00:00 G'day, I'm Paul. So, Nissan has been working on their latest iteration of the Ford Ranger
00:04 Raptor competitor. They call it the Navara Warrior. It's exclusive to Australia and
00:09 engineered here by an Australian company. Today we're going to see if it's any good.
00:14 I remember driving the last one and I actually really enjoyed it. So, this has had a few visual
00:18 tweaks in line with the latest Navara update. So, this is priced at a little under $70,000.
00:24 It competes with things, well, really like the Ford Ranger Raptor and perhaps the Toyota Rugged
00:29 X Hilux. There really aren't too many competitors in this segment that go this extreme in terms of
00:34 the off-road equipment. Today we're going to do a detailed review of this car. So, if you do want to
00:38 skip ahead to other parts of the review, you can use the time codes on the screen or if you're on
00:42 YouTube, you can scroll down and use the chapters below. And if you haven't done so already,
00:45 subscribe to our channel, press the bell icon because that's going to tell you every single
00:49 time we drive beasts like this. Let's talk exterior design. So, you've got three colors
00:54 to pick from. All but black is just under $700. What do you reckon about the design? I reckon it
01:00 looks pretty tough. So, this is based on the Pro 4X. So, you get the big black section up the front
01:06 here, the red highlights on that black Nissan logo. I think it's a pretty imposing design,
01:11 but some of the changes here that we're talking about with the Warrior include this steel, I guess,
01:17 bumper bar down the front here and the changes between this and the last one. So, this remains
01:21 a hoopless bar and you can actually see there's gaps between here so that it can flex independent
01:26 of the body. So, you're not going to have those two meeting at all. You've got rubber grommets
01:30 in between that to keep it all separated at all times and you'll get that if you're on corrugated
01:34 roads at high speeds. So, a really good setup there and it means you're not going to do any
01:38 damage to the car. This has changed in terms of the way they paint it to prevent it from
01:43 chipping. They've also included here provisions for a winch. Previously, you weren't able to do
01:48 that. They've also got an LED bar integrated into that bumper as well, so that's all sort of
01:52 inclusive. If you go beneath the skin, that's all red and it says Navara on that. This is
01:58 three millimetres thick. This provides you protection for the underbody, so if you do
02:02 collect anything when you are off-roading, it's not going to, you know, rip a hole in the sump or
02:07 anything like that. So, this is a really good addition to have and it means that you really
02:11 will be protected from all of the elements when you're driving off-road. So, in addition to that,
02:15 this sits on a 30mm wider track than the Pro 4X that it's based on. Ground clearance has also
02:20 been increased by 40mm, so you've got 260mm of ground clearance under there now. So, it is all
02:26 changes that are going to make it better off-road. In terms of your headlights, you have a full LED
02:31 headlight cluster there. I love this design. You've got the four sort of globes in there and
02:35 it really sort of looks cool. Decent headlight as well, so at night time you're getting great
02:39 projection here plus from that LED light bar. So, really good setup there. Let's have a look
02:44 at the wheels. So, around here you've got a set of 17-inch alloy wheels along with these Cooper
02:49 All-Terrain tyres. Black wheel design in the centre there. It's like a matte black finish.
02:55 Decent tyre as well. If you're going to be doing some serious off-roading, you need a proper
02:58 all-terrain tyre and I think this will get the job done nicely. Up the top here, you have some
03:03 bespoke wheel arch protection for the Warrior. You can see here, what was it? It was the BT50
03:09 Thunder that we were driving. It didn't really connect nicely down there or at the back here
03:13 and they've just got a decent setup here so it doesn't look too strange or aftermarket.
03:17 Now, talking about the changes to the suspension, they've got revised springs and dampers in here.
