00:00 G'day, I'm Paul.
00:01 I know, it looks like we've stepped back in time,
00:03 but this is actually a brand new vehicle here in Australia.
00:06 It's called the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series.
00:09 This one here is the cab chassis single cab variant.
00:11 It's the GXL, so it's the bee's knees of this range.
00:15 Today, we're gonna do a detailed review on this.
00:18 This one here is priced at just under $80,000.
00:22 If that's too expensive, the entire range kicks off
00:24 from a slightly more moderate $71,000.
00:28 There is a slight complication to this as well.
00:30 You cannot order these.
00:31 So about 12 months ago, Toyota stopped taking orders
00:34 'cause there is something like a two, three, four year wait
00:36 for these depending on the color and spec that you want.
00:39 Sorry to interrupt the video.
00:40 The new 70 Series logged after we filmed
00:43 our review of this car.
00:44 If you do wanna see more details on the new 70 Series,
00:48 along with details on the four-cylinder engine
00:50 they're launching, click up here to watch that.
00:52 If not, just watch the rest of this video
00:53 because it still applies if you have one on order.
00:56 We are reviewing it today because it is still, I guess,
00:59 a vehicle that you can buy, but ultimately,
01:01 if you do go to the dealership today,
01:02 it is gonna be hard to get one of these.
01:04 This competes with things like, I don't know,
01:05 the old Land Rover Defender, the new Ineos Grenadier
01:10 you think that they're working on.
01:11 There really aren't too many competitors to it.
01:14 So today, we're gonna do a little bit of light off-roading
01:16 and a standard review on this.
01:17 If you do wanna skip ahead to other parts of this review,
01:20 you can use the time codes on the screen,
01:21 or if you are on YouTube, you could scroll down
01:23 and use the chapters below.
01:25 And if you haven't done so already,
01:25 subscribe to our channel and press the bell icon
01:27 so you can find out every single time we step back in time.
01:31 Okay, let's talk design.
01:34 So you've got six colors to pick from,
01:35 Orbit White and Sandy Taupe,
01:38 which is the traditional 70 Series color.
01:41 Gonna set you back about 700 bucks.
01:43 What can I tell you about the design?
01:44 I mean, it is pretty straightforward.
01:46 This actually got an upgrade a little while ago
01:49 that added things like autonomous emergency braking,
01:52 stability control, side airbags.
01:54 So it is actually a safe vehicle
01:57 from that safety feature point of view,
01:59 especially here in the ute version,
02:02 which gets all of those safety features.
02:04 Outside of that, you've got this plastic bumper
02:06 down the front here with a little bit of chrome.
02:08 You've got plenty of space there to lob a winch
02:11 and a giant bull bar on there.
02:12 A little bit of cooling here for the diesel V8 engine.
02:15 It's got a top mount intercooler.
02:16 Outside of that, it's a pretty straightforward design
02:18 with additional cooling here for the engine.
02:20 You have just a standard set of halogen headlights there.
02:24 Nothing sort of too crazy with an indicator next to it.
02:26 No fog lights here on the single cab chassis.
02:29 You can get fog lights on other variants though.
02:31 Whip around to the side here.
02:33 You've got a set of 16 inch alloy wheels.
02:35 You've got front and rear diff locks, auto locking hubs,
02:37 and I'll run you through the rest of the four-wheel drive
02:39 specs when we do go for a bit more of a spin,
02:41 but plenty of rubber on that tire there,
02:43 which should mean that this actually rides not too badly.
02:46 Wheel arch cladding there, snorkel here.
02:49 Now, remind me, this looks like a much bigger indicator.
02:52 I seem to remember the 70 Series
02:53 had a smaller side indicator here,
02:55 so I don't know if they've changed that or not,
02:56 but that certainly looks different to me.
02:59 You've got sidesteps here.
03:00 These are proper sidesteps,
03:02 not the plastic stuff you find on other utes today.
03:06 Your wing mirrors are manually adjustable,
03:08 so nothing too fancy there.
03:09 There's definitely no camera or anything like that
03:12 located behind there.
03:14 So I keep in mind when you do buy this,
03:15 it's sold as a cab chassis,
03:17 so you don't actually have anything on the back.
03:18 You can then pay extra to get a tray
03:21 that's made by Toyota or whoever else you want,
03:24 or you can deck out the rear with whatever else you want.
03:26 But yeah, just keep in mind, when you do get it delivered,
03:28 it's not gonna have anything on the back here.
03:29 Before we go to the back, look at that, disc brakes.
