonna get left out
01:12:15 Usually you got to kind of pull a guy or pull a team in to make it probably
01:12:18 Ohio Michigan whoever lose that's a nation game Saturday Ohio State Michigan that they're out like
01:12:26 Ducks man, they just gotta win this game be done and then we might be in there too
01:12:35 And then there's Alabama that's always just kind of there
01:12:38 They're going the whole thing watch that's what happened that's the script that I saw they're gonna
01:12:44 End up winning that seat. They're gonna beat, Georgia. They're gonna get in the playoff
01:12:48 They're gonna end up playing like Michigan or somebody in the national championship
01:12:51 They're gonna win and we're like, how did this happen again? And the Knicks avens gonna
01:12:54 Well, right all that down
01:12:57 Seen this movie before it's like we're it's like saw five like I've already saw this before
01:13:03 I know how it's kind of gonna end you see it you see them like they take that loss early and they just
01:13:09 Stay in the top eight the rest of the year and then right there at the very end. They snatched the SEC
01:13:13 They beat down whoever and we're like, why do we even doubt him in the first place? It's gonna be Alabama
01:13:19 just
01:13:20 saves a whole month of watching college football, so
01:13:22 baked turkey
01:13:26 smoked turkey or fried turkey Oh
01:13:28 If it's done right fried turkey
01:13:33 Yeah, but a lot of people don't know that it's a you know, yeah, they don't know how to do it baked
01:13:38 Probably make the marinated. So the way we're gonna go. Um
01:13:41 But I'm on meatball duty Thursday, so I'm making meatballs
01:13:46 favorite Thanksgiving dish
01:13:49 Baked mac and cheese
01:13:53 Me like this. It's homemade noodles
01:13:56 homemade noodles
01:14:00 Basically
01:14:02 It's like I don't even know how to describe it cuz I have to actually figure this out for my wife because she's like
01:14:07 What do you mean noodles?
01:14:09 But it's like they're like an off-white yellowish type noodle and it's kind of like it's not really cheesy
01:14:16 I don't know how to describe it. But my grandmother my dad's side makes it and it is
01:14:20 Out of this world. You're like like a egg noodles. Yeah
01:14:24 Like I really don't
01:14:28 Say was she
01:14:30 Looks not cheesy
01:14:32 mine is
01:14:35 Can I get to the games?
01:14:37 No, gosh, no me and my wife's mother the other day, I don't know how people love to taste the pumpkin
01:14:55 What no
01:14:57 Spice latte. I'll do a sweet potato pie. That's the
01:15:04 When you get a slice and you think it's sweet potato pie you bite into it it's pumpkin pie
01:15:22 Pick them for Thursday night or Thursday the turkey games
01:15:26 Packers lines, I'm going lines. Where is it Detroit? Yeah, they always right. Yeah, I'm going lines. They're playing too. Well, I don't know
01:15:36 Detroit Cowboys commanders. I got Cowboys
01:15:41 Where is that doubt Dallas always so sad house? No, Stu's on mute again. I got oh you can't hear me
01:15:48 the commanders
01:15:52 Oh
01:15:54 I'm very about to come in there. They
01:15:57 Read these tweets all of a sudden they talk about he on a hot seat. He like what that's when he's John
01:16:04 Turkey bone
01:16:08 And then I was gonna say if I didn't hear me about them Detroit Lions Detroit Lions
01:16:19 Yes, see you. I'm not team. I want to see and the last one is Niners at Seahawks
01:16:25 boy, does this
01:16:28 49ers boy. Yeah, because the sea looks have kind of fallen off a little bit haven't they the past like money and the Niners getting healthy again
01:16:36 Robert you just had a perfect casserole rating last Sunday last
01:16:44 Actually, actually last one egg bowl. Oh miss Mississippi State. Don't miss. Hmm. I
01:16:50 Don't know enough about
01:16:54 Somehow Thanksgiving could be good
01:17:08 Sweet potato pies dope dominoes said it best. I love that song matter of fact
01:17:14 people picking the
01:17:15 Commanders actually yams and sweet potatoes are different. We talked about Willie
01:17:19 Yeah, I'm super taters the same thing, bro
01:17:22 Nathan
01:17:23 And now we're gonna be questioning this all day. Are you I'm gonna be asking random people in Walmart are yams and sweet potatoes
01:17:29 Hook them down brother. It depends on where you grew up. I think yams is if you in South
01:17:40 Northern thing in the season of giving thanks. Thank you guys every week for tuning in to us
01:17:47 Yes, we have a blast doing this and yes, we couldn't do it without you guys and it's been it's been uh

01:18:13 If you haven't yet go follow us on our social media stuff. I'm hoping
01:18:19 Yams are actually
01:18:24 How did their route oh
01:18:29 Damn is a route. I
01:18:31 Thought a potato was rude. Yeah. Yeah, so sweet potatoes sweet potato pie is not a game wait
01:18:37 So we look like they just look like each other potatoes are
01:18:40 My life I really I've never thought about it all my life. I know is in the AMS coming I can
01:18:49 Know
01:18:55 Y'all they all are definitely turkey over this stupid ham crazy, right? I mean no, I mean sometimes it's okay to have both
01:19:01 It's gotta be inside. But yeah, you got
01:19:04 Three ends are a part of entirely different genus discourse. Okay, he went scientific on me. I'm gonna believe you will
01:19:09 When Willie first
01:19:22 They're gonna say to their same and I'm gonna have it in the chamber ready to go soon
01:19:25 Really? I appreciate you man keeping us educated
01:19:31 Never even thought of that just said yams and sweet potato pie
01:19:34 So on that no, they were gonna stop it right there