03:21 Now, what that means is that when you get closer to full extension, especially at speed,
03:26 it handles that full extension a whole lot better instead of just bottoming out and
03:30 giving you a shunt through the cabin. So, if you are going to be doing any sort of
03:34 jump-related things, this is going to handle that a whole lot better. In terms of the ride
03:37 firmness, the engineering company has upped the high-speed rebound rate by 50%
03:42 and the compression rate by 100% compared to the standard Pro-4X. And there's also changes to the
03:47 rear rebound rate as well so it feels a little less jittery when it is on that corrugated stuff
03:51 at higher speeds. So, I'll be interested to see if that actually works and whether we can feel
03:55 that behind the wheel when we go for a drive. Righto, down the side here, you've got the
03:59 standard side steps. I would have loved to see something here similar to the Ranger Raptor,
04:03 where they had like a proper sort of steel or metal setup down the side there, whereas this is
04:07 just plastic and it feels like it could be a bit of a weak spot in the car if you lean it on any
04:13 rocks or anything like that. I think it's going to bend a little bit. Down here, you've got a
04:17 camera built into that wing mirror along with an LED indicator, piano black around that wing mirror.
04:22 You've also got piano black up the top here on the roof rails, privacy glass. You get this pretty
04:27 cool looking sports bar, I guess you'd call it. This is with the Pro-4X so it gives it just a
04:33 little bit of character on the road. Pro-4X sticker there, but then you get Warrior underneath it as
04:38 well, so everyone knows that you're driving the Warrior. More of those flared wheel arches and
04:41 then whip around to the back. Now, customers were saying that they wanted more payload and also
04:46 greater GVM. So, GVM is up by 100 kilos and payload is now at just under one ton. Now,
04:52 that's important because something like a Ranger Raptor has nowhere near as much payload as this,
04:56 and also can't tow as much as this. This has a three and a half ton brake to towing capacity,
05:01 so they actually have put a bit of work into making this a usable work ute plus a fun weekend
05:06 ute. Black Nissan logo there with red lettering, and then this is kind of new to the Navara. Well,
05:12 this update of the Navara, they've got like that little lip there. Unfortunately, the top isn't
05:16 protected, so if you do have anything that sits inside that tray, it's going to lean on this and
05:21 potentially scratch it over time. So, it is a shame that doesn't have any protection on it.
05:26 But, in terms of the inside of your tray, you've got a torsion bar there to make this easier to
05:32 open and close. You've got these cool rails on the side as well, so you can undo those and move
05:37 them around as required. It's a good system and it means that you get a bit of versatility there in
05:42 terms of where everything sits inside the tray. Now, speaking of the tray, in terms of the
05:47 dimensions, it comes in at just under 1500 millimetres long and you'll get a little over
05:51 1100 millimetres between the wheel arches. So, decent setup there and it comes standard with
05:56 this bed liner as well. So, let me know what you reckon about the design of this in the comments
06:01 section below. Do you think this latest Warrior looks better than the first generation? I'm hoping
06:07 it is better in the sense of how it drives. The first one was good, but the changes they've made
06:10 to the suspension here should mean that it is a little bit better. So, let me know in the comments
06:14 section below what you think. So, we are inside the Warrior. Let's start off with the key. So,
06:19 you've got standard sort of Nissan key, logo up the top, lock, unlock and then it's blank on the
06:25 back. This is a proximity sensing key, so you leave that in your pocket. Once you're inside,
06:29 you've got the push button start. Now, let's talk about the design here. It does look pretty old
06:34 school. They've stuck with commercial with all of these hard plastics along the top there. Probably
06:39 not such a bad thing if you're pretty rough and tumble with your ute, but if you have a look at
06:43 stuff like the new Ford Ranger, it's starting to feel a little bit dated here in terms of the
06:47 design. That includes all of this piano black that in a standard car gets pretty dirty pretty
06:53 quickly. Here, I think at a trade vehicle, it's going to get dirty very quickly. In terms of your
06:57 Warrior specific changes to the interior, there isn't really a great deal here. So, the Pro 4X
07:01 basically steps it up a notch over the standard Navara in terms of visual appearance. So,
07:06 you've got that black logo with the red lettering. You get Pro 4X written on the seats there, but you
07:11 get Warrior up the top here when you do select the Warrior package and that includes all this
07:16 stuff. You've got the red stitching, white stitching through the centre there in that kind of
07:20 ribbed design. It is a little disappointing here with the Navara that they deleted things like the
07:24 storage up the top there and also the cup holders under the air vents. For some reason, that
07:29 disappeared with this latest Navara update. But look, outside of that, your touch points. So,
07:33 on the centre here, that's really nice and soft and on the door as well, that's soft enough.
