00:04 Week number eight of the National Football League regular season,
00:09 starting last night in Buffalo, the Bills hosting the Bucs.
00:12 And Donnie, any time a team is booked as north of a touchdown favorite,
00:17 there is always the idea of a backdoor cover.
00:20 And we saw that in a large way last night for the Buccaneers and the Bills.
00:25 Buffalo was up by 14 for a good majority of the second half.
00:29 In fact, they had held Tampa Bay scoreless until their final touchdown,
00:34 with just over two minutes remaining.
00:37 Tampa went on a 17 play, 92 yard,
00:40 seven minute and 21 second drive to score a touchdown,
00:45 convert a two point conversion, and that backdoor again wide open in Buffalo.
00:51 The Bills do win, they improve to five and three,
00:54 just their second victory in their last four games.
00:57 They win by 624, 18, Donnie, but
01:00 the Buccaneers do cover as a nine and a half point underdog.
01:04 >> Yeah, just too many points here, that's all it was.
01:05 But also the betting public was fueling the fire here to bet the Buffalo Bills.
01:09 If you watched early on in that football game,
01:11 you probably thought the Bills would be a runaway victor,
01:13 because they were the better team up and down.
01:15 But key turnovers here, letting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in the door.
01:19 And again, when you're up 14 points in the NFL,
01:21 the team itself doesn't care that they're up 14.
01:23 The goal is to say, well, if you're gonna score,
01:26 you're better going a really long drive and drain this clock.
01:28 And if you get a touchdown, so be it.
01:30 That's exactly what happened to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
01:32 I was happy with Josh Allen's performance, and
01:34 we wanted to see him be a little bit more athletic in that game.
01:37 Which he returned back to running 41 yards and a touchdown there.
01:40 You saw a lot of options.
01:41 The one thing to be optimistic about the Buffalo Bills is,
01:43 it's not just the Josh Allen, Stephon Diggs show.
01:46 You saw he had a nice game out of James Cook again.
01:48 As long as he's getting like 15 carries,
01:49 he's averaging close to five yards per pop over the past couple games.
01:52 He's been really effective.
01:54 But also that wide receiver course, Shakir, Davis, Diggs, Kincaid.
01:57 All of those guys melding into one, along with a top dog like Diggs,
02:01 who didn't have to shine last night.
02:03 This is what happens.
02:04 The Buffalo Bills is gonna be a pretty good offensive team.
02:06 The questions as always, is that defense going to be able to hold up for
02:09 the rest of the regular season?
02:11 And next week, the trade deadline on Tuesday.
02:13 We'll see if they can beef that up.
02:14 The Bills will take the victory here.
02:16 They weren't all that impressive, but quite frankly,
02:18 they probably should have won, which they did.
02:20 And also covered the spread, which they did.
