00:00 Going into the final, hosts India were certainly the favourites.
00:05 They'd had 9 wins out of 9 in the group stage.
00:08 Opponents Australia had won 7 but lost twice,
00:11 taking them to a 3rd place finish.
00:13 For the final itself, Australia's captain Pat Cummins
00:16 won the toss and elected to field,
00:18 something India likely would not have done.
00:21 But it was only 21 minutes into India's innings
00:24 before Virat Kohli was sent into the middle,
00:26 with India losing a wicket early on.
00:28 He managed 54 before being bowled by Cummins
00:31 to leave India in a tricky situation.
00:34 Too many of their side departed on single figures
00:37 as India were all out on 240.
00:39 And when Australia came to the crease,
00:41 opener David Warner departed for just 7,
00:44 but a remarkable innings of 137 by Travis Head
00:48 put the Aussies in the driving seat.
00:50 A further 58 from Manus Labashain saw them over the line.
00:53 Pat Cummins then lifted the trophy
00:55 as Australia once again were world champions.