03:31 You don't find that on a lot of dual cab utes today,
03:34 so it's good to see the thought of that.
03:35 And leaf sprung as well.
03:37 This actually has quite an impressive payload
03:39 that I'll run you through in a sec.
03:40 Welcome to the back of the 70 Series.
03:42 So 3 1/2 tonne braked towing capacity.
03:45 This recently also got an upgrade on its GCM,
03:47 so 6,900 kilos, which is really impressive.
03:50 When we did our recent SUV mega test
03:53 and also the ute test before it,
03:55 you'd be surprised how little you can actually put
03:57 inside your vehicle when you are loaded up at 3,500 kilos
04:00 with 350 kilo on your down ball.
04:02 So at 6,900 kilos, you actually have sufficient capacity
04:06 to have 3,500 brake towing, 350 on the tongue itself,
04:11 and then also enough for putting things
04:13 inside your actual vehicle.
04:15 And it means that you actually have,
04:16 if you're not towing, a payload of over 1,000 kilos,
04:18 which I reckon is pretty impressive.
04:20 So let me know what you reckon
04:21 in the comment section below.
04:22 Is this a desirable vehicle to you,
04:24 or do you reckon they need to kill it entirely?
04:26 Let me know what you think down there.
04:28 So we are inside the 70 Series.
04:30 We'll start off with the key.
04:32 Look at that, it's an actual key
04:33 that you put in a keyhole,
04:34 and then it's got a fob here for the remote central locking.
04:39 You just stick this in here, give it a turn.
04:42 That's also when you hear the powered aerial come up as well.
04:46 Now, what do we think about the design?
04:48 Well, the design hasn't changed a great deal.
04:50 They've kept it pretty straightforward.
04:52 A little while ago now,
04:53 this infotainment system was upgraded,
04:55 so you get actual satellite navigation now.
04:57 There is no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto,
05:00 but you do have Bluetooth,
05:02 and also the ability to use voice recognition
05:04 as well to make calls, which is good news.
05:07 Outside of that, it's all sort of pretty straightforward here.
05:10 A lot of hard plastics.
05:11 How hard are they?
05:13 Well, we've got our durometer.
05:14 We've tested all the main surfaces in this cabin.
05:17 If you want to see how this car compares
05:18 to others that we've tested before,
05:20 have a look at the link in the description below.
05:22 So, build quality.
05:23 Little bit wonky there in the center.
05:26 Mind you, these things last forever,
05:28 so yeah, I am curious to see if anyone can leave a link
05:33 in the comment section below
05:34 to one with the highest kilometers they've ever seen.
05:37 Let me know.
05:37 And this is what the door sounds like.
05:39 (door thuds)
05:42 Very sturdy.
05:43 So, let's talk infotainment.
05:47 Very short discussion.
05:48 Color touchscreen, shortcut buttons, 6.1 inches in size,
05:51 has a CD player, which is fun.
05:53 You've also got a USB port off to the side here,
05:56 and then a card for the map.
05:59 Outside of that, AM/FM radio, two-speaker stereo,
06:03 which is fun.
06:04 Now, safety technology.
06:07 What have we got?
06:08 So, you have autonomous emergency braking
06:11 with pedestrian and cyclist detection.
06:13 You don't have any auto-dimming rear-vision mirror.
06:15 You don't have any blind spot monitoring,
06:17 but you do have just a standard cruise control.
06:19 Outside of that, there really isn't a great deal
06:21 going on here, so the rest of it is all just very standard.
06:25 So, practicality.
06:26 We'll start off with your connectivity.
06:28 So, you've got two 2.1-amp USB outlets down here,
06:31 plus that USB outlet on the infotainment system.
06:34 You have a 120-watt 12-volt outlet as well.
06:36 In terms of storing your phone,
06:37 you've got a little phone slot up the front there.
06:40 You've also got a spot for your coffee,
06:42 but if you do have a little coffee cup,
06:45 it will get de-lidded,
06:46 so you've got to prop it up in there.
06:48 See how the bottle goes in there.
06:49 Yeah, the bottle fits fine.
06:50 You only have one additional bottle holder outside of that,
06:53 which is over on that side.
06:55 There's nothing else over here.
06:56 That means you've got nowhere for the big bottle.
06:58 In terms of other storage,
07:00 you've got this center console here with a top section
07:02 and then a bottom section as well.
07:05 You've also got a glove box down here,
07:08 which is actually pretty reasonably sized.
07:10 And finally, you have a holder for your darts in there.