07:38 How soft is it? Well, we've tested the main surfaces in this cabin with our durometer.
07:42 If you want to see how this car compares to other cars we've tested before, have a look at the
07:46 link in the description. Now, build quality, what's it like? So, we'll do our little shape test.
07:50 It feels not too bad, a little bit of flex there in the centre, but for the most part,
07:54 this feels nice and solid. Finally, our door test.
07:57 Yeah, it sounds okay, not too bad. Moving on to infotainment. So,
08:05 thankfully when the Navara got upgraded, it got an upgraded infotainment system and that means you
08:10 now have an 8-inch display and in addition to that, you have inbuilt satellite navigation. Well,
08:16 it's not the fastest thing in the world, but it is there if you don't want to pay your smartphone
08:21 for mirroring, which also then comes with maps. You get AM, FM, DAB plus digital radio and that's
08:28 all plumbed through a six-speaker sound system. Sound system is okay, not amazing, but you do get
08:33 smartphone mirroring in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Look at that, that looks nice
08:39 and quick. Gets through those menus very quickly and full screen integration there as well for
08:44 Apple CarPlay. And this is what Android Auto looks like. So again, full screen and really nice and
08:50 snappy there as well. I do find it interesting how some integrations of Apple CarPlay and Android
08:55 Auto are fast and some aren't, whereas this one's actually pretty good, which is nice.
09:00 Head of the driver is a 7-inch display. This is where you'll get your trip computer information,
09:04 some of your four-wheel drive controls and safety information as well. Now, what about
09:08 your safety technology? So you have autonomous emergency braking, you have an auto-dimming rear
09:13 vision mirror, you have a lane departure warning and a lane-keeping assistant, but the assistant
09:19 is a brake system. So basically when you come up to the edge of a line, it will pulse the brake,
09:23 and that's because this still uses a hydraulic steering rack. You need to have EPAS, which is
09:28 the electrically assisted steering rack, to be able to guide the car in like a lot of other brands
09:32 do when it comes to a lane-keeping assistant. You do have a blind spot monitor built into that
09:37 wing mirror. Unfortunately, there's no radar cruise control, which is pretty disappointing
09:40 given this is the very top specification model. On the parking front, unfortunately, you don't get
09:45 front parking sensors, you just get rear parking sensors, but you do get a 360 camera, and I'll
09:50 show you what that looks like. So the quality is pretty, it's okay, it's not amazing, but it's not
09:56 terrible as well. So that's looking out the back and that's your 360 view. You'd also have an
10:01 off-road camera as well, which we'll run through when we do a bit of light off-roading, but you
10:05 can see down the front there as well, you get a bit of vision, and then also moving grid lines as
10:08 well. Moving on to practicality, and we'll start with the USB connectivity. So get rid of this for
10:13 a second. You've got one USB-A port down here with an auxiliary port in the center console. You've
10:19 got another USB-A, a USB-C, and also a 12-volt outlet. In terms of phone storage, so you can
10:26 slot it down the front there, but it's not quite big enough to fit big phones, which is a little
10:31 bit frustrating, but you can pop your phone there in one of the cup holders if you want to. Then in
10:36 terms of your coffee cup, thankfully this all fits okay and it's easy to grab without spilling. There
10:41 are no teeth there, which is worth keeping in mind. And our bottle, same story, fits in there
10:46 fine, but because it doesn't have any tea, that kind of just moves around a fair bit. You can then
10:49 pop this inside the door if you need to. Let's try our big bottle, we'll see if that fits inside the
10:55 door. Doesn't fit in the center there. It does fit inside the door, which is good news. Further
11:01 storage, center console, it's kind of small. It's wide but very narrow and it's not all that deep,
11:08 which is a little bit annoying, but you do get storage down the side here where you can pop your
11:13 little bits and pieces. Down here you've got a glove box. Again, no room in there once you've
11:17 got the manual. And finally, a sunglasses holder up the top. And finally, comfort, you have
11:22 dual zone automatic climate control. You don't have any heated seats, even though you can get
11:27 heated seats in the model beneath this. And you've got lots of blanks here as well. For some reason,
11:31 when you step up to the Pro 4X, you just start missing out some of the features that are
11:35 available in the STX, which is a little bit disappointing. Now, let's talk about the seats.
