Sanità, Sabatini (Philips): “Futuro dell'healthcare legato al ruolo dell’AI”

  • last year
Così Giovanni Sabatini, Solution Leader Philips Italia, Israele e Grecia, in occasione dell'evento 'Intelligenza Artificiale, rischi e opportunità', organizzato oggi da Adnkronos a Palazzo dell'Informazione.

00:25 the sources of lifestyle, that are the sources of clinical history.
00:29 Consequently, the future of healthcare must certainly start with the recognition that
00:34 Artificial Intelligence must play an extremely important role, especially with regard to
00:40 clinical decision-making support and data integration, coming from many different sources.
00:47 The potentials of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare development are enormous, they are multiple.
00:54 Starting from what is already happening today, in the ability to integrate different information,
00:59 especially in the diagnostic phase, in the prevention phase, information that helps the clinic,
01:07 which obviously must always have the last word in the decision of what the therapeutic process can be,
01:13 but it certainly helps the clinic to identify more quickly diagnostic-character information,
01:21 to integrate information that can allow to obtain from the patient's clinical history
01:27 a trend, patterns that can also help prevention and can go in the direction of
01:34 a preventive medicine and a real population healthcare management,
01:41 but above all the fact that with Artificial Intelligence it will be possible to support the patient
01:46 from the moment he has to approach a health care system to the moment he returns home
01:51 and will have a structure, mechanisms that will help him to have a greater therapeutic adherence
01:58 to what is prescribed by the doctor.
02:00 The decisions of the clinic are always supported by a large mass of information.
02:06 The ability to integrate information derived above all from an increasingly evolved diagnostic process
02:13 in a quick and quality way is certainly an area in which Artificial Intelligence
02:19 is already bringing great advantages.
02:22 For example, in Philips a software has been recently developed that allows to speed up,
02:29 for example, the magnetic resonance tests, by integrating information that the machine,
02:35 through a machine learning process, has been able to acquire to go and do faster diagnoses
02:43 helping the patient to stay less time inside the machine and therefore prevent movements
02:49 that can create artifacts, but above all supporting the clinic to go and identify
02:55 more quickly the anatomical areas that require its attention.
