00:00 Hello, Assalam-o-Alaikum and good morning. Welcome to the pavilion. I am Fakhr-e-Alam.
00:07 You are watching A Sports, 10 Sports and the ARY Zapp App. Our continued coverage of the
00:10 ICC Men's World Cup 2023. It's an early morning start for us here today in the pavilion because
00:17 there are two matches today. That's why we are here early. And right now, I have with
00:22 me in the pavilion, I've got four former captains of Pakistan, four outstanding cricketing minds
00:27 and four extremely knowledgeable panelists. So, bringing up first, we have the young,
00:34 dynamic and heartthrob, Mr. Shoaib Malik. Good morning, Shoaib.
00:39 Good morning. Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone.
00:42 Looking very fresh.
00:43 Extremely fresh.
00:44 Even though we left the studio at 1 last night. And we are back this morning, early morning.
00:49 Next up, I've got Mr. Dependable, the most successful test captain in Pakistan's Test
00:53 Cricket history, Ms. Vahula. Good morning and Assalam-o-Alaikum, Ms. Vah.
00:55 Good morning. Good morning. You did this morning, right?
01:00 Yes, we are doing it again this morning. But this morning, the morning before this morning,
01:04 the breakfast was really good. And with that, I've got one of the finest cricket keepers,
01:10 also former captain of Pakistan, also known as the man of prices. And we call him the
01:14 silver fox of the pavilion, Muin Khan. Muin, good morning and Assalam-o-Alaikum.
01:19 Jai Walaikum Assalam. Good morning. Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone.
01:23 And finally, the cricket royalty in the house. Now, royalty does not like to start its day
01:28 very, very early. That's traditionally what we believe. But this royalty, well, this royalty
01:33 is up at 5 a.m. hitting the gym and taking his long walks and then insisting on people
01:38 like me to join him, which is never going to happen. Never going to happen. It gives
01:42 me great pleasure to bring into the conversation the one and only Sultan of Swing and the king
01:46 of all all-rounders, Mr. Seema Karam. Good morning and Assalam-o-Alaikum, Mr. Seema.
01:49 Good morning. Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone.
01:51 Okey dokey. Let's get down to the business end of it. First of all, let's show you what
01:57 is in store for you today. We've got two games in store for you. First up, we have a very
02:02 special game. This is Australia versus New Zealand. This promises to be a cracker of
02:07 a game because it's in Dharamshala and we should be looking at a big run fest here.
02:12 And that's, this game will start at 10 o'clock. And then the second match of the day is Netherlands
02:17 versus Bangladesh. It will start at 1.30pm in Kolkata. So we're going to show both of
02:24 these games here on A-Sports as we go along. But before we talk about these games, let's
02:30 talk about the defeat of Pakistan to South Africa last night. After which the chances
02:35 of Pakistan moving forward in this World Cup have become very low. They are technically
02:39 present but it seems highly unlikely that Pakistan will be able to move forward. But
02:43 one thing was definitely good in yesterday's match that the Pakistani boys fought back
02:47 in a very good way and kept fighting till the end. That's what we really hoped and prayed
02:51 for that Babar Azam and his players play well. Whether it's a victory or a defeat, we should
02:57 see that the boys have fought hard. Let's get a match summary of last night for you.