11:40 So, full manual adjustment, that's one of the other things that's missing from the spec below.
11:46 The other problem with the seats is they're not very comfortable. So, I spent a bit of time in
11:49 this car and one of my colleagues spent a whole lot more time in this car and, yeah, they're just
11:53 not a very comfortable place to be seated. They need a bit more support down the bottom. Yeah,
11:58 it's just after a while you feel a bit fatigued while you're sitting in the seat. Steering wheel,
12:03 though, good news, you don't have to honk the horn every single time you do a U-turn. So,
12:07 the redesigned steering wheel is actually much better, but it still only offers tilt. There's
12:12 no reach adjustment on the wheel. And on our reach test, everything is easy to reach from
12:18 the driver's seat. So, before I hop in the back, let's have a little sticky-beaky storage. So,
12:22 this doesn't come down, but you can pull this up. Once you do pull this up, you can latch that into
12:28 position so it doesn't go anywhere, but you do have two hidey holes under here. One is for the jack
12:33 and the other is for your bits and pieces. Not a huge amount of room, but it's there nevertheless.
12:38 Pop this back down. You can hop in, grab that grab handle, and then once you're inside,
12:44 you've got an okay amount of knee room, but not amazing, and toe room is okay, but not amazing.
12:50 Again, headroom is pretty reasonable. In terms of your creature comforts, you have a center armrest
12:56 here with two cup holders. The bottle goes into there without any dramas, but no teeth, so it sort
13:01 of moves around a little bit. You can pop this inside the door if you need to as well without
13:06 any dramas. You've got air vents down here, which is good news, plus a USB-A outlet as well. No
13:11 matte pockets, but you do have ISOFIX points with top tether on the outboard seats. One of my
13:16 favourite features of the Navara though is the sliding window. I love that it has that. Gives
13:20 you a little bit of airflow in the cabin without needing to open these other windows.
13:23 So we're on the road in the Navara Pro 4X Warrior. So, powering this is the same engine as
13:32 the rest of the Navara range, which is a 2.3-litre twin-turbocharged diesel. Makes 140 kilowatts of
13:38 power and 450 newton-metres of torque. Now, I know what you're thinking. So they've added all
13:43 this steel stuff in and made it heavier, but haven't increased the power. Does that mean it
13:48 feels slower behind the wheel? Well, it's a bit like the Ford Ranger Raptor. It does feel slower
13:52 behind the wheel. So when you do get stuck into it, it's pretty leisurely, especially when you
13:59 consider that the rest of the competitors, or some of the competitors in this segment, are now at 500
14:03 newton-metres. This is already at a disadvantage and is then heavier, which means it is slower
14:08 again. So, look, it's not the end of the world. You can still keep up with traffic nice and easily,
14:12 but it is just something to keep in mind if you go buying one of these. Just remember,
14:16 it is going to feel a little slower behind the wheel. That's all mated to a seven-speed
14:20 automatic transmission. The seven-speed in this is actually not too bad. Like, when you sort of
14:25 get stuck into that throttle, it picks up and goes nice and quickly. And with the twin-turbocharged
14:30 setup, you've always got torque when you need it. There's no real big torque holes in the rev band.
