00:00When Ford debuted the Maverick in 2021, it seemed like a godsend.
00:15A little pickup trucklet that was both utilitarian and affordable?
00:20Sign us up!
00:21Sign everyone up, in fact!
00:23However, it is time for a refresh, and so here it is, the 2025 Ford Maverick with the
00:28headline news here being, the hybrid engine finally gets the option of all-wheel drive.
00:34Yes.
00:35This is big, because previously you could not get all-wheel drive with the hybrid at
00:39all.
00:40Now, it's available on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims.
00:44There are no changes in output for the 2.0L EcoBoost or 2.5L hybrid powertrains, though
00:50the CVT in the hybrid has been beefed up to handle the all-wheel drive.
00:54Other 2025 updates include a redesigned front bumper and grille and auto-LED headlights,
00:59though I gotta say, I'm still rather attached to the old fascia design.
01:04That new eruption green exterior color, though?
01:06That's tight.
01:07A note about trim levels.
01:09The trimmer is now its own trim above the Lariat instead of as an XLT and Lariat package
01:14like it previously was.
01:15Inside, a 13.2-inch touchscreen is standard for all models, and new materials and trim
01:21colors are found across the seats, console, instrument panel, and doors.
01:25Are you a fan of grabber blue accents?
01:27Because you can now get them with the Aspen Gray or Navy Pier theme trim on XLT Mavericks.
01:32Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now wireless, too.
01:36The only mileage figures Ford shared at this time are 40mpg in the city for the all-wheel
01:40drive hybrid, 42mpg for the front-wheel drive hybrid, with that front-drive hybrid being
01:45the standard model.
01:47Prices now start at $27,890, which is a far cry from the OG $20,000 starting price when
01:54the Maverick first launched, but the 2025 model is still affordable.
01:59Things go up from there to include the Lariat Hybrid AWD for $38,330 and the Tremor EcoBoost
02:054WD for $41,390.
02:08You can place your order for the new Maverick and Maverick Hybrid on August 1st, with Ford
02:12expecting deliveries to start late this year.