03:02 Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Unfortunately, the team was all out on 270
03:08 runs. 46.4 overs. These were the crucial 3 overs that could have given Pakistan 20-25
03:15 extra runs. But unfortunately, that's not how it was meant to be. Tabrez Shamsi there
03:22 picking up 4 wickets for 50. He was brought in specially for a particular role and he
03:26 did that role really, really well. In response, there was a very good innings by Mark From
03:32 right there, 91-key. Then Miller contributing, the captain Bhuvuma contributing and De Kock
03:37 also contributing. But unfortunately for Pakistan, it was not meant to be. Shaheen Shah
03:42 Freedy picking up 3 for 45. Osama 2 for 45. Waseem 2 for 50. And South Africa won this
03:48 one by 1 wicket. That defeat set a major setback for Pakistan but we still have 3 games in
03:54 this World Cup. Let's take a look at the points table. The situation will become clearer for
03:59 all of us. This is the points table if you look at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup India
04:04 2023. Now South Africa after defeating us have gone straight up top of that table pushing
04:10 India to the second position. But if you look closely, the net run rate of South Africa is
04:15 more than 2. So they're looking really pretty, looking very, very strong. The match was very
04:22 tight but you know, they're right on top of the table right now. India number 2, New Zealand
04:26 number 3, Australia sitting at number 4. So today's big match is between New Zealand and
04:29 Australia and the table will change till evening. Sri Lanka at 5, Pakistan now sit at number
04:35 6, Afghanistan 7, Bangladesh 8 and England and Netherlands at 9 and 10. Remember that
04:42 the two teams at the bottom will have to play for the next World Cup qualifier. The top 4
04:46 teams will play in the semi-final. Last night when the Aas the Pavilion series was going
04:51 on, Waseem, there were a lot of questions coming in and of course the same things were
04:54 coming up. The things we kept saying, the things that people were upset about, we also
04:59 critically analysed and talked about them. But now it's a new day, here we are. You know,
05:05 there's still a little bit of a feeling that we were right at the door but we couldn't
05:14 go forward, we couldn't cross. It wasn't meant to be I suppose. They tried, it was a great
05:18 game last night, a close game. They needed about 15-16 runs, they had wicket in hand
05:24 and congratulations South Africa and Maharaj and everything. It's okay, Babar Sehgaon
05:30 made mistakes, whatever happened, it wasn't a problem. We discussed last night in length,
05:35 all of us did, for two hours about it. Now we have to see what we have to plan for the
05:40 future after the World Cup. That's the big worry for me.
05:44 Yeah, that is because you, last night when we were talking, you said something very true
05:49 that we will start a test series in December, it's the first test match in Perth and we
05:54 don't have clarity about what kind of team will be there.
05:57 Especially who will go for the bonus. Haris doesn't play test cricket, he doesn't pick
06:01 it. I doubt he'll go. If he doesn't go, he should be playing first class cricket. If
06:05 he's fit, they all should be. Shadab, everybody should be playing. If they're not in the squad
06:09 on to Australia, they all should be compulsory playing first class cricket.
06:15 And developing their skill because we need them. You know, all of these guys, Haris,
06:21 Shadab, they need your services. The Pakistan team still needs you. That's why it's important
06:26 for us to improve your skill. And we're not saying this to show you a weakness or a
06:33 weakness. We're saying that you are needed. We want to see you perform and in order for
06:39 you to perform, you need to develop your skill, which means we want you to go back to the
06:43 first class cricket and collect that skill. Yes, Shoaib, you were saying something.
06:46 I want to add on to something. Like, Waseem gave a very good point of view about Haris
06:53 Rauf or any other bowler like him, who should play long cricket. Like, we don't know which
07:00 bowlers are there or are there or not for that Australia tour. Why not Haris Rauf? If he
07:06 wants to play first class, give him a test match. He can groom quickly there, he can
07:11 learn quickly. Like Waseem… Good point, Waseem. You agree with that?
07:14 Yeah, I do. I do. And he has pace as well. But for starters, he has to kind of convince
07:20 himself that he wants to be a test cricketer. Like, good test bowler. Not that I played
07:26 one test and I became a test cricketer. No. He's got the ability. We've seen him time
07:30 and time again. He's got the pace. The only thing, problem, we have been seeing from the
07:35 last two, three months is his length, especially in a longer version, in ODIs and in test cricket.
07:41 And the second big thing is, if you don't have a good body condition, straight away
07:48 going to Australia, six hours, 90 overs on the field, then you have to bowl at least
07:54 15 to 16 overs. Minimum. A day? That's it?
07:58 In a day, if you… I said minimum in the test. Minimum?
08:02 You bowl more than 18, 20. We used to bowl less than that.
08:06 We have seen, he bowled 10 overs. And in 10 overs, his average speed was very good.
08:10 No doubt. Even last night, we have seen him. Consistently
08:14 pace was coming. If he can bowl 10 overs with an average speed of 140+ then I guess he's
08:23 ready. How many more will you bowl?