14:34 So, Nissan doesn't have an official 0-100km/h time, but we've put it up against our stopwatch,
14:39 and this is how it went.
14:40 Nissan claims a combined fuel economy of 8.1 litres per 100km. Let's have a look at what
14:57 we're sitting on. We're on 10, so kind of near enough to where it needs to be. This car's been
15:04 doing a fair bit of city driving, so pretty impressed with that figure, if I'm honest.
15:07 So, let's talk about the drive modes. So, using the drive mode selector down here,
15:12 you can go between standard, sport, tow, and off-road. So, standard is just all pretty
15:18 straightforward. If you slot it up to sport, you can feel the gearbox is immediately more responsive
15:24 and ready to jump back through gears, and tow mode will take advantage of gears to make sure you're
15:29 not going to ruin your engine while you're doing 100km/h with a giant load on the back.
15:34 Let's have a quick chat about the ride. So, this is part of the work that the engineering company
15:39 did here in Australia to change the way this rides compared to a standard Navara. And of course,
15:44 the standard Navara, above and beyond the rest of the utes in this segment, uses a coil-sprung rear
15:49 end as opposed to leaf springs, and generally it's pretty good, but it can get a little jittery if
15:54 you hit a set of corrugations. This suspension setup, though, has really balanced it out nicely,
15:59 so it's soft enough but still capable of handling loads and corrugations without making the car
16:06 buck about. What we found in some of the American trucks, the bigger trucks, the second you start
16:10 trying to get tricky with suspension, the car just floats all over the road. So, what they've done
16:15 here with the springs and the dampers really has given it just a good level feel, and it means you
16:20 can drop a tyre off the edge here with confidence, knowing that if you do hit any potholes or bumps,
16:25 it's not going to run away from you. So, yeah, it is a nice setup. Doesn't feel anywhere near
16:29 as good as something like a Ranger Raptor, but given the limited window of opportunity they have
16:35 to change the tuning on these, I think it's actually not a bad job. All of that drive is
16:39 sent through the rear wheels, so it is two-wheel drive only in high range. You then have four high
16:44 and four low, which I'll go through when we go do a bit of off-roading. But, yeah, I think some
16:49 utes are now moving into that space of full-time four-wheel drive. We've seen with the new Ford
16:53 Ranger that some of those variants will be full-time four-wheel drive. It is fine in this
16:57 sense, but I do find in the wet, for example, it is a little bit sketchy because you don't have as
17:03 much traction available with these all-terrains. Same story with Ranger Raptor, in the wet it's
17:07 just not that great. So, it would be nice if they actually had a four high system that actually
17:12 works on sealed surfaces in these utes. Let's talk about the steering. So, you know, I mentioned
17:16 earlier on that because this doesn't have an e-pass system, it doesn't get the lane departure,
17:20 or lane keeping assistance stuff rather, like a lot of other utes in this segment, where it'll
17:24 steer you back into the lane. It is pretty heavy, especially at low speeds, and, you know, that's
17:30 one of the downsides of hydraulic steering. It is hard to give it that tuning, the speed variable
17:34 tuning, and, you know, it kind of shows here. It has enough steering feel, but it is just probably
17:40 a little on the heavier side at low speeds for my liking. All right, let's pop this into sport mode.
17:44 We've got our corner coming up here. Let's see what it feels like as we dial it in.
