00:00 that experience, obviously your last start didn't last very long.
00:03 >> Yeah, no doubt, man, I had a great time.
00:06 That was a once in a lifetime experience.
00:08 Getting to see my name up on the board and everything after the game and
00:12 videos, that's pretty cool.
00:14 I really enjoyed it.
00:15 It was a great opportunity, so glad I got to get it.
00:17 >> What came together Saturday night with the offensive line?
00:22 With the new starter even, you guys look like you were in charge.
00:26 >> Really just the details.
00:27 This whole last week we've been talking about really refining the details.
00:30 And if we can get those done, we're gonna have a great game.
00:34 So going into that, that's really what we focused on.
00:37 So we closed in on that.
00:38 >> What are- >> Sorry, it was a night game.
00:41 It was a lot of emotion.
00:42 It was a big game.
00:43 Take me back to when you were a recruit here, coming on visits and stuff.
00:47 Is it everything that you thought it would be expected to be about?
00:51 >> It was better.
00:52 You sit on that sideline, man, it's amazing watching it and
00:55 thinking about in the next couple years getting to come here and actually play.
01:00 But man, I don't think there's anything like that.
01:02 There's nothing that I can compare that to.
01:04 >> Going back to what you said just a second ago, what are one or
01:07 two of the things that y'all feel like you cleaned up on Saturday that maybe you
01:11 weren't doing earlier in the year?
01:13 >> Yeah, really just finish and footwork.
01:16 But I would say the biggest thing was finishing.
01:18 All the guys I felt like really played aggressively.
01:20 And we're just getting after it.
01:22 I think that's really what kind of pushed us over the edge and got us good.
01:26 >> [INAUDIBLE] >> Next week,
01:29 the rest of the season and everything.
01:30 >> What was that?
01:31 >> So do you think you can take this momentum into next week and
01:34 finish the season strong?
01:35 >> Absolutely, 100%.
01:36 I think our team's got a great outlook on everything.
01:38 And I think this definitely carries momentum.
01:41 >> Getting named a captain for the game this upcoming week, what does that mean to you?
01:44 >> Yeah, it's huge.
01:45 I've dreamed about stuff like this.
01:46 And seeing that come up, I was fired up, man, I'm so excited.
01:50 >> How about Caden Green, to see him named a captain for
01:53 this weekend as a true freshman, what does that say about him and
01:56 the work he's put in?
01:57 >> It's huge, man, that dude put in some work before the season started.
02:01 And I think we've all been really impressed by him.
02:03 All of our offensive line room, man, they love him.
02:05 He's a great dude, so I'm so proud of him.
02:07 Excited to see him out there.
02:09 >> What was the toughest thing for you about what you went through in the off
02:13 season, trying to get back to where you were when that injury happened?
02:18 >> The toughest thing for me was closing in on the end of last season.
02:21 I thought I was gonna have a lot of time to grow.
02:23 But as soon as you tear an ACL, it's really just trying to get back to where I was.
02:27 So I think I was really happy with how I handled it mentally.
02:31 I think that was one of the biggest things that a lot of people kinda don't look at.
02:34 So I always try to keep a positive outlook on it.
02:37 And I was always, man, try to get that leg right, get it stronger.
02:42 >> What did you think of the way Kate handled this business and
02:47 came to the rescue a little bit in that scuffle?
02:51 >> Man, that's just football.
02:52 That's part of it.
02:53 And I think that's just one of those football things where it happens.
02:57 So they're standing up for some guys on the team, but yeah, it's just football.
03:03 >> He had their back.
03:03 I'm sure everybody's happy about it, proud of him and all that.
03:06 >> Yeah, no doubt, yes, sir.
03:07 >> That's how it works.
03:08 >> Yes, sir.
03:09 >> Thanks to everybody.
