00:00 a quarter of a billion dollar contract, go out there on one leg and try to grid it out
00:04 for the team because he knows that the success of all of us, you know, it's an 11 man unit
00:09 out there but it is predicated on his success and for him to go out there and show us that
00:14 early in the season, you know, he's a special guy.
00:16 So, I have to say I'm not on Joe watch, I don't know how healthy he is, he looks pretty
00:21 good, we had a good crisp day today, but I think the biggest thing that came out of early
00:26 in the season is that, you know, everyone knows how tough this guy is and went out there
00:30 and showed it.
00:32 How much do they move around, Fred Warner and Nick?
00:38 I mean not crazy, they play where they play, they have a few different variations but I
00:44 think the 49ers are obviously they're a very well coached team but this defense has had
00:49 a lot of success because they win a lot of individual matchups and, you know, Fred's
00:54 the Mike and he's going to be right there in the middle and I, you know, I have a very,
00:57 very high opinion of him and his film, it just keeps getting better, you know, as I've
01:02 studied him this week but just throughout his whole career I've always thought he was
01:05 a very, very good player.
01:06 So, we got to go get a hat on a hat on him and block him up to have success on the run
01:11 and pass.
01:12 You went against Logan and Pratt obviously every day, any familiarity with those, I mean
01:19 these are probably the two best linebacker groups in the league probably going at it.
01:22 Yep, I'd probably throw Tampa Bay in there too, you know, maybe Buffalo but yeah I think,
01:28 you know, Jermaine and Logan are incredible and they're a huge reason why our defense
01:34 plays how they play but, you know, I'm just watching Fred gets off a lot of blocks very
01:40 quickly so we're going to have to get on him, latch him up and get a hat on a hat so we
01:45 can have some success in the run game.
01:46 Do you think that's what makes him so good, Fred, just his leverage?
01:50 He's also a big man, he's 6'3", 230, he can run, he's a very smart player, he's been at
01:57 the top of the league since he entered the league and, you know, always have a lot of
02:02 respect for your opponent but, you know, Fred is a guy that has been at the top of his position
02:06 for a long time so, you know, we're definitely accounting for him and going to go out there
02:10 and get a hat on him.
02:12 What about the interior of that D-line?
02:14 Everyone talks especially about Bosa because he's the star, the interior of that D-line
02:18 stands out, I mean they're really good.
02:20 Yep, played against Javon Hargrave since the Shrine Bowl back in 2016.
02:26 I remember they were saying there's this stud kid from South Carolina State and the other
02:30 team and he's proven that for the last eight years and then you got Armstead as well, Kinlaw
02:37 is very good as well and they just signed Randy Gregory so this is a dangerous front
02:41 with a lot of individual talent and they play well together as a group so we're going to
02:47 be at our very best come Sunday afternoon.
02:50 Is it talent fitting scheme, is it scheme fitting talent, I mean what do you think it
02:54 is?
02:55 I think it's both, I mean this is the NFL so you have to have a combination of that,
02:58 they're a very well coached team, I mean the last two D.C.'s they've had have moved on
03:04 to head coaching roles so you know that they're growing talent from the inside and developing
03:09 guys based on their scheme but also who have tremendous individual ability so it's a good
03:14 team and we're going to have to go out there and win.