17:50 Yeah, look, it does feel like it has a lot more body roll than a standard Navara, but
17:58 on our little bump here, it actually settles really nicely as the speed picks up. So,
18:03 yeah, look, it's not as sharp a handler as a standard Navara, but they've done a good job
18:07 making it actually handle on the all-terrain tyres that it's sitting on. Let's talk about
18:11 tyre noise. So, one of the downsides of these all-terrain tyres is they are a little bit noisy
18:16 on the freeway. They're not the end of the world, so it's not like those big chunky mud terrains
18:20 that really just smash you with noise as you're driving along, but you do notice these, especially
18:24 on a smooth surface. You can hear it inside the cabin. It doesn't have that noise-cancelling tech
18:29 that you find in the Ranger Raptor, but, look, for the most part, it's fine. It's not the end
18:33 of the world. It's just something that you will notice in the back of your ear every now and then.
18:37 What about your visibility? So, clearly visible down the front there, so I can see the corners
18:42 of the car. I did notice something yesterday, though. This little lip on the bonnet here,
18:46 for some reason, at some hours of the day, it literally just blinds you. You get the sun
18:51 refracting off that right into your eyes, and I just don't understand how they didn't catch that
18:56 during the engineering process. So, it's a little bit disappointing that you need to, like, try and
19:00 cover your eyes so you can actually see where you're driving. Visibility out the side is good,
19:04 though. The wing mirrors are nice and big. You've got a blind spot monitor built into those,
19:07 and visibility at the rear isn't too bad either.
19:10 Right-o, time to do a little bit of light off-roading. Let's see how the Warrior does
19:19 off the beaten track. So, I'll run you through the high-level four-wheel-drive features. So,
19:24 it's a standard two-wheel drive, which is what you use for driving out on the road,
19:27 but you do have four-wheel-drive high range for unsealed surfaces, and four-wheel-drive low range.
19:32 There's a rear diff lock that only works when the vehicle is in low range. In addition to that,
19:37 you have an off-road drive mode as well that we will select when we start doing a bit of
19:42 off-roading here. In terms of the actual specs, your approach angle was 32 degrees, but it's been
19:47 increased to 36 degrees thanks to that front end. The approach angle is the angle of the face you
19:52 can approach before you hit the front of the car. The departure angle isn't quite as good. It's just
19:56 under 20 degrees, so that's the same angle but in reverse, but your ground clearance has increased
20:00 to 260mm, so you should be able to clear most obstacles, and there's also a 600mm wading depth.
20:07 So, what we'll do, we'll put this into four-wheel-drive high range. You can see it's
20:11 engaged when it comes up there on the screen. Then we'll also put the drive mode into off-road as
20:16 well, so that's going to tailor all of your stability controls to off-road settings, so you
20:20 do have a little bit more movement there. Let's see how we go up here. So, given the changes to
20:27 the suspension, I'm hoping it is smoother up here. I do remember in the Pro 4X it was smooth,
20:32 but not quite amazing. This is still a tiny bit rough, but the edges of the bumps are actually
20:36 not too bad, and these all-terrain tyres just offer stacks of traction, so it's walking up here
20:43 pretty easily. You can actually see the big difference. Today we had the Sahara ZX here,
20:47 and it kind of struggled to get up there with its all-terrain tyres, but they look very much
20:51 like road tyres. So, you can see there's a huge difference here. The first thing you want to be
20:55 doing when you get one of these is changing the tyres to proper all-terrains. Okay, you've also
21:00 got a downhill assist control, a hill descent control. Let's see how it goes down here as we
21:05 navigate this. I forgot to mention as well, you've got an off-road camera, so the off-road mode is
21:11 actually pretty cool, because you can see exactly what those tyres are doing. I can set it up to
21:15 then navigate itself through the potholes that I want. So, I'm going to let go of the brake here
21:19 and see how our hill descent control works. It's not too bad, probably a touch too quick.
21:24 It's kind of running away from us there, but for the most part that actually feels
21:27 pretty good. There's no way to adjust the speed of that bike, it looks like it's just set.
21:32 Okay, next up is our offset mogul and our little
21:42 seesaw here. So, we'll chuck the car up on the side.
