00:00 Your Excellency, we would be the most foolish people, and we are not because you are there.
00:08 If the opportunity that God has given us as the people of Montenegro region to make sure
00:15 that we can redeem ourselves as a region, because we have the history from 1978 onwards
00:24 and what happened to this region.
00:26 But then God gave us the opportunity, gave us a president who loves us.
00:32 And now, Your Excellency, we also have a team led by yourself and ourselves that is aware.
00:41 What I would want to say, I started in Parliament when I was Senator, the one man, one vote,
00:48 one shilling fight.
00:51 And I want to declare here this morning, Your Excellency, that that fight cannot be lost.
00:57 And this is our time, Your Excellency, to ensure that we pick it up as the people of
01:02 Mount Kenya region.
01:04 If we lose that fight at this time, if we lose that push, and I want to urge my colleagues
01:10 all the way from the Rakanithi, all the way down through all our counties, up to here
01:15 in Cambu, where you border Nairobi, that we will never be forgiven by generations if we
01:22 use this opportunity to promote inter-boundary and personal conflicts.
01:30 That instead of joining together to change this country and to change this region, that
01:38 we waste and squander the opportunity and fail to deliver on the vision and the wishes
01:43 of our people.
01:45 I want to say, Your Excellency, as I sit down, that we have faith because of the position
01:51 you have taken and the position the President has taken.
01:55 And so we have a big challenge in our hands, ourselves as leaders, that if we choose to
02:00 use this opportunity to shadow box between ourselves, to promote small conflict between
02:07 ourselves, that will be the spectacle of the country, then we can only blame ourselves.
02:14 God bless Kenya.
02:16 God bless Cambu County.
02:19 God bless the people of Mount Kenya region.
02:23 And I know this opportunity, if we take it the way we should, that we are going to change
02:27 this country.
02:28 Your Excellency, we respect you, we respect our President, and we want to say that we
02:34 will stand behind him and stand behind you.
02:37 Thank you, our Bishop, for showing the way.
02:39 May God bless all of you.
02:40 Asante.