08:25 One bowler, right? Either you give three bowlers who can go there and bowl. In Australian conditions,
08:33 you got to have pace to deceive a batter.
08:36 I want to share something with you all. Vasim Akram has sent me your stats. I thought I'll
08:46 just bring those up. Because we were talking about how much young boys should play first
08:51 class. You played for 594 matches in List A cricket.
09:00 That's it? And you have 881 wickets.
09:05 And you played 257 first class matches. And you have 1042 wickets.
09:14 Thank you. 1042 wickets of first class.
09:17 So after this, you shouldn't have got tired. After that, you lost in the international.
09:22 You destroyed that too. Yeah, but you see, the more you play as a
09:26 bowler or as any sport, take any sport other than cricket, the better you'll become.
09:31 You won't be able to play as long as you play. We were discussing with Mishra and Shoaib
09:37 and Mohin, for the last two to three weeks, how to make bowling muscles stronger. By bowling.
09:44 Simple. There's no science, no math. That's it. The more you bowl, the better you'll become.
09:50 And your bowling muscles will get stronger. And your chances of injuries will also get
09:54 reduced. Stamina will also improve. But boss, I don't
09:56 have anything to congratulate you on. Thank you, it's very important.
10:00 And we'll take a short break with that. We'll meet after the break.
10:03 Welcome back to The Break. You're watching The Pavilion. I'm Fakhr-e-Aram.
10:06 I'm here with Shoaib Malik, Mishra Ul Haq, Mohin Khan and Maseema Akram.
10:10 Interesting things happening this morning. Actually, we're a little sleepy.
10:13 So we apologize if we make any mistakes. We were talking about Pakistan.
10:19 And of course, the match we're losing against South Africa. And now about Pakistan's future.
10:22 I want to ask one last question. The Australia tour is coming up.
10:25 We talked about fast bowlers. Why not take Haris Rauf to get exposure?
10:30 Let's talk about batsmen. Australia's series is a big challenge for batsmen.
10:35 So we're seeing that a name is coming up, Saim Ayub.
10:39 You've got this young talent. You've got Saud. You've got Abdullah Shafiq.
10:45 Do we take them out there and give them that exposure?
10:48 Where they've had such a hard time on such fast wickets.
10:50 And if they fail there, then we'll drop them.
10:53 I think if there's a place in the world to learn, it's Australia.
10:58 You get a lot of exposure there. You know, different pitches.
11:01 You play in difficult conditions and you run on them.
11:05 You know, you become a better cricketer.
11:08 And you're ready to face any team in the world.
11:12 I think here, on this tour particularly, like you said about batting,
11:16 Saim deserves to be taken here.
11:19 Not only Saim, but the young players, like Shaan has done a lot of runs in first class cricket.
11:27 Shaan is a contender, he should be taken here.
11:29 And the young players should definitely get exposure.
11:32 Because these are very tough conditions.
11:34 Not only the bowlers, like we heard in the programme,
11:39 it's very difficult conditions for bowlers.
11:42 So you have to give a little exposure here.
11:44 Take the young players and young fast bowlers with the batsmen.
11:47 This will be very important.
11:49 So that's that. Now we're going to close that chapter.
11:51 We'll talk about it in the days ahead as we go along.
11:54 Now let's talk about the matches that we have today.
11:57 The second match is the Calcutta match.
12:00 Netherlands vs Bangladesh.
12:02 Let's start off on this.
12:04 Let's see.
12:05 Netherlands gave a big surprise, they defeated South Africa.
12:09 You know, it was a great performance by them.
12:12 And they've shown glimpses of really good cricket here and there.
12:16 Just because of bad luck, they have not been able to convert them into victories.
12:21 Bangladesh also at the bottom of the table.
12:23 So there's this fight at the bottom of the table.
12:25 Because everyone wants them to be in the top 8.
12:27 Not to drop down to 9th or 10th place.
12:30 How is this match?
12:31 It's a very interesting match.
12:33 Both teams must be thinking that they should at least win this match.
12:37 Bangladesh must be thinking that they should at least win this match.