07:14 On the comfort front, air conditioning is now standard,
07:16 and it's all manual.
07:18 This is an excellent air conditioner, by the way.
07:20 It pumps out cold air,
07:21 so perfect for driving in the outback
07:24 if you're doing that kind of thing.
07:26 Seats are both manually adjustable,
07:28 so there's not really a great deal you can do there.
07:31 And then on the steering front,
07:33 it offers both tilt and reach adjustment.
07:36 And on our reach test,
07:37 all of this stuff is easy to reach while you're driving.
07:40 (car engine revving)
07:43 So we've just hit the road in the 70 Series.
07:47 Let's talk about this engine.
07:48 So for the Australian market,
07:50 this uses a 4.5 litre turbocharged diesel V8.
07:55 It's exclusively mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
07:59 It makes a very modest 150-ish kilowatts of power,
08:02 just over 400 newton metres of torque.
08:05 So it is probably the most under-stressed
08:08 turbo diesel V8 engine in the world.
08:10 And I mentioned the Australian market
08:12 because in other markets, they sell this
08:14 with a variety of engines.
08:15 And there is a rumour that this will actually go
08:17 to a four-cylinder as well,
08:19 which would be interesting to say the least.
08:22 So how does it all drive?
08:23 Well, look, this five-speed manual
08:24 is a very easy gearbox to drive.
08:26 And I think that if you had never driven a manual before,
08:29 this would be the perfect vehicle to learn in
08:31 'cause it is quite hard to stall one of these.
08:33 It's a very smooth shift and, you know,
08:35 it's pretty straightforward
08:37 in terms of the way that it operates.
08:38 In fact, the whole thing is just,
08:40 is quite lazy in terms of the way that it works.
08:42 Even if you, if I drop this back to second here,
08:45 and totally get up it,
08:46 pins you back in the seat a little bit,
08:52 but it ultimately just runs out of puff
08:54 and then you go for the next gear.
08:55 In fifth at 100 k's an hour, it's sitting on 2000 RPM
08:59 and it's sort of quite noisy inside the cabin.
09:01 So it's fairly unsophisticated.
09:03 One thing that I have fitted to it
09:05 is a slightly more aggressive DPF burn cycle.
09:08 So they learned from their four cylinder diesels
09:11 that weren't running DPF burns enough,
09:14 mainly 'cause people were driving them
09:15 in and around the city too much.
09:17 This is a little more aggressive
09:18 and it will do a DPF burn quite often.
09:20 You do also have a manual DPF burn switch here as well
09:23 to clear it out if you do need to,
09:25 plus an indicator just here on that little screen there
09:28 as you cycle through this menu,
09:31 it tells you the DPF level
09:34 and then you get a little indication there as well.
09:37 Now let's talk fuel economy.
09:39 So Toyota claims a combined average
09:41 of just under 11 litres per 100 k's.
09:43 This doesn't actually have a fuel economy readout,
09:45 so we can't tell how much fuel it's using,
09:49 but I think it's pretty much on the money.
09:51 It's not exactly the most efficient thing in the world
09:53 and equally it's also not that thirsty either.
09:56 Now let's talk ride.
09:57 So given this is a leaf sprung vehicle,
09:59 unladen it can be a little bit bouncy,
10:01 but it is quite comfortable
10:02 compared to something like a Hilux when it is unladen.
10:05 So it actually still has that level of comfort
10:07 that you need.
10:08 And given the payload this has and the GCM as well,
10:11 it should actually be a whole lot more uncomfortable,
10:13 but it is actually just the right balance there
10:15 between comfort and payload as well.
10:18 There is a lot of wind noise when you're driving along
10:20 and even a bit of road noise as well.
10:22 So you do notice that.
10:24 We've tested it with our calibrated sound meter.
10:26 If you do want to see how this compares
10:27 to other vehicles that we've tested before,
10:29 have a look at the link in the description below.
10:31 So what about your visibility?
10:32 Well, you are sitting really high up here.
10:34 You can see clearly down the front of the vehicle there.
10:36 The mirrors work fine.
10:37 Keep in mind though,
10:38 they are totally manually adjustable.
10:40 So you do need to get all of that stuff set
10:43 before you leave the vehicle.
10:44 Otherwise it is a pain to adjust the passenger side
10:48 while you're driving.
10:49 Visibility out the back is fine as well.
10:50 You can just see a little bit of the grate there
10:52 from the tray that we have installed.
10:53 Okay, time to attack our sine waves.
