00:00 Let's talk about the Lucid Air Pure. That's right, we now have a base-level Lucid Air.
00:06 So what exactly is base about it? Well, on the surface at least, not a lot. In fact,
00:11 it looks like every other Lucid out there. Oh, except this frunk is now no longer electronically
00:17 operated. You have to use your hands like a peasant, and these doors are no longer soft
00:22 close. As standard, the Pure comes with a single motor. This is the optional all-wheel
00:28 drive dual motor version, which is good for 480 horsepower. For context, the Touring has
00:34 620 horsepower, the Grand Touring has 819 horsepower, the Grand Touring Performance
00:40 has 1,050 horsepower. Oh, and there's the Sapphire. Well, that's got 1,234 horsepower.
00:49 Listen to those numbers and it all begins to make the Pure's 480 horsepower sound a
00:54 little bit puny. But honestly, believe me, if you drive this car, you won't think that
00:59 thought ever again. This is more than enough car for the likes of you and me, especially
01:04 if you're driving with range in mind. The interior though is where the Pure really begins
01:09 to show its base-level options, or rather lack of. Other Lucids get leather seats as
01:15 standard. This comes with the Pure Luxe leather alternative seats, which are very comfortable,
01:21 but they don't massage and they're not vented. Also, this is the Mojave interior colorway,
01:26 which is very nice, but it's currently the only color scheme you can get on the Air Pure.
01:32 I like it, but what's the harm in having options? One thing which isn't base is the price. The
01:37 single motor Air Pure begins at $89,125. For the dual motor, you're looking at another
01:45 $5,500. Add a few options to that, paint, wheels, you're at over $100,000 for a base-level
01:53 Lucid. But then again, when you consider the MSRP of the other Lucid Air models, perhaps
01:58 this one is a bit of a bargain after all.