12:45 Whereas Netherlands must be thinking that the positions they were playing in,
12:50 they might have a chance here.
12:53 Because Bangladesh is struggling to get into the top 8.
12:57 If they get into the pressure early on,
13:00 and then their bowling...
13:03 Netherlands...
13:05 They're not batting as well.
13:07 But there are chances.
13:09 Both teams must be fencing for chances.
13:13 That they should at least win this match.
13:16 That's why it is going to be an interesting contest between these two teams.
13:22 And looking forward, how they play, how...
13:26 I think Bangladesh will still be under pressure.
13:30 Netherlands is without pressure.
13:33 Where they got a chance,
13:36 their overall cricket discipline, their fielding, their bowling discipline is very good.
13:42 And they are always in a hunt.
13:45 If they get a slight chance to under pressure the opposition,
13:49 then we should grab it.
13:51 Let's see how Bangladesh plays and how this match goes.
13:56 Right. Best of all, their best all-rounder, Wasim,
14:00 he played very badly against Australia in the last match.
14:03 He gave 115 runs and took 2 victories.
14:06 But that's a record.
14:08 That's the record of the worst bowling in ODI.
14:12 He, however, is a very important player for them in that entire squad.
14:17 Yeah, this can happen to anyone.
14:20 Bad day as a bowler, he went for millions, I suppose 115 to be exact.
14:24 It's the most expensive spell ever in ODI, I think.
14:28 And he's a proper batter. Comes at number 4-5.
14:31 He's averaging about 36.
14:33 And then, as far as his bowling is concerned,
14:36 I think his bowling economy rate and average is also very good.
14:40 But the other day, when he was getting a sprain,
14:43 I think I explained that when Maxwell started hitting from below,
14:47 that he was catching the cross seam and bowling forward.
14:50 You catch the cross seam most of the time,
14:52 especially when the ball is stuck on the wicket or it's wet.
14:56 When you're bowling for the first time,
14:59 you have to catch the seam.
15:01 If there's a reverse, it has to be from the seam.
15:03 So, he has to learn that. His first-class structure is not that strong.
15:06 But well done to the Netherlands team.
15:08 They qualified for this World Cup and they made a huge upset so far.
15:11 They have beaten one of the favourite teams.
15:14 So, yeah, the talent is there.
15:16 The ICC need to invest as well in their first-class structure.
15:20 And they eventually can be a very good side.
15:22 But I believe it seems that a lot of Netherlands, Scotland, Ireland players,
15:25 they go to play county cricket in the UK, in England.
15:28 England, South Africa, Australia.
15:31 Mostly, most of them play county cricket in South Africa.
15:34 But if you have your own system, it's a different ball game.
15:37 If you're British national or you have a dual nationality,
15:42 then you can play as an overseas.
15:44 People may keep you less as yet.
15:46 Alright, we're going to talk more about that, but we're going to take a break.
15:48 We'll see you on the other side.
15:50 Welcome back to The Pavilion.
15:51 You're watching Esports & Sports and the ARY Zap app.
15:54 Our continued coverage of the ICC Men's World Cup.
15:56 Today, there are two big matches. It's a double-headed today.
15:58 The first match is of course, Australia vs New Zealand in the head-to-head.
16:01 And the second match is Netherlands vs Bangladesh in Kolkata,
16:04 which we were talking about.
16:06 Shoaib, let me bring this to you.
16:07 The opening of the Netherlands is struggling a lot.
16:10 Especially, their very important players, Max O'Dowd, depend on them a lot.
16:14 But he's not been able to fire up.
16:15 We also talked about his technique, that he has a problem and gets stuck in the game.
16:19 You think this should be, the Bangladesh game should be for him, the scoring game?
16:24 I think Bangladesh also must have done some homework.
16:28 The ball that comes in early, as Mr. Mishra explained,
16:31 the high back-lift, anyone would have a problem with that.
16:34 When the length ball comes in.
16:36 And they have the left-handers.
16:38 And they have, yeah, of course.
16:39 And Tascan is also coming back.
16:41 So, this will be a good match-up against them.