21:45 We roll through this. I'm going to stop it just here in the centre. We'll see how strong the
21:52 chassis is. This is going to flex the car right now. We're getting to the point about
21:57 there where it's fully flexed and it's moving around a little bit.
22:01 Yeah, no problems there. Able to open and close the door. All good. I think the olde VT60 was the
22:09 last car we tested here where the door caught on the latch when it closed, which kind of tells
22:14 you there's a fair bit of flex going on there with the body. All right, we're getting up to
22:18 our offset mogul here. What this is going to do is give us full wheel extension at the rear there.
22:23 We'll be able to see how it copes. There we go. So, we have a tyre off the ground.
22:28 I want to see how it copes here with no traction. So, I don't have the rear diff locked,
22:32 it's just in four high. I left traction control on. We'll see if it can get us out of here. So,
22:36 my foot's off the brake, I'm leaning into the throttle. There we go, I can see that wheel
22:41 locking. That's actually really impressive. So, all it's doing is just grabbing and pinching at
22:48 that rear wheel to give the car a little surge of torque onto the wheels that actually have
22:52 traction with the road. So, pretty good setup there. Didn't have to really do anything too
22:56 much to fiddle with that. I do have something slightly more challenging though. Let's go
23:00 give that a crack. Now, we've got our steepish hill here. So, it's a concrete hill, but it's
23:06 got some moguls as you climb it. So, this is really going to put the four-wheel-drive system
23:12 under a lot of stress because what it's going to tell it to do is all of a sudden send torque from
23:15 one wheel to another as it starts losing traction and it wants to be able to keep that momentum up
23:20 the hill. Otherwise, we'll start rolling back and who knows what'll happen. So, what I'm going to
23:24 do is put this into low range. You can see that's engaged there. You have to put it into neutral to
23:29 do that. It automatically brings up your off-road camera. I'm also going to lock the rear diff
23:33 lock and let's do that. Line up the hill and we'll see how it goes. Now, when this is all set up in
23:38 this mode, you can see ABS is switched off, traction control's off, and so is the forward
23:43 collision warning. Let's see how it goes. A little bit of knocking there.
23:50 Whoa! As we lift the tyre in the air, that's pretty impressive. It got up there. So,
24:01 if we didn't have the rear diff locked, what we'd find there is that it would start climbing,
24:05 we'd lose one of the tyres off the ground, all of a sudden that would get all of the torque,
24:09 and it would start getting into a position where it's not going anywhere. The driver would then
24:13 probably put more throttle in. You'd end up then getting into a situation where it might surge it
24:17 sideways and you end up in all sorts of trouble. So, that's why a rear diff lock is such a handy
24:22 thing to have and it's easy to work here. You stick it in low range, rear diff lock, and you
24:26 can climb what looks easy but is actually quite challenging.
24:29 So, the Navara Warrior. Look, it's not quite a Ranger Raptor in terms of its ability,
24:42 and it is let down by the engine, just feeling a little underdone. That's before you even fit
24:46 all the heavy stuff to it, but have a look at it. I reckon it looks tough as nails, and look,
24:51 it will go pretty much anywhere you need it to go. Those tyres are fantastic. It's got plenty
24:55 of wheel articulation, and look, if you're going to do more serious stuff, you might fit a front
25:00 locker to it or something like that, but I just think in its standard trim, it's going to do
25:04 everything you need it to do. Plus, on top of that, above and beyond the Ranger Raptor, it has
25:08 a decent payload and also a decent towing capacity as well. So, if you've got a chip, which you're
25:13 not allowed to do, but you should, I think this would pretty much solve all of the issues. So,
25:17 let me know in the comments section below, what do you reckon about this? I think at this price
25:21 point, for what you get, it's pretty good value for money compared to a Ranger Raptor, but I'm
25:24 keen for your feedback. Let me know in the comments section below. If you did enjoy this video,