10:55 This is going to need a big old run up here.
10:57 So we do our sine waves at 130 Ks an hour
11:00 because it gives us a really good indication
11:02 of what the body control is like.
11:04 Kind of irrelevant for a vehicle like this,
11:06 but it is maximum speed in Australia.
11:08 So here we go.
11:10 There's 130 there.
11:11 Yeah, look, it's pretty good.
11:16 No dramas.
11:16 Okay, time to see what it's like on some corrugations
11:21 on the bumpiest road in Australia.
11:24 We do this at 90 Ks an hour.
11:26 Just gives us an idea of what the ride compliance is like
11:29 when it's unladen.
11:30 Alrighty.
11:33 Yeah, look at it bouncing around a fair bit here.
11:36 That leaf spring suspension doesn't do it any favours.
11:38 Here's our condensed sine wave.
11:40 See what it's like through here.
11:42 It's a proper shake test.
11:47 Yeah, look, it is comfortable enough.
11:48 If you are going to be driving this down a corrugated road,
11:50 it's not exactly going to be the end of the world.
11:53 Now there is no sport mode,
11:54 but let's go for a punt around the track.
11:56 We'll see what this feels like.
11:59 See if the V8 actually has some...
12:02 Try not to roll it as well.
12:03 That'd probably be not a bad idea.
12:05 Right to the edge of the track there.
12:10 Yeah, look, steering feel isn't great.
12:12 And obviously it's not designed to be doing any of this,
12:14 but we test all of the cars in the same way.
12:16 So I'm doing this for the purpose of science.
12:20 In saying all of this, it's actually not too bad
12:22 because it is so soft.
12:25 It is actually a little bit fun because it is so big.
12:27 You're kind of really having to work it constantly.
12:32 This is the dumbest thing I've ever done,
12:37 but anyway, it's good fun nevertheless.
12:40 Okay, time for some performance testing.
12:43 This is so funny.
12:44 Let's see how it goes anyway.
12:46 We're going to go all the way through to 120
12:47 to see what it's like.
12:49 I'll switch off traction control, you never know.
12:51 We might get some wheel slip off the line.
12:54 Alrighty, here we go.
12:56 I'll up some revs.
12:57 Right.
13:06 Oh, I wonder if we'll hit 120.
13:14 There's 80.
13:15 Oh, there's 100.
13:19 We're going to have to use our exit road here.
13:25 (engine revving)
13:27 All right, there's 120.
13:29 Collected a kangaroo there.
13:35 Alrighty.
13:36 Took a long time.
13:40 Zero to 100, 15.17 seconds.
13:44 80 to 120, 12.37 seconds.
13:47 That is positively slow.
13:49 So yes, not great.
13:51 Let's go back and we'll try a stop from 100 Ks an hour.
13:54 Let's see how we go.
13:57 All right.
14:03 All right, took a while to get there,
14:10 but let's have a little look.
14:11 So 100 to zero, 3.43 seconds and 48.28 meters.
14:16 So definitely not a very good result here in the dry,
14:20 unfortunately.
14:21 And now time for our reverse acceleration test.
14:25 Here we go.
14:26 42 kilometers an hour.
14:34 Okay, time to do some light off-roading.
14:38 I know that people go crazy with these modifying them
14:41 and they do some pretty crazy off-roading stuff,
14:43 but today we're going to keep it
14:44 pretty sort of straightforward and simple.
14:46 I've got a number of little tests here
14:47 that we're going to put the car through.
14:49 Now, I'm running through some of the four-wheel drive specs.
14:51 So this is a full-time two-wheel drive,
14:53 so it's rear-wheel drive most of the time.
14:54 It has four-wheel drive high range
14:56 and four-wheel drive low range.
14:58 You have front and rear diff locks as well.
15:01 So it is sort of pretty comprehensive in that regard.
15:04 In terms of your actual specs,
15:05 you have a 36 degree approach angle
15:08 and a 27 degree departure angle.
15:10 So that is the angle of the face you can approach
15:12 before you hit the front of the car
15:14 and then the same, but in reverse for the rear.
15:17 And it all depends as well what you fit on the back.
15:19 So if you have a tray like this,
15:20 it's going to affect your departure angle.
15:22 If you have a lower hanging tray,
15:24 it'll do affect that as well.
15:25 So that's worth keeping in mind.
15:27 Now, ground clearance, actually running clearance.
15:29 That's the number that Toyota quotes.