16:45 Vikram had made runs against Pakistan, but after that, he's been inconsistent.
16:51 And, see, opening is such a thing, especially in white-ball cricket,
16:55 when they make runs, they give you momentum, the middle-orders.
16:59 Relatively, they get easier situations.
17:02 Or when you get momentum, the batters below also exploit that momentum.
17:07 They utilize it well.
17:09 So, the openers, today, it's very important for them to make runs.
17:14 And I think, they're making more runs in their middle-orders.
17:18 So, they're already in form.
17:20 But if they make runs from the top, they can post a good total.
17:25 Or if they're chasing, in today's match, it can be very good.
17:29 Yeah, they should be.
17:30 Bangladesh. Let's talk about Bangladesh.
17:32 Tascan is coming back to the team.
17:34 Big boost for the Bangladesh side.
17:36 Big boost can definitely be there.
17:38 It depends on whether he does good bowling.
17:40 Like, in the early matches, we saw, he was going off-line a little.
17:44 If you look at it from the previous matches, he was coming in consistently.
17:49 But in the early three matches, he didn't perform well.
17:52 Because of that, he dropped and bowled to other fast bowlers.
17:56 There will definitely be a boost-up.
17:58 Again, if you get a little help on the pitch, with the new ball, maybe it will be very effective.
18:05 And I would like to talk a little about batting.
18:08 We saw, they're bowling Mushfiq and Mehmoodullah very low.
18:12 Both are very senior pros.
18:15 And Mehmoodullah, in the last three or four matches, has given an outstanding performance.
18:20 He has scored 100 in the last match.
18:22 I think, I think the number is a little low.
18:24 Here, they should take a chance, that Mehmoodullah, who is an informed batsman,
18:28 should be sent up to the order, so that he can play maximum balls and do maximum runs.
18:33 You know, he played on the 6th number in the last match, and before that he played on the 7th number.
18:38 I think, the combination of their batting is not good.
18:40 And this is the problem that we have seen, that all the batsmen up there,
18:44 are failing to post a good total, and that's why they're doing so.
18:47 There is a lot of pressure down there, and then Mehmoodullah gets set up,
18:50 and then they bat, but he gets late.
18:53 I think he's man-informed.
18:55 He should be.
18:56 In the last match, he got a lot of overs, he collapsed up there,
18:59 and he came in early, so as a result, he guarded the century in that match.
19:02 Yes, he got a chance to get set up, you know, he took his time, and then he, I mean, played his shots.
19:08 Will the conditions in Kolkata, hot and humid weather, of course,
19:12 will this be something that will favour Bangladesh with the spinners?
19:15 Absolutely.
19:17 You saw today, that there is a problem, especially if you get a fielding,
19:23 then it becomes very difficult for fast bowlers.
19:27 So, I think, Bangladesh will be seeing this, and you get a little bit of a spin in the pitch as well.
19:35 There is a reverse swing as well, and there are dry conditions.
19:38 But I think, somewhere, the Netherlands prefer these conditions.
19:44 Because back home, they have slow pitches, and they have spinners as well.
19:48 They have left-arm spinners, and off-spinners.
19:51 The part-timers, like Akraman, they also bowl well.
19:56 So, let's see how it goes.
19:57 It's a great kind of match, face-to-face.
20:02 So, I think, it's on the day, the team that performs better, will have a chance.
20:06 It's going to be about the day.
20:09 It's a very important thing, that we generally expect, that a team like Bangladesh,
20:15 in these conditions, you know, like I just asked, they get an edge.
20:20 But, doesn't it sometimes feel like, this thing, it's against such teams as well.
20:26 It puts more pressure on them, that this is our type of environment,
20:29 but we're not performing well in this.
20:31 It's like that.
20:32 And if you see, Calcutta is very close to Dhaka.
20:35 So, the conditions…
20:37 You're absolutely right.
20:38 The conditions are very similar to what we have seen in an IPL game.
20:44 So, we've seen that the conditions suit the formation of the Bangladesh team.
20:50 So, in that, the players in form of Bangladesh,
20:55 they have to consistently and in a long run, win a game against any opposition,
21:02 which is not happening.
