00:00 Thanks for joining us Kane, you're preparing for the Warrnambool Junior Seaside Classic
00:04 this weekend and the under 18 boys, how do you feel the team will go?
00:07 Yeah, nah, it should be good.
00:09 We definitely, we've got a chance to go to the end in the grand final, which hopefully
00:14 we do, but yeah.
00:15 What do you think the strengths of the side will be?
00:18 Definitely being quick, pushing the ball ahead and using our size and using our defence as
00:23 well.
00:24 And personally, what role are you hoping to play for the team?
00:29 Probably around the paint, using my size and my strength to finish around the ring and
00:34 the mid-ranges as well.
00:36 And can you pick out one or two teammates you think are in for a big carnival?
00:40 Probably Mason Osborne and I reckon Oli Farouk is going to turn it up this weekend.
00:46 What do those boys do well?
00:47 Mason's always, he's a good all-around player, he's good at defence, good at offence, he
00:51 can use the screens, shoot well, all that sort of stuff.
00:55 Oli's a big man so he can use his body down low and yeah, should be good.
01:00 And as a junior you did a lot of athletics at quite a high level, has that helped you
01:04 with your basketball career?
01:05 Yeah, definitely, I can use my speed, definitely, and yeah, it definitely helps with running
01:12 up and down and using my agility and stuff like that.
01:16 And at 16 you've got a few good years ahead of you in your basketball, what are your goals
01:20 over the next 12 to 18 months?
01:22 Yeah, probably next year I'd like to play for the Seahawks and this year I've been in
01:26 the CBL squad so hopefully I get a game there.
01:30 No worries, well best of luck on the weekend.
01:34 Thanks.
