00:00 Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the Top 10 Most Amazing
00:11 Spider-Man Video Games.
00:22 Number 10.
00:35 We'll be the first to admit that this PS1 and 64 classic probably hasn't held up too
00:40 well with its controls.
00:42 Just look at all the wall crawling.
00:44 However, we love this game primarily because of how it finally let us live out those spidey
00:48 adventures we spent years reading.
00:57 Seeing our favorite villains in action and ready to fight was incredibly exciting and
01:01 with Stanley narrating, it truly felt like we were living out our comic book fantasy.
01:05 Plus, the corny voice acting still hits us a certain way regardless of how archaic it
01:10 may seem to younger audiences.
01:19 Number 9.
01:20 Spider-Man Web of Shadows
01:33 You don't necessarily play Web of Shadows for the story or the combat.
01:37 No, you play Web of Shadows for the utter ridiculousness that's on display.
01:42 We mean that in a positive way too.
01:44 Web of Shadows has some of the hokey, edgelord attitude that we saw in Spider-Man 3.
01:48 The difference between the two is that the game is way more fun than the movie.
02:00 Even with the questionable voice acting and writing, it's all smiles when you start using
02:04 pedestrians to slide on and fight symbiote versions of your friends.
02:08 It's complete and total chaos in this game, but that's what makes Web of Shadows such
02:12 a fun and unforgettable experience.
02:23 Number 8.
02:24 Spider-Man
02:31 We really gotta give some love to the first game based on Sam Raimi's movies.
02:36 Spider-Man for PS2, Xbox, and GameCube was simply remarkable in its scope and execution.
02:41 Whereas the PS1 and N64 Spider-Man nailed the tone and general gameplay, this title
02:46 took it a step further by giving us complete freedom to swing around and explore New York.
02:57 On top of that, you had spectacular unlockables like the Green Goblin campaign, a first-person
03:01 camera mode, and even the ability to play as MJ.
03:04 Plus, you had the legendary Bruce Campbell as your tutorial guide.
03:18 Number 7.
03:19 Spider-Man Mysterio's Menace
03:28 The handheld games really don't get a ton of love, and Mysterio's Menace is the one
03:32 that's unfairly overshadowed the most.
03:35 This GBA title boasted some impressive visuals and audio design, a rarity amongst many third-party
03:40 GBA games, especially licensed ones.
03:49 And even though it's a pretty short game, the level design, bosses, and controls make
03:52 it thoroughly enjoyable to play.
03:54 Besides, how often does Mysterio get to make a meaningful appearance and not be played
03:58 up for laughs or dismissed to the role of an early boss?
04:10 Number 6.
04:11 Ultimate Spider-Man
04:12 What do you get when you take the open-world design of the Spider-Man movie games and give
04:23 it a less realistic art style?
04:25 You get this tough cookie.
04:27 Ultimate Spider-Man was exceptional in how it managed to introduce even more cool ideas
04:32 to this new 3D era of the web-slinger.
04:40 Case in point, you can play as Venom.
04:42 So, if you wanted to be the hero of New York, then sure, be Spidey.
04:46 But if you want to tear stuff apart and eat people, it's Venom all the way.
04:50 The only reason this isn't higher is because the boss fights can be aggravating in the
04:54 worst ways possible.
04:56 Best to keep a cool head if you revisit this.
05:05 Number 5.
05:06 Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions
05:16 Activision really had their studios go through a bizarre era of experimental Spidey games.
05:21 Thankfully, they worked, for the most part.
05:23 And of them all, Shattered Dimensions was an absolute blast.
05:27 Here, you get to play as four versions of the web-slinger, each playing differently
05:31 from each other and having unique focuses for their levels.
05:41 So you have your mix of stealth, massive combat encounters, and a plethora of powers to play
05:46 with on top of incredible redesigns of various villains.
05:49 Shattered Dimensions was just filled to the brim with creativity and passion, and it's
05:53 why so many swear by the game to this day.
06:03 Number 4.
06:04 Spider-Man 2
06:14 Activision's Spider-Man 2 was long heralded as the best Spider-Man video game, and it
06:18 isn't hard to see why.
06:19 Once again, we were given a recreation of Manhattan to swing around and play in.
06:30 This time, the controls were tighter, the side missions had a bigger scope, more allies
06:34 and villains were stuffed in despite not being in the movie, and who could forget those enjoyable
06:39 pizza delivery missions?
06:40 You had a video game based on the best Spidey movie ever, coupled with a ton of amazing
06:44 ideas to give players more to do.
06:47 What more could you ask for?
06:55 Number 3.
06:56 Marvel's Spider-Man, Miles Morales
07:09 In all honesty, Miles Morales could have had a way better story than it turned out to be.
07:13 But regardless of how one may feel about the tinkerer's underwhelming reveal, the game
07:17 still flourished with its new ideas.
07:19 Venom powers, invisibility, and boss fights with foes like the Prowler made Miles Morales
07:24 just as fun as the 2018 game.
07:35 Even though the game is significantly shorter, we were more than happy to spend our time
07:39 with what may be the first Spider-Man game not focused on Peter Parker.
07:54 Number 2.
07:55 Marvel's Spider-Man
08:04 Back in 2018, Insomniac Games did the unthinkable and managed to outdo Activision's Spider-Man
08:09 2.
08:10 How so?
08:11 By making it the ultimate Spidey experience.
08:18 Swing around Manhattan, stop crimes committed by criminals, utilize gadgets to investigate
08:22 areas, making fights more interesting, and of course, the suits.
08:26 Oh, the glorious wardrobe of suits from movies, TV, and various comics.
08:32 It was a massive love letter to the webhead from head to toe, and yet, somehow, they have
08:37 outdone themselves.

08:59 Number 1.
09:00 Marvel's Spider-Man 2
09:02 Well, they went and did it again.
09:13 The mad brilliance from Insomniac Games shines once more with Spidey's latest outing.
09:18 On the surface, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 looks like more of the same what we saw in its predecessor.
09:23 However, this new title comes with a handful of quality of life improvements between traversal,
09:28 controls, and UI.
09:36 As for the story, it is perhaps the best and most mature Spider-Man story we've seen since
09:40 Raimi's movies between Peter's internal conflicts with the symbiote and the visceral
09:45 depiction of Venom.
09:46 If you don't have a PS5 yet, now is the time to get one.