15:30 So it's over 300 millimetres,
15:32 and that's a measure of the lowest point on the ground
15:35 the vehicle is sitting,
15:36 unladen to the lowest point on the vehicle,
15:38 excluding its unsprung mass.
15:40 So it is a little bit complicated,
15:42 but that is the number that you have to go by
15:44 as opposed to ground clearance,
15:45 which is another that Toyota doesn't quote.
15:47 So I reckon we give this a crack and see how we go.
15:50 What we're going to do is head over our first obstacle
15:53 just in two wheel drive high range.
15:56 And this basically gives us a good indication
15:58 of what the traction control system's like
16:00 when we have a wheel off the ground.
16:03 So we'll see how it performs through here.
16:05 So we'll get it into the scenario
16:06 where that rear wheel is lifted off the ground,
16:09 which is around there somewhere.
16:11 So just roll onto the throttle now
16:14 and see how well traction control does.
16:15 You can see the traction control light flashing there.
16:18 I'm now flat on the throttle.
16:20 I'll just give it a bit more of a squeeze there.
16:25 The traction control is bogging right down.
16:30 There is no off-road mode here, so to speak.
16:33 So what I'll do is switch traction control off.
16:35 And we'll give that one more shot.
16:38 It's now getting a little bit more wheel slip.
16:43 But we're not getting anywhere at all.
16:46 So it's a little bit disappointing.
16:47 I would have thought that the traction control system
16:49 in this would have been better than it is.
16:52 All it's doing is just bogging down
16:53 and not really letting us go anywhere,
16:55 almost regardless of how long I stay in it as well.
16:59 So, all right, that is a little bit disappointing.
17:01 I'm going to back up a touch
17:03 and then we will just give it a little run up.
17:07 Just a bit over that.
17:12 I can't even with a run up,
17:13 it's still being really fussy
17:14 when that wheel gets off the ground.
17:15 So, I think what we'll do is just go around this
17:19 and we'll just have another crack in the opposite direction.
17:22 Okay, so it is time to give this a crack
17:25 in the opposite direction.
17:26 What I'm going to do here
17:27 is engage four-wheel drive high range
17:29 and then we're going to go over the same obstacle
17:31 but in the opposite direction.
17:33 Okay, so we get it set up
17:35 so that we have two wheels with limited traction
17:39 and then we leave it up to the traction control system
17:42 to figure it out.
17:43 So, here we go.
17:45 Okay, so that's our position there.
17:49 Roll onto the throttle.
17:51 Okay, so traction control is flashing there.
17:57 A little bit more.
18:00 But it is biting.
18:03 There it is, nice.
18:05 Okay, so it got us over there without too many dramas.
18:08 So, yeah, I think it is probably
18:10 just a very tame traction control system
18:14 that you'd probably be better off
18:16 just switching off to be honest.
18:17 So, let's go to our other hill now.
18:19 We'll give this a crack in low range and see how we go.
18:22 Okay, so we are at our hill.
18:25 So, what we're going to do here,
18:26 I'm going to go up this twice,
18:28 once in low range and then once in low range again,
18:33 but I'll come to a stop.
18:34 I'll also lock the front rear diffs just for fun as well.
18:37 So, I'll pop this down into low range.
18:40 There it is there.
18:42 All right, here we go.
18:43 So, I've just left it in first gear as well.
18:49 Let's see how it goes up here.
18:51 Yeah, I'm just digging a hole there.
18:59 That wasn't very good.
19:01 All right, I'll give this one more crack.
19:03 This time I will actually just lock the rear diff.
19:07 We'll see if that helps us.
19:08 So, you basically swivel that across,
19:11 wait for that to activate and there it is.
19:13 All right, give that one more crack.
19:16 So, just gradual throttle up here.
19:18 That's better.
19:23 Yeah, stuck a little bit there.
19:29 No, still not going okay, all right.
19:32 I'm gonna have to go all out here.
19:34 I'm gonna have to lock the front diff as well.
19:35 So, all right, let's line this up.
19:38 Let's flick that around, lock the front diff.
19:42 Okay, there we go.
19:43 That's now locked too.
19:44 It is kind of wet here at the moment.
19:48 So, we'll see if this helps us.
19:50 Hopefully it does.
19:51 That's better.
19:56 That's better, excellent.
19:59 Okay, so, just needed both the front
20:01 and rear diffs locked to get up there.
20:03 All right, we'll go through our little mud puddle here
20:06 and then down our steep hill.
20:07 Okay, so, there is no hill descent control.
20:12 So, what we'll do is just lob it over the edge here in first.
