Manchester United legends speak of the late great Bobby Charlton after the World Cup winners funeral

00:21 hoped that my ability was good enough to get me some success,
00:26 which I've been lucky enough to have done.
00:28 >> You have to think what he's been through coming into the club as a young man.
00:34 He was on that plane in Munich, he barely survived.
00:40 >> I don't think you can describe the Munich aircraft, the tragedy.
00:45 What he must have gone through.
00:47 Bobby and all the babes, they were so close.
00:49 It was unbelievable, it must have been tragic.
00:53 >> Played probably the most important part as a player, and
00:57 rebuilding the football club and the football team.
00:59 And people's belief in the football club.
01:01 And then of course, winning the World Cup.
01:04 >> Without Bobby Charlton, England probably would not have won the World Cup in 1966.
01:09 He was that important to the England team.
01:11 >> He voted the best player in the world that year, and
01:14 winning the championship of the United, winning the European Cup of the United
01:18 after that, and then all of his work as a director.
01:21 He was always very, very supportive,
01:23 always believing that we could do whatever we set out to do.
01:26 And to look at a person like that, very, very inspirational.
01:29 >> Just making me a cup of tea, offering me a bit of advice,
01:32 which was always go and enjoy it.
01:35 Enjoy playing for this great football club.
01:38 He kept it as simple as that, but once Bobby Charlton's making you a cup of tea,
01:42 it always tasted so great.
01:44 >> All the Manchester United supporters all over the real old
01:46 cellis, his memories, a bit of it, no doubt about it, and full of dessert.
01:51 >> I loved the way he played his football.
01:53 He was just a character in the game.