21:04 Small glimpses are seen, but not a big performance.
21:08 So, they have to do that to win the match.
21:11 And I guess, they don't have a better opportunity than today,
21:15 that the in-form players perform in a long run in a game,
21:18 and the out-of-form ones, because the conditions suit them,
21:22 where the match is going to be played.
21:24 So, I guess it's a great opportunity for Bangladeshi players to perform today.
21:28 It is a great opportunity for Bangladeshi players.
21:30 So, this is going to be the second game.
21:33 This will be the second match of the day in Calcutta,
21:36 which will start at 1.30 pm.
21:38 But we'll be joining you for a big match today.
21:41 Both matches are important for each team.
21:45 But I'm sure cricket fans are going to be very, very, very excited to see the first game,
21:50 which is about to start in a little while.
21:52 The first match we'll be bringing to you is Australia versus New Zealand.
21:57 And we'll be talking about that now.
22:00 But before that, let's take a short break.
22:02 When we come back, we'll talk about New Zealand versus Australia.
22:05 Welcome back to The Pavilion. I'm Fakhr-e-Anam.
22:07 You're watching ASPORTS, TEN SPORTS and the ARY ZAP app.
22:10 Our continued coverage of the ICC Men's World Cup 2023.
22:13 And, well, we are taking you for a doubleheader today.
22:17 First of all, you'll be joining us at the Dharamshala,
22:20 where the first game of Australia versus New Zealand will start in a little while.
22:23 And then at 1.30 pm, there's another match in Kolkata,
22:25 which is the Netherlands versus Bangladesh.
22:26 Before the break, we were talking about that match,
22:28 the Netherlands versus Bangladesh.
22:30 And with me in The Pavilion right now are Shoaib Malik,
22:33 Miss Fahadul Haq, Mohin Khan and Wasim Akram.
22:35 Wasim, you're back to your in-laws again.
22:38 Yes.
22:39 Australia versus New Zealand.
22:41 These are neighbours, very close.
22:43 On one side, there are kiwis, on the other side, there are kangaroos.
22:46 So, shed some light on this.
22:48 The kiwis will be thinking about the way they lost in the last World Cup final.
22:52 Super over, super over, you got a tie.
22:56 Then after that, they lost on the boundaries.
22:58 So, unlucky for New Zealand.
22:59 I don't think they've won the ICC trophy yet, the World Cup especially.
23:02 So, yeah, good side.
23:04 And Australia, to me, peaking at the right time.
23:07 Their spinner, Zampa, is I think two wickets away to go past Brad Hodge,
23:12 who was the one-day victor in the ODI International.
23:15 Well done, 156, I think, record.
23:17 But overall, it'll be a close game.
23:19 Both sides are very professional sides.
23:21 So far, we have seen the fielding has been on the ball every time they come out to bat or bowl.
23:28 And I think Tim Suddy won't get a chance because his bowling is going well in New Zealand.
23:33 Kane Williams, obviously, his injury, his hairline fracture,
23:38 the random ball that hit his thumb.
23:41 So, yeah, equally balanced side.
23:43 Australia, maybe, maybe Stoenis is fit and so is Travis Head.
23:48 It's fit apparently.
23:49 They might play one of them or maybe both of them in the playing eleven.
23:53 We don't know yet.
23:54 Yep.
23:55 Glenn Maxwell will be a huge threat in the middle order for New Zealand today, Mishra.
23:59 Before Glenn Maxwell, I'll tell you…
24:02 Not only today, but the World Cup, the hearty and greedy.
24:05 There's a very famous story in Gymkhana.
24:08 When was Gymkhana held? In the mid-80s.
24:11 When club cricket was at peak.
24:14 So, in the eight teams of Lahore, the top teams used to play in that tournament.
24:20 Gymkhana was for two days, 75 over each.
24:22 Which is now over.
24:23 Correct.
24:24 So, once a player came from a club.
24:27 He scored 100 before lunch.
24:29 His name was Meeta.
24:31 Now, when he was matched with Meeta's team,
24:34 the whole team was meeting, "Man, let's not play Meeta today."
