Orlando Brown Jr. on Bengals' Win Over Bills
Transcript
00:00 got a very close-knit group, a very close-knit team. Our quarterback is
00:03 playing lights out, which is, I mean, always, you know, gonna put you in great
00:07 position and our defense is creating turnovers. So we've been able to really
00:11 win these games against some really good opponents.
00:13 Do you guys feel like you're settling in? Like you're comfortable? Like you're hitting your stride now?
00:17 Yeah, definitely. You know, I think that's the thing about this league is trying not to peak too early,
00:21 but you don't necessarily try, you know. Sometimes with the good teams it just
00:24 happens. And man, we're heading in, obviously, November now and, you know,
00:28 we've got some really, we got to start really playing some really good football.
00:30 We got some really good football teams coming up, but we are hitting our stride.
00:33 I mean, this team is kind of known, I know it's your first year in the system,
00:37 but this team is kind of known to play their best football in November the last
00:40 few years. Do you feel like that's the case? Absolutely. I mean, I've been on the
00:44 other side of it for some years, so I've kind of seen it. But, you know, this is a
00:48 group that, I mean, Zach Taylor, man, just ton of credit to him and his staff, our
00:53 training staff, our strength coaches. They put us in great position with our
00:56 bodies, with the way that we practice, the way that we prepare. And so it allows
00:59 us to be able to come out here on Sundays and play our heart out and play
01:02 with a lot of passion, a lot of strain and finish and attitude. I mean, credit
01:07 to all of, you know, all of them that really allow us to, you know what I mean,
01:10 be able to have our bodies intact and go out there and play like this on Sundays.
01:14 What did it feel like for you, because on that Joe Mixon touchdown run, I noticed
01:17 that you and Bolson, Karras, you were blocking your asses off on that play.
01:21 What did it feel like to see Joe inch in for the win? Yeah, well, I mean, it's
01:25 always good to have touchdowns ran behind you or first downs, big plays,
01:28 making key blocks. It's always fun, man. And Mix, I mean, for some reason he hits
01:31 the right hole, it seems like every time. Okay, so you're going in, you're
01:36 obviously enjoying the win right now. How long did it take you before you reset
01:40 and move on to Houston? For me, I mean, I'll chill tonight, but my preparation
01:46 for Houston starts tomorrow. So, you know, we'll come in, we'll watch film on
01:49 this game and get my body right. And then I'll start watching film on Houston.
01:54 Last question for you. You mentioned Joe Burrow playing lights out. What does it
01:58 feel like for you? How does that change, I guess, your job on game day when he is
02:02 able to play at full strength? Yeah, I mean, it makes everybody's job a lot
02:05 easier because, I mean, he's on the money with his spots, he's getting the ball
02:09 out, you know, the receivers are getting open, he's making those those churches
02:13 and he's scrambling when need be. So, I mean, people have to play us honest. It
02:16 makes everybody's job a lot easier. Now, I promised you a last question. I
02:20 promise this is the last one. Everyone going into this game was saying the
02:23 Bengals are the best team in the AFC, but you hadn't won an AFC game yet. Now
02:27 you have. Do you think that you're the best team in the AFC right now? I mean,
02:30 I definitely think we are and I think people know that.