20:15 We'll see how it goes.
20:15 Obviously no cameras to see your descent location,
20:19 but yeah, it's all sort of pretty straightforward.
20:24 Plenty of engine braking there in first gear low range,
20:26 which is fantastic.
20:29 All righty, let's head back to our hill.
20:31 Okay, let's give this one more shot.
20:33 So, I'm gonna come up there and come to a stop.
20:35 Yeah, look, obviously if you just attack this at pace,
20:38 it's probably gonna get up here without any dramas at all,
20:41 but we do all of these in the exact same way,
20:44 just so we have a point of reference
20:45 and this is just one of the tests that we do.
20:47 Okay, so, let's try this.
20:49 Yeah, there we go.
20:53 It's actually okay once you kind of get stuck
20:57 into that throttle.
20:58 It digs a little bit of a hole, but it gets up there.
21:00 So, okay, let's head over to the rocks.
21:02 Yeah, like I said, look,
21:03 we compare all of these vehicles in the same way,
21:06 so they all do the exact same thing.
21:08 This is obviously far more capable off-road
21:10 and if you just attack that sort of stuff
21:12 with a bit of speed,
21:13 you'll get up there without any problems at all.
21:15 It's just good to have a benchmark comparison
21:17 between some of the modern vehicles
21:19 that can use traction controls to get up that type of terrain
21:22 without having to dive back through all these settings.
21:24 This is definitely not built for the average bunter.
21:27 Yeah, so look, with the rocks,
21:28 I'm just gonna keep this in low range.
21:29 This is walking over here without any problems at all
21:32 and I can feel there's no issues with ground clearance either.
21:35 So it's sort of quite sort of impressive
21:38 and really comfortable too.
21:40 So, I mean, that suspension is really just soaking up
21:43 all of these bumps nicely
21:44 and meaning that we can get over all this stuff
21:46 without sort of too many dramas.
21:48 So, I mean, just as a stock vehicle,
21:50 this shows you how capable these things are
21:52 before you actually do any off-road modifications.
21:55 Final test is our water crossing.
21:58 So I'm just gonna keep this in low range.
22:00 I've got the rear diff locked.
22:02 Yeah, look, our water crossing is pretty deep at the moment,
22:04 but we'll see how it goes anyway.
22:06 I'll be interested to see what it's like on the way out though
22:09 'cause it is a fairly steep climb.
22:11 I don't know if we're going to hit tow bar or that tray,
22:14 so we'll see what happens.
22:15 I know we're about 650 mil deep here at the moment.
22:20 You can hear that water lapping at the doors.
22:25 All right, here's our climb out of here.
22:27 We'll see what this is like.
22:29 That's not too bad.
22:35 Didn't really even touch down at the back there.
22:37 Fantastic.
22:38 So there you go.
22:39 LandCruiser 70 Series.
22:41 It is an absolute beast off-road.
22:42 I will call out though,
22:44 the traction control system is not great,
22:46 so I would be switching that off
22:47 if you're doing any off-roading.
22:48 This hasn't been engineered like a Prado
22:51 or something where you do have several off-mode roads
22:53 you can pick from.
22:54 This is very much just a set your mode
22:58 and attack with pace type of vehicle.
23:00 And I think that if you go to town modifying this,
23:02 there is probably nowhere you won't be able to go with it.
23:04 They are very impressive straight out of the box.
23:07 And then even more so when you start modifying everything.
23:10 So Total LandCruiser 70 Series.
23:14 This thing is way overpriced for what it is.
23:17 It's antiquated and it desperately needs an update,
23:19 but I would buy one any day of the week.
23:22 It is so much fun to drive.
23:24 And it is just a utility that proves
23:26 if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
23:28 It does everything that it needs to do really well.
23:30 And it means that you can drive this
23:32 for hundreds of thousands, if not millions of kilometers,
23:35 knowing that there are plenty of spare parts out there.
23:37 It's gonna be easy to fix and it's never likely to break
23:41 because they have just ironed out
23:42 everything to this stage now.
23:44 So I can see why they're so popular.
23:46 I can also see why it's impossible
23:48 to buy one at the moment too.
23:49 So I don't know, leave it down in the comment section below.
23:52 Have you bought a 70 Series?
23:53 Have you modified it?
23:54 What's it like?
23:55 What do they like to live with longer term as well?
23:58 I'm keen for your feedback.
23:59 And let me know, highest mileage 70 Series you've seen.
24:02 Let me know in the comment section.