24:38 "Let's not play Meeta today."
24:40 "We haven't played Meeta in three months, three years."
24:43 Their team would say, "Jay Meeta has played."
24:46 Maxwell is like that.
24:47 "Jay Meeta has played."
24:49 Because he wears a shroud around his head.
24:51 It's called a license to kill.
24:53 He's there for that particular purpose.
24:56 He's not there to rotate the strike.
24:58 It doesn't matter the situation.
25:00 That's how players like this do well on a regular basis.
25:05 Because they don't have fear of losing.
25:07 They come from the environment, and most importantly,
25:10 they come from their nation, social media.
25:13 Waseem, one big thing that they performed in the match,
25:18 Malik always says that when they get a stage,
25:22 a set platform,
25:24 I think they came at the right number in the last match.
25:28 And the number of overs was clear.
25:31 They didn't come too soon.
25:33 When they came against Pakistan,
25:36 the way they hit the ball in the first game,
25:40 they got an ideal platform.
25:42 There was no pressure.
25:44 The runs were already done.
25:46 And then, he has one way to go.
25:49 I think in this situation,
25:51 there's no player more dangerous than him.
25:53 If this was in Pakistan,
25:55 the way he got out after hitting against Pakistan,
25:58 in many matches,
25:59 he got out after hitting a strange shot in the first game.
26:02 He was a newbie.
26:03 He doesn't know anyone else.
26:05 One more thing, if we see,
26:07 Jason Roy, Johnny Bestow, Alex Sales,
26:10 when they became the captain of Morgan in 2015,
26:14 they also used to get out after hitting a few shots
26:17 that it felt like, why are they kept here?
26:20 But there was a vision behind it, of a leader,
26:23 that no, these are the same people
26:26 who will make us win matches in the future.
26:29 We have to play the modern day cricket we want to play.
26:33 And look at the advantage of that.
26:36 The team was losing too,
26:38 the team of Australia.
26:40 And they were getting out after hitting such shots.
26:42 But they backed him.
26:44 And when you back someone,
26:46 then such innings come in front of you
26:48 that we saw in Glenn Maxwell.
26:50 Yes, Mohit.
26:51 This is a very good example.
26:53 In this World Cup, like we saw,
26:55 Adam Zampa, in the first two matches.
26:57 He was a very good player.
26:59 The way he came back,
27:01 he is a high wicket taker for Australia.
27:03 13 wickets, you know.
27:05 I think he got a big advantage here.
27:07 The conditions he is getting,
27:09 the spin tracks,
27:11 and the way he is bowling within the stumps,
27:13 he is getting success.
27:15 I think he is on the right track.
27:17 I think he will create an impact in this match.
27:19 Because I can see a lot of confidence in his attitude.
27:21 He is trying to come within the stumps.
27:23 The googlys, or his flippers, you know.
27:25 He is trying.
27:27 I can see his entire effort, his body language.
27:29 It has clearly changed.
27:31 We saw it in the first two matches.
27:33 He was completely off track.
27:35 He was bowling outside the off stumps.
27:37 He wasn't bowling.
27:39 I think the confidence, like we talked about Maxwell,
27:41 when you have clarity in your mind,
27:43 you know that the team is depending on you,
27:45 and this is my role,
27:47 you go full throttle.
27:49 I think it's a great, great sign for Australia.
27:51 They have made a timely comeback in the tournament.
27:53 They are in a good position now.
27:55 We can predict that they will be the number four team.
28:01 In the semi-finals?
28:03 You think so?
28:05 This match is very important for them.
28:07 This match is very important for them.
28:09 It's actually very important for both the teams.
28:11 Because New Zealand is also on the third place
28:13 on the points table.
28:15 One thing we feel is that
28:17 the team with 10 points is their breather.
28:21 But the team with 8 points,
28:23 every match is important for them.
28:25 Unless they reach 10th or 12th.
28:27 Because after one match,
28:29 suddenly,
28:31 you will be in a situation
28:33 where you will have a problem
28:35 to win the next two.
28:37 I'm sorry to cut you off,
28:39 but your wife was calling me in the morning.
