00:00 You know just tell us what you're up to what's happening today Amanda. Yeah, so I'm here today
00:04 It's my Merry Christmas. I feel like that's a bit early to be saying it, but it's only five or six weeks away
00:10 But I'm here with Brian Hanley from Manildra Group and Manildra Group is
00:15 Co-sponsoring this year their Mayor's Giving Box
00:18 But we're still asking people to come down to Stockland place a gift here in the box behind me
00:23 It's pretty easy. Don't wrap it just pop it in the slot
00:27 Or there's a code on the side just here if you want to give a cash donation
00:31 Because you can't think of a present to buy someone
00:34 Whichever way people want to do that that's terrific, but supporting the Mayor's Giving Box
00:39 I know it's been a tough year Brian for many
00:41 But you know we've all got a little bit of love left to give someone
00:45 And I reckon we just stop buying presents for people who don't need them. What do you think?
00:50 That's a good idea. Why could I not buy a present for you?
00:54 That's great. You know we love our family so we buy presents for them
00:59 Anyway the Honan family do demise in cars this year
01:04 So we've got a little prize here which is gifts this season to preserve those gifts
01:10 So for the Honan family, you know, and obviously Mayor's giving this year to give in the box
01:17 And we're putting this to your family
01:19 Yeah, so $10,000 from the Honan family, Honan Ilga, it's just wonderful
01:24 We really appreciate it and Michelle Hayden will appreciate it
01:26 And what happens to the gifts once they're donated?
01:29 So the gifts this year we've been in partnership for the last few years
01:33 With Clipper Road, with Cullin Guddy and with Myerbird Preschool
01:37 So once we've taken care of the little kids, then we go to the bigger kids through Salt Ministries or Salt Care
01:43 And Salt Care take the final empty from the box and whatever's left over
01:49 And then they distribute it through their network so people that are in need
01:53 Salt Care have been working with nearly 600 families across the year
01:56 Making sure that they're fed and supported and that they can live in these really beautiful times
02:04 Well, thank you.
