00:02 and this is the Rivian R1S.
00:05 This is the SUV version of the R1T pickup truck,
00:08 which won our Truck of the Year competition last year.
00:11 And from the B-pillar forward,
00:12 it's the same vehicle that we know and love,
00:15 but out here everything gets different.
00:16 Door handles, please.
00:17 And go.
00:19 Bigger door, pretty much the same back seat
00:23 with a bit more leg room,
00:24 and then out back we have a split tailgate,
00:27 which is electrically operated
00:29 because it's an electric Rivian.
00:32 It's done this nice split tailgate.
00:34 You get plenty of space back here,
00:36 and if you need to be more,
00:37 you can fold the third row like that,
00:39 you can fold the second row like that,
00:42 and there you go, nice flat floor for plenty of stuff.
00:45 Under the hood is nothing, absolutely nothing,
00:48 because it's electric, it's got a front,
00:50 just like the R1T.
00:51 Now the R1S, this one has the same quad motor powertrain
00:55 as the R1T, same insane acceleration,
00:58 and actually we've noticed slightly better handling,
01:01 and we anticipate a little bit better off-road performance
01:03 because of that shorter wheelbase,
01:04 gives it a better breakover angle.
01:06 Now pricing is a bit of a moving target
01:09 in the world of Rivian,
01:10 but they are saying that this quad motor version
01:12 with 360 miles of range is going to list for $92,000,
01:17 and later on down the road,
01:19 they're gonna introduce a dual motor version
01:21 with a smaller battery.
01:22 That version will have 260 miles of range
01:24 and should cost around $78,000.