28:41 Her mother called me.
28:43 She was saying,
28:45 "I'm a Chittika fan."
28:47 She was asking,
28:49 "Have you been sleeping?"
28:51 I don't blame her.
28:53 For that,
28:55 the ringer is on.
28:57 For that call.
28:59 No, no.
29:01 He's a professional.
29:03 He's on TV.
29:05 He knows what to do.
29:07 But you make a good point there,
29:09 that for the teams,
29:11 the breathing margin is not there.
29:13 The team with 8 points,
29:15 everybody is on their toes.
29:17 You can't just take it easy.
29:19 It looks like, other than South Africa and India,
29:21 everybody else has to think
29:23 very hard about...
29:25 Over here, Pakistan can spoil a party.
29:27 Of anyone's party.
29:29 They have to win their three games.
29:31 They have to win their three games.
29:33 You never know.
29:35 The team with 8 points,
29:37 to get their place,
29:39 they have to win at least two matches.
29:41 If you lose,
29:43 the pressure will come back.
29:45 It's like that.
29:47 All of a sudden, everything will change.
29:49 It would be good if...
29:51 Which team would win today for Pakistan?
29:53 Would Australia win or New Zealand?
29:55 That's a good question.
29:57 New Zealand has 8 points.
29:59 Australia has 6.
30:01 So if Australia wins,
30:03 it'll be 8.
30:05 But it's better if Australia...
30:07 It's better for Pakistan if Australia loses.
30:09 Yes, yes.
30:11 You've ruined half the nation.
30:13 That's true.
30:15 It's true.
30:17 Like I said, if you lose 5, you lose 7.
30:19 Pakistan is still...
30:21 No, no. You'll have to tell this story.
30:23 There is a lot of history in that story.
30:25 Please share it without taking names.
30:27 But I'll tell you a little setup.
30:29 There was an international test match.
30:31 It was a great test match.
30:33 It was in Britain.
30:35 And Wasim was playing.
30:37 And there were big Pakistan legends in that match.
30:39 Then suddenly a legend called.
30:41 I wasn't playing.
30:43 It was in mid-82.
30:45 There was a partnership in the test match.
30:47 And the captain was Imran.
30:49 He was a skipper.
30:51 So he started...
30:53 He told the story later.
30:55 Mudipa tells it too.
30:57 So there was a partnership in England.
30:59 It was a tough one.
31:01 So on the first ball and the second ball,
31:03 the senior player said, "Wait, I need to talk."
31:05 Senior player.
31:07 The senior player stopped the run-up.
31:09 He was an important senior player.
31:11 He had played in such a big county.
31:13 He asked everyone to be quiet.
31:15 He asked everyone to be quiet.
31:17 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:19 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:21 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:23 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:25 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:27 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:29 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:31 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:33 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:35 So he said, "Yes, tell me."

31:47 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:49 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:51 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:53 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:55 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:57 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
31:59 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:01 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:03 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:05 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:07 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:09 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:11 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:13 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:15 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:17 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:19 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:21 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:23 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:25 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:27 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:29 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:31 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:33 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:35 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:37 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:39 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:41 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:43 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:45 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:47 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:49 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:51 So he said, "Yes, tell me."
32:53 So he said, "Yes, tell me."

36:17 I should hope so.
36:19 I hope so too as well.
36:21 Anyway, gentlemen,
36:23 I have to tell you something very important.
36:25 What?
36:27 I have to tell you that breakfast is here.
36:29 Close it.
36:31 Close it.
36:33 Actually, it wasn't breakfast.
36:35 We had it as breakfast when we left the hotel.
36:37 It's here now.
36:39 As you said, it's here as per your health.
36:41 Two parathas, two omelettes.
36:43 It's here.
36:45 Let's go.
36:47 We're going to take you live to the action.
36:49 Gentlemen, thank you very much.
36:51 Thank you.
36:53 Thank you.
36:55 We'll meet you after both the matches.
36:57 Tune in to the Pavilion.
36:59 Idwit Gulkan, see you on the other side.
37:01 (laughing)
