00:00 I'm joined by Michelle Rex and Joanne McNabb from Cameron Ventures Group, winner of the

00:08 West Suffolk Council Investing in West Suffolk Award. Congratulations to you, well to both

00:15 of you but the entire team. Is a lot of you here tonight to celebrate?

00:18 Yeah, there's a few of us. We've got a couple of team members.

00:22 Tell us more about the Cameron Ventures Group. So it's hotels, that's right, the Priory and

00:26 Bury St Edmunds also?

00:27 The Priory and Bury St Edmunds and Ravenwood which is in Ruffham. We've also got Cedars

00:33 Hotel and Stone Market and then some of those in Suffolk too.

00:39 And Joanne, tell us about in particular the training programme that you've got for Ukrainians

00:44 who have fled from the war.

00:45 Well we've just, you know, sort of employed as many as we can and just offered basic training

00:50 that we offer in the hotels but I mean they've really taken to it and you know it's working

00:54 out really well for us, for all of us.

00:56 Is it a family founded business? Am I right in thinking that?

00:59 Yes, it is. Yeah, by Kelly and Brian Keane.

01:01 Tell us a bit more about the story, the history behind the group.

01:06 So Cameron Ventures Group was founded in 1999 by Brian Keane. He bought his first hotel

01:12 which was Riverside House Hotel in Mildenhall. He was given a very good opportunity when

01:16 he was younger and then he now passes on that opportunity to his team as well and he's very

01:22 enthusiastic and he's a great employer.

01:23 It's a good job you read the website just before you came here. Look at that, there's

01:28 excellent research and knowledge.

01:31 And what have you made of tonight? Have you enjoyed yourselves?

01:33 Yeah, it's been a really good night. Yeah, it's good to see all the local businesses,

01:37 you know, all pulling together.

01:39 Well the night is but young so enjoy the rest of it. Congratulations.
