00:00 So Seb, how have you been raising money?
00:03 Err, being kind.
00:06 Hi Sebby!
00:21 Is that for me?
00:24 Yeah.
00:25 Oh thank you!
00:28 Hi, I'm Ashley and I'm Sebby's mum and this is...
00:31 Sebby.
00:32 And Seb's been doing... Sebby can tell you. What have you been doing Sebby?
00:36 Acts of kindness.
00:38 And he's been doing acts of kindness for about 18 months now.
00:42 Random acts of kindness every day for 18 months.
00:45 And why have you been doing random acts of kindness Sebsy?
00:48 Erm...
00:49 To help...
00:50 Lonely kids.
00:51 To help lonely kids.
00:52 So Sebby started doing this in March of the first lockdown
00:57 because he wanted to speak to somebody on a Zoom who hadn't got a smart device.
01:04 So Sebby said he was going to give him his, didn't you Seb?
01:07 Yeah.
01:08 But we discussed that you can't really give people your things
01:12 so then we talked about how you can help other people.
01:16 And how can you help other people Sebby?
01:17 Erm...
01:18 Being kind.
01:19 Well done by being kind!
01:21 And raising money for...
01:23 Charities.
01:25 Charities.
01:26 So he started off doing one...
01:29 100 acts of kindness.
01:30 In...
01:31 In...
01:32 In...
01:33 In...
01:34 In ten...
01:35 In ten days.
01:36 Well done, yes.
01:37 He started off doing 100 acts of kindness in ten days.
01:40 So that was ten a day.
01:41 And he did it.
01:42 What was the first one we ever did, well you ever did, can you remember way back?
01:46 What was the first act of kindness you ever did?
01:49 Was it when Baz the Builder was here?
01:51 Yeah.
01:52 What did you do for Baz the Builder that started it all going?
01:55 Gave him a cup...
01:56 Kindness.
01:57 A cup of...
01:58 A cup of tea.
01:59 He then enjoyed it so much because people were so smiley and happy
02:03 and it was making people feel happy inside, wasn't it?
02:06 And how did it make you feel Sebby?
02:08 Happy inside.
02:09 That Seb said he wanted to carry on, so he carried on.
02:12 And here we are 18 months later
02:14 and Sebby's now done probably over 2000 random acts of kindness
02:18 for people he knows and stra...
02:21 Strangers.
02:22 Strangers.
02:23 We've gone from... Sebby's gone from £1000 to just under £40,000 now.
02:28 And what he wants to do, he really, really wants to do
02:31 is hit the £40,000 mark before his page...
02:35 He's just giving page closes at the end of January.
02:38 And once his page closes, hopefully if he reaches the £40,000 mark...
02:42 Yeah.
02:43 Erm...
02:44 Sebby's been awarded a World Compassion Award
02:47 by the Supreme Master Ching Hai in Taiwan
02:50 and that money is going to set up the Sebby Hall Kindness Foundation
02:54 which will then continue fundraising yearly
02:58 to continue to help organisations that look after vulnerable young people.
03:02 So Sebby, for his first event next year, wants to do a kindness run
03:06 where people are kind as they run.
03:09 So he'd like to give out flowers to people
03:12 and they can find somebody to give a flower to as they run.
03:16 But somebody has kindly donated some kindness teddies.
03:21 So Sebby would like the first 50 people who sign up for the kindness race
03:27 will be getting one of these.
03:29 Can you turn it round?
03:32 What does it say?
03:34 Kindness.
03:35 I've just received a teddy bear from Sebby.
03:38 It's absolutely lovely.
03:39 It makes you just feel so warm inside
03:42 and just so grateful that Sebby has done all these acts of kindness
03:48 and really what it means to everybody.
03:51 I've really witnessed over the last 18 months Sebby's acts of kindness
03:56 and the ripple effect that this has caused throughout his community
04:01 and with his family and friends.
04:03 And the ripple effect of kindness has just been lovely to watch.
04:07 We need £2,000.
04:11 And if you get £2,000 Sebby, what will you reach for?
04:14 £40,000.
04:17 Kindness is my superpower.
04:19 Bye.
