Former Manchester United team-mate remembers 'humble' Charlton

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Alex Stepney has paid tribute to Bobby Charlton.

00:00 I was very fortunate to be asked to speak at the luncheon before the Everton game when

00:08 they named the stands, the Bobby Charlton stand from the South stand.

00:11 And so I exposed and myself had to speak at this wonderful luncheon.

00:19 And before we went in, Bobby was there and I went over to him and said, "You okay?"

00:25 And he seemed, he was humble.

00:29 He was very humble.

00:30 And he actually said to me, "I don't deserve this."

00:33 I said, "Bobby, you deserve every honor that you've received throughout your football career

00:40 and whatever else is to come."

00:43 And because, and if you look back, if you ever see that, when he came on the pitch with

00:47 his lovely wife, Norma, the tears were in his eyes, what was happening.

00:52 And that was Bobby.

00:53 He was so humble and a great guy.
